I was way over due for an eye exam but had to find somewhere they accepted my insurance. The staff at Eyetx were friendly, helpful and got me in and out with no problems. Estella at the front is a great attitude and helped me pick my new pair of glasses. Doctor Elder was friendly and helped me understand what we were looking at in the eye exam. I purchased a pair of glasses at this store on 3/31/21 and was informed that the glasses would be mailed to my house in approx 1 week bc I live out of town. I paid $600 and some change at that time. I called and ordered 2 boxes of contacts that I wore for a week on a trial basis on 4/6/21. I paid $150 on the phone that day. Again, I was told the contacts would be shipped to my address. Today is 4/15/21 and Im out $750 approx and still have no glasses or contacts! I was told on Monday 4/12/21 that both the contacts and the glasses were accidently shipped to the store (the glasses had been in the store since the previous Thursday), but would be sent by over night mail on that Monday. It is 4/15/21, no package received. The office staff, as well as, the manager,, are incompetent and lack empathy and compassion!

This was my first pick when I finally found out what benefits I had and they did not disappoint. They are super friendly and very patient and have the best eye equipment. They are extremely knowledgeable about any questions you could have about your eyes, insurance and the different options they provide with glasses and/or contacts. Atascosa Eye has been my only eye doctor and service till today. Since the switch to new owners, Eyetx, they no longer take my insurance. Two days ago they called asking for my insurance information. They never moved the my information into their new system. Thus, they never checked my insurance plan, so 80 miles round trip later I get the news that my insurance is no longer accepted. One question, you had the information and never saved me a trip, why?

The Doctor was great. I would recommend getting and eye exam. I felt safe and the office was clean. The staff did a good job of cleaning before and after I used the equipment. I would not order glasses it took four weeks for me to receive my glasses. I was often placed on hold for 15 to 20 minutes when I called to check on the status of my glasses. I am sorry we are very busy was the excuse I was give every time I called. I have had my eye exam her before. This is the first and last time I will order glasses. They were very expensive. Because of COVID I did not want to have to visit another place to order my glasses. I ordered them here. Four weeks is a long time to wait. I was told 10 to 14 days.

I generally refuse to go to male doctors because they more often than not have this god complex and don’t listen well to female patients but Dr. Elder was very nice and didn’t have that attitude at all. He seemed very genuine and I feel he took time with my appointment and didn’t rush me through like my previous doctor. The whole staff was very nice. When I first called to ask if they took my insurance but I spoke with Stella (?) and she was very patient and kind and helped me out. Everything seemed clean, everyone was masked, and they seemed to be onboard with the recommended covid precautions. Would recommend.

I use to enjoy coming here every year to get my eyes checked out, plus they were always very communicative. But today I had an appt at 11am, showed up at 10:48. No greeting,no nothing, just that we will be with you in a moment. Waited and waited filled out other paperwork and was still holding onto it until I decided to leave at 11:37am.But when an older lady came in and they greeted her, and ask her if why was she here, she had an appointment and then i got to see her get seen before me. If the doctor was getting behind on schedule at least have the respect and communicate to the patients that the doctor is running a bit longer than expected to please bare with us...... because if not whats the point of having an appointment if Im going to be waiting there for over an hour...

Purchased my glasses (frames and lenses) with them back in December. Left a voicemail to address my issue never was called back so I stopped inWhatever coating was used is horrible. One lens is badly scratched while the other is fine. Took glasses in to have issue fixed and was told I’d have to purchase an additional warranty if I want them to fix their poor quality of product. I will take my business somewhere else since they want to force a customer to pay for a warranty that’s not necessary when it can be clearly seen the coating work they did is horrible. Lost a customer who has been with them for at least 5 yrs.

I spent like $800 on a pair of Ray-Bans broke within 6 months right in the center and they said it was covered under warranty but then wasnt and couldnt help me cuz frames were discontinued, waste of money here!

