I’ve bought two cars from Mercedes of Salem, both experiences have been horrible. I refused to get service done there because of the terrible service. Most recently I had to take my car to have clear bar replaced due to warranty. They did not replace it, only cut out the bad piece. I bought this car brand new and it’s less than a year old. Replacing the clear bra is covered under warranty. When I picked up my car and looked at the repair, instead of replacing the clear film they cut out the damaged part of clear film. Mike the manager said they would not replace it. The additional piece with water damage was not replaced either. I will never buy or use their service again. Terrible customer service and overall shady business manager
We were on a long distance trip a few weeks back with our Sprinter Van when our check engine light came on south of Eugene. We went into the Eugene Mercedes dealership and they told us their computers were busy and that they did not have the time. We went across the street to the Dodge dealership, where they had the computer, but could not find where to insert the plug under the dashboard. I called the Salem Mercedes dealership, since we were headed north. I was immediately transferred to Evan (an actual Sprinter person). He told us to come in right about 1 and they would take a look at it. We were there at 1. He came out immediately, and then his two technicians came out. They immediately put the computer onto the vehicle and told us what was wrong and not to worry about it, but get it checked when we got home.We would like to give a shout out to Evan, Collin and Daniel. They were professional, friendly, TIMELY, and eased our concerns. We have never been into a dealership that was so incredibly responsive.Thank you SO much.

Have only used them for service. Not as cheap as an independent guy I used in my last city but they get the job done. Way, WAY better customer service than the Wilsonville branch. I know if my car goes in here theyll be getting back to me with a estimate in a few days, like I expect, instead of going in a queue for weeks.

Evan and the MB Salem experience has restored my belief that dealerships are not all bad. Ive had some awful experiences at MB dealerships with my Sprinter (not all bad, but some quite bad), but this was honestly one of the best service experiences Ive had with any vehicle mechanic (past and present, dealer or not). Evan was great to schedule with, listened to the feedback and provided very clear timelines, and met them. Honest, transparent and professional - a real pleasure to have work done at MB Salem and would return again if I needed additional work. Highly recommended.
The people here are great. The reason for 2 stars is its always a hassle if anything goes wrong with your car. Here is my example.My cars battery went down on a Saturday. There service department in not open until Monday. So we put a new battery in. The car starts but it runns bad. So we have to take it in to get it looked at. Well because its a Mercedes they have to resett system. Way more hassle than the car is worth
The service at Mercedes-Benz of Salem is exemplary, particularly the efforts of Don Post. I recently brought my vehicle in for so necessary repairs and maintenance and had excellent contact for updating on where things stood. The costs came in under the quoted amount, which was refreshing compared to my experiences at other dealerships. Itll be very easy in the future to trust them to take care of my vehicle. And Don is always a friendly face with all the answers!
I was under the impression that when I bought a Mercedes I would get good service. I have never been so disappointed with buying a car. All they have given me is a run around. They sold a Mercedes to me with a cracked windshield and tried to patch it. After a fight they agreed to replace the windshield forgot to order it....then blamed me for not calling them. Passed me off to a place to replace it and can not get a call back. Very dissatisfied!
Mr. Post in service, that man is a GOD sent. The Mechanics there are pleasant and transparent. Parts will go above and beyond. As soon as I can afford to I am dying to see if sales is just as good as the rest of the staff there!!!
I am new to the Mercedes family and my recent experience at Mercedes-Benz of Salem may be enough to keep me with them for a long time. From start to finish, Bernardo was professional, attentive, informative and timely in his responses. Through a phone call and text, he was able to quote me pricing on a lease, set up a test drive, and then of course complete the process in person. My wife and I visited Salem MB to look at a GLA 250 model they had just received on a trade-in. Sales person Abel was great to work with and we liked the car. Asked for numbers and he talked to the finance manager (Gentleman with grey ponytail). Mr. Ponytail told him to tell us that car should have been priced $3,000 higher and that they would increase the price of the car in the morning. We asked that since they had quoted our price would they guarantee. He said they would if we bought it now. It was 6pm and they closed at 7pm. We asked is we could sleep on it and let them know in the morning. Mr. Ponytail told Abel to tell us NO. We did not appreciate the strong-arm tactics and left. We went to Wilsonville MB the next day and purchased a GLA 250 and just love it. Wilsonville MB understands that deals are based on relationships unlike our experience in Salem. Plus Wilsonville has a great barista lady that serves hot drinks (such as espresso), and non-alcoholic beverages, and great snacks. It is the small things folks.
I have a smart car which is made by mercedes and my battery went dead this morning so I called to talk to their service department and I was told by the receptionist that I needed to go to Portland for service. I live in salem and dont understand why the do not service all of their products it seems unreasonable to me.
Wilsonville has more amenities and they treat you feel like royalty when youre in there. Salem needs to step up their game please get a little more fancy😅

