I purchased a Queen box springs and bed frame from Sleepy Hollow Sleep Shop in Salem Ohio. The frame was poorly made with crooked interior slats that left gaps plus the slats were bowed upwards. Their delivery charges were too high so I hired a local mover to deliver the items to my condo. When we got it into the house we discovered all the issues. I contacted Sleepy Hollow and sent them pictures. They agreed it was poorly made and that they would replace it. They would not reimburse me the money I had already spent for delivery nor would they deliver the replacement. I was offered two choices. O e was that I bring I. The poorly made one and pick up the replacement. I explained that I would have to pay the men that delivered it to return it and then deliver the replacement. They said my only other option was to use their private delivery service which they hire out and the cost would be $65.00. Since I only paid $129 for the box springs and then paid $30 to two local movers I felt paying another $65 was ridiculous. My total delivery would the.have been $95 for a $129 box springs. I am extremely disappointed in this company and would never recommend them.

The gentleman who was working that day was an impersonable man, only interested in the sale, and he was a mess. Shirt untucked, tie all disheveled, wrinkly clothes. He really didnt put out a good picture for the store. Was disappointed in the prices and how high they were.

Don t buy anything from this company unless you enjoy really bad customer service. Once the sale is made and the money is received, they treat you like dirt. They will not even call you to confirm their delivery date and then when you call them and get a time and date, they dont show up. You call them and they give you the cable television treatment. They tell you theyll show up when they want, sometime between x and y. Mattresses are expensive and we got a top line model. To then expect your customers to sit around and wait all day for delivery is not right. We could have bought it from the big, new chain store in town. But we decided to go with the local company. Big mistake! P. S. We were told we we were getting such bad delivery treatment because we were in Salem, Ohio. Then why do you have a store down here?

To have a company staying true to the community is very important. We always should try and make sure we patronize an establishment that pays taxes and helps build up local commerce. These guys know what theyre doing and wouldnt have been in business for years if they didnt do what it takes to keep the community happy.
