Visiting with Dr. Marc Van Hoose, O.D. was the best experience Ive ever had at an Optometrist. His knowledge and experience is beyond what I expected. Usually, I get the impression that the Optometrist doesnt like his or her job. However, I could tell that he was very enthusiastic and very friendly and helpful. He went beyond the call of duty for me by helping me with my two prescriptions and giving me information about my eyes. They also take most insurance. I would more than highly recommended Dr. Marc Van Hoose. The staff was friendly and professional too and the parking was open.

Here for my 12.15 appointment but they took the person here for 12.30 appointment ahead of me at 12.25. Contact lens exam ranges from $75 to $350 but you wont know for sure until the exam is over so be prepared to pay the max because they wont tell you what you can expect within that range. You have to sign that you understand this policy before they will see you. I like Dr. Howard, and used to see him at his previous location.

My husband and I saw Dr. Marc and had a great experience at his office. He is very knowledgeable in his field and continues to learn the latest in the field. He is friendly and answered all of our questions thoroughly, we never felt rushed. The staff is also great and helped us get a good deal on contacts. We will definitely continue to see him every year and would recommend him to our friends and family.

I have been going since 1976 since the day when it was just Dr. Ackroyd in Gemco, Kearny Mesa. I have seen all the doctors now and they are excellent. I highly recommend Ackroyd & Van Hoose Optometry.
