I was taking my 2006 Honda Element to a local dealer for years. Then a friend recommended Precision Automotive Services so I gave them a try and quickly switched to them. I trust them and appreciate how detailed and professional they are. Their prices are much more reasonable then the dealerships, they provide me with photos so I can see the problem, and they are honest in their assessments. Found this shop after calling people I know and trust for advice on who to go to for repairs on a 2004 w4500 GMC boxtruck with transmission problems. I think the whole team at Precision has been great. I took them my 2006 PT Cruiser that had been sitting for a couple of years. They were willing to take it in and see what they could do. I was sent a print out that explained every thing. They decided it was the computer module. Scott, who was overseeing the work had to order. A module that is rarely available for my car. He stayed on it till he was able to find it. It was great too be able to get such personal care. Sorry about such a long review but i wanted to say thanks for all your time and energy.

Highest praise for Scott and Mathias who helped us save thousand of dollars with the expert diagnosis of a check engine light on our 2017 Ford Edge. They found the problem quickly and reported to us that we had a crack in one of our cylinders and that was causing radiator fluid leaking into the cylinder. This caused the miss firing of the spark plug and resulting the engine light to come on. We were expecting the worst, a expensive repair in the thousands to replace the engine. Well we couldnt believe it, but they informed us that it would be totally covered by a dealership warranty through Ford Motor Company and there would be no charge. Great service for this first time customer that will be taking all our vehicles to Precision Automotive Service.

I have a 2001 Ford Explorer with over 370K, owned since new. It has changed hands from me, to my older son, to now my younger teen son. For the most part I tend to do my own automotive repairs, but currently Im working up in Seattle while my family is back in Sacramento. As such, I am not in town and ready to repair things needing fixing.The other day my son let me know the A/C had stopped blowing cold. Without being home, there was very little I could do and as such needed to find a shop I could trust, who would take care of my teen with professionalism and respectful. Background: my AC in my Fiesta had been blowing out hot air then a little cold then back to hot. I originally took my car to Future Ford of Sacramento, and they told me that my AC Compressor needed replacing. They also told me I needed to replace the expansion valve, dryer and seals. They wanted $1800 to replace all of those parts. I wanted to get a second opinion. Precision Automotive Service was well reviewed online so I made an appointment to get it checked out. Not only was the problem not the AC Compressor or those other things. It was the cooling fan motor. So happy I found these guys. They gave me a great deal and even gave me a ride back to my place all the way across town. I’m so happy to have found them. Will be getting all of my car’s services done here from now on.

Courteous even in light of my recently cancelling two appointments, providing shuttle service, and detailing my car after the repairs for the appt I DID honor were accomplished, resulted in a very pleasant overall experience, and if my primary mechanic is not available for some reason, these guys are at the top of my list for auto repairs both big and small.

Precision automotive was a pleasant surprise. They are AAA approved and quite pleasant to work with. Scott is extremely knowledegeable and easy to work with. They are not the cheapest but they do good work. They offer a ride to and from their shop after dropping off your car and pick you up when done. Their complete report of the work done and needs to be done via email is very convenient.

It was a very hot day when my engine blew. I left the vehicle overnight at Precision. I had my 2000 GMC pickup towed to Precision Automotive because the engine overheated while driving to work. I called to ask if they could accept the truck for repair and they told me yes and they would call me when the tow truck showed up. As expected they called and they would look at it. I received a detailed phone call as to what they were going to do to diagnose the problem and they did. the next call was to explain what happened and what repairs needed to be made as well as cost. I gave go ahead on repair and they completed the repairs. once they were done I received a text message of the detailed inspection and repairs along with pictures to show me what was wrong. Followed up with a phone call and Truck was completed. Kudos to these folks...from my experience they were honest and straightforward with great communication.

