I’ve had such courteous and helpful service when shopping here! Most recent couple of visits, I’ve had very personalized assistance as Luke and the next time John led me around the store so I got exactly what I needed. Also making sure I got the best price for my items!! This is where I’ll keep coming for my office supplies!Just got off the phone with the manager Jackie as well. Super helpful. Its too bad Im forced to give 1 star. Absolutely worst customer service and professionalism. I will now take my business needs elsewhere and I will certainly share my experience with MANY more business partners. I will never return to any office depot and give them another penny of my money nor another minute of my time. I highly recommend anyone that has a horrible experience, call the corporate office and advise them since they dont get the opportunity to grow any other way.There were 4 items wrong priced on the shelf or the item itself. When addressed to the so called print manager that was helping me on the floor and the so called store manager Mark the answer was I can put the items back or the items were stocked incorrectly. As a customer, it is not my responsibility to check the UPC codes, tags or items to make sure they match the shelf. However, it is the responsibility of the store to stock properly or give the price listed as stocked. 4 items in 1 shopping trip purely shows negligent on the stores behalf. Not once did I get an apology for the experience, a resolve or great/ good customer service. Instead I got avoidance from the manager, a VERY long wait, a stressful experience, absolutely terrible attitude and shown I was a bother to customer service personnel that chose to work in the customer service field. Im flabbergasted people can be so rude when theyre in the wrong and its sad when the customer is more professional than the customer service representative.

I ordered postcards through another company for an event my company is hosting. However, I forgot to add the date of the event. I needed to find a quick solution. Lucky for me the Office Depot sales associate was able to assist me by printing small labels for our postcards. She made my week. Thank you!

The customer service here is amazing! Im able to email things I need printed and pick up later. The other day I had four grandkids with me because if the current situation I did not want to take the kids inside I called the store they found my print job and brought it out to me. I used to deal with their sister store in Lancaster but after being told I couldnt just email things to them anymore which was totally confusing since I had been doing it all along I switched to the South Salem store. I live in Keizer so its quit a drive but well worth the drive to get the excellent customer service. Im not talking a lot.of money here I email a sewing pattern every couple of weeks, however they treat me like Im their biggest account! Love it!

Mark Gerhard, the Sales Service Manager, went all out to provide customer service. We looked online for a file cabinet and located what we were looking for at the Liberty St. store. When we went in the cabinet was not there. Mark offered to drive to their warehouse and bring it back to us while we waited. Fortunately, a sales representative found the cabinet behind some other file cabinet boxes. Mark brought our cabinet out to our car- in the rain. We recommend this store and Mark Gerhard.

Building is an old 50s grocery store and smells like one too. Not where I would expect to find an electronics store. The whopper for me was that I was shopping around for a computer and even though the sales assistant saw me, they never came over to help. I ended up leaving and going to Staples in Keizer to buy my comp. OH! And theres a Best Buy in Salem!

This place is depressing, the parking lot is a ghost town. DO NOT buy anything expensive here, printers and furniture can be found online for nearly 40% cheaper. The people who work here are wonderful, but the company itself is entering hospice.

Looking for labels and stationary the packages are expensive and the same brands and designs as everywhere else. The toluc pens are pricey supposed to be the best, they ran out of ink or quit working quickly. I was surprised. Wont be buying those again, although very nice looking. Its not as easy to grab new go as you think, but the associates are warm and friendly. Thats why I gave a 3. They have a lot of stuff, but not a lot to choose from in stationary and labels. It would be nice to find single sheets or small packages of 5 or 10... Something like that even 12, but not 30,50 or 100.

I ordered an office chair online. It was delivered to me. I opened the box. The chair seat was torn. I called the next day to initiate a return for defective item. I was told that the carrier (Office Depot contracts these deliveries and pick ups out) would be there on Friday. I waited for the carrier. My husband had moved the large box to the bottom of our driveway in case there was a large truck that could not access our driveway. No one showed. On Monday, when I was not there, the carrier showed up and then contacted me subsequently. I arranged another date for pick up. The driver forgot to come to my address so they tried to set up another day. I asked them if someone else could pick it up. Another driver in the area came and picked it up, saying the company was a bit of a mess. So initiated return 12/7. Chair picked up 12/21. I have contacted Office Depot twice as I have still (as of 1/17) not received the significant refund for this chair. I was told on 1/17 they havent even received the chair. (But is this my fault? I dont have it. Their carrier has it.) Each time I call for a refund they say to refund my credit card will take 7-10 business days. Never mind that at Target or Lowes the refund is immediate---7 to 10 days?? At any rate, I wait and only after yet another 7-10 days do I find out NOTHING has happened and I am still missing my money. The credit card has already cycled once and I had to pay extra because I did not get the refund for the chair. I would never buy anything from them again other than maybe a notebook at a store. Do not buy anything to be shipped freight or you could be in for a new second job trying to get things straightened out when they have failed you.