Had an amazing experience at this office today. They were able to correct a poor prescription that I was given and now with what they gave me, I can see SO much better!The office staff was incredibly kind and helpful, they answered my questions and helped sort out a weird insurance issue I was having. I had zero wait time and they kept me informed the entire time about what was going on. They even gave me several free bottles of an expensive contact solution that I use just as a nice gesture.The doctor was extremely helpful in explaining everything to me (the brand of contacts I was in dont come in the correct prescription, thats why its been blurry, getting me in updated prescription with new brand, etc.) and answering all of my questions. He encouraged me to keep coming back as many times as I need if the prescription is off. He answered my questions about my astigmatism, potential for Lasik, and how my vision will continue to change as I age.Super helpful staff, clean office, no wait time at all. I loved this office and will definitely be returning!

On November 22, 2017 came for an exam. Dr Anderson told me my trial contacts should come in in 3 weeks. I asked him why so long, when my contacts normally take a week. He said because theyre custom made. WELL....ITS January 13, 2018 AND MY TRIAL CONTACTS ARE NOT IN!!!! Ive called the office 4/5 times, and they give me the same answer,Well maam, theyre custom made and they take long, I will call them and call you back They dont call me back, and so I have to call them.....Im wearing my last monthly contacts and now what am I supposed to use? Whenever I get my monthly TRIAL contacts, what am I going to use if the damn contacts take more than 8 weeks for delivery. This is UNREAL!!!!

Ive been going to this place along with my kids since we moved to San Antonio. The staff are great and the Saturday mornings are perfect for us. They always get us in and out. Today I called with an urgency to replace glasses that were lost. I left work at 3:00 and headed there and had my glasses by 4:30. No hidden charges or surprises. Im so thankful and will recommend the brookhollow location to everyone.

Disappointed to say the least. I called around 1:30 pm on 12/10/19 and spoke to Tyler. I asked if they took SuperiorVision and he said they did. When I made it there for my appointment, which was for 4:00 pm with Dr. Bell, the facility felt awkward. Henry, the gentlemen at the front, appeared unamused and tense. Tyler tried to joke with Henry to lighten what appeared to be a difficult task because Henry said he was doing several things; meanwhile a woman who worked was sitting at the counter not doing anything. I went to the back and started the exam with Tyler. First off with the exam, the blood pressure machine they used said my BP was 141/114. I am on medicine to control this and havent had that high of BP EVER!! Tyler even said the machine usually reads high, but this is not a good way to start. After the process had started, and since I had scheduled my day around knowing the insurance was taken there, Henry came into the room where Tyler was initiating the exam and said there was a possibility my insurance wasnt going to cover this. I was there and ready, so I understood the cost of $99.00 might be incurred and agreed to it right out of the gate. The only good thing I had coming out of the exam was the photos of my retina instead of the the dilation process, albeit for another $45.00. Dr. Bell was nice enough, but overall it was not a good experience for me. Then, when I went to pay, and after hearing for sure the specific insurance plan I had was not accepted there, I was out of pocket for the entire process. I said okay knowing I said I would pay if I wasnt covered. When Henry put the card in the machine the power went out because someone was messing with the power. The man came out of the back room saying it was his fault and he did not appear to even work there. The man was not in uniform, no scrubs, or apparel that would lead me to believe he worked there. I dont know why he shut the power off, but it shut the computers down and the credit card machine, as well. Henry said my card was declined and I know for sure I had money in my account. I told him this entire process was a joke and told him to bill me. He said since I did not pay, I was unable to get my prescription. I understand their side on this part, and Im sure they have been hosed by patrons in the past, but I had done everything appropriate to this point. I just would not recommend this place and I will never go back because of the circus within.

Our primary location is DeZavala. We needed glasses quickly, so the staff called the San Pedro location and quickly got us set up there. Our complete experience was outstanding and efficient...as usual!

