Amazing customer service and really reasonable especially in a small town. They aren’t out to “rip you off” like other local shops. Service was quick even still, they offered me their loaner car so my daughters and I didn’t have to wait in the lobby for an hour. Best part is their shop pup!! I finally found an auto shop to keep up with my car that I feel confident in.

I needed a job done that wasnt just cut and paste, but instead took first hand knowledge and skill to accomplish. Paul & Sons accepted the job when no one else would and accomplished it to satisfaction with no customer oversight needed. Will use again.

Our RV broken down from overheating in Death Valley last week. Fortunately, were able to made it to Paul & Son Automotive. Unfortunately, they were not able to look at it until 3 days later. We had to rent van to drive the family home to the bay area, about 6 hours. Diagnostic came back with a faulty fuel injection sensor. Part was ordered for Thursday, but was a wrong part, so they have to reordered the right one for Friday. Unfortunate, it was delayed until Monday. Because of this, we had to wait until Monday to pickup, which cost us an extra $150 for the extra days minivan rental. Finally Monday came, and I drove back to Ridgecrest at 3 am. RV was not fix until 3pm. After the paperwork, started driving home and about 3 miles out, RV broke down again. Had to tow it back to the shop, costs $125. Turn out someone forgot to clip the fuel line and therefore, fuel was leaking and cannot start after the broke down. I wished a technician could have come over to look at it to help me start the engine instead of having me tow the RV back. Anyhow, everything is good now. PRO: Know their stuff and resolved the problem. CON: Few mistakes that cost us extra money, like car rental days and towing that couldve have been avoided. Because of that, my rating is three stars, otherwise could have been easily 5 stars for customers service and mechanical skill.

The Master Technician was awesome. There were multiple problems with my engine control electrical system. He fixed each problem. He explained the issue and what was done to fix it. We had an alternator failure at the Coso Rest Stop while towing our 30 foot trailer to Palm Springs. The first place I called was Paul and Sons. I am so glad I did. Genesis was as helpful as could be and told me when I come in, they would jump right on it. When I arrived about an hour later, it wasnt 10 minutes later they had my truck in the shop. Although we werent sure how long it would take and seeing how it was Friday, she offered to let us stay on the lot until Monday if necessary. Well, it wasnt necessary. They had my truck up and running in less than two hours, without an appointment. This meant the world to me and I am so happy I was able to meet some of the folks who helped us out. If I didnt live 900 miles away, Id use them for all my automobile service needs. A very refreshing experience indeed....

Went in for my first SMOG Check on my 2013 Challenger RT. Went easy. They also installed my hood struts at no charge. Good company. Nice people. Have been using them for SMOG checks and other issues since 2009. Thanks.

Service was fantastic, we were in a hurry to get home to Washington and needed new tires and an oil change. They did it quickly with professionalism and the job was done very well. Shout on the the worker who staid through his lunch to finish it so we could get out of there. Checked numerous other thing in the car and suggested other repairs that were needed when we got home, not to mention printed out the service history on the car which was great considering we had bought the car just the day prior. Broke down and from the moment I called them and was towed to their company they completely helped me out with everything. I was traveling and was in the middle of no where when my truck broke down . I called them and asked if I could be towed to them and look at what happened to my truck . Once it was determined what was wrong they had to hold my truck for a month and they kept it in the garage due to tools and such in my truck . Very thankful

I was in town visiting my mom and ran into a problem with my car. Called around and only Paul & Sons were able to take a look at my car same day despite not having booked an appointment. They (lady with dark hair, in particular, don’t remember her name) were very helpful when my check engine light kept going on and off every couple days. Turns out they corrected a recent repair (solenoid replacements) I had done and my check engine light has stayed off. Plus they got in contact with the previous repair shop to help me resolve my issue with them. I took their advice and I was able to recoup the money I spent on parts. Impressed they went above and beyond for a first-time customer!

I called and scheduled a smog check with only two days advance notice. The staff was friendly and Covid conscious which I greatly appreciated. The job was done in a timely manner and I was on my way very quickly. Thanks Paul!

I recently had a bit of engine work performed on my Jeep CJ7. The work they did showed attention to detail. In addition, they were proactive about doing other work at a fair price. Throughout the time that they were working I was able to communicate by text, which is very important to me, and never once needed to speak on the phone. I plan to use this shop again.

I recently experienced a complete systemic failure of the audio system in my 2004 Ford. I was not happy with the existing system and decided to replace all the components including the head unit, amplifier and patch cables. I called Brian and consulted with him as he had performed quality and professional work on my truck previously. Brian was eager to take on this project. He listened carefully to my concerns and provided valuable insight. We decided on the components to purchase, Alpine Audio. The components all arrived within a few days and I brought the truck in late morning on a Monday. Brian met with me and we reviewed a few of my concerns regarding the installation and I left. I received a call from Brian around 11:OO am the next day. Brian advised the installation was completed and that thought I would be very pleased with the components and installation. I arrived a few hours later. The installation was outstanding. My biggest concern was the placement of the cables and wiring to and from the amplifier. Upon inspection that concern was completely alleviated. The installation was outstanding. The cables were routed, anchored and shielded for maximum concealment and protection. Brian took the time to take me through the basic operation and navigation of the head unit. The Alpine system is far superior to my legacy system in terms of overall quality, operation, capabilities and of course sound quality.In closing I highly recommend Paul and Sons Automotive. My experience as been outstanding. Brian is professional, focused, knowledgeable and payed close attention to my concerns. His work ethic and friendly personality are refreshing. I am definitely a return customer.

