It had been more than ten years since my last eye exam, so I decided to go to Lake Murray this past week and I was so glad I did! Dr. Gonzalez was pretty amazing. He took his time to explain to me what was going on with my vision and encouraged me to continue with my routine eye exams annually. I definitely will be going back to this place! The customer service and patient care was really outstanding. The selection of frames is pretty awesome, too! I was able to find a pair right away :)

This review is overdue! I have been a patient for several years, and have recommended many of my friends to go to Lake Murray Optometric during that time. Dr. Gonzalez and his staff have always gone out of their way to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and well taken care of. He legitimately cares about his patients, and works to provide options that fit their lifestyle. You will not be disappointed in choosing to go to Lake Murray Optometric.

My recent visit to Lake Murray Optometric Center was a very good experience. The care was very professional and kind. The Doctor spent plenty of time with my exam and answered all my questions. The technician helped me select my glasses; I bought 2 pairs of regular glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses. All three turned out perfectly and I am thrilled with them. I will continue to be a satisfied customer with this great practice.

Went in for an eye exam and to purchase prescription glasses… great experience! Marlene, specifically, was incredible in helping me decipher which glasses suited my needs and she provided great feedback. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from her and the entire Lake Murray optics’ staff. Don’t typically have a need to go to an optometrist once I’m set with my glasses; but if I ever do, definitely coming back! Thanks to everyone there!

The crew that works here is amazing. Super friendly and helpful people! The range of choices is a bit small but I found something I liked and I cant wait to pick them up and try them out.

I had a pleasant experience during my routine eye exam with the doctor and would recommend people to come here for their eye exams as well. However, purchasing contact lenses turned out to be quite a headache and I do not recommend purchasing contacts here. I brought a copy of my vision insurance benefits and asked the associate if a particular discount would be applicable or not. I explained that if it was not applicable, I would just purchase contacts elsewhere (since the cost of contacts would then be less expensive elsewhere). She checked everything over, confirmed that the discount would be applicable, and then processed my order for contact lenses. A few days later, she called me to say that she made a mistake and the discount would not be applicable, and that I now owed them additional money. I know people make mistakes and thats fine. But it is poor business practice to place that burden of someone elses mistake on the customer. I explained again that I would not have purchased contacts there if it werent for the discount, so if they would not honor it, I would return the contacts. She then tried to charge me restocking fees, which was unbelievable. After some consideration, she did agree to remove the restocking fees and refund me the cost of the contacts. I still ended up losing a small amount of money for the original shipping fee which she would not refund. As soon as I got home, I was able to order contacts somewhere else and not only were they less expensive, but I also got a hassle-free discount and free shipping. Spend your money wisely and do not purchase contacts here. It was an awful customer experience.

We all have to provide for our families and make a living, but that does not mean that dollars should come before your patients and their health.

The staff is very knowledgeable and they have a great selection of frames. They explained my insurance benefits so I understood everything completely. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a personable doctor, quality products and great customer service. They adjust my frames and will replace screws and nose pads for free. Overall its a great office!

I am so excited to have my new progressive glasses, it feels like Christmas for my eyes. The staff and Dr.s are kind and professional. I need to honest about this I was looking for Costco prices for glasses and shared with the staff that I would like to know if they would match Costcos prices and they did. My first time there and i was instantly drawn in. I was greated by friendly, professional and knowledgeable. staff and felt right at home in waiting/retail rooms. M.D. was timely as well as very kind and personable. Rachel gave me her undivided attention and made me feel very comfortable trying on frame after frame. She also seemed to really enjoy her work which is refreshing. I would go here over a clinic setting anyday.
