I came in from out of town with a missing nose pad and a screw causing a lens to fall out due to wearing a mask all day on a plane the day before. They were very accommodating and repaired my glasses. No charge. I am so ever thankful. I highly recommend this place.

Called for an eye exam - gave them all my info on the phone days in advance and was told later to come in for the exam. I take the morning off work, arrive, they question my card multiple times to be told fifteen minutes later that theyre not sure about my insurance (Blue Shield) and they couldnt see me. They never bothered calling my insurance and I was told by the manager that insurance isnt there business. I had always got my prescriptions filled there for many years but never had an eye exam from them. The manager seemed to push the blame on me and didnt care that I would not be doing business with them again. Wasted half a day of sick leave because of them- to bad they dont care!After talking with the floor manager two different times and getting absolutely no help and zero effort to make things right with their mistake it takes a bad review for them to act like they care. How about training your managers on customer service and how insurance works instead of me filling out forms on your poor service!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Rachel and she was amazing, so helpful, and was able to make everything perfect. I cannot wait to go back to her store to purchase another pair of glasses.

I am trying to get LASIK eye surgery and the surgeon needs my medical records. I called LensCrafters in Clairemont this morning to have LensCrafters fax my medical records to my LASIK surgeon, and they refused to help. I asked if they could send the records to me instead then, and they would not send them. I’m not sure what to do now.

Hands down best experience ever. I have been wearing glasses since I was about 4 years old. I’m 30 now and I have never received this type of customer service. From the moment I walked in the entire staff treated myself and my husband like family. Bernie & Rachel answered any and all questions we had, and even provided additional education about our eyes. Dr. Hosn was very friendly and made the whole process smooth for us. Just a slight tweak in my prescription made such a huge impact on my vision I couldn’t believe it. We left with 4 pairs of new glasses and only intended on getting one pair each. Everyone was very knowledgeable and eager to help not just sell us merchandise. Got an exam for contacts in May of 2020. Was told I would need to pick up my trial contacts at the store when they came in a month later. When I came back to pick up my trials a month later they gave me someone elses contacts, which I then had to drop back off at their store. They told me there had been a mistake with my order and Id need to wait ANOTHER month. Here I am about nine months later, and they call asking if I want to schedule an appointment for an annual eye exam. I told them I still hadnt received my trials, and I was told that apparently theyd messed up the order AGAIN, theyd never come in, and now Id need to pay another $165 for a new exam if I wanted the trials I had already paid for.It would be a one star review except the staff did seem nice, even if they did screw me out of $165 through their incompetence.

Dr. Hosn and Nick were great! They helped me pick out a pair of frames and contacts. They were honest with opinions on frames and I never felt pressured to purchase. I get so many compliments on my frames. Service was prompt and professional. I will definitely be back next year and will be referring friends and family.

These guys know how to get you in and out. Professional and to the point, I like that in places I go. They practice very safe pandemic friendly practices to ensure the safety of their patients and staff. I already had in mind what I wanted in frames before I got there but ended up looking around anyway because of the amount of selections they had to choose from. My favorite part of my last visit when I was picking up my glasses was when the doctor came out just to see how things were going. We exchanged passing greetings when I first arrived, then he came out to continue conversation for a moment while I was waiting for a moment. I appreciate that because he didnt have to do that.. but he did. Thanks to staff and the doc for making my experiences great. I highly recommend!!

I had a good initial experience while ordering my glasses in store. When I went to pick them up I noticed a scratch on the frames. A male employee said dont worry it wont get worse... mind you I had just paid $300 for glasses they shouldnt come damaged. He and another woman insisted I waited for the manager to return but I had to go pick up my son from school. I was told the manager might not exchange them for me. I left upset and let them know I wasnt happy with the customer service. They were able to fix it same day. I went the next day to pick them up and a employee didnt even offer to have me try them on. I insisted given my experience with the last pair plus I often need adjustments on new frames. There is zero customer service at the Clairemont location. The employees are not friendly and seem lazy as if youre bothering them. Always check your new glasses before leaving!

Friendly staff, not pushy or too “sales-y” - doctor and entire staff were prompt, efficient and professional. I felt welcome and comfortable my entire visit and this was perhaps the best overall experience I’ve had at an optometrist. Took my Mom here for her glasses since we knew the area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful even tho they were busy and operating at limited capacity. We initially had a small issue with one of the pairs but they QUICKLY fixed it and made us feel welcome. Will come back :)

Scheduled an appointment online the day of since I was running low on contacts. Eye exam/checkout took less than an hour and walked out with a new prescription, frames, contact lens order. Loved everyone I interacted with and would recommend for anyone who needs a quick appointment.

