Awesome Staff! Janice really helped me over the phone and in the store! She was very patient and answered all my questions in a simple and easy to understand manner. Ozzy was also awesome! Super nice and very cool guy! Helped me hook up the trailer and made the process fun!

Easy pick up and drop off process today. Rented a pickup truck and auto transport. The truck was spotless and brand new!Ozzy, the associate who prepped our trailer, was a great guy. Very thorough, polite, and had a great personality! He made sure that we were comfortable with operating everything before we left.5 star experience all around. Thanks guys!Update -We repeated the process today, bringing my wifes car back from Newport News. Booked last minute and our equipment was switched to another location. That just wouldnt do, we wanted to come back here!Kurt, the manager, took care of switching the reservation to his location for tomorrow. Then called back soon after, he had a cancelation and our equipment was available today!I loaded up the car onto the transport with confidence on my own this time thanks to Ozzys detailed instructions and we had another great trip in a 19 F150 XLT.Ive rented equipment from several other stores, in different cities. Never have I had such a fantastic experience.Kurt, thank you - your team rocks!

Thank you for sending a truck out that you had to jumpstart. I love waiting 90 minutes for roadside assistance to bring me a new battery the first time I stop for gas 38 miles later. Really made my day that you wouldnt run another truck out to me to save me time. Good decisions being made by the techs and managers at this location. Gold star for you.

Rented a 6X12 trailer for 3 days. Staff was friendly & professional during the trailer hook up and drop off. Would do business again...

This is one of two u-haul locations that I have preferred since the 70 s. They can usually provide whatever you need in moving at competitive prices. Today Im having a tow hitch installed on my Nissan Rogue and I will let you know how that goes...6-27-18, I gave this location 5 stars because Kurt installed my tow hitch in such a professional manner that it looks like my Nissan Rogue Sport was made with a type 3 hitch! The job cost a few dollars more than I expected but it was well worth it.I also purchased 2 motorcycle tie downs and a heavy duty lock costing less than Wal-Mart ! If anyone wants a hitch installed, Just call and ask for Kurt !

Been renting from this branch for several months. Key cards sometimes don’t work. But my biggest complaint about this U-Haul location is terrible customer service.They recently updated the doors to the units and much to my surprise my belongings were moved out of the unit and put back in a damaging way. When I spoke with Janet, first about my lock they had misplaced and secondly about my belongings she said I would need to fill out a form but then she couldn’t find the form.She said she would notify the manager and I have yet to hear from the manager. You would think their customers would be the number one priority; but I guess not in this case. Uhaul will be losing me as a customer and I will be contacting the corporate offices about this franchisee location.

I give Curt (sp) and staff five stars. He and the gal inside, I should of got her name, where excellent. They installed a hitch and lights on my vehicle. The job looked great and their patience and professionalism where spot on. I will come back for sure.

Im always in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff is really friendly and the 24 hour drop off is a huge plus. My reimbursement for my deposit was also processed in a timely manner. Im very satisfied with my rental.

My husband & I needed to rent a car trailer to move a car that was completely dead to someone who was purchasing it off us. We called multiple dealers in the area, and then when we talked to someone at this location they said they had one available. Mind you - we live 40 mins away from this location. We drove all the way out, and as soon as we asked, the girl behind the counter said there was none available. We were like ........? We called this location twice to confirm they had a trailer, drove all the way out and this girl straight up lied. She said when we got there the one out there is already reserved with another uhaul truck and i told you we had one available because we were supposed to have gotten one back by the time you got here but they called and said they wouldnt make it until later tonight FIRST AND FOREMOST it doesnt matter if someone says theyll return something, if its reserved or not on the lot YOU DONT TELL SOMEONE ITS AVAILABLE. absolutely the WORST location to have gone to. no communication and no one can do their jobs right, stay away if you can.

