I worked with Jon at BMW Santa Maria. Jon is responsive attentive and really helpful through the process. We did the entire process over email so it was very easy. And the pick up experience was also smooth. When I arrived, Jon already prepare everything for me. He walked me through some of the information and had another sales walked me through the tech of the car. We spent maybe 10m max signing the legal docs. The pick up took me less than an hour with the education session included. Overall, I can’t ask for more. It was a great experience and will def be returning.

Please allow me to quickly summarize my purchasing experience at BMW Santa Maria.Initial selection/sales process very friendly and efficientPurchasing process initially professional, specifically requested that both (front and back) car license plate holders are mountedFirst attempt to pick up car – no front license plate holder installedSecond- car was handed over without any floor mats present (I had to ask for it, and they had to be ordered and all-weather ones were supplied instead of regular ones due to inventory issues!)Third- one (of two) car key supplied with low battery (battery was replaced)Fourth- No wheel lock key (or any tool) supplied with car and when faced with a slow tire leak was unable to remove the wheel.My attempt to quickly solve this through the Santa Maria dealership resulted in a rather “Kafkaesque” experience:-Provide VIN so key can be ordered-Bring in the car (VIN doesn’t work) to identify what key needs to be ordered and should arrive in a day or two.-Oh no, Keys are all back ordered and will take at least 6-8 weeks to get here from Germany!-Bring in the car, so the service dept. can evaluate the issue and potentially remove the lock, earliest appointment available 4 days from now!! (all the while I have a slow leak in the tire) and leave the car for 4 hours!!!-Received a call form sales manager which at best added to the confusion and at worst was insulting since he condescendingly suggested to look again in all car compartments, questioned whether a third party removed a never present wheel lock key, and left the situation in an even more confusing and unsolved situation.-This last conversation made it very clear to me that trying to solve this issue -created by the Santa Maria Dealership handing over a car without proper tools supplied- was proving to be fruitless.The next day, Tuesday, I contacted BMW San Luis Obispo, explained the situation, was seen by the service department the same day and left one hour later with the issue solved.

I continue to be blown away with the service department. Armondo does an amazing job ensuring I am always well taken care of. I have had a couple small issues with used cars I have bought here (thats normal with a used car) and every time they have made it more than right. I will be a customer for life. I have owned 5 BMWs and continue to love these cars especially knowing I can count on our local dealership to exceed my expectations. My Salesman was Joseph and I can call him anytime needed and he helps with the car I purchased from him. Keep up the great work, the entire team including the managers is stellar.

Extremely pleasant experience purchasing our first BMW. We were not sure between two models and they were patient with us. The sales person had the answers and gave us our space to figure it out. Salesman: Joseph MurguiaFinance Manager: Jonathan ZarrateeSales Manager Rudy CorreaMy wife and I went to look at a truck and ended up buying it. Jonathan met us outside and took us straight to the truck and let us take it for a test ride. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle and had great customer service. Rudy worked with us on the price of our trade-in and the price of the vehicle to get it to a point I was comfortable. He was also able to work in a good deal on the warranty. Jonathan was helpful with all of the paperwork and working with us on getting the vehicle that night (we froze our credit and didnt unfreeze it because we werent expecting to buy that night) All of this is typically expected...What set them apart is that their customer service didnt end after the sale. It did require a bit of a nudge to remind them what we needed but they always followed through. They located the second key, retrieved all of the specs for the vehicle (I was looking for the towing capacity), and said they would get us a front licence plate carrier at no-cost (still waiting on this one...more nudging). They were very accommodating to my pregnant wife and 14 month old child during the entire process.The ONLY negative of my experience with BMW of Santa Maria is they advertised the truck with larger trailer mirrors (they usually run $250-300) and I liked them because I tow a lot. The truck did not have them on there, though. When I asked Rudy about it he said something about the quality check of all of their vehicles and they probably had to remove them for that reason. Between the ad going up and use buying the truck in a couple of days...they somehow managed to get the OEM mirrors with matching paint. I have a feeling they put the trailer mirrors on there to make the truck appear larger in the advertisement. This was somewhat irritating but it didnt kill the overall satisfaction.They will take care of you if you go here. It may require some nudging to get stuff done, but they work with you.

