I cant express enough how great the mechanics are here. They really took care of me when I went in. Eddie that assisted with my appointment and repairs was super helpful. On top of all the work they did he was able to help point out some other issues for free that needed to be done to my car which was really appreciated. If you want good services and at a very reasonable price definitely go here. If you get Eddie to assist you even better! Definitely will be returning.

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I was explained exactly what was done to my vehicle and where the Rangers should be for a front end alignment. Driver side window was stuck in a down position and they returned it so that it was closed without me asking them to do so. This was very much appreciated and a nice surprise upon arrival to pick my car back up. I will definitely return in the future and recommend to others

I had such a wonderful experience at Mavis. My tire kept going flat and no one else could tell me why it was really happening until I came to Mavis. Ian and his team showed me exactly what was going on and what needed to be done to fix the problem. They were super friendly, very helpful and very informative. Very Good Service. Mavis Tires did a Good Job installing 4 New Tires on my Car, New Shocks, and a Wheel Alignment in about 1 hour. Very good Respectable Management there, and Good Mechanics. A few months later, I went back 4 months later and I also got Oil Change, & New Brakes installed on my car. They all did a very good job. I was pleased, & happy with the overall service. Great shop, very helpful staff. If your vehicle has an issue, these guys will get it done. Plus they have the equipment to lift large trucks. 3 local shops turned me down because they couldnt fit my truck in their bays, Mavis has the space.

Mavis did my oil change and rotated my tires. They noticed my brakes needed to be replaced and quoted me a price. After checking around, they were the best deal. By far! They were able to take my car in the day I called to make the appointment. Friendly and helpful staff.

Came in for a slow leak, they were able to patch it up for me. My breaks also needed to be done, but I never mentioned it to them as I was just looking to get my tire patched and come back another day when I had more time. They brought me into the bay and showed me first hand a couple of things they had found, including my front breaks needing to be done. I appreciate how thorough they were. Eddie was the mechanic and especially knowledgeable and kind. But more than that, he was honest. I asked a few questions, he explained everything in detail. And even told me some things that I DIDNT need to do. They didn’t try to just take my money. They made sure I was aware of the work that my car needed, didn’t push for anything extra, and made sure it was safe to drive before I left 100% coming back for future services.

I took my 2017 Toyota Camry to Mavis Selena NH location for tire checking. I was told my current tires are summer tires and not suite for NE winter. I took the same car a few days ago to Toyota dealership where I bought the car for an oil change. I was told the two rear tires needed to be replaced but they didn’t tell me the tires are the wrong type. I had replaced four 100,000mile warranty tires at Mavis with a very reasonable price I think. I also replaced my rear break. I like Mavis 3year alignment plan,too. I think I paid $150 or so for unlimited alignment service. I think they did a good job for me and will recommend this place to my friends.

I called and got the call center and she booked an appointment for 8 am Saturday. Luckily I called and they asked if I could please come in for 1. I came in at 1 and the parking lot was packed. I was waiting for the car. They apologized and even took off some money. They were understaffed and were busting there tails off. John explained to me what was going on each step of the way. I just wanted to know how long and he said they will get it in right away after waiting two hours but not their fault as every car they had in had an issue like couldnt get the tire off. As soon as one of the guys noticed how long I was waiting he said sorry and was running around and busting his but. Im not sure your name but thank you so much greatly appreciate your hard work. For the call center dont like it at all rather talk to the store since they know whats going on. These hard dedicated workers work really hard and need to be appreciated. Thank you Steven or Stephen how ever you spell it for your time your busted your butt. And even Thank you again and will be back but not calling I will show up and make an appointment. I am good with the call center.

Appointment at 9, car gets in at 10 and they keys are handed back at 12. Unprofessional at best, the topper was their statement we couldnt do an alignment because it wouldnt work. The car is a 5yo X5, there shouldnt have been any issues aligning.