I definitely recommend stopping in to visit Sierra, she was personable, accommodating, and knew the options on the car I was looking at. Chris the finance manager worked with me to get me where I wanted to be money wise. He was friendly and straightforward which is always appreciated. My short journey started over at Ford with Jack and Lola (also great to work with and recommend seeing) and ended over at Mercedes of Salem. This is my second purchase with Donofrio, once with Ford and now Mercedes. They’ve made car shopping less stressful for me and it’s something that will bring me back to see them again.
Be very cautious when buying a prepaid maintenance plan with this dealership. You may be paying for a service you will never get. I dont put many miles on my convertible so I will only be getting the A and B service which would have cost me about $1200, but I paid $2150 for the prepaid plan. I realized my mistake when I made an appointment for the first of the three prepaid services. I then asked Chris Wagner (the sales rep who sold me the plan) for a breakdown of the services and an explanation of the charge and he was unable to provide this information. He made it very clear that he takes no responsibility for selling me a plan that does not meet my needs. I attempted to speak with the service manager but he also was of no help. I am so surprised and dismayed that this unethical practice is allowed by this dealership.

Mike the manager was another awesome guy when I signed my papers. Chris in finance (although did not got the chance to meet him) is another nice guy to talk to on the phone. Apparently they have a reputation for it as well, because when I called to get quotes from competing services, they said they couldnt do the work I requested, and they recommended going to the service department in Beaverton Mercedes to avoid the problems at this dealership.Congratulations, your lack of tact and professionalism has earned you a poor reputation.

Husband and I are wanting to purchase a Sprinter Van 3500. We have been looking around for a bit and saw one at this dealership that we were interested in. My husband had been communicating via text with someone at the dealership about this particular vehicle. We were told that the fleet salesman was not there yesterday but to come in today, 2/7/2021, to look at the van. We drove down from Woodburn just to see this van. When we arrived, we were told that not only was the Fleet salesperson NOT there but that all the Sprinters had been sold except for one. Including that one we were told to come see. Waste of time and gas. Very poor customer service. We will not be going back and will instead purchase from Wilsonville Mercedes. Inexcusable.
Great place to get service for my Mercedes. Tire light came on after the weather turned cold.Pulled into service bay and the service adviser took my car in and adjusted my tire pressure in 15 minutes. Great service.

I’ve been looking for a car for a while and I saw an Audi online that I was interested in. The salesperson that I was matched with is Sierra Dashner. Before I arrived, Sierra had already shared a ton of information about the vehicle. When I arrived she informed me about all the recent service work that had been done to the vehicle including tire status and brake pad life. I had all the info I needed to make a decision. Although I didn’t end up buying the car, I enjoyed working with Sierra and would recommend her to anyone. Well done!

Just bought a brand new 2020 CLA 250. What an amazing experience. Highly recommend working with Abel. He was such a professional and I felt he was on my side throughout the buying experience. While I was traveling with my family and net surfing at hotel 1am in the night, I don’t know but I ended up landing at Salem Merc. website.Checking out different cars in inventory, I ran into an older Lexus GS just like mine but little newer. I LOVE my S212 and R129 but you see, I also LOVE my GS too. The GS ad didn’t have pictures loaded but description and CarFax history looked very nice. The car was in Oregon and I’m in Michigan... and I can’t just “come take a look”. So I ended up sending an inquiry that Sat evening, thinking maybe I’ll hear something on Monday.Then I get a call from Abel on Sunday. Yeah, Sunday following thru on my inquiry that I’ve sent few hours earlier. I couldn’t believe it! By the way Abel communicated and presented himself, I could really feel a good vibe from him via cell phone. I liked him. Abel promised he’ll go take few pictures and send them to me, and then go from there.Ok, let’s stop here. So how many times people, especially those sales and other customer services people promise something and ACTUALLY follow thru on his/her promise? 1 out of 20, maybe more like 1 out of 50? Abel actually not only followed thru on his promise but he kept me updated every few hours. He updated me that he was running behind. He informed me that the car wasn’t at the lot it was supposed to, so he’ll need to go to the other lot. He told me that he finally found the car but the store is closed and behind the fence that he can’t close to it for good pictures, and so on. This was definitely one of the best communication experience.And yes, after Abel and I going back few times, I’ve decided to go forward without looking at it, and without test driving it. It was scary but trusted Abel and took the plunge.I’d like to also send a BIG Thank You to the person prepped and reconditioned the GS. Abel sent me the pictures of the car before and after, and the difference is Huge! I truly appreciate all the work and time you’ve put into it. She looks fantastic!The backside of the car got covered with bugs while it got transported from Oregon to Michigan (she had a spot above the driver cabin), but I’ll do through bath tomorrow.I wish I was living in Salem area so that I could experiment Salem Merc.’s service department. Are they as good as Abel and reconditioning team? I can’t wait to find and buy another interesting car from Abel.
I went to Mercedes of Salem for a specific car only they had. Because I was there to look at something specific the deal was easy, as advertised and sold. I worked with George and he was very nice, easy to work with. What I would say is that when you sell someone a vehicle regardless of the year or value you should fill it up with gas and just make sure its dialed in. I made the deal 2 days previous and they knew we were coming to pick it up and when my wife got in her new car to pull off the lot the gas light was already on. So the last impression we have is that they did no prep to a 2019 vehicle they knew they were selling that day. Its the little things that make the difference.

