I called Morning Star after looking around last minute for a storage unit. I did inquire about a unit here but later decided to go with a competitor and it didn’t work out.Melinda called me later that day and asked if I needed a unit and stated they had what I was looking for so I ended up going back and getting the unit.10/10 service! Malinda is very professional, nice, and helpful. She keeps this facility in perfect running order from what Ive seen. It has lots of perks for workers/crafts-people like myself. Its also musician friendly. Since I craft musical instruments, this is essential for me. This is the only place in town where one can get a space like this. They dont seem to rest on their laurels though because everything is really top notch.

We just moved in but what an amazing experience! Great spot for bands - 24/7 access, no limit on rehearsal hours, and bathrooms. Competitive price too! Manager was incredibly helpful in procuring the space and made us feel apart of the morningstar family 😀

Excellent customer service and professionalism from property manager, Melinda Bastiaensen. Answered all my questions and had me set up with the perfect unit in less than 30 minutes. The facility is accommodating and top of the line in a historic building. Highly recommend for people who need a little (or a lot) extra space.

Convenient downtown location for any residents who live in the city. Melinda and Aron were both very helpful in person and on the phone. When I moved in, I was walked through the instructions and everything was explained clearly in detail. Great location!

From the moment I booked a unit with them, Morningstar Storage was personable and did everything to make sure I was well taken care of upon arrival. The day I moved into my unit was the same. Clean, the beginning of storage the lady that helped me was amazing and friendly. The last couple of years however they have new staff not so friendly, place remains clean however i get a letter every year of an almost 70 dollar raising of prices. I could understand a small fee, but almost a 100 is quite a bit to go up every year i went fro like 160 to almost 300 now! frustrated to say the least .

Great place for storage. Tons of size options at a good rate. They really try and find the best unit for you vs. other places that try to up sell you. Very flexible with my move in date and being available to open up my unit to necessary people in the event that I am unable to be there. Great staff. Would definitely recommend.

Best storage company I have worked with in the last 30+ years of sales. Melinda and her staff are great. The facility provides a cover dock and several types of wheeled carts to move your boxes. I was able to unload a car load of stuff in 1 trip. Melinda and her staff keep the place well lit and clean.

Morningstar Storage is the best storage facility in our area by far. The facility is safe and secure with locked access that requires a code. The main office is visible as soon as you walk in which is great because some storage facilities feel like ghost towns. I frequent the facility during the day so I have the pleasure of seeing the wonderful property manager Mrs. Melinda. She does a great job of running the facility and provides excellent customer service. Ive never seen such a clean and well maintained facility. She is great at her job and goes out of her way to retain your business and assist as needed. Not to mention she keeps a well stocked supply of goodies and treats in her office that she will spoil you with.

Rodney was awesome. Extremely professional, straight forward and helpful, the price was beyond fair for the unit we rented and the insurance on the unit was extremely fair. The price advertised was the price paid, plus the insurance; Rodney also went above and beyond and installed a new locking mechanism so we could provide our own cylinder lock. This has been a most pleasant experience, no gimmicks, fees, or unexpected costs. I will always recommend this business to others, and will never consider using another storage solution in the future. A+++ company.

I just moved from mini price storage to morningstar . The main reason of my interest was the 24hr access to my unit. Mini price storage access stopped at 845pm which did not work for me. The customer service from Melinda the manager was outstanding. She showed me about 10 units and did not rush me. The units were bigger than what i was paying for previously. units are industrial with wood floor in a historic building. So 5 stars for Melinda and staff.

The Brandylane team keeps their books here, and weve always found the facility easy to access and navigate! After a massive flood of our last warehouse, were glad to know our inventory is safe. Definitely a good place to store your stuff.

Ive been renting a storage unit from this facility for a while now. I used them with my transfer from Houston, TX to VA. The staff is incredible, especially Mike, for whatever reason he is there when I need to remove and place more things in my unit. A true professional!The facilities are always clean and well lit. Parking can be a challenge but overall a great facility.

The manager, Woody, is friendly and professional. Even working on a Sunday. He explained everything to us and showed us the available units. Woody is top notch in my book; even if he is from Houston. Ha! The facility is clean and well maintained. Their is a unloading dock and carts to use to make your move easier. I look forward to utilizing my new storage space. Thanks!

Nice spacious and clean

Moving my things there was super easy - clean facility, good security, big elevator, easy access. But their customer service is really what stands out. When I was traveling out of the country, they had a roof leak that they identified (before any damage was done), and they called asking if I wanted to move my things to a different until since I was under the leak. I was in New Zealand, so they moved all my things to a larger unit for me, no problem. I dont ever stress about leaving my belongings there. Best self-storage unit Ive dealt with (and Ive moved around a lot!)

I will always go to RVA Self Storage for help when in Richmond. I was ina bind and thanks to them I was able successfully get my move done easily. The customer service and willingness to work with and understand life on lifes terms is amazing. So. Happy with them.

Been with RVA Self-Storage since late 2015. Hours are convenient, my belongings are secure, and the downtown location cannot be beat (city apartments = little to no closet space).Management is always super fast to respond to any inquires and very friendly. They host rummage sales on a periodic basis with food etc which is cool if you want to sell your stuff, and are excellent about notifying renters about anything they may need to be aware of that could impede access (e.g. city street closures).Overall - I highly recommend RVA Self Storage to anyone in Richmond looking for a great place to store their belongings.

Rented a locker here for a couple years. In that time, charges almost doubled. Hours to access your locker were restricted, and the overall value to the customer decreased while new ownership dumped money into the facility. If you need a locker and you need it to be in downtown Richmond, Im not sure what other choice you have. ...maybe reconsider youre need to store things vs getting rid of things you dont need. ... Thats my $0.02.

This wonderful, old building was perfect for our valuable possessions in a climate friendly environment.The manager, Woody goes above and beyond, even working on Sunday. He gave us the grand tour and showed us some example units leading to our choice of a huge unit that just happened to be on a special deal that month – even answering my wife’s questions about potential ghosts in this historic structure.I especially admire the community involvement of this business which hosts a variety of events such as Toys for Tots, holiday gift wrapping stations, hot dogs at its communal yard sales, paper shredding day and more.I can’t recommend this place and its management more strongly!
