Making an appointment was a breeze. I received regular appointment reminders in the days leading up to my appointment.The doctor was very pleasant and knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had.Selecting the frame and lens was also very easy and I am quite pleased with the service I received. Holly was extremely helpful and explained my options in detail.Id definitely recommend to others and shop for glasses here again.
This review is for the Optical Center (though I left a separate review for Dr. Yang and Dr. Shah who I think are awesome!). I like coming here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with a good selection of frames and sales. Great, local optics shop!
Wow! Holly! Is amazing! My glasses had defect from the lab. And she was great at ordering me a new pair. I thought only the lenses but no since she noticed something was wrong with my frames as well. She got me a whole new pair! She is great and also recommended if she wasn’t there upon my return to ask for Alfredo and he will help me adjust my frame! I love this place they are great and provide wonderful customer service and go above and beyond.
I recently came in for an eye exam and wow! I had a wonderful experience. The doctor answered all my questions and was able to explain everything we were looking at to help determine the best prescription for me (looking at my old prescription, understanding my daily habits, concerns, etc). I was also hesitant about getting fitted for contacts and she talked me through all my options and encouraged me to go with the spectacles until I’m ready for them.Afterwards, Alfredo in the showroom was extremely helpful in fitting and helping me pick out the perfect frame that complemented my face. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable experience and since I was looking at the frames alone, understood the style I was looking for and helped me land on a frame.I was told my frames would be ready in ~ 2 weeks, but they were ready for pickup in less than a week! When I came to try them on Cathy was super helpful and helped to adjust the temple tips so that they fit better on my face, and ensured I was happy with the fit.Thank you to the wonderful team for such a great experience. I would highly recommend Target Optometry and their staff is the best!
Spectacular experience here getting my full eye exam and two prescriptions for eye glasses and contact lenses! I called the store prior to visiting hoping to make an appointment ASAP to purchase contacts before my travel plans. Alfredo went above and beyond to notify me that there was an appointment spot released last minute.I booked it without hesitation, visited the store, for everything I needed plus more. Dr. Christine Yang is amazing and so is all of her stuff. Super easy to make an appointment and very easy to reschedule! I cannot recommend her enough

This review is for Target Optical, not the Optometrist. Dr. Yang is awesome by the way.My issue is with my last visit. I came in to check on the status of a pickup that had take about 3 weeks. I spoke to the lady associate on the call and she was very helpful and kind. She mentioned that there was an issue with the order (I think they marked it for delivery and didnt have the right address, but I had opted for pick up). She told me they would next day the package. I went in the next day to get an understanding for when the contacts would arrive. She went to check to see if they had arrived in the back.This is where things kind of went negative. The gentleman associate who was there when she left was not only dismissive but when she called to tell him to tell me the contacts hadnt arrived yet he refused to tell me when they may arrive. He just told me that I would need to contact the manager to get an estimated time for contacts that were ordered for next day. Im not sure if I just didnt fit his description for the clientele hes used to but I found him to be extremely rude and incompetent.Update* They fixed the issue. The gentleman is no longer there.

This review is for Target Opticals and not for Optometrists inside Target. Lady store associate is rude and very unhelpful. They only allow you to try on 5 frames per visit. They also dont enter the details properly and dont notify you when your glasses are ready for pickup. I called them to check status of my order after 1 week of placing the order and I was told that my order was not ready and when I called again after one week they said that they had sent me a message for order pickup and that it was ready from last week. So the order was basically ready for pickup just after 4 days but they didnt care to let me know or even give a correct status when I called. Although they have some nice collection of mens frames but I would recommend checking somewhere else where you can get your glasses on time.
They gave me the wrong prescription twice. When I paid nearly $200 to get retested through my actual doctor. I found out that the glasses and prescription were off.I then called both corporate and the stores customer support number who informed me that no refund was available.DO NOT GET EYE EXAMS AT THIS FACILITY!My prescriptions were off by more than 1.00 on each eye.
Dr Shah is very good, professional and answered all my questions. I really recommend her.
Dr. Christine Yang is so kind, friendly, and professional! She is a great individual to talk to and she answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. I went in for an eye exam and contact lens fitting and she ensured that I walked out of her office with all that I need to use them.
Get this: i lost my contacts while I was visiting and they wouldnt replace them (my prescription was unexpired and I was already a target optical customer)Target optical is privately operated so they dont share each others medical record system. Stay away!
This is a review for Target Optical, not Dr. Yang. Dr. Yang is fantastic.I ordered both glasses & contacts from Target. They sent me the wrong contacts brand, I had to call and have them re-ordered. On top of that, they never put in new lenses into the frame I brought in. I followed up with them about 6 weeks later and they said that my frame wasnt eligible. They couldve at least called me, whyd I have to ask to find out 6 weeks later?
Dr. Christine Yang is an amazing person and great doctor too. she addressed all your questions and concerns patiently. She is very polite and warm and joyous. I recommend her strongly.Target optics is a bit expensive i felt.
Dr. Yang is professional and answered all my questions. I appreciate that it was easy to schedule an appointment online without having to call in and how I was able to start my appointment early because I arrived early. Most Drs keep you waiting. She was able to discuss my vision needs without pressuring me to purchase any type of product in particular.
This is my 3rd time in here, customer service and environment it’s really good. No complaints at all. I don’t know why I see so bad comments in here ... I had my appointment at 3 o’clock and I got there earlier than spected and I was helped before my appointment time. Thumbs up for one of the associates in there really friendly and helpful with all my questions.

