E-Z Parking great produce wonderful meat selection

Bought some chicken tenders, rice and potatoes from this store today and I found a worm/parasite. Disgusting. Will NEVER buy from this disgusting store again.Update: just got off the phone with the store and they implied that the maggot was from my house because “their rice is steamed and the potatoes and chicken is fried”. Please do not buy from this store. Check your food first before eating it. They only offered a refund after I could have ingested maggots/worms/parasites because of their food. Chicken looked reheated not fried. Potatoes were stiff. And rice looked and tasted weird but never in a million years did I think I would find a freaking maggot.

Cheaper prices than Cardenas but you will find what you need. Good sweet bread.

Always busy. Lines can be long but willing to wait for the deli rice and beans! Great deals on fruits and vegetables!

For grocery shopping my store of preference has been El Super for many since I lived in Whittier,Ca.,but I notice to get meat over the counter is a long wait and the lines to pay are very busy so now I dont buy as much meat over the counter I just buy whatever I find thats already packed,or I find other alternatives if Im buying something where I need to get home fast.I go to other stores not as busy. Or make a Stop when I have more time, but over all the deals at El Super are a bargain,and recommend it to family.

Meat dept. Long wait and dirty. I only get the shrimp. Bakery, day old bread,I asked for some fresh mexican sweet bread I saw some in the back,and they said only whats up front. There was hardly any bread to choose from. So I left. Its not like it use to be.🙁

Their service in the butchers shop is very bad, it took more than 30 minutes, more than 20 numbers were waiting and they only had 3 people on duty.

Amazing store! Such a wonderful selection of fresh produce and dried chilies and spices. Found items/ingredients I havent been able to find at stores. Cant wait to go back!

Disappointed, I went to buy pork ribs, and needed them cut smaller and butcher did not want to accommodate.

No social distance here, would not recommend especially during this time of pandemic. I even saw people wjo werent wearing masks. Workers are in a very bad mood, especially the cashiers. They dont provide customers with hand sanitizer or cleaning wipes. Stay away and visit a different grocery store.

The meat department takes so long to help you. I was waiting for a good 30-40 minutes.

Great place to shop for fresh produce, deli and meat department. However, no one seems to care about social distancing.

The stores got a good selection but the only issue i have is that they always assume that you speak spanish and the workers will always speak to you in Spanish first and most of them will act like they dont understand you when you answer in english and that can get pretty annoying because they always do it to me whenever I walk in there. Im not sure if they just dont like helping you or they dont speak english very well, but either way I think that they should be able to speak enlgish if they are going to be working in a place where the city is dominantly english speaking. There is also a couple workers that are constantly rude and not helpful in any way. Like I said though they have a great selection but the customer service is not there, at least not in my experiance.

No crowds. Fast to pay. Everything is good...fresh products.

Good prices. Watch the scales at checkout. Not zero at the start. Mine was an extra 0.63 lb for everything

All products are good however their meat dep isnt the best. Especially for the price its sold.

This place is always packed this is not a place you come in to get something really quick in and out fast. The lines take forever and dont even mention the meat department youll be there for easily 30 minutes if not more just waiting for your turn.

Great grocery store! Their bakery and prepared food areas are awesome.

Other then its like the 91 on a Friday night. The employee at the check out are fast and sweet. Keep up the good work ladies.

Terrible customer service in the meat department. A lady who works there over paid our chicken, double the price and when we returned to tell her what she had done. The people in the carniceria and the lady looked bothered because we asked her to lower the price. She had done it in a bad mood. The women employees in the meat department are terrible in attending customers, theyre always talking in the back (ALL OF THEM). I only saw one guy actually working.

Fresh vegetables and fruits. Much better quality and prices for them than other stores. Friendly and helpful staff.The only thing is that you have to wait for a long time to check out

They need more cashiers, sometimes the line is too long for only two cashiers.

The employees that work the meat department are so so very very rude and very unprofessional I stood in line waiting my turn and I asked for three slabs of ribs the lady gave me to I insisted to open the bag and check she still insisted it was too I told her I asked for 3 she said I had to get back in line for the third one I needed to speak to manager

Busy but good. Apparently everyone thinks so because there was about a thousand of us in there shopping. Nice store and food and people.

The produce is always fresh from here, their meat, chicken, pork always great flavors but you never know how long itll take at the deli 30min - 1 hr maybe more, if you get food from the place to eat hope they got what you want and it hasnt been sitting all day.

I bought seasoned chicken and meat from here and it was rotten, it smelled so bad, like it was expiredThe cake I bought from them was too dry and their customer service was poor. Will never come back to this market. Your Salvadorian chorizo does not taste good either..

Love their shrimp ceviche better than Cardenas shrimp ceviche. Also had some aquas frescas the cucumber is refreshing and the Jamaica is flavorful also my daughter had horchata she said it tasted milky.

