First time here. Had an oil change and tire rotation. Left the dealership and got 2 blocks and heard a rumble. Though oh it’s the road then I turned and heard a grumble and a wobble. Pulled over instantly, walked to where I had heard the sound and noticed lug nuts were not even. I finger tightened all the lug nuts, drove a block did it again drove another block did it again. Got back to the dealership and told him what was happening. They had somebody come out tighten up my Lugnuts checked all the other ones.The service rep then took me outside to look at it and take some pictures. He’s like oh luckily it’s just a hubcap will replace it for you. Then proceeded to say how it wasn’t that big of a deal. It could’ve been worse I could’ve gotten on the road and drove in further home but they’re happy to replace it for me. He continued to go on about how this is the second time in his 12 years of working here that he has seen this and it was an accident, no big deal. Glad my life is worth a hubcap.
While the service staff were very attentive and friendly, I feel like they tried to take advantage of me. I was told by them that my battery was pretty much dead, and would need to be replaced as soon as possible. After leaving the lot, I immediately went to another location where I watched them check it, and my battery was perfectly fine. Be careful and get a 2nd opinion on any suggestions!!

First experience with Rockford Kia was an absolute success! Salesman, Mike A., was attentive but in no way pushy or overbearing from the first day I stopped by just to look at my new baby. I dont think Ive met a nicer salesman, but the man I dealt with when I stopped by with a question a few days later was just as kind and helpful! Very impressed ; right down to the guy who was oh so happy to take my money. They have a great team!

I can’t say enough good things about Rock River Kia when I first decided to buy a Kia and I came here from the moment I walked through the doors it was professional. It was friendly. It was non-confrontational. It was not pushy. The gentleman Mike who sold me my vehicle was more than helpful. He did everything he possibly could to tell me everything about the vehicle took me on a test ride which obviously is normal but he didn’t try to push me out the door after he sold me the car. It was just an awesome experience and then when I went to get my first servicing done that too was a very excellent experience. They have a busy shop and got me in on an appointment and took care of my vehicle. They’re friendly professional and courteous. I cannot say enough good things about rock River Kia. I had an appointment to get my oil changed and a part for a recall, the parts department called me when the part arrived and set up me a day to get it fixed, I love that Kia is dedicated to their customers and I recommend them.
Bought my new car from them about a week and half ago. They were so friendly and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They got me set up in the car I wanted and didnt push me to try anything else. Took it recently on a road trip to Kentucky and back. It ran smoothly the whole way and even through the snow storm thru Kentucky and Indiana we got home safely!
I just posted a length review directly to Kia for my sales associate Usni Asanoski. Usni was great, he didn’t waste my time with annoying upwelling tactics, I told him my price range and he started showing my vehicles that were INSIDE the range I quoted him. Usni did not start showing me vehicles I couldn’t afford, hoping I would adjust my budget he was respectful of what I told him I could afford.The whole process took less then 4 hours and I was out of there in my new vehicle the same day, I had to take it back for detailing another day and was given a great loaner. Even more though, when I came back to pick up my new car Usni had the service team install remote start at no extra charge, and I didn’t even ask for it. Saving me hundreds of dollars on something I was going to do myself.Usni and the Kia Rock River block crew have a customer for life and a life long advocate of there services!

Rock River Kias service department has always been very helpful and quick! I just recently took my 2018 Soul in for service. Within 2 hours of finding the problems with the issues I had presented, they had started repairs and called me to mention they had found the problem. They are always quick and easy to deal with. Highly recommend them for any service needs!

I was considering buying a Kia Optima. The salesman here are high pressure sales. I put a $500 down payment on a vehicle and they said it was fully refundable. I decided to go with another dealer and they practically cursed me for not buying from them. They said they would give me my money back after multiple phone calls but I never got my money back. I will never do business with this dealership and I will make sure anyone wanting to purchase a vehicle that I talk to never goes here as well.
My experience was Bad! They have false advertisement! Cars in the ads aren’t in stock! Sales rep Carlos said, “Oh the sales ads are never updated”! Carlos did good in the beginning but the problem occurred when he had me put money down on a car I didn’t physically see or drive. My hold was good for 2weeks but 6 days later the car was sold! Hmm false information again he tried to sell me a brand new car, I already specified I wanted a truck! For future reference just be honest and up front with me. Today I went to get my money back, an older gentleman tried to help me. I forgot his name but he has been working there for 18years. I would have rather work with him from the start & he tried but being that I was misinformed he could tell I wasn’t interested in what he had to say, it wasn’t his mess to clean but I appreciate the effort! Meanwhile I wasted my time and I have no car and now I have to wait for my money to return to my card! Thanks for helping me get nowhere.

