I made an appointment for a Lasik consultation. I was SO excited to finally be able to see with out contacts or glasses. I had a corneal ulcer 5 years ago and was told that I may be a great candidate for lasik after my eye healed. I have had other consultations where they said, ‘yep, we can help you ASAP! Pay this amount, show up tomorrow and you’ll be as good as new.’ It all sounded too good to be true. This business actually told me NO. They would not do the procedure due to the risks associated for me. I am very bummed (not their fault!) but I am thankful that they were more interested in my health and vision than just taking my money. They gave me information for a specialist and wished me good luck - even asked me to keep them posted. Bad news for me but great experience with professional and caring staff.

My experience was terrific-The person rooming me was very personable. Ive not been to the eye dr in like 15 years, so it was all basically new to me. Felt comfortable, felt heard regarding my vision, and options were explained to me plainly. I had to get glasses (gasp!) and both the tech that helped me choose and the tech that adjusted my glasses when they came in were knowledgable and kind. See you next year!

I came to dr stice to get lasik. I was more excited than nervous to finally be able to see after being so blind for as long as I can remember. The day of my procedure I was super nervous, but the nurses and dr stice made me feel so calm and reassured. If I could go back and get lasik again I would. I’m almost 3 weeks post op and am still in denial that I’m seeing clearly without contacts. I am so happy with my results and coming here I def recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it

I was pleased that I got in for my appointment within a few minutes of the scheduled time. All employees I came in contact with were polite. I saw everyone following the current guidelines for safety regarding the Covid-19 Virus. I was even more pleased that the doctor was honest with me and told me I didnt actually need a new prescription. Overall the experience was a good one.

Very friendly, efficient staff. Dr. Paluska is very competent. Ive had a yearly exam there for over a decade since returning to the Salem area.

Today I bent my glasses at work the lens fell out and the nosepiece was detached along with scratched lenses and the frames were shaped as a pretzel. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and Lindsey was able to repair my glasses on the spot so I could use them. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Highly recommend !!

Therible, Was referred by my Retina DR. who made some notes on my chart and sent if over to this office..Never received a call so contacted them. Gal found the referral in my file and made an appointment to see the recommended DR.Did not see the Dr. yet but was examined and checked for proper prescription by someone else, with only a first name.After he finished and I had described my last prescription problem with bifocal part he left the room and I sat alone for a very long time, guessing nearly 25 minutes.Finally Dr. came in and talked to me for about 3 to 5 minutes, looked into the interior of my eyes with the lens and strong light, mumbled a couple of things to the scribe person he brought with him. Got up and left for a few minutes and came back with my new prescription and left.I did too and after looking at the prescription, started to realize I didnt recall being examined for my bifocal RX though there were some numbers on the paper for that. My original complaint.After a few days, I attempted to call the DR. part of this large, multi office outfit and found there were no numbers ro that office.In desperation I called the number for the dispenser office located in the same building in S Salem as the DR. and left a message.Later got a call from the dispensers office and explained my questionHow did I have a RX for bifocal with no recall of being examined for that.Said would send the info to the actual DR..Now a week later and no contact from him or that office.Not the first disappointing treatment form these folks.Have another exam appointment in the morning with different DR.Wish me luck.

The service is very friendly, courteous, and professional ... once you get in. The waiting time is not acceptable for me, even if I understand the need for some waiting so that the clinics resources are not wasted by waiting for customers. If you think that it is reasonable to wait more than 1/2 hour for each of two visits then give them more stars than I did.

I love the Liberty St Office!! I have been a very pleased customer for about 25 years.

I was scheduled for my regular eye exam, and on arrival, was told I was being seen for glaucoma concerns, and I said, Ive never been told I had any concerns about that. I honestly was thinking they had me mixed up with another patient, but the Receptionist insisted it was for me. She than proceeded to ask me for my Medical insurance. Anothe red flag as I have good Vision coverage, and that too was the first time I was ask for that. I had not been seen for about 2 years, as we had moved away, and had a eye exam where we had moved to. No concerns about glaucoma there either. So I had my normal exam, and now just got my bill, and my medical was billed, not my vision. So I am now concerned as the charge was much higher than my normal eye exam. Which I will have to cover as I have a high deductible, that is no where close to being met. I have vision coverage for this reason. I will be calling the office to question this, as I was not aware this wasnt a routine exam. Than upon leaving the office, no one offered to show me glasses or frame selection, let alone acknowledge me. The office was empty too.This was my first visit in their new office.As for Dr Stice, he is wonderful, has been my eye Dr for years. Im just concerned now, wondering why all the sudden...glaucoma concerns, which I do not have, and why this was billed to my medical, instead of my vision. Im sure hoping its not all about the money.

Dr. Stice has provided excellent eye care for years and weve been so pleased. He is personal and our visits are like with a friend. He remembers us and is always interactive on a professional and personal basis. My latest visit was for what turned out, a condition that required a referral to a retina specialist. I saw Dr. Stice on a Monday am and the retina specialist the next day at 8:30 and as it turned out, surgery two weeks later. Great service by both and a lot goes to the personal caring assistance from their support staffs.