I want to thank my son for a great job in finding Jon Shafer, Internet Sales Manager, in his search of a 2021 X7, especially right after I had to cancel a day old lease contract, due to fraud by a dealer in OC, that I leased a car from before, with prior good experience, now bought by another dealer in OC, people should be very cautious or drive a little away from LA and OC for peace of mind!Jon Shafer is the one you want to get a car from, with no hassle, super friendly, very professional, efficient, unbelievably trustworthy, only after a couple of emails, he offered us an unbeatable family deal, both my son and I built and ordered our car from Jon, he kept us well informed, offered great advice, and sent us pictures of our new car, etc. and now my son is happily getting an X6 from him for my daughter-in-law.It’s definitely worth the 3-hour drive to pick up our car, after a scenic drive through Santa Barbara, everyone in the modern and spacious dealership was all smiles and congratulated us for getting a new car, even though we only dealt with Jonathan Zarathustra, Finance Manager, and Fabrice Gardon, BMW Genius, both were courteous, efficient and helpful, super sharp and thoughtful Fabrice took time helped me setting up so many things, so useful yet I never knew about the features, and demoed for me the new features like massage (not worth paying for if you could barely feel the movement.) and new screen displays for parking assist, etc.No hassle at all for the lease end return, after handing Jon our keys, what a night and day difference, the unscrupulous dealer in OC, lied about our mere 17k-mile two rear tires got low thread, and that $800 fee their sales manager said will be waived, appeared along with thousands of cash down on a no down lease, instead of the MSD we requested, they tried very hard we won’t get a hard copy to review before signing, by only provide us the signature rectangular blank spots on iPad to sign!One hard to believe surprise was right after I turned on the cruise control heading out of the dealership yesterday, immediately I felt the steering wheel is being controlled by the car, I only had to keep my hands loosely on, and be vigilant about the drive, my brand new 2021 X5 45e, expertly steered and took me safely home through the winding mountain roads of SR 154, always packed US 101, I-5 and I-605. I think somehow I end up with an improved version of the same year and same model, the one I returned also tried to take the control of the steering wheel, a couple of times I had to fight to get on the freeway, other than that I didn’t notice anything close to self-driving.

I will follow Jon Shafer anywhere. I’ve leased multiple cars from him and have sent more than a couple fitness and colleagues his way who have also gotten cars from him. Picking up my X3M was the best and worth the 4 hour drive from San Diego. Fabrice — the BMW Genius — Cameron, the New Car Manager, we also extremely friendly and helpful. Even the Finance Dept. which I usually find the most annoying at most dealerships, was super easy to deal with. Overall, another great experience with Jon Shafer in the books!!!

I got a very rare 2 days off in the middle of the week. Called yesterday morning to make an appointment with the Service Center. The lady on the phone asks me to hold while she finds the Appointment Coordinator. A few minutes later she returns explaining that the Appointment Coordinator is busy with customers. She asks if I would like to leave a voice message with my name and number so they can call me back, or just bring the car in without an appointment. I decided to leave a message. Towards the end of the day I hadnt heard back from them, so I decided to just drive over and see them in person before they close. When I get there, I explain to a gentleman outside that I wasnt expecting to get seen since they were about to close. I just wanted to make an appointment or confirm that they take walk-ins since I can just get there first thing in the morning. He assures me that they take walk-ins and tells me to bring it in the next day. I arrive here today 15 minutes before they open to insure Im their first customer. Sure enough, I go to the Service Center and explain what I need(the check engine light came on). The guy tells me they are booked up for at least a week. I explain to him what happened the day before. He explaines to me that it doesnt work that way and they cant fit me in... Im leaving 2 stars because they were at least generally polite.

I will gladly give these people 0, not even 1. They were nice with me during process in getting the car to me, when they checked my credit (twice) for some reason and I got approved, they supposed to send final paper to sign. I didn’t heard them couple days even if I tried. I thought I got right car so I was pushing things a little bit. After couple of days they told me that car is actually sold on auction to dealer and they will do their best to find something similar for me. Credit check is good for 3 months and they have enough time to find good deal. Those 3 months are passed, I had 1 offer from sales guy, he wanted to kill me with that offer because I was calling, he saw I wanted car, so he thought he will catch good money on me. After that they didn’t offer anything, or answered when I called. At the end, 2 inquiries for nothing.