You know how to *take* the reservation, you just dont know how to *hold* the reservation.We reserved our trailer a month in advance and were sent here by dispatch. Many miles way out of our way. How they couldnt find a trailer closer to us with a months notice is beyond me (I dont particularly want an explanation. Pretty sure it would make my ears bleed). And of course, that wasnt really the problem.The reservation was canceled the day of our move and rented out to someone else. The employees all laughed it up because Name-politely-withheld-from-this-review is always doing stuff like that. Ha! Ha!After taking care of several other customers, they decided to find another trailer for us. (Such service!) The new trailer was less than a mile from our house. (Another head scratcher). Unfortunately, we ran into difficulties there as well and were unable to rent said trailer. I cant really hold that against this location, but I certainly blame U-haul as a whole.

Have never had any issue with this location. Always have what I need and are very helpful. Have rented trucks numerous times from this location and used storage. I will continue to do so even if it is further than other rental providers.

Rented a trailer online and went here to pick it up. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They were very quick at getting everything setup. Well use them again for our next rental.

Rented a truck from them and realized that a day to them was not 24 hrs. Also the truck I rented was in town so it was not a truck that was any less than a total piece of junk. One headlight was pointed straight down and the seat had a bar running across it right where the back joined the bottom. By the end of the day my back was done. Awful.

I reserved a 14 truck to be picked up at U-Haul Company of Richmond, 6101 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23235. I called that morning to confirm pickup time and was told the time to pick up the truck was noon. I arrived shortly after noon and was told they did not have a truck. Not only did they not have a 14 truck they did not have any trucks. The salesman provided me a phone number and said that was all he could do for me, he was unwilling to locate a truck at another location. I left, called the number and was able to find a 10 truck at another store in Richmond. The ordeal took 2.5 hours out of my day that I would have preferred to use packing.I am very displeased with the level of customer service at that store and will consider other rental companies in the future.

This Uhaul location is excellent. I had a dreadful experience over two days of disorganization, misinformation and lack of satisfaction at the West Broad location. I came at length to the Chippenham location instead and the problem was solved in 5 minutes. The manager Kurt was kindly, understanding and expert. Thank you!

I have been using this locatio for over a year now. I generally rent a truck 2-3 times a month. They are always friendly and professional. The Trucks are always clean and maintained.

This UHaul staff did a great job taking care of my needs. My only complaint would be they dont have a very comfortable waiting area. Several people were waiting for services to be completed, however they only have two very uncomfortable chairs. I was there two hours without a decent place to sit.

Friendly staff with a large selection of uhaul vehicles. Staff could do a better job explaining fees but other than that I have no complaints.

Terrible experience! From start to finish, I originally reserved my truck at a different location and instead of getting a courtesy phone call all i got was a text message. I get there the and the rep was very nice. Tells me the truck is suppose to be at 1/4 of a tank but it wasnt so I would get a $7 credit and to make sure I bring it back with a 1/4 of a tank. The truck was on Empty!We loaded our Truck the night before, when we go to take off the truck doesnt turn on! Called the location no answer. Finally get it to start, as we start driving it was extremely difficult to keep the truck on the road because it kept pulling to the right! Finally make it to our destination to find out all our items in the cab were soaked.After calling the location 5 times, finally someone answered. I explained to this gentleman my situation and I need another Truck his response was it doesnt rain everyday so we cant find every leak each Truck has what kind of customer service is this!?! Tells me I could bring the truck back and he will give me a new one.. calls me back and tells me to call Roadside assistance and gives me the HR department # for uhaul.Took me 3 mores calls to get the correct # finally get someone at Roadside whom tells me the are bringing me a truck, calls me back and tells me they cant I need to make it to a uhaul location 40 minutes away. To wait another 3 hours to finally get a truck..I was told I would get refund still have yet to see the credit on my card or for there insurance to call me back about my damage items.I have always rented from Uhaul and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had and my last. I rather pay a little more and go to a different company where my safety and valuables are taken into consideration.

There’s a rude racist black lady that every time we come she never fills up the tank. Never coming here again . The only reason we come here is because it’s the only place near us .