Our family is growing so we thought a van was in out future. The always likes the Kia Sedona. I found a gem in the Anderson Auto group. An LX with two tone leather and Android Auto stereo. The management, Todd, and Doug brought the van from another store. I felt a few things during a test drive and told them if it was taken care of Id buy it. When I came back they had new brakes, new tires, and had the scratches fixed without changing the deal. The van is super nice, very comfortable.Thanks to the sales man Usni, the management team of Todd and Doug. Great job, buying a used car should be a positive fun experience and it was for my wife and I.
I was faced with the circumstances of having to show up unannounced and ask to fit me, knowing Id have to wait. The staff was so friendly through it all and I dont feel like I was there that long really. My first visit (not my cars) and first impression was great!
Ask for Mitch, hell get you through the process from start to finish.This was the second time I purchased a car, this time a Ford. Mitch was my guy again and helped look for the car that fitted my budget and needs. Mitch remembered that Im not a guy that likes a sales pitch but prefers open and honest communication. Mitch is down to earth and gets you in a car that fits you or at least close as possible for what you want to pay. Solid performance once again.
It was a pleasant experience — given its a car dealership. Our guy, Harvey, was very nice and was adaptive to our money changes throughout the day. The only issue I had was that when we got there, every employee was looking at us, waiting for us to come in (the walls are windows) and it was disconcerting. Harvey was amazing and my mom loved the car we got her. I’ll be going back to get my new car when I have the chance.
Doug is great at what he does, purchased a gt1 stinger. Doug had the car transferred from indy without me having to put down any cash. Im glad that there are car dealers that still have faith in their customers and provide excellent customer service.
We test drove two cars here and from the moment I walked in I knew exactly what car and style I had in mind. The sales person immediately tried to persuade me to into a different vehicle. The dealership is pretty small and honestly very run down. While that had very little to do with my car buying decision we did feel considerably happier when we purchased a car from a nice mazda showroom out of town. The experience here was not the best. I was much happier at out of town dealerships.

When I pulled into the car lot, I was not real sure what I wanted. Mitch Edler told me about a 2016 Kia Optima that only had 4K miles on it. We took it for a test drive and I knew that was the car for me.The night I was there they were shorthand on sales guys and it was busy. I purchased a Kia Soul + in 2015, and was so impressed with the sales team and subsequently, the service department at Anderson Rock River Kia, that I knew I would return. When my daughters car reached the end of its useful life, I picked out the Soul I wanted online, called Sales Manager Bill Palmeri, and told him I would pop in on my lunch hour to drive it and do the paperwork.He had everything ready to go and put me in the capable hands of Mike Asanoski. Mike was standing outside in 90 degree heat waiting for me when I pulled in. What an amazing guy - I really enjoyed working with him. We got the test drive done and he had me ready for finance within about half an hour.Next was finance with Mike Schoenberg. I told him about the warranty upgrade I purchased on my last Soul and he had it ready on paper, along with other options. No surprises, everything went perfectly, and Mike S. was also terrific to work with. By the time we were done with the paperwork, my new Soul was back from detailing, and I did the final walk through with Mike A. and took delivery.Now, my daughter is in a 2 year old Soul and I know shes safe, and I have a new one...all over a lunch hour. You just dont see this level of service anymore. Great group up front in sales and a phenomenal service department, too. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Best car-buying experience Ive ever had! Doug and Mike were exceptional salesmen. Ive worked with Doug before at another dealership some years ago. I stopped at that dealership first since thats where I got my current lease and they gave me such a bad experience that it was borderline harassment. When I came to Rock River Kia, Doug found that they had lied to me about the car they were trying to sell me on top of being pushy. I spent a few hundred more in the long run but the service and respect I received made my choice to purchase an easy one. Thank you Doug and Mike!
Misleading crooks!Absolutely terrible experience! I bought a 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid EX brand new and put 152,xxx miles on it and the engine ceased while normal driving. Dealership originally quoted me at 14k, which was insanely misquote. After getting Kia Corporate involved the quote changed to 11k, saying they mistakenly double clicked the engine, but wanted the full amount upfront before they could order the parts. Highly suspect, again got Kia corporate involved and after some dealing got the quote to $7500! Nearly half the origional quote! Still feeling like something wasnt quite right, I got another quote from Gerald Kia in Aurora. In literally 10 minutes Gerald Kia told me the part that Rock River quoted me at was a discontinued part and the entire quote was invalid. I immediately had it towed from Rock River Kia.Please heed my warning, DO NOT let these guys scam you!
I first came to Rock River Kia a week after my car was totaled in a hit-and-run, thinking that within the next week or so I would able to buy a new vehicle. Chris Sperry sat down with me and went over my options; I had bad credit, and still owed over $6K on the totaled car (after the insurance pay out) that my entire tax return would have to go to. It turned out that it would take almost another 5 weeks for my old Lienholder and Insurance to work things out to where my old loan was paid off, freeing me to buy a new vehicle. Chris kept in touch with me over the whole process, sending me info about used cars coming in that would fit my budget; and never once did he lose patience with the process that I had no control over. When I was finally able to come in to buy a car, he was able to get me into something much better than I had expected with my Credit; and the process was quick and easy. I will happily recommend all my local friends to this dealership, and to Chris Sperry in particular.
Mitch Edler did everything possible to get me into the car I wanted. Even a year later he checks up to make sure my car is everything I expected it to be. The guys in the service department are pretty amazing too. I grew up driving Dodges and my Kia is just as good and reliable. Love my Kia!