It wqs dirty n the parking lot and i was over looked i guess because of my origin. Guess they serve their own kind because i was really ignored. No worries...wont go again!😠👎

The meat department lacks good customer service. The manager needs to hire more people. There was only one person in that department for like 20 people waiting. We are still here. Have been waiting for 30 min and everybody here is mad. The store manager should be fired. Obviously they are not doing their job. Some people got frustrated and left. They said they would go to another market instead. There were two ladies just talking and scratching their butts. I wont come hereagain. .

First time there, and I felt like a kid in a candy store! I loved it, the vegetables,fruits, meats, was super duper great! Prices was unbeatable, I wont go anywhere else anymore.

They dont give out masks like every other store durrimg the pandemic.

I have no choice but give it 1. If there where no stars that would better describe their poor meat department service. An hour waiting. No matter what time I go. The proces and meat are good. Was told to complain to management but nothing is done to improve. Overheard someone say store manager would rather have meat stocked than serve people quickly. Wow. Not sure but would rather pay more for better service than continue to spend 1 hour for 3 packages of meat. Their packaged meat looks old and repackaged.

My family and I receive food stamps, so they pay for the re-usable plastic bags when we use them. We mentioned to the cashier that we needed more bags for what we purchased, the cashier didnt listen and ended the transaction, then charged us for an extra bag. That was very poor customer service, some people like my family are on a budget and this cashier didnt even think or care about that. I really hope customer service like this improves because if not then people like us, are going to have to try to avoid shopping here.

They have great deals almost all the time and have great customer service but i think theyre constantly short of staff.It gets packed in the mornings and has long lines at the carniceria (Meat section in the back). I go every week and have to wait 20 -30 min just to get my number called, its ridiculous when its constantly happening. I think they need to hire more staff

This is where I get my chips for chilaquiles.

They have good prices, but the lines are super long. They usually only have 2 or 3 registers open. Plus is you want to buy meat you usually have to wait like 20 #s ahead of you .

The store is a great place to buy fresh produce but you need to get there early in the mornings to avoid the long wait at the meat produce other than that great.

Supermarket has great produce. However, customers will be waiting for a long time to buy some meat products because the customer must pull out the ticket. And the employee calls out the ticket number. Many customers will have to wait as long as 25 minutes to have their number called out

Nice place to shop at prices are reasonable, but dont recommend to buy any fish product, it usually smells bad and sometimes looks gooey.

I looked at 3 different stores to find verdolagas. Only El Super had them.

The meat department needs to work on their customer service skills they kept me waiting for nearly almost 40 minutes and they dont have one person attending all the clients which is kind of sad while the rest were just cleaning cleaning cleaning and not even bothering helping her out

This was my first time in the store . They have very good prices on there fruits and vegetables. I find the other stuff in the store much higher in price. But overall it was good.

Some times the store is very full and the register lines are full. But a great place to go and buy food and snacks.

In the cake area the service was great and fast and very helpful but when we got to the meat area cashier was a night mare the cashier lack of experience and fast service i had to wait for over 30 minutes on the line

This is one of the more affordable supermarkets. I wish I had splurged for a piece of tres leche cake.

It was HORRIBLE! there were 3 registers open and the lines were so far back people were abandoning their cars everywhere. Cashiers are slow and they all have a bad attitude. A smile doesnt hurt anyone (even a fake one)

I found a handicap parking right away I found what I need it from the Bakery department Produce and meat department Found my laundry needs And Gothelp at the check out with 6 cases of water. Every thing was great 😉

Good place to get deals on meats and produce. But the meat dept is always swamped. If you plan on getting some meat, prepare to wait a while. Avoid Sundays if possible!!!

I like the store a lot. Its pretty loud and bright in there and I kind of like that lol. They have fresh produce all the time which is one of the main reasons I go along with the fresh cut Meats, chicken, fish, shrimp Etc. I love love love coming here because you really save a lot of money. Heres a funky smell when you walk in but all in all this is a good place to shop for fresh stuff. Not to mention they have a baking section with really yummy food and they make cake for special occasions or just in general they have a variety of freshly made cakes. You can also pick up Mexican food which they make fresh for lunch or dinner. They also make ceviche which is so yummy and they have court! Types. Yummy

Meat counter only had one person helping customerYou could see the other putting out product and new the girl needed help but ignored the customers. I left after standing fo at least 15min!Last week We incounter a very rude checker.I made the mistake of entering the line and putting my merchandise on the 10 line items and she yell 10 itmes only I apologize and told her I didnt see the sign the Engel it faced the line I entered she still had the ugley look on her face.dhe was an older lady.

This place is great. Has good produce and excellent meats, chicken fish etc. Prices are good and service is ok. If you dont speak Spanish it might be hard communicating with the meats/ produce & cashier... so brush up on you Espanol 🙄