I have had the worst experience with this location. I had and eye appointment on Feb 2 till this day I have not receive a call to pick up my frames. I have called repeatedly to check on my simple prescription which should have been done in a matter of days. I will be calling again this morning to check on my glassesIn response to the owner replyNobody from your location left me any message in regards to my frames. I was the one calling and checking on my glasses. I spoke with Henry on Monday March 4th and I was told that my glasses got sent to and out of town store and would have them by the end of this week or the beginning of next week. The week before I called to check on my glasses I was told by Adriana that the lens broke and they were sent back to the lab. Bottom line is that someone dropped the ball! Still waiting on my glasses. I would sincerely hope you consider some type of compensation

This office is a breath of fresh air. The staff is so wonderful and friendly. Thanks again, Eyetx, for taking care of me. Recently I was out of the country and my glasses broke. As soon as I returned I went to Eyetx to see what could be done. Henry found a matching ear piece for my glasses, and fixed them on the spot. It was such a relief. Since then Ive had another eye exam and ordered a newer pair. I know that I can go in anytime and have my glasses adjusted. Im glad the staff there are so competent and customer oriented.

If you want to feel special and spoiled just make an eye exam appointment at Eyetx Vision Center. They have many locations. We have been to 2 of them and we always enjoy our visit.

They dont have an experienced LAB technician on staff. So, if you need even the simplest things done with your lenses, look elsewhere. I just needed my existing lenses removed from one set of frames and put into another pair of frames and they said that it could not be done. Needless to say I didnt believe them and went down the street to Visionworks and they were able to do it, no problem.

I dont typically leave reviews whether a good or bad experience. However, the service here was impeccable. I really appreciated the fact that Henry kept in communication with me in regards to my frames, which were on backorder. I will definitely be returning.

Customer service here is the worst. Got updated prescriptions for my sons lenses. They came back scratched not once but 3 times. They kept assuring me this would not happen again. On the third time the frames were warped and out of shape (crooked). They refused to replace them because they were existing frames although they never stated that they were not liable for existing frames. Come to find out they are supposed to show you the statement and have you sign a document. They said they told me this verbally which of course they never did. They are an unethical place to do business with. Avoid this place.

Run, dont walk away from this dreadful place is my opinion.Each time you call the office, it is like calling for the first time... no one knows about anything that is going on. I ordered contacts on May 4th. It is now June 14th and I can still get no one who knows when I will get them. They said I can keep fitting my contacts until they are perfect. Unfortunately, my prescription will most likely be expired by then.They also took two tries to get my basic glasses order right.Four, yes FOUR promises I will get a call back and I have yet to receive one.Run, dont walk away from this dreadful place.This review was for the San Pedro location. ItUpdate,Whomever replied to this was very misinformed. How is inputting the glasses order wrong, and having to reorder being at the mercy of anyone except the office? They had to be ordered twice. The service only changed after this review was put out there.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The experience I had here was absolutely atrocious. After asking when ordering my glass for the thinnest lens possible I got my glasses back with coke bottle thick lens that I will never wear. They girl ask if I wanted a quote for the more expensive, thinner kind. Yes, I did want it.. When I ordered them! I also had to wait over a week longer than I was originally told because there was a problem when making them. I was only told that on my 4th phone call (all to Sylvia). She took each phone call assuring me she would give me a call back and never did so. The last time I called, on a Tuesday, well past the alloted time I was told, Henry, who I assume is the person in charge, assured me they would be there on Friday and he would personally call and let me know. Friday at 2pm (they close at 5) I finally called after not hearing anything and was told they were in fact ready. Each communication I was the one forced to reach out, being told each time I would be called back and not once did that happen. And then I end up with glasses that are not at all what I wanted or what Ill use because the person ordering them did not listen to what I asked for. This experience all around has been horrible and I am so upset. I will he contacting someone in charge, but this location has a lot to learn about customer service.

Terrible rude service. Unsanitary facility. Older heavyset woman was more interested in eating her lunch, rushed me trying to choose frames and then ordered the wrong color. Restrooms were dirty. I do not recommend this location.
