This is without question the best gunsmith in the area, excellent customer service and a great dude. Didnt utilize the bike shop part but I would bet that work is just as good. Support your local gunsmith folks.

I purchased a new shotgun from a local big box sporting goods store, about a month ago. Decided I was going to put fiber optics on it. Took it in to the place of purchase and I was told they couldnt do it. Take it to a local gunsmith. Well Ive heard mixed reviews on another sporting goods store in Rochester, that has a gunsmith and really didnt know if I should take it there or not. America Gunsmith showed up on my Google search for local Gunsmiths. Drove over and pulled in, the sign on the shop said closed. But cars were around so I knocked on the door and explained my situation. The owner helped me out in a pinch being I wanted to sight my new shotgun in today with it being nice out and before the range becomes crowded. I will Highly recommend American gunsmith to anyone I know who is having an issues with any Firearm or is looking to purchase a Firearm from a local shop.

Excellent customer service and very fair prices. Gary stayed open an extra 30 minutes on a Saturday so that I could pick up a new gun I had transferred to his shop. Granted, you can’t expect him or anyone else to do this for everyone, every time, however, this example is illustrative of the service you can expect at American Gunsmith.

Wont be returning after the services have been unreliable and professionalism has been lacking.

Use to suggest people use this guy, would not recommend Gary to anyone anymore. Heartland Gun Club is the same price for transfers and you can actually get a hold of them. Also got screwed over on my suppressor transfer from him.
