Best E bike shop in California! Previously, I had contacted several prominent E bike shops only to find they didn’t have the bike I was looking for, and didn’t know when they might be able to get it. They put me on indefinite wait lists, and I have never heard back from them. Scott was responsive to my inquiries, his shop has an incredible inventory of bikes. He had the bike and size I wanted in stock, and held it for me till I could get there. He had the model of bike my wife wanted, but not the size. Even with the big bike shortage, he contacted me within a few weeks with the news that he received the bike we wanted, in the size we needed, and once again held it for me for over a week as I was on vacation. Really nice folks to work with!

My husband and I made an appointment with this store and it was our first ever experience with E-bikes. Scott was so patient and explained everything to us. He reassured all would be okay and that I wouldn’t press GO 🚀 and pop a wheelie clear down State street at 30 MPH.After some instructions, he handed us keys 🔑 and we were riding different bikes for over an hour. Scott told us about each one in detail. He was so passionate about his job and he knew his products backwards and forwards!We ended up going with a Tern E-bike and the cargo area in the back can carry my teenage daughter. We installed the Tern Foot Pegs and a basket on the front for groceries. 🚲 🥕 🍎 🥖I went from not being on a bike in years because of my bad knees to now I’m riding every single day!! Seasides 🌊 and sunshine 🌞. I’m out there! I am a different person now! My husband can’t believe it.I also recommend the incredibly sturdy German bike lock he has that stays connected to your bike!Thank you so much Scott and Team! You changed my world!

Scott accommodated me by allowing me to try out two bikes. I was conflicted regarding two completly differing styles. He suggested I ride both; in the end I opted for the very comfy, cushy, full suspension Bulls mountain bike. It is awesome and I dont feel beat up after a long ride. Scott was honest and knowledgeable. His team swapped out my handle bars, my seat and I was on my way. I have no hesitation referring people to this shop. Great buying experience. It was like Christmas in May, during a pandemic! Electric Bikes of Santa Barbara rocks!

So disappointed by a recent experience at this bike store. We purchased a Gazelle e-bike last month in San Diego, and when we got to Santa Barbara we discovered that the lights and the lock dont function. We looked up the Gazelle dealer in town (Electric Bikes of SB) figuring we would just pop down so they could have a quick look, fully prepared to pay for any service work. I was surprised when the woman in the store quickly announced that they could not help me because I didnt buy the bike from them. When I pointed out that I didnt buy it in town from a competitor, couldnt travel the 8+ hours round trip to have a light serviced, and would happily pay for service, she snottily added that we prioritize our own customers. Big Mistake.....we went to FastTrac bikes 3 minutes away, spent $4200 on an e-bike bike for my husband, and they kindly offered to service my Gazelle even though they dont sell that brand. Electric BIkes was short-sighted. lost a decent sale, and earned this review.

This is such an awesome store with so much inventory. The owner Bob and his co worker Scott and so friendly and helpful. If you are ever in Santa Barbara I highly recommend going by this store and trying out a bike. Scott and Bob answered all of my questions, they knew everything about all the products I was interested in. I left the store feeling no pressure to buy anything but in the near future when Im ready to buy this is 100% the place i will go!!!

Visiting Santa Barbara on a cruise ship we bumped into this little E Bike Shop. Was very impressed with the overall selection of e-bikes here as well as the knowledge of the staff on current available ebikes pros and cons. Own a full E Giant mountain bike now but plan to make my 2019 Haibike purchase at this little shop by taking the train from Carlsbad to Santa Barbara. Feel a need to support specialty shops like this so they stay around. YES, that impressed with this place.

Scott is the man there. He went above and beyond to help me get my first ebike. Its so much fun I got my friend to get one from him also.He loved it so much that he now is on his 3rd bike bought from him. We ride up in Mammoth all the time and last time ran into a lady who is also on her 3rd bike from Scott. The problem is that every year they get so much better! Typical of new technology.

So in short went a bought a tube and some grips for the cruiser, asked may I borrow a wrench just so I can pop the tire over? Absolutely not was his response....really are you not a bike shop? Ok how much for you to change it? A week!!! Come on this is Santa Barbara, you wont last long with that attitude!! Remember bring your tool box if you need something fixed at this bike shop

I was searching for a replacement battery charger for my ebike that I was struggling to find. I called Electric Bikes of Santa Barbara and they said to bring my battery down and they could help me out. I brought my battery in and was immediately helped. Before examining my battery, the gentleman laid down a towel so my battery would not get scratched on the table. Nice attention to detail. Next he took a couple of readings with his volt meter do determine the exact charger I needed. They had the correct charger, but unfortunately the connector plug my battery required was obsolete. He searched his shop and found the plug that I needed from an old charger. He gave me this plug at no extra charge. He talked me through the steps required to connect the old plug to my new charger. Very helpful! Im happy to say Ive made the easy modification and I successfully charged my bikes battery last night.I found the people at eBikes of Santa Barbara to be very friendly. The service was way beyond my expectations. My next bike will be purchased from them!

These guys and this store are the best! A year ago my wife and I both bought Haibikes from them and we love them. We live in Bishop in the Eastern Sierra Mountains and ride backcountry trails on them all the time. Three days ago I noticed Id lost a bracket that holds on the bike controller. With no dealer in town, I called them and they sent it to me in the mail at no charge. It arrived in 2 days and Im back on the road. Thanks much, well stop by the next time were in SB where our families live.

So far, so good. Really liked the service here. We are getting repairs done on our older model Felt ebike. Daimon was super knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of the bike. We pick it up next week and anticipate great results.

So Happy with my new purchase and the Shop I bought it from.First let me say, if you havent tried a new pedal assist ebike you are missing out, especially if you not a fit bit 19 year old kid anymore. I used to ride our local mountains all the time, but with time and age I am just not the same rider I used to be. NOW I CAN ENJOY RIDING OUR MOUNTAINS AGAIN !I went in on a Thursday and met Scott who was very informative super friendly and non pushy. He let me try some bikes and answered every question I could think of... After 2+ hours if asking questions, trying, testing and thinking I went home and did a little homework only to find out we just happen to have one of the best ebike shops around right here in Santa Barbara and the service is second to none .They have a massive selection of bikes and options and carry best leading brands. By Friday I was ready to buy, went back into the shop, met Bob the owner who is super nice guy. I love supporting local Santa Barbara Businesses that run a good business. Mat and Kevin helped me get the bike all set up for me and then I went out the door on my new bike.... AND WOW SO MUCH FUN ! I feel like I have bionic legs and can zoom around town or head up to the mountains. You just have to try it!Thanks You Ebikeszzz of Santa Barbara! Good products & good, knowledgeable people. I and a friend both bought iZip eBikes from Scott at eBikezzz earlier this year and we agree it was one of the best purchases weve ever made.Update Feb. 2016: Weve had our ebikes almost a year now and find that we ride a lot more and a lot further than we did on our old, regular bikes. So instead of getting less exercise, were getting a lot more. Both bikes are holding up well with no problems. Highly recommended.Update September 2019: Both bikes still going strong, batteries still OK after 4 years of riding about 25-40 miles per week (we both use pedal-assist and only use the throttle for starting and passing). My friend had to replace his controller and weve both replaced our inner tubes with heavy-duty tubes, but otherwise no problems.
