Let me start by saying that my grandmother and mother had been bringing their vehicle to them over the years, so I assumed they would take care of my vehicle, this was a BIG MISTAKE. I originally brought my vehicle into them to have my rear shocks done on my Saturn vue. A vehicle that I use as a work van in which I put all of my tools into on a daily basis, being an HVAC tech. My vehicle was sitting low in the rear and would make noises as I went over any bumps or potholes. During this period of time my abs brake lights would flash on my dashboard as well so I figured I could get this diagnosed as well. The shocks set me back five hundred, which I thought was a bit pricey but it was already at their shop and I needed it for work, so I paid. When I picked up the vehicle a man named Clint stated that he took care of the abs light issue and that I shouldnt see the light on the dash anymore. As I sat in my car I saw a crudely placed piece of electrical tape over the light that was still on my dash and a fuse sitting in the cupholder of my car. Apparently this was his idea of fixing the problem (yes I know that this should have been a red flag for anyone). At this point I had been without my vehicle for a couple days now and didnt have time at that moment to leave it their again to have him actually fix the problem. A day after picking my vehicle up I began hearing a terrible metal on metal noise coming from my front end. Naturally I brought my vehicle back to them to diagnose and fix the problem, because they were now familiar with my vehicle and its issues, or so I thought. They called me a few hours later to tell me that my CV shafts and hub assemblies were real bad and my right front tire was about to fall off the axle. I dont know much about cars but me being an honest man, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and told them to go ahead with the repairs. This cost me an additional twelve hundred to supposedly fix these new problems. Within a few hours of driving, I noticed that the noise was now worse than before and my alignment was way off. I then had to take my vehicle back to them for which they said that one of the shocks they supposedly fixed during the front end issue had blew into pieces. Now mind you I had been without a car for days and now it was going to be even longer. They fixed the problem, or so they say and I came back to pick up my vehicle. Two days after that, I start to hear another metal on metal noise in my front end. At this point I am fed up with these SCAMMERS and tell them that they need to fix this issue immediately and Im not giving them another dime. Now mind you through all of this process I am without a vehicle for a culmination of around two weeks. They call me a few hours later after I dropped it off to tell me that I need new rotors in my front end and it will cost me another five hundred dollars. At this point Im ready to bring my lawyer down their and sue them because this is obviously a SCAM. Instead I have my car towed to a shop that fixes all of my companies work vehicles for an honest opinion (which is what I should have done after the first issue, hindsight is 2020). The owner calls me once he looked over the vehicle completely only to tell me that there were already a brand new set of rotors on my front end and that all I needed were new brake pads because they were metal on metal, which would explain the noise I was hearing. He went on to tell me that my struts were fine and I had another year or two before they needed to be replaced. Looking through the invoices from Brothers Collision i could not find any metion of new rotors on my front end. This told me that they must have done them during one of the issues I was having but never put it on the invoice for fear of looking bad or at fault, but instead decided to try to charge me again for another set at the end of this ordeal. By the end of everything I was out over two thousand dollars and my vehicle still was not fixed. Bottom line, DONT EVER BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS

I was referred to Brothers Collision by Tim McAvoy from Mazda. Bill, one of the owners, was amazing to work with. After an unfortunate accident, I had about $4000 in damages. He kept me updated throughout the time my car was in the shop. It was during Christmas time and still made a point to update me on Christmas Eve! My car looked amazing & brand new when I picked it up. They even made arrangements to take care of my rental car. Thank you so much!

My 2013 Impala had a good size dent in the rear bumper. I didnt want to put in an insurance claim but I did want to get it fixed. I stopped by Brothers Collision and they said, since it was minor they could do a repair job that would remove the dent without breaking the bank. I was able to get it fixed for well under my Deductible and didnt have to put in an insurance claim. They washed the entire car and it looked great when I picked it up.

As always they go over and above. They are always professional and responsibly priced.

