Some home depot are very helpful but union city home depot Some guys they dont know where the product are
The store is somewhat clean, people are somewhat nice, but way too often their inventory doesnt match availability posted online. That tells me they really dont care much what is available and what is not and they basically use customers to flag items out of sync. Thats not nice.
Had to ask 3 different people for help finding what I needed. Sent me to the wrong aisles. Train your staff better please.
I write many reviews about my experiences at Home Depot, being an electrical contractor Im there often. I would say 97 % are 5 stars. Unfortunately that streak ends with this last visit. I was doing a emergency panel change out of of DeAnza Blvd and needed to convert from 1 hard conduit to 1 flexible conduit and struck out big time. No 1 emt fitting, aluminum flex, non metallic flex, ridgid couplings. I imagine a large electrical outfit cleaned out the store. Frustrating
BIG THANK YOU to the assistant manager, Luis! He had patiently helped me to bring down several 72x36 windows from the top of the rack using the heavy machine by himself. And then walk me to the cashier for the checkout. While the managers at other stores would usually ask their staff to do it, Luis actually did it by himself. He has been very friendly and helpful. Thanks for your kindness and time, Luis!
Overall a good visit but there were many items listed incorrectly on the website.
0 star for their appliance PROFESSIONAL DELIVERY & INSTALLATION. They do not deliver as your schedule, they only deliver when they want to, if they dont, sorry, you have to wait another week. Yes, this is what happened to me. Their deliver guy cannot even read US address. The worse is their sales people do not really know about the appliances so they cannot give you a useful advice. If you want to buy wood or material, Home Depot is the best place, but if you want to buy appliances, go to Best Buy, not Home Depot.
Usual HD experience....well stocked. Rented a truck and returned it. Rental agent was friendly, helpful, and thorough even at closing time.
Usually a bit less crowded than other Home Depots, with all the stuff youve come to expect. If you are able to find a staff member, they are usually friendly. Returns can be a pain, not enough staff and slow processing. Prices are reasonable. They also have special parking lot sales sometimes (carpets, plants etc.). Day labourers can be found in the parking lot.
Big box retail store. If you know what looking for this is place. Looking help...forget it you will not get any help from the employees.
Your typical home depot. Staff were generally helpful.
Someone hit my car in the Home Depot parking lot, and the Home Depot staff would not help me figure out who did it. They have security cameras and could have identified the white truck that hit me, but the woman said they only cooperate with Law Enforcement. I tried to file a police report, but the police said I could file a report online but they wouldnt do anything about it. Im sure Im not the only one whose car got hit in the parking lot. They should cooperate with victims like me. The damage cost me $3,000 to repair and I had to pay it myself to avoid having an accident on my driving and insurance record. Please, Home Depot, help people like me! Otherwise I cannot shop at your store!
I hate this place. No one ever around to help if you have a question.
This location is a larger HOME DEPOT, store. & they fill it. If you are looking, this is the place. Help are well trained an can speak & be helpful. It is also quite clean an up to date. A pleasure to shop there.
I was there the get some garden seeds. No one seemed to know where they were. They staffs made me go back and forth. In the end I decided to stop looking and left to a different store.
This store is pretty busy. Some product stock is low and selection limited. But you can usually find what you need, or get some ideas on how to get something done. Customer service quality is really 50/50. Some really knowledgeable and some just wastes your time.
The Home Depot is very close to my house ( and it might be close to yours too!) plus it has a monthly building thing for kids. I bet your child would enjoy that place.
Very crowded this springtime. Online order took several hours to be ready. Pickup the next day was fine, only a short wait for service.
Serious inventory problem. I check the web site, it has multiple supplies. I go there— NONE!!!! Boxes and shelves are a complete mess. This happened MULTIPLE TIMES on different supplies. Waste of my time, and time = money.Going to Lowes from now on. They got their acts together. Slightly farther but less aggregations than the Home Depot mess.