The worst experience. I would never recommend a friend, family member or complete stranger to come here. Its been the biggest headache! I bought my car 3 months ago and I am still dealing with things Ive later realized were dishonest and slimy. Ive had to go back and resign paperwork 3 times because they keep making mistakes/ leaving things out we discussed and agreed on. We signed paperwork for a interest rate knowing I told them I wouldnt go with their loan services if it were any more than the rate they offered. Then 10 days later they came back and raised the interest rate significantly. Regardless of the fact that we had already signed legally binding paperwork and they took my car trade in and sent me home with the new one....Additional issues with the agreement we made on the warranty. They told me it would be a $0 deductible as long as I get my car fixed with them. Somewhere in the many times I had to resign that got taken off. I asked for it to be fixed and they have ignored all my calls and emails.

Avoid all cost at Coast BMW Nissan, they have bad customer service and they deceive their customers with fake reviews with hiding negative feedback till those customers realize they have been conned by Coast BMW Nissan. Me and my fiancée came in Thursday January 30th to look at your used E92 M3. We have a ton of others M3’s we are looking at and we just wanted to come in to take a closer look at the car and it’s features. We were not too keen on purchasing it because of the color and since in had some cosmetic defects. Your salesman Joseph Murguia was our first point of contact at the dealership and offered us a test drive which we didn’t refuse because we were interested in how the car drove. After the test drive we told him we didn’t really like the color, the interior scratches, or the damaged bumper and thanked him for his time. He insisted we come inside to “just run the numbers” and we agreed out of curiosity. Both me and my fiancée asked him several times whether “running the numbers” would be a soft inquiry or a hard inquiry into her credit, and he assured us more than once that it would not affect the score even a tiny but and quote: “nothing to worry about”.We left the dealership after telling Joseph and you that we needed to look at our finances. Our finances are fine, we just weren’t happy with the color of the car and the price it was at given it’s mileage and condition. We were planning on coming back and working out a final deal with Joseph to buy the car, until my fiancée checked her credit score, which had dropped by 30 points due to not one but TWO hard inquires issued by your dealership. This is a massive drop and will take a long time to recover, and will mess with our ability to get student loans and purchase a home. When my fiancée spoke with Joseph on the phone he was very rude to her and refused to acknowledge that he had lied about the credit check. He called her a liar and was unprofessional. He told her “it’s obvious it would be a hard credit check”. Well it wasn’t obvious to us since he assured us it wouldn’t be, we specifically asked him about this.Our family has 4 BMW’s that have been regularly serviced there and 2 that have been bought from there. They are all upset over this and will no longer service or purchase BMW’s there again, unless this issue can be resolved. When you spoke to us you were very professional and weren’t pushy, but in contrast you salesman Joseph was very pushy and unprofessional, calling us liars and acting like purchasing a car is nothing. We are very unhappy with this and will be sure to leave a bad review. Hopefully you can contact us so we can talk about this.

I have experienced bad car dealerships before but it seems they were doing their best to ensure us they had a car for us and the trouble they went to get that car for was a good deal all the way around. COLASSAL WASTE OF TIME. Called this morning to schedule a test drive. Scheduled for about four hours later and they stated they had the car there. On my way down there (I told them I lived an hour away) they called to tell me that they didnt have the car on the lot. It was loaned out earlier that day. I had already made the drive down with the kids and the gf and wasted a day off and the gas to get there. Thank God I didnt come from out of the area. They told me they would get it there. If youre thinking about driving from out of town dont bother. Just a big sorry we didnt know it wasnt here. Even after I called to ask them if it was. Dont even waste your time. Buy elsewhere.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in November of 2015. It was known at the time of sale that the air conditioning was not properly functioning, and the part needed to fix it would be arriving in two days. I returned the vehicle to have the part installed; this did not fix the problem. They held the vehicle for over almost two weeks attempting to fix this issue. Thankfully they gave me a loner vehicle. During this time period I never received status updates regarding my vehicle and never received phone calls back when I requested an update.When my vehicle was finally fixed, I was called and told I could pick up my car. They lied, the air conditioning was not properly fixed. When I called to tell them it was not fixed they told me I could drop it off but this time no loner car would be available because they dont offer that. I told them that the had previously issued me a loner vehicle and they responded with we will look into this and call you back; I never received a call back.I am now in the process of obtaining legal council due to breach of contract. DO NOT do business with this company. They are unethical and do not follow through on their obligations.

