They will not tell you that all sales are final until after you purchase. You’ll be lucky to get an exchange for something with known resale value.I wish I read the reviews before walking in.Under no circumstances should you buy anything from this place unless you know the exact online price from major retailers, and they match it. Read the other reviews. They overprice everything and then haggle you down to something that’s still above market. They have clearly been doing business like this for a while. They move fast and talk fast, just like street magicians. They will pull up websites on their phones that show the price they are working down from to gain your confidence. Make sure you verify the price on your own device on another website. You could do all that, or just look somewhere else.

We did not buy from here as I wanted to research the item. They did have me pull it up on ebay of all places to show me the supposed going price. The sticker said 1699.00 and the quickly dropped it to 1100.00 while showing us a uv filter. Although the uv filter did remove some glare they were asking 300 again from the same company. As we were walking out the two guys dropped the price for the lens to 600 bucks. I said that even if he dropped a couple hundred more I would not purchase it until I reviewed specs and the maker. Very dubious about this store so stay clear. The guys were very polite but a bit pushy. You ever have someone at an authorized canon seller push you to buy something? Huntz Camera? Nope...

Love this place! I was thinking of buying a new Camera one day and came in to look around...The Owner and his nephew are amazing!! With the right accessories, my current camera, that I thought would be obsolete, is now my forever camera because of their knowledge and expertise. They took the time to show me how to better use my current camera and sold me accessories that I never knew could enhance my experience and most importantly, my pictures. They were right... my quality of pictures was elevated to a better level and my confidence soared!! The next day, I came in to have them show me, once again how to work with my new accessories and they were most patient and kind with us...thank you so much New Age Camera!! We think you are great!!!

These guys lie to you, make you feel like you get a good deal. Don’t believe them. I was honest a beginning photographer, they coaxed me off the street saying I need a couple HD filters, each $199. They sold me a buy one get one free. Then they suggested a Japan Optics telephoto 2.2x screw on lens. Started at $799. I was walking out but they said they wanted me to get the good deal. Sold to me for $279. Went away feeling like I met honest good people but after some research the Japan optics zoom lens was on Amazon and eBay for $50, manufacturer retailed for $65. Don’t buy from New age camera, walk down the street to camera zone, support more honest businesses.

As a new photography enthusiast, I enthusiastically asked the guy to suggest me a good camera for a beginner (price and quality vise). He rudely replied, all camera quality is better than your phones quality, come back when you have the money to buy it!. I was more shocked than angered with what I heard. I just left without even responding to him.

Very dodgy salesmen. They offer items totally overpriced, then trying to catch you with a special deal. For example, I was offered the Peak Design Capture Camera Clip V3 for $129, then he tried to make it a deal going down to $119 later to $89. The price on the manufacturer website is $69. In addition he tried to sell a so-called High-definition filter (cannot remember the brand) for $189 instead of $300. When I was undecided to buy, he kept pushing. After a while it got really annoying and when I eventually attempted to leave without buying, he got very rude telling me that he doesnt want to waste his time with people like me. Which is kind of interesting as in the beginning of the conversation he told me that I was the only costumer on the day (it was 3pm) and there was clearly no one even close entering that store. Overall, dear New Age Camera, continue with your strategy and that is the reason why people will prefer to buy online. My recommendation for all costumers: Stay away unless you have time to spare and are interested in some dodgy conversation.

They truly are rip off artists as others indicated. I was looking for a tripod: This one usually sells for $149, Ill do it for $89 - OK let me look up the model # online - Guess what? Goes for $35-$40 in retail stores. After trying to dissuade me from looking it up he makes a bunch of excuses then tries to settle on $50 - nope, not getting my business. To think that a business is willing to use these outdated shady tactics in 2020 with the accessibility of the internet is not only inexcusable, but morally wrong.

I stopped by this place while visiting San Francisco with my family. We were looking for some decent binoculars, and to my surprise they had a pretty good selection. I was helped almost right away and after browsing for a bit, we decided to buy some Olympus 10x50. I confirmed the prices on amazon myself (I usually double check when visiting stores when on vacation anyways) and I got a pretty good deal on them. The customer service was also friendly and informative, I would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Was walking around in downtown and Chinatown taking pictures when my camera batteries died. After looking at a few camera stores, I finally found New Age Camera! The staff were super helpful in figuring out what my camera model was and what battery I needed. They sold me the right model at a reasonable price. Lifesaver!

I have traveled to CA, Bay Area to visit a customer and I needed to purchase a camera to take digital photos and HD video of our product, I came across New Age Camera of SF, first I was not sure if they can help me, but I found out that the level of their customer service and support was beyond great. They came to my assistance, with a new Nikon full frame digital camera, with the right lenses and accessories. they understood my challenges and assist me with the proper answers and above all, when I checked their prices on my phone with other vendors of same and similar items to my surprise they were very competitive and gave me the best deal I could get. I have returned to them on my second visit to purchase additional Cameras and lenses. I give them 10 out of 10 for customer service, product understanding and price.

Brought relatives on a tour to Chinatown when my cousin said he was thinking of buying a new camera and he knew exactly which camera he wanted, the Canon EOS Rebel SL2. Walked into New Age Camera and they had it in stock. The staff was able to answer all my cousins questions. They also have a large selection of Ray Ban sunglasses. I found one I really liked. Purchased both items. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable on the products they sell. Will definitely come back.

Walk right on by. Dont engage with the salesmen. They are very convincing while offering deals on photographic equipment that turn out to be overpriced by many hundreds of dollars. They say they have been in business at that location for over 20 years they dont tell you that they change the name of the store many times.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I bought at this store. Tony is a really quick talker and I bought that stupid filter and and overpriced camera at more than double market price!!! This place is an outright rip off!!! Don’t try to return anything btw; there is no refund or exchange!!! This was the worst experience of an otherwise awesome trip to California!

I was scammed by this shop in paying $700 for $100 worth of equipment, what a fool I feel! This pushy salesman, Tony, convinced me to purchase the Axpro 58mm 0.43X ProLens which he hiped up, even put it on my camera to demonstrate. He referred me to the supposed company Axpro website and showed me the said lens being sold for.. $970 (the whole website has massively inflated prices) and he.. supposedly made me a great offer at $700 including the polarized filter and the sales tax.. Of course, when I went home and had some time to carefully check the website, I saw zero contact details and an address in.. Scotland which leads to a place with no such company details.. What a fool I feel..Dont make the same mistake I made and stay away from these people!!! You can buy similar lenses online for a fraction of the cost!!

In this country one has the freedom to express. And thanks to Google that allows us to share our experiences.Last week I purchased a product from the “new age camera” store and I was surprised and very upset that the store owner put a lot of pressure on me about purchasing their product. And the surprise that takes me when I return home is that. He changed the product and he gave me another one that was not. I have tried calling and did not want to change it. And worst of all is that I manipulate the prices on the receipt.I bought a cleaning kit that I claimed was worth $ 17.00 and charged me $ 89.00 and other things. And I wanted to change it but they didnt want to do it anymore. And according to the guarantee.Well, thats how people are.It is the last time I buy in a store like this.To all who want to buy products please think twice before visiting this store. It is not only money that we exchange but our time to earn the money. If you want products, look for the official website of your favorite maracas. They will not want to be surprised like me!But we learn things from something.