I was referred to Brothers Collision by a friend and not to be cliche, but I couldn’t be happier with the entire process. I went to a few other very reputable shops in the Greece / Gates area to get other estimates and got a ton of push back on getting a reasonable date to bring my car in because the insured who was responsible for the damage on my vehicle didn’t want to go through her insurance. I was getting timelines of 2-3 months for an appointment if it was gonna be a cash job. I went to Brothers and spoke with Bill, who not only gave me an estimate well under the other 3 prior, but got my truck in within a week. They were right on time with there repair time and even completely detailed my truck - inside and out!! If you want high quality work for a reasonable price, go see the brothers at Brothers Collision.

I’m young and I do not have much knowledge or experience with car maintenance. I went in and dropped my car off for a quote on replacing my brake pads, rotors, and possibly my calibers, since I’m not familiar with the cost for this repair.It seems that one of the owners, Dan, is not looking for new business. He was very unwelcoming and surprisingly rude. About an hour after I dropped the car off, I called in to see if they had been able to take a look to see what it would cost. When I mentioned that I was in need of a quick repair, and I had just heard back on another quote from a family friend, he said “I will park your car upfront and you can remove it from our premises” then hung up the phone.When I got back to the shop and they lowered my car from the lift, I stepped in the office to ask if they saw enough to have an idea for a price. He replied “I’m just going to give you your keys so you can go.” I’ve never been treated so rudely while shopping around for someone’s service, but I can guarantee that I will never step foot here again, and will recommend against anyone coming here. That is unfortunate because the last man that confronted me with my key was very respectful, and he explained what my brake situation looked like. If he worked alone, I would go back to him for service.

My car wouldnt start over the weekend. I called on Monday and was immediately assured that if I could get my car towed over, I could have it fixed in a few days. As a Saab owner not everyone will work on it so this was already promising. I was able to get the car looked at the day it was dropped off, and diagnosed the day after. The price for the service was fair, the response time was lightning fast, and my car is working better than ever. Great name for the company. They are all like family because my family has been going there forever. The work Brothers does is incredible. They even touched up some spots that I did not tell them to. The color match that they use is a perfect match for the factory color from the car. Its impossible to tell I even dented my door and wrecked my molding. My car always comes back vacuumed and washed. I simply would not take my car anywhere else.

Brothers got us out of a jam when our Toyota Siennas radiator cracked - 380 miles from home. They were a pleasure to deal with, and had a new radiator installed to get us back on the road within hours of our intended departure. Ive known Clint & the Brothers (Dan & Bill) for 12 years now, I bought my 2005 Silverado new and have had Brothers do all the out of warranty work on it, (Brakes, alternator, water pump, etc.) including two different collision repairs. I have also used their detailing service on two different vehicles.Each of the services i have used have gone without a hitch and have had me coming back year after year.This service center runs like a well oiled machine, they are very well organized and their facility is immaculate!

Not only were they fast and efficient, Tim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my Chrysler. He helped me understand what is expected of a New York state inspection, and explained everything he and his technician recommended for the car in future months. Not only did he make sure that my car was safe for me, he also took the time out to ensure that it was safe for my children. Brothers Collision repaired damage my car received after getting rear-ended. When I saw my car after the repairs, I thought I had a new car! They painted rust spots and fixed other dings my car had unrelated to the rear-end damage. It looked like it was washed and waxed, and the interior smelled so fresh. I went into Brothers on a whim because I needed photos taken for my insurance. I ended up also having an oil change and nys inspection. Every single person I interacted with during my visit (I waited for my car to be done) was polite, and friendly. I instantly felt comfortable. For a very long time my family had brought all of their vehicles to Haags Service Station which has since closed. Brothers is the first garage I have been to since then that I felt comfortable in, confident that I wasnt being taken advantage of, and that the work was being done by more than competent workers. Definitely will be returning for all of my future service!

Knowledgeable staff, average prices, excellent service.Clinton was incredibly friendly over the phone and explained the costs before going ahead with the work. He got my car in tip-top shape and inspected properly, even fixed a pesky evap leak and pointed out something to keep my eye on. The check engine light came on the next day, so I came back and was assured if it wasnt fixed properly, they would handle it. Everyone in the office was friendly, and I got a chocolate car as a parting gift. Its within walking distance of my apartment and they are so wonderful. If I have to take my car in again, Ill definitely be coming here.