Love the great customer service, polite professionals, smooth scheduling and appointments, and diagnostic skill. Highly recommended.

Everything was great & easy, the only issue would be when setting appointments make sure we understand that for a procedure you will have a consultation first. I went to my appt. Thinking I would be having my procedure that day only to find out it was just a consultation.

This young man was professional, personable and knew what he was doing.

Terrible customer service, the automatated asnwering machine doesn’t connect you to a human person unless you want to schedule and appointment. I don’t own checks because they are stupid and can’t pay over the phone. It’s a real hassle dealing with these people.

Dr. Paluska is wonderful! I always feel like I’m in good hands when I see him for routine eye exams. He’s always been on time and is really respectful, attentive and he listens to concerns. One time I scratched my eye in my sleep and had to come in for an emergency appointment. He was about to leave for the day but squeezed me in so that I didn’t have to go the whole weekend wondering what was wrong with my eye.The rest of the staff has always been great too! It’s always a great experience going to the optometrist!

I had a routine eye exam several weeks ago and a visit to replace a nose piece to my glasses. both visits were prompt and efficient. There were no surprises and no complaints. Carry on.

All in all this was a very clean modern Eye care facility. This is not my first visit to this office. So, this review is also for a diagnosis in the past. The service is prompt, professional, with pleasant competent employees. My diagnosis was very correct and the treatment was very effective. I also came for a routine I exam. The spectacle prescription was perfect. When I got my glasses, my vision was perfect. There is technology that will look inside the eye without the need to dilate the eye. That technology was available at their sister facility, but not the facility at 2001 Commercial St. SE. so, I had the discomfort of having my eyes dilated for an exam. Also, the glasses frames are very expensive here. I bought my frames online and took them to another facility to have the lenses put in. If this facility had the technology to look inside my eyes without dilating and if this facility had competitive prices for frames, I would’ve given it five stars instead of just four. I must admit that it is difficult to get a five star rating out of me. I’m very particular. I definitely recommend this facility and Dr. Paluska. Just be prepared for sticker shock when you look at the glesses frames here. And, if you want an eye exam without having to experience the discomfort of eye dilation, just ask to have the exam at their liberty Road office.

Needed to do an ER follow up for my husband, and was directed to this office by the ER doctor.The representative that I worked with over the phone at Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons went above and beyond.We set up a follow up appointment same day.After we ended our call, the representative called me back to explain my husbands insurance was not accepted at their location, and apologized. Explained how she wanted me to be aware the follow up would be out-of-pocket if we were to keep the appointment.She did not want us to be caught off guard, and was sure to have suggestions on what to do next.Despite not going here, I am highly satisfied with the scheduler I worked with, and would highly recommend just based on that professional encounter.Thank you!

As far as my appointment, everything went well. Where things fell apart was trying to get my surgery scheduled. It took ~ a month and a half to get it scheduled because of my inability to contact the scheduler. I would leave messages that werent returned in a timely manner, if at all. I was finally able to schedule the surgery 2 weeks ago and was told that I would receive info in the mail from them as well as contact from the surgery center regarding time of procedure, etc. As of today, neither of those things has happened, so I called to cancel and told them I would go elsewhere, and it didnt seem to bother the scheduler at all. No apology or attempt to rectify the situation at all. I will not be returning to them.

I have been a patient of Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons for several years.They always treat me well. Dr Paluska does my MS exam every year. Dr Bingham did my eyelid surgery. It went so quickly - I was impressed.i would recommend Eye Care Physicians to anyone looking for an Optometrist or other professionals in that field. They have 2 locations in South Salem and 1 in Keizer.

Today was the first time I ever stepped foot into a ophthalmology office. If all vision specialists are similar or even remotely close to this place, then I will probably be blind before I am 60. The quality of the doctor that examined my eyes at this establishment (Robert M. Paluska, OD) was absolutely horrible! I am not here to bash anyone, I am here to save any other poor unsuspecting soul from the same circus show I experienced. It was so bad I am even in touch with my insurance. I advised them of the situation and for them not to pay for my visit . Which by the way only lasted less then 5 minutes! This place has many other doctors and my advice to anyone who must go here to stay clear of Robert M. Paluska. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!

This was my first visit to your new location on Commercial. My Eye Caresurgeon is Dr . Stice. He restored my vision in my one good eye way backin 2006. A fix that has served me well ever since. He is my Hero!My recent appointment went smoothly through the reception desk andwith the dilation process and thru the exam with Dr. Stice. Im scheduledfor 2/3/2021 for my next appt with Dr. Stice. Theyre cruel. We can hear them talking about us at there desks while waiting. They eat pizza instead of helping customers. The wait is 2+ hours. They overcharge and try to charge even more when they think we werent paying attention. I will make a complaint to whatever medical jurisdiction they fall under. They need to be shut down.

Im going back for a 3rd time to try and get my prescription right. The techs conduct the entire prescription exam and the doctor checks your eyes for overall eye health. I couldnt believe that the doctor didnt check to make sure that the prescription was accurate. Very disappointing!
