I went in to get new ski boots for the season. I knew I needed a boot to patrol in and go in the backcountry with. The young woman, I never got her name, was extremely knowledgeable about the boots I was trying on. After doing an initial scan of my feet, she brought out some boots for me to try and knew which one I would want to buy in the end. She was kind enough to let me try on a bunch of boots as my knowledge was certainly lacking in how different manufactures make their boots. By the end of the session, she was doing an excellent job helping another person out along with me. I had tried on about 5 or six pairs and the pair I am buying is one of the first she brought out. She was knowledgeable about how boots should fit different parts of the foot and how to modify a boot for a good fit. I am really happy with the experience I had.

So very happy with Sports Den and JJ! My Volkyl powder skis needed new bindings and they made it all happen. I will always buy and rent my skis there. Also, they have great ski apparel there too.I have purchased a Kona Coco bike there too and very happy with it.

The associate helping me was proactive and extremely helpful in getting the boots heat molded to my feet and fit to my ski bindings. Very best experience Ive had at a ski shop. One of my feet is slightly larger then the other and they customized it so that I had a great fit.Today I got my daughter a whole new setup and myself new boots. I always try to go to Sports Den for new ski gear. The employees are knowledgeable about the gear. They are incredibly helpful with making a good decision, based on your performance goals.It can be really busy on weekends, but if you have a bit of patience you will be helped.

We reserved and rented two pairs of skis. The man who rented us the skis was very friendly, but unfortunately we reserved performance skis and they did not have any available when we got there. I reserved the skis weeks in advance, so I would have expected some warning if they were out of the product. If they had better customer service, they would have offered a demo ski at the same price as the performance ski, but they did not. Instead, we walked out with their basic rental.

The staff here is really great and helpful. I got fitted for new boots and the guy helping me had a lot of knowledge and patience for getting the right boot fit and helped me learn how to prevent my feet from fatiguing so fast. They’re a great store with a wide variety of high quality gear and apparel, both ski and bike season.

I’ve been snowboarding for the last 20 years and wanted to get back into skiing. Went in and Curtis took good care of me. Got me into some sweet Fischer boots. My wife has bought alpine and touring setups there, happy with both. They do great work. Highly recommend.

I bought a new bike here and while their bike department isn’t “expansive” per se, the inventory they do have is all pretty choice (quality over quantity). Beyond finding a rad bike that was virtually impossible to find, they really went above and beyond helping me get set up and dialing it in. THEN when I had a (minor) issue on my first ride on it, I took it back and they took real good care of me. Guys in the bike shop are knowledgeable, friendly and good at what they do. Highly recommend.

Great place with great people who take pride in what they do. This is the only place I will take my skis for repair and tuning and the only place I will go for boot fitting. And the great thing is, you dont really pay any more for the service you receive.

Came here for my husband’s first pair of ski boots and had a fantastic experience (after visiting lots of other ski shops in Park City and SLC that did not even compare). We worked with Mark, who was such an expert and helped fit him in the perfect pair of boots. My husband said his first day on the slopes in the new boots was his best day of skiing to date! I’m a beginner and wasn’t ready to buy boots yet, but decided to get some custom foot beds to put in my rentals and, again, they took such good care of me. The shop is family owned and you can just tell they really care about their customers. We felt right at home! They even shared an awesome list of local restaurants with us. We have come back to Sports Den for all our equipment needs while in SLC... and I can’t imagine going anywhere else when I’m ready to buy boots for myself. Love, love, love!!!

Musky is an exceptional boot fitter and his customer service was great. I never felt rushed and his commitment to making sure I had the best boot and fit was second to none. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

Curtis did a spectacular job of fitting me with ski boots, and even after he customized the fit for my weird feet, I still got our the door spending less than I anticipated. He was more interested in getting me into boots that fit right and were right for me than in selling me the most expensive pair he could. I will be back. They deserve the high rating they have.

My go-to shop in Salt Lake. Bought some bindings and they were perfectly mounted in a short time frame during one of the busiest weeks of the season. They have previously done work on skis for me and their prices and quality have always been solid.