I am very pleased with my experience I had at brothers collision and mechanical. Tim was very helpful and got me in for an overdue inspection on my jeep. Since I am from out of town and needed to drive 4 hrs it was important to get my inspection done within the weekend. Tim was able to squeeze me in and got it done for me. During my wait I was pleasently surprised to have been confronted by other staff members who offered me coffee or water while I waited and took the time to talk to me like they knew me. Not only are the employees friendly, the office is neat and well kept. This by far was the best and most comfortable atmosphere I had ever experience at a collision/repair shop. I think Google Review tricked me to go to this place (when I checked, I saw more five star ratings) for car inspection before I buy one. As one of the reviewer said below, Bills customer relation skills was very poor. I paid $95 for casual inspection and their mechanic didnt even detected a huge rust patch at the bottom of the engine oil pan (I wish I have means to hoist the vehicle on my own, then I couldve easily seen that huge rusted area) as well as all the rusted brake lines. They said the car is fine, so I bought it. Now I have to shell out ~$1400 to fix the brake and the engine oil pan. Will never go there again.

Just left Brothers collision I needed to get pictures taken of my car they made me wait 30 minutes they were doing absolutely nothing besides drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes for those 30 minutes and then I go in to have my car looked at and then they say I cant I got to make an appointment just to get pictures took of my car. so now Im going to a gas station where they said they can do it just off of walking in cuz it only takes 2 minutes thanks Brothers collision for showing me how lazy you guys are gfy.,Also to add I did have an appointment I was there at 9:50am. I thought it was at 10 they told me they dont do appointments on the hour only on 9:30 or 10:30 of that nature so they told me to wait 30 minutes when they could have just checked right then and there when I first came and told me I already missed my appointment... but they didnt after I gave my name and he was sitting down at the computer just told me to wait till 10:30.. l just think good businesses take initiative if there is nothing else to do besides smoke cigarettes and drink coffee might as well take care of a customer if its just pictures. and if a customer already had an appointment that they missed by 20 minutes and theres is nothing being done it looks slack to a customer that went to a gas station on a walk in and got good quick service under five minutes. it sucks this experience but initiative goes a long way in business.

Brothers Collision is a top-notch family operated automotive service business. They got all the details right on my recent visit. Brothers provided me with excellent help, before, during and after my repair was done. When you enter their shop, you cant help but notice the pride they take in everything they do.

Brothers Collision is the go to place for any work or repairs on my sons car while hes away at college.Tim correctly diagnosed the check engine light to an air pump malfunction. He also informed me of a headlight out and replaced it. I inquired about the tires and to have him check them for road worthiness. They defiantly needed changed. Tim had three potential choices of tires in stock for me to choose from. We also added an oil change and the NY inspection was completed.All of this was done, on time with the original air pump install timeline of lunchtime the next day. Since Im 900+ miles away I trust them with keeping an eye open for potential issues that may arise. They are just as concerned of my sons safety as I am.Its nice to know that I can trust their work even though Im not physically in the state of NY.

I have had Bill and Dan Brothers do my collision and repair work since the early 1980s. So has every member of my family. Not only is the work the best work I have ever seen, the car is always returned to me having been washed, the interior cleaned, and they have always taken the time to explain all the details of their work on my car and the communications they have had with my insurance company.I would not have anyone else work on my cars. I can write this as a very good customer. Just ask Bill.If you are ever in the circumstance that you have to have collision, paint, or mechanical work done on your car, stop by and see the Brothers brothers (I just had to finish the review that way)Bill also made the arrangements with Enterprise so that my rental would be there when I arrived to drop my car off. Perfect.

