Went to this location for iPad Pro service of a broken charger port. I explained very clearly what happened to the IPad to the technician. He told me he should have it figured out in a few days. Since I wasn’t in a rush I waited for him to call or email, like he said he would. Well he did not and after close to a month passed I called him asking about it. He claimed because he was so busy that he didn’t get a chance yet. So I gave him more time to look at it, he said two days, I gave him a week more. Again when I call about it he says he didn’t get a chance again and to call again the next day. I call him back the next day and he can’t clearly explain what’s going on says he can’t fix it and that I should come get it. When I come in obviously not happy, he then says the issue is how the CPU communicates with the charger circuit and that he could fix it but it will cost close to $400 and he will need to hang on to it longer. Well that was a nope in my book. He charges me $20 for the “diagnostic!” Then he says if I bring it somewhere else and they can’t fix it to bring it back to him and he’ll attempt it and won’t charge me for the diagnostic! I brought it to UbreakIfix in Port Jeff Station, and they fixed it in a week no diagnostic fee for $120. It was exactly what I said it was and they added that the previous repair person never even opened the device because it had the original glue and seal for the front glass on the device. He charged me literally to hold my device for a month and did nothing. This guy cannot be trusted and clearly over charges you for what he might or might not do. I should get my money back from this crook, but I never want to see them again! I may also report them to the BBB!