I thought Dr. Yang did a fantastic job. She was able to see me right on time. She explained everything very well and was quite patient. Im not sure why some of the other commenters here had such issues. I think they may be confusing the lens and frame business next door with Dr. Yangs optometry office. Dr. Yang only provides exams and prescriptions. She doesnt sell the actual glasses.
Horrible experience here on several occasions. Had my appointment lost and had to wait 90min to get squeezed in. Optometrist seemed inexperienced. Had a pair of sunglasses ordered and they never came. They will not answer their phone during business hours. This place is in serious need of decent management.
I have been going to Target Optical in Santa Clara for the past 3 years now and the service is nothing less than outstanding! I have always scheduled an appointment ahead of time and once was able to get a same day appointment! Dr. Yang and Dr. Guo (the optometrists) were always on-time, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and time efficient. This is the place to go for a great eye exam. They also have a wonderful selection of baller brand frames like Ray Ban and Armani and whatevers clever. Check them out because they even have great promotional sales. I feel like I get a better deal on frames + lenses here than my previous spots.
Dr and service have been great. Billed my insurance, open Saturdays, and always give me contact samples.
Very bad experience. I went there to get my glasses repaired. Rather than repairing it, they broke it. On top of it they told they were doing out of courtesy and can’t be blamed about.
Dr. Yang is terrible. I wasted my one year insurance to work with her and got a pair of glasses that I could not wear. I had to see another doctor in Mountain view and was told that Dr. Yangs measurement was significant higher than actually needed, which was the reason that I felt so much uncomfortable to wear it.She is less experienced and lack of patient, which defines her lack of future for this business.She should quite, rather than waste other peoples time and resources.
I rarely leave a review of my shopping experience but this is so appaling and I want to warn other potential clients. I had scheduled an eye exam for May 2nd and before I could get to the doctor, I had some extra time, so I asked if I could have the glasses that I bought at Target Optical before adjusted as they were getting a bit loose. The answer was yes, they could do that. But, unfortunately when popping out the lenses, they broke the frame. They said that it was at my own risk and they had no responsibilty for braking the frame. I could not believe it. I complained and did not accept it. So they called their manager who did not want to talk with me directly.So, I decided to leave and go somewhere else for my eye exam. I have called the store manager twice and asked for an explanation but she could not help because Target Optical is an indenpendent franchise. They promised that they would have Target Optical call back. They never did. So, I assume that is their policy which I find completely unaccetable and I will never go to Target Optical again.
I dont know why the employee here is so stupid. Got my frame wrong . When I told her its not the one I ordered,she said she will order a new frame and put the lens into the new one . She even didnt know the two frames are in different shape until I told her that. Took another 9days to get the new one. The new glasses have arrived there for two days, they didnt call me to pick it up until I called them several times. Worst experience ever! Train your employees!
SNAILS PACE office. It has taken over FOUR weeks just for my trial pair of contacts to arrive. Useless. Then it sounds like it will take ANOTHER three weeks for my first shipment of disposable lens to arrive. By that time, nearly 2 months will have passed.
Horrible experience !!!! Got a bad eye exam done and then got stuck with a poorly fitted and wrong prescription glasses. Never going back to this place again for an eye exam or anything to do with eyes
I called ahead to make an appointment and ask if they accepted my vision insurance. The woman who answered the phone said they did accept it according to her books. When I came for my appointment and did the paperwork, she took back what she said because she did not know how insurance works. Another employee then told me I would have to pay out of pocket. Wow!The employees here so are inconsiderate! I wasted my time coming here and because they gave me false information. They basically reeled me in to rip me off.Please train your employees!