To sum up my experiences with Brothers Collision & Mechanical, some of their work is horrendously overpriced and the managements customer service is detestable. I realize this review is long but, if you have the time, I recommend giving it a quick read before taking your business to Brothers.We started going to Brothers Collision almost a year and half ago when our E-brake quit working. They had it back to us the same day and charged us $67. However, a few days later it stopped working again. We took it back in and this time paid $434. This fix lasted less than two weeks when it gave out once again. We took it back in and were charged $620. This time it managed to last a couple of months before giving out yet again. We brought it back for the fourth time and were told it would cost $264 - they needed to replace the rear brake pads. Now, while Im no mechanic, I thought $264 seemed outrageous to replace a couple of brake pads. We called another shop and they quoted us at $100, so we decided to take our car there. At this point beginning to think weve been given the runaround to milk some more cash from us.When we went to pick up the car from Brothers, they stuck us with a $53 Diagnostic Fee. Naturally, I was upset to find that after their numerous failed attempts to fix our E-brake and our spending over $1100 on these failed attempts, that they were trying to slap us with a fee. I asked to speak with the manager, and, upon hearing him in the next room, was immediately met with hostility. I have never seen a business owner be as combative and confrontational towards a loyal customer. At one point during his contentious rant, he exclaimed, YOURE REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!. Then he asked in his sarcastic tone Was it not fixed when you left?!, and when I started to explain he interrupted me stating Yes or No?!. Please note that these are only a few lines from our approximately 3-5 minute discussion.Now I know this is only one side of the story and you dont know how I acted or what I said, but let me assure you that he was extremely aggressive and quarrelsome from the very beginning, and that I did nothing to warrant this behavior. Even if I had been rude and insulting, a business owner should be able to control his temper and talk peacefully with even the most disgruntled of customers.

This place is awful; if I could give less than one star I would. The “brothers” that work here are sexist and would not talk to me, only my husband. On top of that, their work is shoty-they use parts around their shop and make them work in vehicles versus ordering or using the best part for the vehicle- I have sent 2 cars there in the past for muffler replacements and both times was told by another place after the fact that the muffler installed were not the correct size for the respective vehical. Don’t waste your time or money.

Recently had the need for two collision repairs. The work was done well, on time and to my complete satisfaction. Dealt primarily with Bill, an owner, who handled the estimate and completed the paperwork going back to the insurance company. The shop is clean and presentable. My interior was a mess going in and cleaned up coming out. Thank you.! Ill use them again for sure.

Every time I called there they seemed like they didnt want business. When I drove there, they told me to go somewhere else, didnt even want to look at my car.

I have decided to wait a few days before I actually wrote a review. I’ve only had one experience with this business before and it will be my only experience. On June 4th I called brothers collision to schedule an appointment for pictures to be taken of both of our cars (we just switched insurance companies). I made the appointments back to back since we had two cars. I was told it would take 10 minutes per vehicle and they just can’t do both at the same time... no big deal. Our appointment was made for June 5th at 9:30am. When we arrived everything went smoothly, he started with my car & it was finished by 9:40am. Since our appointments were one after another we expected to be helped with our second vehicle right away, we were not. Instead, the gentleman behind the counter told us that each appointment was for an hour and we were going to have to wait 50 minutes before he can finish assisting us. Confused, we thought we made them one after another- he said our appointments were at 9:30 and then at 10:30 and we would have to wait for our scheduled time. He was going to do nothing for 50 minutes because “it doesn’t work like that”. He went as far as to tell us that he makes only $4 for doing the inspection (they take 2 pictures and do some paperwork, took 10 minutes). Since he wouldn’t even make eye contact with us, kept telling us to wait an hour and was very “matter-of-fact”, we called another mechanic down the road and we’re home before our “10:30 appointment” would have even started.Safe to say this company does not want to gain any more customers. He made us feel as if we did something wrong when we did exactly what we were told to do when I made the appointment. I was disgusted when we left. How can a local small business treat someone that way? He was rude, unprofessional and very very disrespectful. Clearly he was upset with how much money he makes to do this 10 minutes process so I suggest that maybe they should no longer be on the list that the insurance company sends out! Very disappointed in this establishment and their lack of customer service. ‼️STAY AWAY‼️