So, I had done about two weeks worth of research on what kind of car my wife should get!(She was adamant about not driving a Mercedes) I was looking for something reliable and moderately luxurious. We went to the Mercedes lot to look at an Acura MDX/RDX to compare the size difference and features. A very nice sales guy named Abel came out to greet us with the best smile.My wife needed to take a work call, so i wandered about the sales lot drooling over a few Mercedes! Abel being the nice guy that he is, brought me the keys for a few of them to look at.We took the RDX on a test drive and looked at the MDX, which were both fine vehicles. Then Abel, being the nice guy and good salesman that he is Insisted we also look at the 2020 Mercedes GLE he has in on trade. (it was very close to the price of the MDX.)LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!! She said, Honey I want this car!So now, with the help of Able Cardona( our salesman) my wife is one happy lady sporting her new Benz!Abel was very nice, funny, (NOT PUSHY) BEST SALES GUY EVER!

Amazing I work for an ambulance company, we have a Mercedes-dodge van and had mechanical issues. Took it to 4-5 other mechanics including Eugene dealer and Mercedes in Salem has nailed it everytime and quickly. They are amazing in our eyes.
This is a Mercedes dealership that is run like a Ford dealer.After my mother found a new 2019 CLA 250, I thought she could get a good deal on it. Here it is late October, the 2020s are out and they should be making good deals.My 82 year old mother went to the dealer without me, I live 300 miles away, and called me with an insulting deal. The dealership was using difference figures to confuse her, not a Mercedes worthy tactic. She gave me the difference figure and once I used sticker on the Merc, I found they were giving her average book value on her pristine trade (this is based on a full retail sale of a leftover 2019 model!).While all other dealers are making great deals on left over models, this dealer is business as usual. Trying to make as much from each deal as they can. Not what I expect out of a high end dealership at all. More like what I would expect if I were buying a Ford. And not how I expect my 82 year old mother to be treated. If you promise her a great deal, then dont make a full pop deal and try to convince her it is a good deal.I dont leave reviews often. But this was unexpected from a Mercedes dealer.

My Acura EL (Canadian car) needed servicing, with both warranty work and wear and tear problems. Kevin was everything I would hope for in a service manager - friendly, helpful, proactive, and most importantly, honest. Fresh baked cookies are nice, but what will keep me coming back is great service.

My husband and I just got a van from Brian and Eli. It was the best, easiest experience we’ve ever had with getting a vehicle. We tried to go to the Mercedes-Benz in Wilsonville and the customer service was absolutely the worst. They didn’t care, they were snippy and rude making us feel like calling to ask a simple question was a waste of their time. So happy we found this place in Salem with people who were nice and went beyond and above.

Very unprofessional as a female shopper I felt very attacked and uncomfortable when I went in there for a piece to fix my car. Instead of helping me the guy in there was rude as all get and very sexist trying to tell me I didnt know what I was doing and then when I said I needed this specific piece he said to come back the next day and they would have it. Guess what? He ordered the wrong piece and when I stated this he tried to mix it up? This has happened twice this week. Very disappointed and I will be selling my car so I will not have to deal with such childishness again. Voices were raised and not a single manager came to ask what was wrong.
I recently took my car to have the transmission serviced at Mercedes-Benz of Salem and I could not be more impressed. When I called around for prices, Mercedes was by far the cheapest as surprising as that might be. I am younger and dont own a super fancy car, yet when I walked in I was treated kindly and respectfully, like anyone else in there. They offered me many different complimentary items, which is always a nice touch. I am also a huge car guy and was allowed to sit in the different show room cars which made my day. Definitely will be bringing my car back for future needs!
Great experience at MB of Salem. Brought my car in for a B Service, it was done before time they said it would be done. They cleaned it very nicely, and even gave me a loaner car during the service. I prefer it to my local dealer for these reasons: Better Parking, no inconvenience placed upon the customer, got the fix and service done right the first time. Plus, I do not worry about my car getting stolen off their lot!