Experience surpassed any and all my expectations

I will say it was a bit of a drive with traffic from the beach. The key is to not go during rush hour, next time, Ill schedule accordingly. Seeing how I was in a rush and he had a full schedule, I dropped it off first thing in the am. Thankfully, he was willing to accommodate my last min request and fit me in. When I picked it up at night, with no traffic it was only a 30 min drive, twice as long in rush hour. Definitely worth the drive! He also offers mobile detailing, but you must schedule that in advance.

I never write reviews. Ever. But Rick and the guys at Precision Automotive deserve this. This was truly the best experience I could have asked for. I never thought Id trust another mechanic as much as my hometown one, but these guys earned it. I had a semi-major repair which needed to be taken care of immediately. The dealership tried to hustle me on parts/labor and just didnt feel right. Precision Automotive was straight with me from the very start, allowed me to weight my options upon their recommendation, and make the decision that I thought was right for me. Additionally, they sent me a breakdown of other recommendations and a full analysis on what they recommend my vehicle needs, when it might need these repairs, and the priority of the respective repairs. Id trust Precision with my truck any day and plan to do so for time to come.

Very thorough and explained everything that they were doing. Had a shuttle to drive me home. Price was fair, but I wasnt expecting to get things done cheaply i wanted to get things done correctly and I wasnt disappointed.

Ohhh boy... these guys the opitomy of scam artists.Got an alternator replaced, for about $1,100 bucks. My truck still couldnt start. Told them I wanted a second opinion, and was told to kick rocks. Steve, the owner of this running scam told me I needed a new battery, and I just happened to purchase a brand new one before the vehicle was towed to their shop. They took about five days to replace the alternator using the wrong screws, and when I tried to return my new broken battery, I was told after several tests there was nothing wrong with it. After spending eleven hundred bucks, I was asked for more money to diagnose why the truck wasnt starting. Interesting enough one of their mechanics, could start the truck with a paper clip. I had to go to a better mechanic shop that fixed my vehicle. Later on I noticed that my tow hitch was removed from my truck. Why are these guys in business is beyond me. Save yourself a head ache, and go somewhere else.

I was blown away by an amazing service I received at Precision auto, right from the start when I spoke to Rick Norton on the phone in regards to an issue I had with my 03’ Chevy Diesel. He was able to asses the problem over the phone, since I’m a contractor and relit heavily on my truck, Rick was able to understand my situation and took my truck in within a few days. Other mechanic shops wanted me to wait for upwards of 2 weeks, I am very fortunate I was able to come across Rick and his team. They resolved my issue and got me back on the road within a week, along the way they were able to recommend other issues as well, and they took care of them with a reasonable costs. Prices are amazing, service is superb. I am a fairly new customer to Precision Automotive but the quality of customer care and service that I have received has been outstanding. I recently took my Toyota Camry in for repair but then I received a call from Lindsey stating that they needed to order a part and that they were going to have to keep my car longer than they anticipated. Because of this inconvenience Precision Automotive loaned me a car. I did not have to bum rides or be stranded at home and I was able to carry on with my day. When my car was ready for pick up not only had it been repaired to my satisfaction but it had been washed and vacuum. I was shocked to say the least. I have taken my car to other repair shops and never received this kind of treatment. Precision Automotive is AWESOME and I highly recommend them.

This is a good local auto shop. I really appreciated that they were honest with me about the fact that all the damage to my car in a recent accident was cosmetic. They definitely have high standards (higher than mine), and they told me exactly what Id have to do to bring the car back into shape by their standards. At the same, time they didnt make me feel like I had to get anything unnecessary done. I found the email about suggested repairs they sent me a little confusing, but they were very clear when they explained it on the phone.

If I could give negative stars I would!!!DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE!!!Came in with a power steering problem and SCOTT told its just the pump and he will have it fixed later in the week.. after making a loan of $900, the problem was still NOT fixed. When I came back to try to get it fixed, he said the warranty was no good and also said the rack and pinion had to be fixed with the pump, and He would have to get all new parts because the pump wasnt good anymore. Total scam, do not trust SCOTT!!
