Couldnt get my car done, reason they were too busy, they did warn me about it and they said will try to squeeze me in . Overall that shop has good service, and great mechanics, didnt have enough time to get all done myself, but will be back next month.

I wont even give then one star. Crooks!! Stay away! They did more damage than they did good and plus charged way too much for the job they did not counting the damage they caused. Pretty bad when a company creates more damage than good

Took my van to get an estimate on some work to another shop and received a quote of close to 5k. Called AAMCO to get a second opinion, they were able to get my info and concerns, towed my van, (FREE of charge!) to their shop since I didnt have anyone to watch my daughter while I dropped van off, etc. I was very surprised, its rare to find a company that goes out of their way to do these things for customers nowadays. They called me next day to let me know what the problem was and gave me a quote of half the amount the other place was. It was a huge blessing!! I was so relieved. Money is tight right now! After a couple of days, they called and said vehicle was ready. I wasnt able to pick up van until next day so they offered to pick me up and take me shop themselves that same day! Who does that?! They do!! Christian and CJ were awesome. They were very respectful, didnt make me feel uncomfortable and the whole process was taken care of smoothly and professionally. I am very grateful to them! Blessings to them, their families and those they take care of on a daily basis. When you do good, you receive good! Thank you guys!!

This facility went above and beyond for me and my vehicle. Ive never been to a shop where they actually do something nice for you for free, they ordered a new windshield washer fluid reservoir and is going to install it free of charge. I almost cried when they called and and said maam we just want to do some nice for you and do(install) this part free of charge I just about cried. When I mean NO SHOP has ever gone above and beyond like them I truly mean it. They are excellent people and excellent and wonderful mechanics there. My mechanic Raul who worked on my vehicle was absolutely wonderful and I pray he sees this review also. Mr. Jeff I want to say a special thank you to you as well you also went above and beyond calling around for the best prices.Raul, my mechanic that worked on my vehicle as well as everyone there that assisted or helped in any way, you all went above and beyond and Im so thankful. 6 visits. 6 visits and it’s still not fixed, and knowing they would still charge me a diagnostic fee when they know the treatment they are going to do (because they worked on it 5 times before) is just too much. Rude service from the mechanics, I can’t believe this is a “trusted partner” with my warrantee. So disappointed.

Wanted to charge 5,580 to replace a part for a transmission. 880 for them to tell me what was wrong with it. Props for having a financial payment plan, but prices are ridiculous. Take yr vehicle somewhere else. The owners excuse is this is his Dads buisness and it’s always been like that. He doesn’t make up the rules.

While visiting family in San Antonio, we had transmission issues on our Armada. We were 1,000 miles from home and are so thankful we found this shop. Christian Powell was incredibly helpful. He handled ALL of the calling and paperwork needed to work with our extended warranty company. He made sure our car was fixed properly, during a holiday, and ready for us to drive home. We can’t say enough about how well we were treated and the quality work they did for us!!

These guys went above and beyond to source some hard to find steering parts for my old Bronco. Christian and C.J. were easy to deal with and kept me informed every step of the way. *****BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY*****They greet you with a smile and make promises they never keep. I had them check on why our company trucks transmission would slip 1 1/2 years ago, they said my transmission needed to be rebuilt and it came with a 2 year 24k mile warranty. Not even a month later the transmission started having the same issues so we brought it back to them for warranty repairs. You would figure since they never repaired it properly the 1st time the 24k mile warranty would reset to the mileage when we brought it back in, if you think that you are completely WRONG! our transmission continues to leak fluid and slips but they refused to repair it due to truck being over the 24K mile warranty. This is not the only repair they did for us in the past on this same vehicle, we had them replace a leaking valve cover gasket that they claimed they found during one of their inspections, also a complete cooling system flush and refill. Our coolant is always running low and oil is leaking from the valve.cover worse then before, so we took it somewhere else for a second opinion. They found our valve cover not tightened, bolts were easily removed by hand, transmission pan gasket was bad and leaks, transmission overdriver solenoid and sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. Everyone has the fear of being taken advantage of when going to a mechanic shop, trust us when we say that this shop is one of them. They repair items and not do a complete repair so you bring your vehicle back, over and over again. We will repost this on our company website and on our company facebook to let EVERYONE know to avoid going to AAMCO!