Just purchased a Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic from you. At one point I was ready to walk away from the deal because I thought the car was overpriced. But Cyndy wasnt taking no for an answer and provided me with the documentation I needed to convince me that the car was actually being offered at a fair price. Im grateful to her for that. Went in to buy a car from this dealership, I talked the price down a little bit and they said we had a deal they told me to come back the next day so i put down a hundred dollars to hold the car and they said they would run my credit when the banks were open, came in later only too see them showing my car to another buyer and they told me my credit didnt go through even with my co signer who had great credit. I found out later they didnt run a credit check on my co signer Wich they said they did, I came to the conclusion that they found a buyer that was willing to pay more so they tossed me out of the way to make a little more money on a sale. This is the worst car dealership I have ever been too, the manager was the guy I was talking with so I would say the whole staff is like this.
Cyndy was amazing with helping my husband and I find the perfect SUV. She has excellent customer service skills and really goes the extra mile for you. It was by far the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had and I absolutely love my GLC 300. It is not normally my thing to write a review. However, in the case of Mercedes Benz of Salem, I feel compelled to do so! We first started dealing with these folks with a purchase of a set of tires. After shopping around to other dealerships, they were the cheapest. Also, they had them available right away. Every time that we needed ANYTHING from the service and/or parts dept, we were greeted and called by name as soon as we arrived. Our needs were always met in a friendly and timely manner!Because our GLK was getting older, we decided to trade up in order to get one with all the bells and whistles and safety features we desired. They had just what we wanted at a very fair price. Their attention was incredible as soon as we inquired. We were able to meet with them on our time schedule. We feel that their sales dept was very fair and very knowledgeable. They were able to answer our concerns and/or questions.On a 90 degree plus day, we were met at the door with bottles of water! We feel that this dealership goes above and beyond their call of business!! Enough said!!!
We have found that Lisa Upex knows a lot about cars and was able to find us a wonderful used, newer car for an amazing price (under $10,000). The dealership is top notch and I would recommend anyone to ask for Lisa when looking for a car. She listens and will find what you want. They have a great selection of used and new cars! Thank you!

I had a great experience overall with the dealership. I purchased a car from them out of state and they were patient and accommodating. They even drove to my Hotel close to an hour away to pick me up.When I arrived the car had been put aside as I asked and didn’t have any extra mileage out on it. It was clean and completely cold (engine wise) as I had requested so that I could properly inspect it before purchase. The car was as adevertises and as promised. Nothing more, nothing less.My sales person was Bernardo who was a pleasure to deal and finally meet at the time of purchase. He was extremely patient and cooperative with me and I truly appreciated that. I’ve been in automotive sales myself previously so I understand it can be tedious at times, especially with certain customers.The whole staff at the dealership was pleasant and polite if I can be honest. Even in the service bays and down to the porter that was dealing with me and the car while I inspected it.Overall I’m very happy with my experience and purchase at Mercedes of Salem, OR. I can wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and sales person to anyone. Definitely one of the good dealerships. And having worked at a few prior, well, I can tell you that they are few and far between.***Something worth noting is that the sales manager ate some money on the deal vs the original agreed upon deal due to a mistake on their part with quoted numbers/term on the purchase. They took and accepted responsibility and did what they could to remedy the situation and I greatly appreciate that.***I wish I didn’t live a thousand miles away from these guys. The service I got from them was much better than the service I’ve gotten from Mercedes dealerships in my area of CA.-Alex.
Helpful staff at their parts department
Excellent customer service both in the sales department and service department. We traded in our Acura for a Mercedes and were given a lot of detail about the Mercedes with no high-pressure sales tactics. Any time weve had our vehicle serviced here, weve been provided a high end loner vehicle and the service has been reliable and well worth the price. My husband who works on cars and has historically done all the work on our vehicles has been very satisfied with their diagnoses of issues and work performed. Ive experienced some great customer service at other dealerships, but I think Ive found my go-to for car shopping in the future. They have a good selection of low-mile pre-owned certified vehicles.
Lisa Upex is the sweetest saleswoman I have ever encountered. She sold me my newest car and I have gone to her for any issues, I would recommend her to everyone. The service is impeccable as well, 10/10 dealership.

I have just come from an appointment for my first Service A for my Sprinter RV. Both Mike Schmidt and Mike Leblanc were a pleasure to work with - They ensured I knew exactly what the scope of service was, and called me back (twice!) when there were other recommendations based on work under the hood. Mike L. found a potentially dangerous problem and corrected it, showing me each step along the way. I drive past TWO other Mercedes service shops to come down to Salem from Portland- and they are my shop for life.