Pete was incredible and called to inform me halfway through changing my tires that my brakes did not need to be changed like I thought they did (I was planning on changing my brakes next) and that I should change my coolant. I was incredibly surprised that he called halfway through to update me on that and was impressed that he didnt try to get me to get new brakes as I thought I did need them. It took a weight off me to know that my brakes still had padding and would not be a safety issue soon. He also looked into what was making the squeaking noise while applying the brakes and told me what it was even though that wasnt what I was there for.They were on time and extremely professional.They took my car in and changed my brakes and conducted an alignment the same day I walked in to ask..They gave me 3 options for tires, all of which were 65k or higher and provided a cheap lifetime(of the tire) warranty for all 4 tires. They also returned my donut to my trunk for me even though the trunk was packed with christmas items and coats!I was extremely impressed by the service I received here and will absolutely be returning and referring my friends and family! The price was slightly more than the other locations Id checked out, but the fact they could do it the same day, the tires they had in stock, and the quality of service and tire made it worth it, especially since I had a flat tire and had been driving on a donut for 2 days! I will absolutely be coming back and requesting to work with him in the future. Thank you!

Both the gentleman at the front and the mechanic were extremely helpful and accommodating. I was late for my appointment time and they still took my car. If you are going to leave your vehicle, do not rely on a Uber. I was unable to book a Uber ride after an hour of trying. They put in a new battery in my car and I was extremely grateful. They were efficient, honest, informative and friendly. I will definitely be returning!

Got 4 tires on my car in November. They did not offer the roadside hazard on the tires before I left the store. Someone slashed 2 tires about a month later... Im out close to 500 dollars. No skin off their back. I put in another 2000 dollars of work already with them on my car. So, they are happy with my money; while, Im stuck a larger bill(Tow truck and all)

NTB appears to have been taken over by Mavis Tire Express as of Feb 2020. Anyways I stopped by on a Saturday to get 4 new tires and an alignment. There was only 2 cars in the bay and I asked how long. They said 2 hours which I thought was a bit long but there were some stores in the area, so I decided to go forward even though their tire prices were higher than I expected. I came back 2 hours later and the car was still on the lift with no tires 1 hour later s someone drove the car to the front so I waited in line for another 15 minutes but when I spoke to someone at the cash register it turned out that they never did the alignment. They told me that it appeared someone had mixed up to 2 Nissan Altimas in the bay...so here I wait and they tl me it will still be another hour. Hey I get that places can get busy and they dont have the money to pay these folks 6 figures, but they told me 2 hours and it will clearly be now at least 4 hours. I am being hd hostage by NTB (Mavis) and my car!

No problems at all. Mavis takeover seems to be a smooth transaction since they are honoring certain NTB policies, like free tire rotation if tires were purchased at NTB. Also your NTB credit card can still be used for a designated time period letting you apply for a Mavis card to replace NTBs. Prices are reasonable too!! Very pleased with Mavis!!

These people were completely incapable of reprograming the TPMS system. They have failed multiple times on three separate occasions.

Brought my truck in for a slow leak. I bought tire here and had road Hazzard. I thought I saw a nail. They tell me no nail but replaced the valve stem. Next day tire is low. Brought it in the following day and showed them the nail. They hand me my keys and said it was fixed and sorry. Three hours later my tire has 23lbs of air. I bring it back and they tell me they replace the stem patch and I should be good. I leave and only 29lbs of pressure in the tire so I had to stop on my way home and fill it. Wow! Lets hop I dont have to go back. If I do Im definitely not going back there.

I wanted to give a shout out on Nick. Nick was hands on with me the entire way, from the administrative side to rhe hands on my vehicle side. He was outstanding attending to my vehicles specific requirements & administratively when I had an issue with my store credit card. With 100% follow up & attention to detail I would highly recommend Nick to see vice your vehicle tire needs.

Had all new tires installed a few weeks ago... 1 week later while driving on Rt 93, my car began violently shaking. I discovered that all 5 lug nuts were almost completely off the threads on 1 tire & had never been tightened after the tire was placed back on vehicle.

Slow! Told 2 to two and a half hours. It’s now been almost 3. My car has just been sitting, and so have I. I’ve complained, but they don’t seem to care. I sure hope the work was done right. But if the other reviews on here are to be believed, my hopes aren’t that high.

Place is awful, ver unorganized, and slow.NTB was much better, these guys act like they have no drive to get it done quick. Guy goes and takes a cigarette break, before he puts the tire back on my truck. Ill just go to town fare tire, next time.

Helpful, quick, and reasonable!

Went in for an alignment and they did not change anything I asked them to fix. Took about 2 hours. I am now down $80 and my car is still unaligned!! Do not go here for alignments!!