I was floored at how courteous, fast, and reasonably-priced they were! I went to mount some tele bindings and was shot-down by 6 other businesses (even REI) who stated they couldnt because they wouldnt buy a jig to fit the tele-pattern on the bindings. Kevin at Sports Den told me, I have that jig at home and Ill bring it in for you. The mounting was less than itd have been elsewhere and they threw in a free wax too, and finished in a week. I will be back, and they have my business from now on!

Sports Den has been our winter sporting good store of choice ever since my kids started alpine ski racing over 10 years ago.

I bought a pair of high performance Fischer RC4 boots from The Sports Den late last season. I knew the boot I wanted and didnt ask for fitting advice, after all its a vacuum boot right. Ugh, the boot was precise, but totally uncomfortable. A couple days ago I went back, hat in hand, and asked for a proper fitting. It took two visits, a re-vacuuming and a liner cutting but today was bliss. I could not be happier!

The folks at sports den were wonderful - they all made sure we were completely comfortable with how our purchase ( an electric bike ) worked - we felt well served. They gave us an invitation to come back for one free tune up - due to the nature of the bike chain stretching

The team at Sports Den was so supportive. I’ve been taking my bike and my daughters’ bikes for seasonal tuneups each year and just purchased my kids’ adult mountain bikes today. They allowed us to test ride without any sales pressure and Tyler the technician shared candid and helpful opinions, which I appreciated, and didn’t try to up sell. They even put the bikes on hold for us while we made our decision.

As I was leaving the bike came back, and they scrambled to clean it and run through it so I could take it out for a ride! Even gave me a discount for the bike not being super clean. I love sports den and have been a loyal customer for years. The ski staff is tip top. However the store is hard to visit now because of their practices around covid. I was there twice lately to drop off my skis for start of season tuning and then to pick up. On both occasions, staff members were either wearing their masks below noses or just not at all. Come on people, you are ambassadors for the ski life and should do better to convey to tourists and locals alike that Slc and ski folks are taking Covid seriously. Very disappointed and likely to take my skis elsewhere and that makes me really sad.

Sports den is the best in the business when it comes to working on ski’s and ski boots. Ski boot technology has changed so much over the years and a correct fitting boot is the most important thing when it comes to performing and enjoying a day on the mountain and sports den will get you taken care of! Yes, you will pay retail prices for your boots (most of the time), but the boot fitting and adjustments that come with the boot will outweigh the extra cost you may pay upfront. They will take care of you when you buy the boots and after to help make any needed adjustments. Other places will charge you per adjustment and for the initial custom fittings.

I had the greatest experience shopping for new ski boots at Sports Den! They came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I got to see why. They listened to what I was looking for, used their high-tech machines to measure my feet, and selected boots within my fit and price range for me to try on. They were friendly and patient all along the way.I had shopped at REI for ski boots prior to Sports Den, and did not have nearly as much attention in my boot selection as I was able to have here- this kind of customer service seems reserved for the smaller companies like Sports Den. Great experience working with Curtis. My wife has been struggling for years to find a solution to her boot pain. 3 previous attempts at finding the right boot. Curtis was patient and attentive to her issues and ultimately landed her in the right boot. While at an out of state race at Snowbird, my son had some boot buckles break in the middle of the trip. We visited three shops and got some a little help at one of them, but mostly all we got were blank stares. We were running out of options when we finally arrived at Sports Den. Not only were they able to help us, they immediately understood our situation and had empathy for how passionate a competitive teenage ski racer can be and how vital high performance gear is to their sport. They were the only shop we could find that had both the knowledge and the spare parts in stock to help us. They were kind and attentive and kept letting us know they were working on it. We didnt care, as long as it was fixed by morning! While we were waiting, we watched a few other customers get the same treatment and leave happy. From rental through top end race gear, the shop team delivered! This shop is head and shoulders above the ones in my home town. Alpine race gear is specialized and there is not much retail demand for it, a lot of shops steer clear. These guys had the gear and know about the sport. That is rare.