I am new to Ridgecrest and chose this place kinda out of the blue for repair on my old BMW that I just purchased on-line and knew very little about. They fixed my car efficiently, in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. I wont take my car to any other auto repair in town. Very impressed!

I had taken my older truck to another shop here in Ridgecrest and was quite disappointed.I was impressed from the first call. I find myself on edge when it comes to paying to get my car worked on. They put my worries to rest with their total professionalism. They listened to what I was concerned about and in a timely manner called me to advise me of what their professional team of technicians had found with my concerns.When I got my truck back all my concerns have been fixed. The work was in my eyes done great and it was even a bit lower price when picked up. I made a mistake taking it to another shop prior, never again.Dont make the same mistake I did, pick up the phone or stop in and to borrow a line, youre in great hands!

Ten years ago, November 27th, 2007 we had total brake failure on our Teton 5th wheel while descending from Lake Isabella. We found Paul & Sons in Ridgecrest and had an amazing, wonderful experience there getting our rig repaired. They did a detailed examination, taking pictures and contacted Teton Homes in Casper, Wy to find the exact proper way to make this repair. This repair took more than one day as parts had to be shipped to Paul & Sons. They let us plug into their electricity and stay in our unit. They shortly performed and extensive repair to our brakes and suspension (that caused the problem) and we have had smooth sailing ever since then. I’m new to the area and recently purchased a used car. Upon registering the vehicle with DMV, I was told that I needed a smog check. I went to one location and was told that they were back logged for 2 weeks. I then found Paul & Sons and was taken care of immediately, without an appointment. I was in and out of the location in a reasonable amount of time.

Genesis is the all-gracious Queen behind the desk of the kingdom, and she indeed makes forking out cash for needed repairs counter-intuitively pleasurable. Brian, working the back end of the operation, took my rat infested truck -- which was nearly wholly devoured by an entire rodent family who mistook my truck as their new home while I was on vacation -- and literally cleaned it up, installing new lines, hoses, wires, deep-diving into pressure cleaning the entire engine area, to the point where the truck now looks and runs ten years younger than when it hobbled haggardly in. Very happy with the service I received. One of my tires blew out and the other one wasn’t far behind, so I ordered a pair of replacement tires and went to Paul and Sons to get them replaced. The lady up front was very helpful and accommodating in getting everything squared away. Now I am back up and running and my car is driveable again after going a week running on a spare tire. Thanks Paul and Sons I will definitely come back with any additional repairs needed in the future!

I was treated fairly and respectfully by everyone there.. My cars problems were explained to me in plain talk and final.price came in under estimate. Work was done quickly and they did a damn good job. This is the place to go in Ridgecrest if your car is giving you trouble.

When we unexpectedly got stranded in the desert and were towed to Paul and Sons we were pleased with the positive service, willingness to fit us in, air conditioned waiting area, clean bathrooms, and cool water. The location also made it easy to find somewhere eat while we waited. The mechanics were professional and thorough. I just got my breaks done so I guess great work, but I got charged more than the dealership for a diagnostics and the price for the diagnostic did not count towards my brakes. Needless to say I paid more here than the dealership. If you dont know something find out, its sad that we cant trust people to be upfront Im not a mechanic.

Went to get my car smogged. Nice and clean lobby. Jennifer (the front desk) was friendly. They apparently do a 12 point inspection as well which was really helpful. Only one con.... Took a little longer than expected. Was there for over an hour. Other than that great place.

My GMC Sonoma truck was hard to start some time and other Automobile repair shop was unable to locate bad part.Paul & Son did good job to locate bad part “Bad fuel pressure regulator “and explained in written what wrong and reasonable repair bills. And texted me what wrong with truck and need OK from me to replace bad part and after Paul & Son my truck start as normal.

Picked up my truck, fixed it and a few more problems. It is an old truck. It likely will pass smog even in LA. I didnt like the price but ... yea maintaining an old truck at some point is expensive. Paul and Sons told me the costs so I wasnt too shocked.

After taking a wrong turn February 18th, my Subaru engine overheated in Pearsonville, CA and it was towed to Paul & Son’s as they were referred by Toyota as very knowledgeable about foreign autos. I had an extended warranty and after talking with them and meeting all three of the generations, coupled with their experience with warranty companies, I left the car for repair. The shop’s condition was impressive as well.Brian (3rd generation) is very knowledgeable regarding warranty companies and if you have a warranty you want this shop dealing with them. We had bit of give and take with the company, and most warranty companies will try to reduce their exposure while Paul & Son’s philosophy is, “they will fix it right, or they won’t do it”, and they live by that rule.After repairs, Paul & Son’s documented that a small amount of hydrocarbons remained in the cooling system but the warranty company felt it was sufficient. This documention proved prophetic, because 77 miles later the head gaskets blew out necessitating an engine rebuild. I had it towed back to Paul & Son’s; as to start over again with another mechanic is very problematic as they will question the first shop’s work, and beginning all over with the warranty company could be very risky.They were so capable my warranty company paid more than the policy’s limits for the repair. I then drove it over 2,200 miles to East TN and it is like a new engine. Do not be penny wise and pound-foolish when it comes to auto repairs. Have it fixed right or not at all. My hat is off to these folks and their expertise.

Had an exhaust leak on my 2007 F350 with the 6.0 diesel. These guys fixed me up and got me back on the road in the middle of our vacation! Great people doing a great job!