I was extremely happy to bring my truck in to fix an out of alignment front end. Chris was the tech who got me in out in very little time spent at the store. Driving home was a joy, as my truck was totally back in alignment. What a great feeling. I have brought my other car here for service and was treated just as good.

Made appointment they were friendly, prompt and made great effort in rotating my tires with installation package for no charge to me.Re: When I got home looked at the receipt they were supposed to balance the tires but I watched them and it wasnt done. They werent busy just didnt want to do it.

My son took his car in for 4 new tires. We were told the front struts needed to be replaced, the rear shocks and a control arm. $1400. We had the work done. Brought the car home. The next day it was making a thumping noise. Took it to our regular mechanic. He said to take it back to NTB either the struts were defective or installed wrong. We did this. We get a call, the guy says the mechanic forgot to tighten 3 bolts so we did that and then we found your axle boot was broken. What? There was nothing wrong with it 6 days ago when you were replacing everything else. Never again will we bring our cars there. Terrible workmanship. We are now paying our mechanic to fix the axle boot because we do not trust them. We do not recommend NTB for any repair work.

I take my cars here all the time for the following: purchase tires balance rotate alignment etc. Only once out of all the times I have been here did I have an issue with an alignment but it was due to the fact that my truck is lifted and they compensated wrong brought it back and they made good on it right away using a more experienced technician. I think these guys do a great job and I will continue to bring my business to them.There is one service manager who stands out the most and in my opinion who I believe is the best one they have very nice guy super honest and knowledgeable his name is Chris Carrell. If you come across him expect to be well taken care of.

So happy I decided to come here for a second opinion! Mike the manager was beyond helpful when I found a nail in my tire. My tires are less than a year old and this is the second nail in one of them. Next time I’ll opt for road hazard with my luck. Another garage down the street told me that it wasn’t repairable and that I needed 2 new tires on the spot. Mike was able to patch it and rotate my tires as well! All of the guys seemed friendly enough and I appreciate them taking care of me as I waited with my 3 kiddos. I’m beyond thankful that I didn’t need to purchase 2 new tires today even though I will be back to buy my tires from them because they werw honest and helped me out today. I’m beyond grateful for what they did. Joe was wonderful as well and told me not to hesitate to call if I needed anything. This is the type of service that makes you feel good about giving your business to. Two wonderful guys that made sure I was safe with myself and my kids! Thank you!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Been here shopping for tires. Prices are always higher than other places, so have had no reason to show up. Recently looking for batteries. Fought with a faulty website that took forever to add my vehicle because search fields with vehicle details wouldnt load. Then finally got that in, and searched for batteries, and no results on their website. They only do tires online?? The name of the place is National Tire & Battery.

Dont go there if you value your time and money. I had an oil change there..... Which took an hour and a half.... Most of that time the car was in the bay. Im guessing the reason it took so long is because they messed up my plug for the oil pan. They didnt tell me about this. I went to get new tires at another place the next day and they said I needed an oil change.... Apparently I had leaked out a good deal of oil after the change and was down 3 quarts. Very happy I had to get tires that day or my engine would have seized on my way to NJ the next day.As it was, I had to cancel my trip. NTB offered to fix my car for parts only, free of labor, since they were partially at fault. They estimated the cost of parts around $800-900. I didnt want them touching my car again and my regular mechanic was able to fix it for $186. Consider yourself warned. A simply oil change may result in a much bigger repair.

Appointments mean nothing. I had a 10:00am appointment for new tires. Vehicle was not brought into work area until after 12:15pm. I was told itd take a few hours when I scheduled my appointment. I didnt leave till almost 2:00pm. Had they started work at appointment time Id have been gone before noon. Unacceptable to take almost 4 hours.

I purchased 4 tires last month. Very good job. Written quote was reasonable and accurate when I returned to have the tires installed. They listen and did not push a sell on extras, or another brand tire. I returned in the next 2 weeks with a slow leak in one of the tires twice. They resealed one of the tires, then found a loose valve stem. (The valve stem problem was existing before the tires were installed.) Both visits were no charge and the wait was reasonable. I did have the oil changed and an inspection on one of the visits for a reasonable charge. The cool thing was the manager knew his tire and rim technical stuff AND could succinctly explain it to the customer. Why four stars and not five stars? I believe NTB could take the opportunity to jazz up/brighten up the sales floor to assist customers on basic car care. I would recommend NTB in Salem, NH.