I called them during closing and set up an appointment the next morning to bring my car in to go through their free diagnostic services. Because I had to work before they officially opened Christopher offered to meet me early and give me a ride to work. They did the diagnostic in the morning did not find anything wrong with my a/c then went through the whole process again later in day when it was hot and said they wish they could offer some service to me but didnt find anything still. We suspect my little Honda fit engine just struggles in the high San Antonio heat and I should take measures to tint the windows. Its great to find a truly honest service provider who also have truly free diagnostics!

I was told about this place from a buddy of mine and let me say i received the best customer service ive ever received from a mechanic shop. They called me to give me updates on my truck along with options and avenues to take with it. I am a single parent and have my kiddo full time and when my truck was ready they came in my truck to pick us up! Had the truck back a few days now and i have zero complaints besides i shouldve noticed sooner that my trans was going bad. AAMCO will forever have my business now

The Center Managers CJ and Christian are amazing. As a female it’s hard to find an automotive shop that won’t take advantage of someone who knows absolutely nothing about vehicles. I have a 2018 bmw 4 series and my transmission had no reverse. They always made sure to call me and let me know exactly what was going on with my vehicle and they kept my anxiety to a minimum. I can’t recommend this Aamco enough. Their technicians are knowledgeable and competent when it comes to working on foreign cars and they definitely proved it. Thank you again CJ and Christian!

Christian was very helpful. This place had my car towed(they arrived quickly, very professional), diagnosed, and repaired in a matter of days! Truly awesome of them. Also they, stayed in constant contact /communications. Called me when my car arrived safely to the shop, got a call when to expect a diagnosis, call for the cost to look under the hood, cost of repairs, etc. They kept me in the loop every step of the way. They even informed me of their finance options. My car shifts like a dream, I thank them for the work they did. My 2016 Chevrolet 1500 transmission went out and they made sure to call me everyday to update me on the status of my vehicle. This place is woke. While waiting on my own service, I listened while the manager explained to another couple exactly what was wrong and why their repair needed to be done. They had come in for brake work, but also had a bad front bearing and it seemed like they didnt understand. While this (more expensive) repair might have seemed like an up sell, it was necessary for the vehicle. He wasnt pushy. He explained the repair in way they could understand and was very polite. The couple left happy, and my service also went as planned. I do a lot of my own work, but highly recommend this place for jobs I cant or wont do!

If I could give this Shop a 0 that’s what it would get. Do not take your vehicle there. Christian said the diagnostics was free but then when I got there all of a sudden it was 899 for an engine check which he didn’t even perform an engine check all he did was takeoff the oil pan. Christian Manipulated and pressured me into doing a job that I was not sure about doing when he first told me that it would be 899 just to do an engine check then I told him no that was too expensive he call me back and said well I found $100 coupon online and I can do it for 799.I was still very hesitant but I felt like I was at his mercy when I decided to pick up my truck he wanted to charge me $235 just for taking off the oil pan. How do you go form $899 to $235!! Just a bad experience overall when someone says no in the beginning that means No.

Drove 600 miles with a noisy transmission and these guys went to work on it when I got there. Straight up about what’s wrong, what’s needed and what’s not, and got the work done timely. Christian coordinated the whole thing and all the techs were on it. You want your car fixed? Take it to a shop. You want it fixed right? Take it to AAMCO on NW 410!

My husbend took his vehicle in, they charge him even when they wrecked his vehicle by not putting a stopper behind is vehicle, it took off and hit other cars parked but they new he didnt have insurance on it cause it wasnt running thats why he was haven it fixed, but instead charge him 5,000 dollars and since it home all wrecked they have no shame!! Sincerely very upset customer!!

I go way back with this AAMCO center. The owner and his guys have been taking care of my vehicles since 1998. I always feel like they treat me like family. I can remember when all they did was transmissions and nothing else. A few years later they work on the complete car and at reasonable prices. Like I said loyal customer and wouldnt go anywhere else.