The staff here is helpful....when someone is available. They are consistently understaffed; or so it feels. I often have to hunt down someone to help me or wait 10-20 minutes for someone to come back from break to help me at the copy center. They do a great job...it just requires work and patience on your part.

Great place for office supplies. With occasional killer deals on chairs. One caveat: when you buy electronics goods, beware their protection plan! You have to send off for the replacement, and you better have your receipt?

I really dont have office needs beyond new toner for the printer and a box of ball point pens on occasion, but when I do need something, this is the place I go in Salem. I like that I can complete my order entirely within Google Wallet, from the rewards card scan to the tap-to-pay checkout. Great.

The assistant store manager Don Streeter was not helpful at all. I was looking for a display of a filing cabinet that was not out and he refused to help me. It was a $60 product that he refused to pull out of the box to show me. When I asked what the return policy was, he said that if I were to attempt to return the item, he would not accept it as damaged. This is a great example of why Office Depots stock is only at $5.24.

I gave this a 3 star because I have had both good and bad experiences. Most recently, Casey was a good experience. He was very helpful and approached me to help. In the past, no one even acknowledges my presence or asks if I need any help.Way to go Casey. I hope your boss gets this review cause I just tried to call him but he was not available.

I have gone here twice to mail packages and they have always been very helpful. The first package, I just went here first. For the second package, I wanted to patronize the USPS, but they were so weird about how the package had to be before they could measure postage. I needed to include a receipt for reimbursement and they said I needed to tape the box up first and could not calculate postage until I did. So, since they were making it so challenging, I just went to Office Depot and they had the whole deal finished in 5 minutes. Unfortunately for USPS, I will probably be taking any packages straight to Office Depot in the future.

Its unfortunate that Office Depot hires incompetent and rude employees, and allows such unprofessional behavior to take place in a working environment. It blows my mind that they would hire such a complete jerk, Dan and title him customer service manager . I feel like im being pranked everytime I have to deal with him especially. I cant believe Office Depot was so desperate for a manager that he represents the face of Customer Service, hes more suited for Retention and making sure customers remember why they never want to give their business to this location again !

Horrible service.The staff look as if they would like to be anywhere else. They ignore customers standing right in front of them. Their work was painfully slow and they failed to correctly deliver the single service I paid for.How they remain in business is a mystery to me.

Called them up to see if they had a tablet. They did. The girl said they had many in stock and I ask to put it on hold. 3 hours later I came to pick it up. Ask the front desk and they said they dont put stuff on hold. And to top it all off there were no more in stock. I dont recommend this store.

I went into the store on 11-13-15 and purchased some items two of which happened to be 2 boxes of power banks for cell phones at $15.00 each. When I got home I noticed that I was charged for 3 boxes and immediately went back to the store and spoke with the woman that rang me up she stated that she would not have made a mistake and basically called me a liar. I asked to speak with the manager and was told that the manager was unavailable . I called the store the following Monday to speak with the manager and AGAIN the manager was unavailable, I left a phone number asking for a return call and did not get one . I made a third and final attempt at calling and was told that the manager would return my call and SURPRISE I am still waiting. Be VERY careful if you go in this store .

This place is amazing. Office Depot/OfficeMax in general frankly. Every time I have had the misfortune to be in a position of hoping they have something I need they either dont have it or it is so absurdly overpriced or is an older model etc. I am shocked in many ways that this location is still in business as they never seem to have many customers yet are overstaffed with employees that are too busy doing zilch to help or even notice me. I suppose the overstaffing explains the overpricing. I could CEO this place and the O. D. company in general far better than whoever is doing it now. These stores need to be leaned down, stocked with better selection and they need excersises in maximizing real estate. With all the wasted space spent on low profit items they would do far better by simply dumping 30% of the stale march and turn themselves into more of a modern tech friendly place. Think Best Buy meets Staples with a sprinkle of Amazon thrown in for good measure. (Easy order kiosks on non store items, self-pay checkouts, new product suggestion votes etc) companies like OD are doomed to bankruptcy unless they begin a fluidity to rapid change that is the norm with todays ever changing consumer and business needs. For one thing companies would do wise to not allow themselves to be pigeonholed into a particular business range. In other words, a competitive priced item will sell weather it is on/at OD OR walmart/frys/Amazon. Just because you are an office store shouldnt stop you from selling a range of profitable items IN STORE AND ONLINE that are hot and in demand rather than so much dusty low profit large furniture items that can easily be showcased on a kiosk and ordered/sent directly to a business customer while having more space for high profit items like expanded mobile device accessories and gaming/VR etc which is selling much faster and in demand.