The homedepot on the De Anza Blvd is very good and clean. The staff is very good and always helpful
I wish that there was a locally owned option! I am so tired of the rude employees and terrible customer service. I went in to order a window and shower door - Almost $2,000. The guy at the window department barely looked at us and acted like he was being inconvenienced to order just one window. I aske if he could also help with the shower door and he just said NO.... I asked where to go and he said he didnt know....Try flooring or kitchen. I left my daughter to finish the window order and went to the kitchen area which was closest to the bathroom aisle. there was 1 person there helping a couple design a kitchen! During a pause in their conversation, I simply said....I have just a quick question...Is this where I order a shower door? She looked at me and said.....I am helping someone else. Really? Im supposed to stand there for 2 hours until they finish, only to find that I am in the wrong department? I went back to the window department and told the man there to forget the entire order. I told him that I am tired of being treated rudely and would go to Lowes. And I did!
They helped us with the tiles. Definitely needed it. I still have some discomfort, just trying to do it alone, at the beginning
Unfortunately had to wait around for 45 mins to get a tool unlocked from the case after 4 pages from multiple employees I had to seek out a supervisor to help find the person with the key.
Associate in the garden was not very helpful.. but otherwise just like other home depots
Better than the sunnyvale location - not nearly as crowded - allows the staff to be more helpful.
Awesome customer service from John in the Appliances department! The shipment company delivered a front load washer a year ago without leaving the shipping bolts, which I realized just a couple of days before moving (no time to order new ones, and also not wanting to pay an extra $60-$100 for new parts online). The shipment company was lame about it, saying they could not do anything about it and I had to contact the washer manufacturer. I called a couple of Home Depot stores without success, then reached John who was super helpful, checked what parts were needed for the now discontinued model, and searched for compatible bolts from floor models in the store. It was on a Black Friday, one of the busiest days of the year. This kind of support has become rare, it is nice to see it is still out there.
We all know as a women that sometimes going into home improvement stores can mean sexism from the men who work in them. My experience today at Home Depot was the best it’s ever been. A kind woman looked up what isle I needed something from. The best part was the paint isle. The worker who was mixing paints was incredibly kind and helpful to me. He answered all my questions without being condescending and was just a very pleasant person overall. Cannot stress how much this meant to me to just be treated like a regular person. Will be coming back!
Needs work however Laurent the assistant manager of the store did a great job taking care of my concerns
A special thanks to Jyothi (Bollinger home depot) for providing best customer support. We installed carpet in one of the rental with the help of home depot. Home depot hired third party installer. He messed up with water connection while he was moving the washing machine, resulting water leakage in the apartment and down floor. Jyothi (COS 6635)from installations followed up with the carpet installer and made them pay for fixing the water leakage damages. She followed up on this multiple times and made sure every thing is taken care. Thanks again Jyothi!
Slow, disorganized store with unfriendly and unknowledgeable staff. Couldn’t find parts for an order, couldn’t update when an order was supposed to be in, and couldn’t give info on rentals.
Well they quit matching Lowes competitor coupons.
Good service, though not too many selections of brands
Good products for garage.
Chrckoit line tho 30person before me! Did move swiftly with staff sprsy-wiping each of the 4 self checkouts before use. Only not the scanner handle which I covered with a whole foods dry wipe.
I found the parts I needed, but then saw the checkout line, which stretched from the self-checkout registers all the way across the front of the store. Instead of opening registers and helping people, the employees were directing traffic in this long line. Of course, some self-checkout registers were broken, and the line looked like it was at least half an hour long. Ill shop instead where they have actual people at the registers, as the robo-checkout just fails every time.
I went in to rent some tools and the lady at the cashier was so rude! She did not help me at all, told me i can’t rent the bits with the drill (which i did multiple times when i rent the electric drills with home depot at other locations). She said the past employees were just being ‘nice’. Never coming here again. You’d be better off going to other home depot locations nearby!
Super helpful staff everywhere. I was especially grateful for the staffer who dug through a bunch of wood planks to find me the best ones and them cut perfectly for me.
I came for curbside pickups but no one was helping. I had waited over 40 minutes and reminded them but their answer was “you have to be patient” and that was it. I guess I’m patient enough to rate two stars not one, maybe? People working here is nice, thanks Home Depot.
Good associates that are helpful.
Typical big box stores. Multitude of products at a fair price. Not always the cheapest nor the best but adequate for the homeowner doing DIY. My biggest complaint is that there are never enough knowledgeable employees present to answer questions or help with large products.Latest visit to store, Home Depot, you are terrible liars. Bought a new locking mailbox had to have an employee retrieve from the upper bins. Box looked a little funky. I asked if it was a return. Employee said, NO. Got it home and the it was double taped. Yup, it was a return and the hardware is missing what a pain in the #####.