I took my car here 2 weeks ago for a FREE diagnostics, Christian calls me to tell me it came back with 3 codes he didn’t even know what they were so they were going to have to get into my engine and what was supposed to be FREE will cost me $190 to do so. So of course wanting to know what it wrong with my car I go ahead and pay just to be told the next day nothing is wrong with my car and of course you would think that was great news but a week later my car has just gotten worse so I took it somewhere else and come to find out that there is something wrong with it and Aamco/Christian lied and didn’t even go into my engine like they said they were going to do. Maybe because I’m a female they figured they could take advantage of me which is just not right at all! Don’t go here!!!! Well at least not if you’re female going on your own. I would give no stars if it would let me!

This is a great place to bring your vehicle in for service. They are honest and value their customers. Mr. Rick kept me informed the whole time my Nissan Maxima was in the shop. He very well explained to me the issues with my car and broke the information down for me to understand what was going on. This place replaced my transmission back in February and did an amazing job! Mr. Tim and Mr. Sean were the guys at the front desk that keep me informed of my transmission. And again they broke down the information for me to understand the issues with my car. So my experience with this Aamco was very interesting, it did start out rough only because of my situation, my warranty company was giving me the run around, but then when Christian got wind of how frustrated I was he took the situation by the horns and stayed on top of the situation and kept me updated. This business did give me a sense of relief and overall they fixed the problem the that I had concerns about. This business is very professional even when I wasn’t being the most understanding person. This place is covid ready, I saw them constantly wiping door handles and doors. They wiped my car before ever getting into it and then again before returning it to me. They do have the waiting room closed though. The did a great job fixing my Nissan and picked me up when it was done. I could not ask for more

Quality mechanics fixed 2 water leaks from water pump (cheap plastic broken), an oil leak I didn’t see because it was collecting in the road guard pan under engine, and changed transmission fluid (routine scheduled maintenance). My 2012 Chevy Cruze is a great car with a few weak points and these guys knew exactly how to address the issues. Trustworthy team of experts, Affordable and Fair pricing, and Highly Knowledgeable and willing to share technical details to put my mind at ease about the excellent care. 10/10 will bring all my vehicles here as long as I’m in San Antonio!!!

This is a great place to have any work done on any vehicle. My experience here was outstanding. Being a single mom with two young children I think it is important that you can feel comfortable taking your only vehicle to a repair shop. The service was more than I ever expected and the cost was a lot less than the other transmission shop that made nervous. My van is working better than it ever has.

My vehicle was fixed quickly and I haven’t had issues since. The manager was very courteous and I appreciated him taking the time to explain the work that was being done. Definitely recommend!!

Very nice and friendly people work here. My truck transmission quit working and they towed it in for me. After they figured out what was wrong they told me how much and what needed to be done to get it back on the road. I liked the price and their honesty so I told them to go ahead and do it. That was last year and the transmission is still working perfect.

I really liked this place. The staff was very helpful and understanding about my situation. I was a few hundred miles out of my factory warranty and Nissan refused to help me. They helped make a bad situation a little more bearable. They got my Nissan up and running in a very short time and gave me a pretty nice price for the rebuilt transmission.

Repeatedly lied to about transmision Was told need a rebuild and light was coming on when car was was incline Asked for a new transmision Vehicle transmission rebuilt Was told its as good as a new transmision Still same issue overheating on incline car temperature fine just transmision over heating diagnostic says need to change fluids more money down the drain transmision overheating finaly Austin location finds a thermal coupling changes it and works fine for just a small time then again Transmision overheats took to amco told them they need to check thermal coupling and diagnostic says change fluid they would not check thermal coupling more money down the drain vehicle not overheating running at regular temp but transmision cooler not working now the transmision is down for the count and amco will not live upto the warranty Waranty should be sufficed and they should take total responsibility down thousands of dollars Heve this warning

This is a the best place in San Antonio to get transmission repairs. They are informative, fair and friendly. Best of all they do quality work. My car has not shifted this good since I bought it new. I am recommending them to everyone.

I went into this location with my Aunt to get her car looked at. The manager Tony and his assistant jacob were the most professional and courteous and have the best customer service. While sitting in the lobby I am not sure if it was the owner or the general manager above Tony and Jacob was so disrespectful and I have never heard anyone talk down onto people like Tony and Jacob. I would recommend all of my family and friends to come to this AAmco but to make sure they def speak to Tony or Jacob if they still happen to work there after the verbal abuse those guys went through.
