I love this Ulta. The workers are always super nice and knowledgeable. They never make you feel stupid like *other* beauty stores.

First of all I go to ulta almost every other week. I had a return for a foundation and they told me that the person who bought it used all these coupons so the return money would be a penny yes a penny! ( mind you that person never used any coupons it was full price) What kind of return policy is this thats embarrassing! At least say they can’t give me a return, much better then offering me a damn penny

Staff were very helpful, store is very, very clean. Mask are required in store. People present were observant to give space when in the store. Overall good experience.

I have gone to this location multiple times since they re-opened because of the pandemic and I found it very odd and still find it odd that every time I go, there are always multiple customers without face coverings on/ not being properly worn. I looked up the face mask policy specifically for Ulta and sure enough the CEO, Mary Dillon, specified that face masks are required in order to shop as well as the Michigan Executive Order that states that any Michigan resident must be wearing a face covering indoors . I love shopping there but if they are not looking out for my safety as well as the safety of their own staff then maybe I should take my business elsewhere. Unbelievable.

I went to this store 3/3/2020 the store was clean I was greeted across the store. The women was somewhat helpful. They ask me what I’m looking for. I said what’s on sale. The employee told me it don’t work like that. I said I’m here to spend money to stalk up on my client for makeup so what’s new. They pretend to help but they seem like they don’t like they jobs and the brush you off. So in this store you are on your own. And the women don’t know how to match shades either. I will revisit this store again in a month hopefully it will be better. I usually dive all the way to flint instead of Saginaw. If you don’t want to work go home.

I went into this place for the first time ever with my wife the other day. I usually sit in the car. The manager that helped my wife, seemed to know her stuff. My wife bought some hair care products that the manager reccomend, and she is now happy.I thank the manager whom I did not catch her name for making my wife happy, and the experience in the store shorter and less painful than it could have been. Happy wife, happy life!They get 4 ☆ only because I am a cheapskate and I buy $2 shampoo.

I like the products and the prices are fair.Staff on the other hand were hit and miss. Some act like you are shoplifting and some are helpful.

The ladies that helped me find the foundation I was looking for were sweet, and I understand it can be difficult trying to match my skin color. Since I wasnt allowed to try it and she said I would get tanner I followed her to the front counter and purchased it. $48 Estee Lauder foundation thats too dark for me.... How on earth do I get my money back for this?

Fun store for beauty options!Is like a candy store for woman who enjoy browsing & sampling different types and colors to find just the right one. Prices can be high as with any retailer, just be wise. Makeup artists are available to help you and you can really learn allot about different application styles and makeup types just right for your skin. If you follow them for any time, you will see a nominal monthly coupon, great sales on upscale products and dont miss the 21 Days of Beauty promotion in the fall! Its addicting!

On October 29th I stopped into the store for hair care. I was looking for a particular product for stripping the well water yellow out of my hair. After being in the store for probably an hour, searching and asking, three people did not know of any products. Finally one girl and that one girl kudos to her that she was informed on products and was very helpful Thank you very much. Not sure what this girls name was but she deserves a raise

I got my hair done by Ashley at the Ulta in Saginaw, Michigan. She is the best! She did my hair for my graduation and she did an awesome job and really took her time to get it straightened and used wonderful anti frizz products which let my hairstyle last. I really really appreciate her work and she is one of the best hairstylist I’ve ever been to.

Staff is always friendly and the perfume/cologne testers are out and available!!

Staff is helpful. I wish they had make up removal wipe dispensers in the store. I love testing the make up but I dislike having to ask for hand cleaner/wipe EVERY visit.

Horrible service here. Very rude and not willing to offer help. I was asking for help and a employer had the nerve to tell me can you not hear me? Horrible customer service to be talked in such a way, and to do it in front of a manager. The manager stood there and didnt offer the help. I gladly told them Ill take my business to sephora. Which I will be from here on out.

I went to the salon and got a cut and color with Elizabeth. Off a not so great picture, she figured out the exact hair color I wanted. She even had the perfect haircut to keep my hair long and ad some bounce. As someone who is very paticular with their hair, I would 100% recommend the Ulta salon in Saginaw and Elizabeth!

