I did not feel pressured into any decision. When I decided to bring my car there, they kept me informed, called, and made timely repairs and their prices were very reasonable. Bouchards and Sons was recommended to me when I moved to Salem in 2005 and I have bringing my car them for repair, inspection and maintenance ever since. Mike and his team are friendly, honest (more than once saying a repair can be postponed), go out of their way to help (even drove to my house when they couldnt reach me by phone), try to meet my scheduling needs and do great work. Im rather embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write this review!

I had never been here before when I stopped by to ask if they had time for an inspection. They pulled my car right in and looked everything over. He failed me for several reasons and sited things that werent even a matter of safety. This would have been forgivable if it wasnt for the way he treated me. I am a young woman and when I asked him questions about what needed to be fixed and why he wouldnt even give me the time of day. I asked if his shop could do the work and if so if he had an estimate and he replied we are really busy right now and walked away before I could barely finish my sentence. I found him to be very rude. Poor customer service. I wont be going back here.

Brought in the car of a family member, it sits for long periods, and is an older car. I do a little work in my garage and took a look at the brakes myself and knew they were roached. I couldnt get the caliper bolts off myself. I took it down to Bouchard. They were friendly, called me back ASAP with an estimate after looking at the situation, and stayed in communication after I OKd the job. Happy with the price, happy with the service, happy with the turnaround, and the brakes work great. Ill go back.

Got the recommendation for Bouchard because *everyone* I worked with went there...they would drive us to work. They are honest and truthful about what your car needs, no BS! I had to move out of the area but would recommend them to anyone in the Salem area.