I came here while back to help my father order a pair of glasses. Having worked in optical before I figured I could help him with his order. I was really disappointed that they tried to take advantage of his lack of knowledge by trying to upsell him with plenty of features he didnt need. So much so to the point where they were dishonest. This location seems more focused on sales than finding a suitable lens for the patient. Expect to pay a lot.I stopped in again to look around and they tried the same thing. Its a shame because their frame selection is very good.

Love the staff, they are very friendly. And Doctor Hosn has always been great. He takes his time answering my many questions. I never feel rushed and I thank him for that.

Absolutely incredible....and Im not just talking about my vision.I have an extremely difficult prescription...with a -8 astigmatism. In my 15 years of wearing glasses and lenses I have always had an issue with dry eyes and not super clear vision... No one could make it 20/20.Dr Hosn Is the first doctor that I have met who has been able to counter all of these issues by prescribing me a very unique type of lens for my contacts that do not dry... In fact I can barely feel Im wearing them unlikeMy previous lenses... and I am able to see far more clearly than ever before. I felt like one of those people in those videos that wear those glasses and see color for the first time LOLI was recently just fitted for glasses. Once again an amazing experience. I want to personally thank Dr. Hosn for his knowledge, professionalism and giving me the best sight ever!As far as the staff... Very polite very professional very attentive... They engaged in friendly conversation as I was filling out the paperwork they did some research for me prior to my appointment to make sure I was getting the best deal with my insurance...You have to be careful because some insurance policies cover the exam and not the lenses so they went over with me the best way to go about it unlike other offices who just want to make as much as they can off you... This was my first time stepping foot at this location and Dr.Hosn, Bernie, and the Lens Crafters staff were extremely friendly, kind, and attentive. I was greeted right away by their manager Bernie and shown many options for sunglasses while I waited for my eye exam. First of all, they have one of the best Ray Ban selections I’ve ever seen and was pleased to have found the perfect pair! As far as my eye exam goes, Dr.Hosn was friendly and made me feel comfortable, especially since I am not the biggest fan of getting my eyes checked—mostly due to the fact that I don’t want to see how much worse they have gotten. Fortunately for me, Dr.Hosn assured me that my eyes did not get as bad as I thought they did and eased my worries. Another plus was how everything was sanitized and wiped down! Considering the pandemic we are currently in this is is extremely important and shows that they care about the health and well being of their customers. I would recommend this location to everyone if you’re looking for a great eye exam and fashionable eye wear without the pressures of having someone force you into a sale. I can’t wait for my prescription Ray Ban sunglasses to come in! It was worth the wait!

I went in here to get new lenses for a pair of frames. I encountered terrible customer service from all three of the employees working that afternoon. There was nobody in the store, so it wasnt like they were swamped. Bad attitudes and unfriendly, they made it so i couldnt wait to leave. At one point they seem so disinterested I even said, Im trying to give you my money. I will happily never return to this store and recommend you go elsewhere if you want any kind of customer service.

I am literally blind as a bat but have no echo location so putting my self in the hands of the wonderful staff here was the best decision I could have ever made. Amazing customer service and lightening fast turn around time for getting your glasses made oh and they have a great selection of frames at great prices shoot all I have to say is say no more Fam this is the spot you want to go to for all your eyeballs needs.

Kudos to Alex! After calling 3 or 4 places to get information on getting lenses for a frame I already have, I am glad he answered the phone. He was very knowledgable on the types of lenses, the different coatings, etc. Also, since my frame was one they dont carry, he couldnt guarantee he could fit lenses in. I got off phone and raced over so he could check. Luckily they did! Glasses were ready super quick! I havent worn glasses for over 13 years, so I greatly appreciated his patience, knowledge and outstanding customer service! Highly recommend this location, especially Alex.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call regarding my negative review. (I had complained about the quality of new frame I ordered) LensCrafters gave me an exact same, perfect new frame for me. I spoke to Lab manager after he replaced to mint condition frame. He had read my review and discussed the matter with Corporate office, found a solution to meet my needs. I appreciate the new mint condition frame but, more so, I appreciate the time and effort between the shop and corporate office. Thank you, LensCrafters! What you did, means a lot to me. You got a royal customer!Since I posted last review, I did go back to Lens Crafters on Clairemont Dr. as a customer again in 2019. I got myself a new pair of eyeglasses (frame and lenses) plus I purchased one year protection. I will definitely go back to Lens Crafters for my sunglasses in the future.
