Used to love this place... Until the pathetic excuse for a Night Manager Tony Nguyen changed my entire outlook on this place. He showed me that they could care less about their customers. Rude, arrogant, smart mouthed, dropout needs some training on customer service. As does most of the guys that work there. If I didnt live so close and need the parts... I would never step foot in this location again. Unless maybe to see him after work someday... Now thats a thought... See you soon buddy.
I give it 4 stars just because I love auto parts stores in general. The line was pretty long and usually is, but at the same time it seems like AutoZone employees are always super cool. They seem to be helpful and personable, although oddly enough Ive discovered that none of them seem to know much about cars at all. Im a tall blonde chick and its usually me thats telling them whats up but aint nothing wrong with that
Staffs were very supportive. Their inventory meets my need almost every of my visits. I got most of my accord of market items here.
Placed an order online and 7 days later, no ready to pickup email. Called them and I was told it would be ready tomorrow. Went in on Day 8, was told again it would be ready tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went, and I called again on Day 10, it was not ready. I was told that Curtner store has it, but I must call them to confirm. I asked them if Curtner has it, do I need to pay again for it over there. The guy said let me see what we can do, then its another 15 minutes of hold. Now I was told I have to go to their store. Not sure why, if Alum Rock store doesnt seem to have it.You got to have some serious time at hand to deal with these guys. Going into their store isnt any better. A short line could mean a long wait. With the Delta variant coronavirus raging and many customer not wearing a mask, you better have nine lives to spare too.

The AC In my car needed a little coolant because it wasnt getting cold like it used to. A friend gave me a can of r 134a that he used a little out of, but he didnt have the hose/gauge/trigger. Luckily, the local Auto Zone had a loaner I got for free! After about 10 minutes, I got cold air again, many thanks!!
Employees stalk me...idk about other customers but every time I go in there one of the employees goes and stands by the front door. Noone was there when I came in so......they are illeterate about auto mechanics.
Positive experience so far. Had to wait in line a bit longer than expected but overall positive. Nothing negative so far. Parking is a little cramp cause they share it with another business. Will keep in my watch list and see what happens on my next visit

Worst customer service from Auto Zone in Alum Rock I have ever seen. Mr Tang yelling at me and other customers that we were not in the appropiate line. Theyre customer sign pointing the other direction really. Mr Tang continues humiliating, yelling at another employee and customers. It was a very toxic environment. I tell Mr Tang whos your manager/supervisor he ignores me. Then he yells me get out of the store because I spoke up told him stop the attitude and Yelling!. I will never go that store again its not worth being harassed and yelled at by Mr Tang who was way out of line. Shame on upper management allowing this employee disrespect, and mistreat customers.

Great knowledgeable staff. Only deducted a star because of the parking lot full of garbage and people loitering around and the fact that I can never bring my used oil here.
I wanted a part my AutoZone didnt have in stock. So they called and found one at the Alum Rock store. When I drove all the way out there I was told they didnt have it. The guy who checked when my store called checked the wrong part. It was now closing time and the car I was working on needed to be done by 7 am. It wasnt. When I went back to Alum Rock at the time I was told the part would be there 10:30 am it took two guys to find it. I left with what I needed around 11:30 with a 10% discount. Sure, the discount was a nice gesture form the guy trying to help me, but that didnt even cover my gas out there and back twice.

If you wanna buy anything thats not from the parts counter, you still have to wait in the parts line even though the sign says Parts/Returns on it. So if you just want some diesel exhaust fluid, you literally have to wait behind everyone else who are looking for parts.And to top it off the red shirt had some questionable customer service.Never going back to that store, thats for sure.

Quick and easy as per usual. The covid situation is treated fairly. The parking is easy and convenient. The unfortunate part is that their door was broken due to people taking an opportunity at theft. Good customer service.
I went to Autozone to have a car key cut. I brought my own key blank. They were very fast, curteous, and made the copy for free!
I always have a good experience at AutoZone its very organized and they seem to have other things in stock that other auto parts stores do not. All in all a very positive experience The items that they did not have in stock they were able to check another local AutoZone that did and I was able to pay for them at the first store and just pick them up at the second

Sometimes it is hard to find auto parts shops that accept used motor oil. I called in ahead of time in the morning and they told me they took in used motor oil. I drove in and the staff made it very easy to recycle both my used motor oil and filter.
They had what I needed when no other store didnt. Cant be mad at that.

I came back to the store after getting the wrong part for my car and the guy that was helping me had a bad attitude and very rude was trying to explain to him what i needed and he was rushing me and just gave me my refund and told me to go in a bad way really bad customer service no patience at all if he doesnt know how to have patience for people then this is not the right job for him and none of the workers are wearing name tags how do we suppose to give there name never coming here again

This place is awful. Counter guy picked up the phone and said hello!!! Really? I thought I called the guy cell. My parts was promised at 3, called at 6 since I didnt hear anything regarding my order. The guy picked up the phone n then told me its not ready and its still under picking?! I know its an auto parts store but I can say the its poorly manage. It always starts from the top.
10 min wait in line to be helped which isnt too bad considering its usually a 20mins or more when there busy. The AutoZone employee wasnt in uniform and had a pushy attitude but I knew what I was looking for even had a list written down. He seemed to know the computer and the vehicles and was able to get me all the parts without hesitation which made it easy for me.This AutoZone is also the warehouse so parts always available at this location at Jackson St in San Jose.
Employee are nice and helpful, manager not so much and rude. Was told to wait by manager, then he disappears for 10 min. Finally an employee helped me out and I was on my way. Manager needs to take a page out of their employees book.

This one consistently has the parts I need and theyre open reasonably late. Only thing is I came 5 minutes before close once and they had already locked up. They opened the door for us but I definitely felt bad about making them do that but it was nearly 11pm and I needed a fuse to get my car to work the next morning.
Good service, how ever employees should know the basics of car parts.. Google is not 105% correct all the time.
Every time I visit this location a bearded employee with glasses always stares at me and avoids helping me for the 1St 3-4 min. Which is a lot specially when he ovoids greeting me and other customers. Not even a have a good day after I spent my $ there.

I will never go back to this auto zone. I walk in and got some oil went to cash register. NO one working it I was told to get in line with people looking for parts 5th in line 25 minutes later my turn came up I told the guy I had 2 bottle on the shelf that I was tired of holding and he said do I have my papers I said I just wanted to pay for my oil and he gave me a look like he was retarded. I told him that I was going to give a bad review and he said he dont care. On my way out I seen a costume ask and was sent to the line that was 15 people long.
Every time I come here it never fails.. this place is beyond slow. Called in and had a part put on hold. Still takes 30 min to pick up a part. Painful every time I come

Hate there phone service you think by calling it would be better and more efficient. They Been trying to find my special order part for an hour that been paid for at the same time had to call like six times they kept hanging up.
It is one of the bigger AutoZones where the smaller AutoZones are said to use as a wherehouse. I think... I was distracted when I was listening to the employee at the first AutoZone where they couldnt check the battery as there wasnt the acceptable number of employees present in the other location. But this one typically has enough people ready as the bigger place.The battery was checked and thankfully they had the battery I needed. I was in and out in around 15 minutes.The Carls Jr across the street was closed. Sad.

I drove to one store to get an air filter lady said they have them in stock at another store so I drove all the way over there I waited in the long line for them to tell me they dont have it in stock I give AutoZone 1 * for the basic tune up items they dont have them in stock As for management skills general manager need to get his stores on the right track
