They had several minis for D&D/Pathfinder and other D&D accessories. I was able to find most of the items I wanted. They also have a good number of games that are great for families and learning.

The staff is friendly. Quick to help if you have questions. I came here to hang out ans play magic but ended up meeting some cool people playing some other random game. No idea what I played but it was a lot of fun. The place is very small and the walls and ceiling show their age. Their inventory is up-to-date. It is nice to see boxes not covered in dust! The calendar out front is great to check whats happening as you walk down carry street.

Great assortment of boards games and a very clean store! There is a large Magic the Gathering presence on Friday Nights, and from my experience visiting on a Friday night, the crowd has a good mix of age and diversity. Parking is not easy to come by, but a short walk through a trendy neighborhood is no bother.Prices are fair, store is well lit, and they utilize their space properly to accommodate large groups.

Would be nice if you updated google maps to tell people its closed so people dont waste there time. An obscure notice on a an updates/about tab no one looks at is pretty lazy everyone will just look at open hours, why have google maps say the store is open if its barred up. Every store in the area including competitors are open. Sad. I like how the last covid update said youd open by late summer xD

Cool, cool place. I wish more game stores had ding and dent or previously owned sections. I like a healthy game box as much as the next person, but Im also thrifty enough to be happy with a VERY slightly damaged box for 50% off. And in a couple of cases, Im not even sure what the damage entails. Great store that I wish I lived closer to.

I would recommend coming here when its not busy with intense gamers in the back. It really starts to smell. Other than that, this place is great. You can find discounted games in the back and hang out with your friends and play board games.

This place is the best little game shop in the entire Richmond area!!! The selection of games here is out of this world! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Cool store, good selection and a cool atmosphere. I dont want to knock it a star but when they are busy it is definitely too much. We went for the first time during a card game tournament and it was impossible to get to every section of the store and look at everything we wanted. Next time we will shoot for a less busy time.

This is such an amazing game store! They had everything we were looking for from D&D stuff to family board games. All of the games and accessories looked well chosen and they were priced very reasonably! We loved it and will definitely be back!

Fantastic store for board game enthusiasts. Along with a great selection of the highest rated board games, they also have a few traditional games to choose from. Events and gatherings are regularly hosted. There is a large discount section where the prices cant be beaten anywhere else. There is also a library of free games to play inside the store, with the only condition that customers treat the games delicately and put things away neatly. Would definitely recommend.

Worker took something right out of my hand and put it back while I was looking at it... Granted, apparently I reached behind the counter to see it, but there wasnt anyone there to help me. I was thinking about purchasing the item (pre-built deck), but I needed to know more about it first. Guess not... Thats when I knew I wouldnt be spending any money there.

Small but mighty, this store has been a fixture of my gaming experience for close to a decade. I stop in every time Im in town! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff, interesting variety of games and supplies, board game library and a good amount of play space. Plus, as a queer black woman, I appreciate that I have never been made to feel othered while shopping here. My recommendation couldnt be higher.

I make a stop here almost every time Im in Carytown! Cozy space with a super friendly staff willing to talk about the product and give buying advice. I primarily come for MTG packs and singles and D&D supplies, but their board game selection always tempts me. A bit cramped for events, but that just comes with the territory of being in a Carytown storefront.

Awesome games and Magic the Gathering

Been buying magic from this shop for a while. However, they are extremely cheap when buying cards, and for some reason they always suspect what you are trying to sell is counterfeit. Its very frustrating spending money on booster packs, and when you try to sell the money cards from them they refuse to buy them because they find them suspicious. Great shop for buying, but selling to them is too much of a hassle and they scalp you in payment and then sell them for about 5 times more than what they give. I understand they need to turn a profit, but the amounts they charge in shop is ridiculous compared to what they buy them for. They should be better about authentication, having someone at the counter determine its worth and authenticity just by looking at the card isnt a very good way to buy.

Huge selection, open late on a Sunday, cool minis, boardgames, card games, dice, etc. They had everything. We couldnt throw our money at them fast enough. Will be going back tomorrow to look around more. They even had some cool stuff on sale.

The best place to go if you are looking for a wide variety of tabletop games, in the Richmond area. They also, regularly have many games available as scratch and dent, which has greatly aided the growth of my miniatures collection. The staff is knowledgeable about the culture surrounding the games they sell, which is super important when deciding what games to invest your time and money into. The one downside to this place is the competition for table space on any day they run MTG events.

Ive been going here for the past 25 years or so. They arent the cheapest, but its like going to a great bar for a beer. Sure its cheaper to buy a sixpack from the grocery store but you miss the selection and atmosphere of this great shop. If you enjoy table top games, be it cards, miniatures, or board games, youll find something to like about this place and the people who frequent it.

The selection is pretty good but the prices are a full 100% higher than what you get elsewhere. This wouldnt be a problem if I got service to make up for it. But the idea of paying markup to support local businesses is lost here, where they have one employee sitting behind the counter staring at her phone.

More expensive than ordering those games online. But think of it as paying for expert advice from staff members who have played most of the games and can give you good advice. Has been my geek headquarters for over 20 years.

A really neat little game shop for euro style board games and miniature gaming figures. They have a great and constantly changing inventory. So you will never find the same old games just sitting on the shelves for years collecting dust. They also have a great scratch and dent section that every gamer should check out. In fact the only problem i do have with the store is when they have gaming tournaments during regular store hours. While that is going on, the store is so packed full of gamers, tables, chairs, that you cant move about in the store. Other than that, this is a great place for all of your euro gaming needs.

If youre into board games, this is the place to go. They have several popular indie board games along with a ton of games Ive never even heard of. I picked up a copy of Betrayal at Baldurs Gate and Ive been playing it nonstop. Dont forget to check their slightly damaged section for great deals.

So not only do they have a great selection of board games and puzzles, I decided I wanted to try my hand at Magic: The Gathering. The man behind the counter not only told me a bit about the game, but also helped me pick a starter pack, for my friends and I. To top it off, there where several gentleman playing the game in the store. After I bought the pack I walked to the back and played my first two games with a guy named Zach, dude destroyed me thoroughly but I enjoyed the learning experience. It is a very nice place, with helpful and friendly people all over the place. Thanks.

This is a longtime gaming store in Richmond, I have been going here since they opened thirty or more years ago. Space is a little cramped but a lot of gaming tables allow different groups to play at the same time. Shopping area is small but full of interesting options. Better to go with a group than by yourself although you will probably find new friends here. Staff is hit or miss, there are a couple who are excellent and a few who are not particularly helpful.