“Real people pricing” is a term they use. In looking for cars, we liked the Kia line. In researching, we checked out Rock River Kia but also tried out a few other Kia dealerships that had cars listed online for a cheaper price than Rock River Kia. After driving around visiting those places, we soon realized that the cheaper prices were not accurate and that left us frustrated and with wasted time. Driving back into town, I called A’lisa at Rock River Kia to both voice my frustration and to let her know I planned to back away from our car search for a while because I felt like everything I was seeing at other places couldn’t be trusted. She listened to my concerns and asked us to come up there and let her see if she could help us. Our experience at Rock River Kia was clear, concise, fair, and the numbers didn’t change. What they said the price was is what is was. My wife and I were able to take a test drive and then had all the time we needed to chat together privately about the car we liked. She handled our deal with patience, answered all our questions, and assured us that she would be available even after the deal was completed. We felt right about making a purchase from A’lisa. So much so, that in the coming weeks we made two repeat purchases. Both she and Mike again made sure that they understood what our needs were before making recommendations. Three purchases within a month sounds insane, but it was good to have a place to go where the process was as smooth, clear, and without stress, pressure, and anxiety. We would and will buy there again and would recommend A’lisa and Mike to anyone.

The maintenance department will scam you in a heart beat. They will tell you that a diagnostic test will go toward your bill if a repair is needed however, they will claim they didnt say that once you go to pay the bill. They will also over charge the maintenance cost. I have a Kia Sorento that needed an oil pressure switch changed out due to it causing a serious oil leak. The part cost $15-$30 but $52 with their markup and 2 gaskets they charged me for at $100 but dont say they replaced on the invoice. The normal labor rate, according to them, is $129 per hour. The part should take 0.6 to 2.5 hours to replace. The maximum bill should be around $513.65 and as low as $248.33 with tax. My bill $796.00.Get your car from someone else. Unethical service department means bad business.
As always, great service! Had an appointment for oil change & they started on time. Found that it was almost time for tire rotation so they did that also. They even washed my windows!

I cant speak for all the salesman at Rock River, but the two that we dealt with were far and away the best car salesman weve ever dealt with. We never felt pressured, we were shown many options, I was even texting with our salesman about options for us after closing time. He did as much of the paperwork before we arrived to save us time and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Look, we all know how painful and arduous the car buying process can be. Not here. Ask for Ernest, he and Doug will take care of you.