I needed help in the electrical department and a person that assisted me was very informative
They got everything! Just prepare in advance cause finding your stuff might take time. Prepare your shopping list in advance using the home depot web page
This place has everything l need and more! Solutions for the house that I am not aware of! But ... Be careful in the parking lot. Lots of big trucks with wood or other products sticking out. Easy to get your car scratched.
The curbside service during the pandemic has been great. The assistance are very helpful and pleasant. The home Depot app has also evolved into a very useful one for the times that you need to go into the store, for example, to buy lumber. I go to the de Anza store on Bollinger avenue and have been very happy with the service, the covid health control arrangements, and the ease of being able to find what I need, most of the time cheaper than what I can get at Amazon.
No customer service. You are on your own. Checkout was fast and courteous.
Beware about this location if you are Spanish they accusing people stealing with out proofIf you Spanish skip this location Deanza Blvd location san jose California
The lady who took time to find the air filter filler for an odd size old filter for me was very knowledgeable, even though plumbing was not her department.
Customer service was friendly and helpful. I only checked out the garden center for herbs and succulents. The selection arent as wide as Id like. They have variations of the same species but a limited selection. The herbs looked healthy and at a very reasonable price for the size and quality.
If you cant find something, help is hard to find. Home Depot should pay these employees more. Upon entering, I couldnt find a cart. The guy standing at entry, was rude. Consumers should be careful. You dont know the background of the folks who stand outside to get jobs, at Home Depot, (which they permit). This guy stands outside at Home Depot, and is highly skilled but he is an addict. He didnt complete the job, and behaved oddly.
Staff assistance is awesome, very well organized .
Dont even think of in-store pickup or curbside pickup. You can take less time to grab your items and checkout.
Worst costumer service!!!! Nobody knew where I can find what I needed so I just walked out
Dave in plumbing is great!! I can’t say enough about this guy. He understands true customer service and is extremely knowledgeable. He will take the time to help you when other associates just don’t have the time of day to help. I come to him with all my plumbing questions. Debra was also extremely helpful and goes out of her way to find an answer for you. If you need something in plumbing, find Dave or Debra!!
Never get a door installed from here. They contract with a terrible install company, which is trying to extract every penny from Home Depot and so the customer becomes the middle man who gets squeezed. Never buy a custom door from Home Depot. I had bought a door from them with installation, wherein was told they would install any door hardware I bought at home depot. I got a door handle which was offered by the door manufacturer along with the door. First door came and the installer found frame warped, paint and finish issues for which he would only install if he was not held liable for the state of the door, which made sense so we notified home depot of the defects. The door supplier said they couldnt produce the same door due to a broken machine. So we had to change manufacturer. 5 months after placing initial order, I finally got a door without defects. In the whole process, I had to constantly follow up with Home Depot, they dont bother to notify customers or call for delivery unless you call and ask if the door has arrived. They claim you get email notifications of everything, which is baloney. So the installer took 2 FULL days to install the door and I had to call the Home Depot manager to get them to install the door handle because they claimed it was non standard. Basically Home Depot lied, the installer wont install every thing you buy with the door at Home Depot. They just say anything, unless it is documented, you are out of luck. So on top of the $1400 they charged me for door install, I had to pay extra to get door handle installed. They dont care about customers or quality of service. Time is money and in the end you may save some bucks on the product but youll lose a lot of time. The frustration wasnt worth it. I would think twice about buying anything from Home Depot.
Would’ve given this review as a one star, but this location is clean and organised. They also have a good selection. However, I tried to ask Kathy for help, but she completely ignored me after I kept asking for her help. I felt invisible and wondered if she was showing any anti-Asian attitudes. Was she ignoring us because she feared getting COVID? Was she ignoring us because she blamed us for the spread of COVID? Or was it because she didn’t like Asians in general? What I know, is that she definitely wasn’t short of hearing. Shortly afterwards, a white male asked her for help and she immediately helped him. It wasn’t like she was hard of hearing; we requested for her to help us many times. After approaching her about this situation, she responded with an arrogant attitude, telling us to talk to her manager. However, she realised that her arrogant attitude had gone too far. She ended up helping us by calling over someone else to help us out. My experience with her has made me question my importance in society. However, my experiences in other Home Depots have allowed me recover from this terrible experience from Kathy.