I wasnt there

I came into the Ulta on 3279 Tittabawassee Rd In Saginaw looking for two items I had seen on the website. I didnt have anyone ask me if I needed help until I found an older lady, probably in her 50s. Now she was kind of nice, but seemed to be in a rush and didnt seem to care. I told her I was looking for a Freeman brand tube of mud mask and she took me to the ULTA brand Mud masks and said they didnt have freeman brand at all. I said okay, and then asked about a tool to remove blackheads. She also told me those were out of stock. She left me empty handed. After looking around (because I didnt believe her) I found the freeman mud masks literally across the isle from where we had been standing, in stock. I also found that the tool I asked for was in stock because I checked on my phone and it said it was in stock at the store. This lady was very unhelpful and acted like me and my business wasnt important because I wasnt dropping $100+ on makeup that day. Definitely makes me want to shop at Ulta even less. I received horrible customer service.

I had only heard of Ulta—as I don’t have one near me. What a disappointment! I was looking for several things—The first item was a lipstick from Lancôme. I was told it was discontinued and that Macy’s didn’t have it anymore! I was told by a woman with “19 years in the industry” that they were not making it anymore! She helped me—for a minute...Did not ask me if I wanted help with anything else! I ended up getting so upset and my daughter picked out a Revlon lipstick that was 5.00 more than WalMart!! I phoned Macy’s this morning and guess what??? They had 2 of my lipsticks—and I was informed that this lipstick is NOT BEING DISCONTINUED!! I will NEVER EVER give Ulta my business again!!! Macy’s ROCKS!! The Saginaw Ulta is a JOKE!!!

Not even worth a star. The Saginaw location was absolutely terrible. I went in for a sample of a new foundation ( they had a sign right next to the display about a free 10 day sample). No workers were around to help me. I made eye contact with two of the workers who were talking amongst themselves at the Benefit counter. They did not seem to move after they could obviously tell I needed help. I went to the counter and asked them if I could try the free ten day sample of the foundation and proceeded to point to the sign. They glared at each other and told me we dont do that. I knew that was not true because two days prior a manager had given my friend a sample while I was standing right next to her. This happens every time I come into this store. Highly recommend not wasting your time. The only reason I ever go into Ulta in Saginaw is if i dont have time to run to Midland or if Sephora in the Saginaw mall doesnt have something I want.

What can I say? Im a Diamond member for a reason! I love ULTA. The workers are very knowledgeable and helpful. I did get a pretty bad brow wax one time, but as long as I avoid the beauty services, Im good to go.

I came in about a month ago and have been debating writing a review, but I feel like people do need to know about my disappointing experience from this store. I really wanted to come in and get foundation matched for Estée Lauder foundation. I walked in and there were 2 girls up front at the register. One was helping someone picking up their online order and the other was not doing anything- just standing at the register. I was never greeted, and usually I am. I go over to the foundation to see if I can match myself since I didn’t feel like the one girl not doing anything cared to help me, but I was struggling. I went up to the counter (girl #1 was now helping someone else and girl #2 was still standing at the register not helping anyone) and I seriously stood there for a good 30 seconds before she ever said anything to me. So she finally asks “can I help you with something?” And I tell her what I came in for and that I was having trouble matching my own foundation. We go over and she tells me to take off all my foundation, so I do. It’s like she was getting annoyed with me trying to take off all my foundation, like I was burdening her because she said “I mean it’s probably off good enough, it doesn’t have to ALL come off” so I’m thinking “ok well excuse me for wanting the best color match possible”... so she tries about 4 shades because she couldn’t tell me what my undertones were, and she did not try small swatches, she put a huge glob on (about as much as I would put for my whole face) and did a complete side of my face. Why she did this and not a small strip matched to my cheek and neck I don’t know.About 15 mins later and we are still matching, and I see the foundation ad right in front of me that says “don’t know your shade? No more guessing! Ask for your perfect match today” and had a picture of the foundation matching machine, like Sephora has. I asked her if they have a foundation matcher like Sephora, and she said no, which I’m not sure why they would have the advertisement if it’s something they don’t have in store. I felt really rushed, I felt like she couldn’t properly find my foundation match by applying to half my face at a time, I felt like I was bothering her by coming in, and I shop at ulta really frequently. I will not return to this store, and will go to Sephora instead (which is a shame because I do like Ulta’s selection better, but at least I can get a foundation matched at Sephora) I ended up leaving with the foundation that she said matched, and now will have to return it because it is definitely the wrong color for me, as my neck and face don’t match. Such a frustrating experience. Ulta should have girls working there who like to help people, increase sales, suggest new things if something isn’t working (if she couldn’t find my match she could have suggested another foundation) instead of making people feel like their basic needs are problematic and stupid.

