This store was near impossible to locate as a passerby, even though I pass here 5 days a week! It is however, a hidden gem for firearm enthusiasts & first time buyers. Most of the prices are very competitive, even against other local & big box stores. I found several items that were priced as low as online-only retailers! The real draw isnt the location or prices though, its the staff. Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, you will not be just another customer here. The manager mentioned that they would be expanding their building in the coming months, so Im excited to visit again and see it! This will be one of my favorite go-to local firearm shops, and I think it could be yours to.

My favorite gun shop in San Antonio!

Walked in with a blown gas block on my AR. The employees looked at it, mad a fast assessment, faster repair and a viable solution to keep it from happening again. Would highly recommend this shop and I will be back.

Went to Modern Outfitters this afternoon to have my Glock 17 looked at. I had let a range close by do a quick cleaning and immediately had trouble with the gun locking up. It turns out the previous cleaning job had been a hack and the entire inside of the gun was soaked with grease (causing the firing pin to lock up).Daniel and Preston immediately went to work and spent over 25 minutes breaking the gun down and cleaning and drying each portion. The explained to me exactly what had happened and answered all of my questions.Once they were finished I asked how much I owed them and they said nothing! You don’t see service or knowledge like that anywhere these days. They were both fantastic and truly great at what they do.Thanks to those two guys Modern Outfitters has a customer for life. I would recommend them for any of your firearm or accessory needs. The store has a great supply and some cool stuff I haven’t seen anywhere before either.Thank you Daniel and Preston and job well done!

Walked in to buy my new ar but was greeted by a rather rude gentleman who refused to give me the gun for 40% off due to my financial situation. Terrible store. Will definitely buy an ar someplace else and come back if you know what I men;-)

Im truly pleased with Modern Outfitters in Dallas. Their rifles are very well designed and made. The salesmen are quite knowledgable about AR platform weapons and a variety of rounds used for different types of hunting. What truly separates them from their competition though, is their totally first class service. After purchasing one of their MC6 Carbines they removed the scope and red dot site from my other AR, attached both to the new MC6, sighted in both at their range and gave me a ready to shoot weapon the next day at no charge. A couple of weeks later they adjusted my custom trigger without charge. I can easily recommend Modern Outfitters and their carbines without any reservation.

Finally got to stop by Modern Outfitters today and was blown away.Ive never seen so many truly custom built firearms in one place. The staff was very friendly and helped explain what makes their firearms superior in performance and not just aesthetics.If you are in the Design District checking out unique, meticulously designed and finely crafted art; be sure to stop by Modern Outfitters. They installed my iron sights for FREE in less than 5 minutes after I walked in, after the other LGS in the area quoted me $50! Modern Outfitters has definitely earned my repeat business (sorry Ray’s) and they have a nice selection of firearms with fair prices and great staff.

Made no attempt to notify me after tax stamp was recieved by MO (90 DAYS,). Visited the store 4 times and emailed store manger, inquiring about the fact no adapter insert was shipped w/ bowers suppressor. One visit and email was clearly after stamp was recieved in store. Only discovered stamp had been issued and mailed out after contacting ATF. Picked up suppressor and no surprise, no insert was included so now waiting on an insert, which is now back ordered. Clearly no captain on this ship.

What a great addition to the Dallas gun enthusiasts scene. A day earlier I broke the sights my wifes glock and needed a quick repair.While there I had mentioned she loves the gun, but her only gripe is the trigger. We talked briefly about her primary purpose for the gun, tried few things, picked what I needed. 30 minutes later Im on my way to the range with the new sights + trigger installed. It took her only about 30 rounds to say whatever you did, the gun feels great (happy to take the credit).Expect nothing less than a great service from the staff whos friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Today’s AR-15 market is saturated with rifles that are painfully indistinguishable from one another. Modern Outfitters has attempted to step into this void & produce some truly special modern sporting rifles. Here’s the thing though... They haven’t stepped into this void. They’re recognized by several police departments, such as Dallas PD, as approved patrol rifles. Pair this incredibly nimble rifle with their own in house DMR trigger, and you have one sexy piece of kit.A custom aftermarket cerakote job will set you back $250-400. Buy why not get it straight from the manufacturer? And why just settle for only your AR? They have many different packages that come straight from their custom shop that include not only a jaw dropping cerakote on the rifle, but also on all sorts of flavors of Leupold scopes. They have even partnered with Leupold to have custom CDS dials made for their rifles. Take your pick from 6-7 different paint schemes from multi-cam to Damascus. (My personal favorite, and my choice for my MC6 in 6.8) Did I mention that every MC6 comes with a Griffin Armament muzzle device? Yeah, they do suppressors too.If your standard AR-15 isnt what youre after, they can scratch that itch as well. My buddies tease me for being a fanboy, and its true. I have drank the Kool-aid and come back for more.