Great place to find daily home items
Clean store...helpful staff
Good product selection and fair prices. Am disappointed that they no longer offer 5% discount for home depot card holders (its been gone for a while but was helpful with big projects)
Home Depot got programs for all costumers for coupons and discounts. Promotions etc I’m a very happy costumer since 2005 thanks
Hamilton store not good Deanza store alot better. More product like firewood and plants.
Leaving a review for Charles in ToolRentals. Went to pick up a rug and upholstery steam cleaner. Charles was so friendly - helped me pick out a good cleaner that would work, stepped me through how to connect all the pieces and even connected them all in the store and turned it on to show me how to use it. He outlined the details of the contract very clearly and pleasantly. Really brightened my day! Thanks Charles!
I do not like their politics but they sure have a lot!
Home Depot tried and true how can you beat it they pretty much always have what you need at a fair price 🇺🇸🙏
Good selection of quality plants, fairly priced.
This home depot has the worse parking lot ive ever been in
Good And HOMELY FILLING FOR US🙂🙏🙏🙏😀
In and out so quick. Hoping the mask madness is done.
The signs for covid is a bit confusing. There are arrows and bunch of different signs, including exit signs, everywhere. However, once I got into the store, it was all smooth sailing. I was looking for moving boxes and an employee was able to point me to the right aisle right away. I went to self checkout, but the assistant ended up helping me scan everything anyways and I was able to checkout super quickly!
I orded parts for my Niagra toilet and they arrived on the day they promised .
Decent selection of items and plants though not as big as the ones in Santa Clara. Easy parking, and they do stock sanitzers at the entry.
This home depot is horrible. They charges me for cutting my own wood. And the cashier wore a plastic scary monster mask which does not seem to follow covid prevention practice. Cashier was very rude and told is that even if you cut your own wood you need to pay for cutting fee.
I was helped by a very courteous and kind man Charles in the Tools Rental department. He did a quick precision wood cut for me with a jigsaw without forcing me to rent the tool for an entire 4 hours. These are the type of people who go above and beyond in their service, who show true character and charity when those who come to them need it the most. This is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this Home Depot. Thank you Charles.
They are pretty well stocked in each department, minus face masks and germ killing cleaning supplies. So associates are less than helpful, but some go above and beyond. Employees help out to make sure the lines move as fast as possible.
This particular location is pretty good. It wasnt packed at all. Good job
I needed to make some repairs on the irrigation system at my home. Home Depot carried all the common diameter hoses to get the job done. I was able to get 1/2” tubing and some plugs, and droppers to setup extra watering of my grape plants. The staff are friendly and I have never experienced a line at this store. There is plenty of traffic. It’s certainly a busy place, but there are so many checkout paths that I have always been able to get in and get out quickly.
Rental - Emilio - no sense of business and community responsibility
Good service from Charles, very helpful. He wanted to help but the other guy refused to help me with the heavy equipment. Thanks charles for your help.
Store Employees need to know all Items where it those after telling to Customers.
Employees hardly help and they take too long to really help you
Well designed order of checking out
Just your average home depot. They take covid safety pretty seriously.
The sold me the best Snickers bar Ive ever had -Oh? You want me to talk abou-AH. The employees I didnt talk to so N/A. The products were delicious, especially the Flex-Tape and the flowers on display. 10/10.
Convenient location in Cupertino. Store is technically in San Jose, but everyone refers to this as the Cupertino Home Depot.
Best home Depot around.
Good luck, getting help finding anything. Company as a whole, cutting costs with self check out.Contractors and consumers hire some of the folks standing around outside. A couple are addicts. Contractors and consumers dont complete background checks on these day hires.
Cathy and John at the appliance section are very helpful, knowledgeable and and did their job with efficiency. Highly appreciated. I recommend buying appliance in this home depot as Ive tried another home depot and the other store by far not the same good experience.
One of the better home depots to go if you dont want to wait in a long line.
My sumsung note 10 plus phone be stolen at the casher place nearby
Found a good deal on a compressor...👍🏾👍🏾
Had to wait about 20 minutes in social distancing line. Picked a busy time. Found everything with ease. Checkout was quick.
My neighborhood Home Depot. Generally pretty good customer service. Folks are helpful and answer questions patiently. Their Garden center has wide variety of plants, well stocked. Parking lot is huge. Conveniently located in the middle of West San Jose and Cupertino.