See I do love makup and the employees at ulta are great but there policys Not So Much I was told today if you buy foundation online and if its on sale you cant even exchange it for the same price I mean who knows exactly what shade they are in a foundation theyve never tried I think this policy is ridiculous I should have to pay more for a different shade in the same foundation

I have been shopping at this Ulta for several years now and they are almost always out of stock of the items I want (both prestige and drug store) no matter what day of the week I go. They never have any stock in the back and Im always told to come back Friday morning. Workers are usually okay but managers are rude and give dirty looks. They make you feel stupid for asking questions and are very unapproachable if you have questions or cant find something. Finally fed up with this store and will be doing most of my makeup shopping online from now on.

I dont really know what star rating to give. The managers name is Shelley. Shes also at the Flint location. She was fired from her manager position in the salon i used to work in for her poor treatment of people. Shes not nice,she knows very little,but will try to make everyone feel like they know nothing. Ulta needs to get it together and send her packing

I shop at this location very frequently and typically have a positive experience, however, their new manager (I assume shes a manager because she has an attitude like she owns the entire franchise) is rude, not friendly at all, and if youre younger than a woman in her 40s she doesnt give you the time of day. During one encounter with her, I was taking an eye-shadow palette from the back of the stack (since in the past Ive taken from the front and got it home to discover someone had opened and swatched it) and the sensors started beeping. She rushed over and took the palettes from my hand and asked what I was doing and if she could help me. Basically, she treated me like a piece of dirt thief. As stated before, I spend a LOT of money at this location and to be treated in such a manner was incredibly insulting!! I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt, but every single time Ive been there when shes working, she stares at me, is sassy, and completely rude. After the multiple experiences that Ive had with her, I will do my future shopping online or at the Midland location. I hate to give this store such a low rating because most of the girls who work there are extremely friendly, helpful, and polite. Has anyone else dealt with this woman? Shes older, very tall and has short blonde hair. I dont know where she came from, but she needs to go back!

My boyfriend was buying me something for Christmas after he was working hard at his job where his hands get dirty and when he went to go pay and hand the girl his money she had the audacity to whisper under her breath ew... even when I go inside they dont make you feel welcomed.

Not even worth a star! I came right into the store and I was in the makeup section over 5 minutes without being greeted, no other customer was in that section but me. There was one clerk putting makeup on and another one looking at herself in the mirror. She finally came over and asked if I was looking for something! Well, I was but not now! Poor, poor customer service! Even the checkout clerk should shout out a Hi as you walk in!

The employee in the Estée Lauder area has a major attitude problem. Don’t bother asking a question. I simply asked if the coupon was able to be used with this line and she stated, “You have to read the fine print.” Okay - Great, I did and it does not say Estée Lauder. She goes but it says Pretige, so no. How am I supposed to know this information... I’m in the health care field, not make-up field. I prefer Macy’s any day! Love them.- Dr. Smith

I wasnt greeted when I came in like the one in Lapeer but once I was in and needing help they were helpful and knowledgeable.

Worst and I mean worst, customer service. The employees in the store are all very stuck up. Asking for help finding an item or asking for a recommendation on a make up brand is clearly an inconvenience for any of the employees. Dread going here and would rather go to Sephora.