Rock River Kia came through for me! I knew I wanted a 2019 Kia Forte, and the staff helped me get exactly what I wanted. Alisa Barron and Doug Sides helped me with the sales process; they were very clear and not too pushy. Even staff who werent directly involved in my purchase, such as Chris Wilkinson, made a point to be friendly, get to know us, and help out. They followed up with their promises, hooking me up with a rental while they performed the Luxcare treatment and helping me setup the Bluetooth system. But what I liked the most isnt that everything went perfectly (the Bluetooth was being goofy, turned out to be my phones fault), but rather that all the staff were humans--meaning they were personable, honest, and real. They followed up with all of the missing or mixed up things, and that is what matters.I also want to express my gratitude to the service department (I wish I had the specific names, though) who made an explicit point to follow up with an issue. Also, to the dealership itself. Let me explain: I found a bad scratch on my steering wheel the night I drove home. At first, I was frustrated and worried, especially since the purchase was done-with. I started overthinking, remembering that the car had been on the lot for a couple months and had just over 100 miles on it, hypothesizing, etc etc. I called that night and they, understandably, werent sure if corporate would consider it warranty-covered. I came in-person and the service department adamantly assured me it would be taken care of, because it is not right. When they appealed to corporate, they still were denied. What was amazing, though, was the dealership (not sure who specifically, though!) agreed to cover the steering wheel themselves. That was very validating and honest for the service department to push for that, and I am grateful for it.My only things to point out is that I was confused by discrepancies of prices on the website vs in-person (it seems they include a full military discount for the advertised price on the website). Also, I was a bit confused about the contract/paperwork for the tire coverage and Luxcare insurance I purchased with Finance. After contacting Finance, Greg says I can come by for a copy of the contract any time. And none of that is dishonest or unusual from dealerships, and again, they followed through with any issues I had from that.I always tend to have bad luck with cars: I loved my last car, but I have a knack for bad luck. Within a week of having my Forte, I found a nail in my new tire, I left my drivers license at the dealership. Almost walked out with the loaner keys. And instead of being frustrated with me, all the staff--even people not directly involved such as Chris--made a point to rectify anything they can and to help me with what I needed to rectify. (Also, the tire warranty paperwork hadnt been processed yet, because it was so soon; the dealership took care of it as a part of Roadside Assistance nonetheless, managing to patch it even when Discount Tire was unsure due to its proximity to the sidewall. Another testament to the service department.)Nothing but appreciation from me! I look forward to some better luck with my new car (or just some good support dealing with my inevitable bad luck!) Definitely buy your car here if youre interested in a Kia--cant beat the Kia warranty, roadside assistance, or price range! But the dealership itself deserves kudos for following through with all my craziness, all their promises, and even going beyond!

Sales manager tries to fool you into leasing by misleading the math. When you call him out on it he starts talking about how much he loves his note 8 from Samsung.The salesman Josh was ok but Id seriously look elsewhere or really know about what car you want to buy and not trust this dealership to give you a decent deal.Last result sort of shopping.

I went in today with a low budget. And Usni Mike was amazing. Im not there to spend a bunch of money, I had a small budget, I need a deal and he understood that. ( unexpectedly needing a different vehicle) We sat down and looked at all th cars in my budget pulling all the car facts as we go. Wouldnt let me look at anything with poor car facts. We made a list and he chauffeured me around to the different lots. All over Rockford. All the cars we picked ended up not good for me. But he really wanted me to look at a Mazda that was way over budget. Saying he could probably lower the price. I said Im sorry thats just way over what I can afford. I said well if you can drop it 1,500 to my budget I can buy it. He immediately called his manager. And my low ball offer was excepted! We finished the paper work in 45 min. I just pray its a reliable car! Used cars can always have unexpected things happen! But my experience with them was great and the service was great!

Joshua Beitel was the best sales man ever. I was shopping for a new car for my daughter. He explained the Kia Forte in great detail and what great features and safety it has. Do not work with Josh Beitel. Just gave him all info needed to make everything smooth since my drive there is almost 2 hours. I wanted to lease, how much I am putting as down payment and which car. He couldnt pull any numbers for me. He only looked at what I was wearing instead of helping me. I wanted an Optima, he told me I can only afford the Rio. I just wanted numbers but he didnt even try to Run numbers for me and all my options. There is just to much going on here that really didnt go as planned, I wasted a super long drive since Johnny wouldnt run numbers for me through the phone and told me to come in knowing my long commute only to get treated the way I did. I just pray and hope all Kias do not treat their costumers that way.