I had to get my car serviced and it was great. I thought that Abe and Josh were very personable and really helped me realize what was wrong with my car. I also loved how they had snacks and coffee and a place were I could sit while I waited for my car. Although I didnt buy my car there I thought it was a little distracting when all the salesman rushed to food when it came in. I also felt that they were very loud and very uncomfortable while they watched the TV over my shoulder. Other than that service was great! I am will for sure go back!

A good friend of mine raves about this place. Went there to check out a car that was advertised and came up on a Google search. Walked up to a couple couldnt be bothered sales reps. May have been my sensitive side but immediately got the vibe that Im not worthy of the Maserati GT I was interested in. Ima spend my money somewhere where the know the vehicle, have it on site, and dont have attitude. It has been a “no it’s not our fault” “sorry the warranty doesn’t cover that” and “you will need to talk to BMW HQ.” BMW has lost another client. 0 stars if available, Ive never had bad service here till these past weeks, I called BMW of Santa Maria to get a price quote on service on my x5 and x1 and the service lady checked and told me that both vehicles were still under factory maintenance warranty I also told them.that my x1 had something lose in the engine bay, so I was excited and made appointment with a loner. I took both of my vehicles in the next Thursday when I got there Romone told me that they werent under factory warranty and they wanted to charge me 1000 dollars for both vechales they also told me they didnt want to fix the x1 . I came in the this Memorial Day to bring the loaner back and a woman named Trish came out very rudely and asked me if I needed anything and if I was looking for somebody and I told her I was just dropping off the loaner car so I could pick up both of my cars she was very rude and very disrespectful in front of my kids and told me that they could not release my car is because the service people were not there now Ramon is calling me and telling me that they are going to charge my card if I dont bring back their loaner I told them okay well youll have to bring them to me if you want them or youll have to wait till Thursday which is my day off. he then proceeded to tell me that he will only bring one car I have tried several times to get ahold of Josh Luna the service manager and Nick Henderson the general manager have not received any phone call from them and feel really disrespected Ive always told people to come here to make the 30-minute Drive because their service was great now they have proved me wrong

Beware! Had them mess up vital work on my 2007 335i, 3 times in a row! Terrible terrible work. Dont get me wrong Abe the service advisor has been wonderful to me, but the work performed is not up to standard. I was even told a MASTER MECHANIC worked on my vehicle. This really scares me knowing that a master mechanic would do such an awful job. Took the car in for a valve cover job under warranty, not only was the job done wrong the first time, but they ended up replacing it again because they didnt clean any of the spark plug sockets and it fouled my spark plugs. The final mistake was made while doing repairs to the oil pan, the subframe bolts were left hand loose. Not only is that life threatening ordeal, but not ok at all for a third mistake. I have much respect for some of these guys as Ive been going to the dealership for 2 years now without problems. I was attempting to get in contact with the manager of the dealership to try and figure things, because of the ridiculous mistake made. I was told we were going to have a meeting to discuss this like adults, but apparently the manager had different plans. Not only was a decision made without even consulting me, but I felt very much disrespected that he would not talk to me face to face. I will not be going back here and I will be filing a complaint with BMW of NA to attempt to remedy this problem from occurring to someone else, before any gets into an accident because of this.For a BMW dealership I am not impressed at all with this kind of work.

I rarely ever leave reviews but I felt it was needed to let people know that this was my first experience leasing a car and my last. The service for oil changes was always top notch however at lease signing, I put down $2500 to cover applicable taxes and then when I turned in my lease, I got a bill from BMW Financial Services that said I owed a disposition fee and a sales/use tax plus wear charges (which I had purchased the insurance for any wear on the vehicle). It was quite a shock when I was only expecting to pay my last car payment and be done. This is very misleading and It should be mentioned by the sales rep at lease signing. I am a single mother on a limited income and now have to figure out a way to pay this. BMW of Santa Maria said they would submit my insurance info to the insurance company for wear and tear however I am still stuck with a $350 disposition fee and a $73 sales/use tax on top of my remaining payment. So disappointed with BMW. I will never buy or lease another vehicle from them again. That’s bad business.

I bought a used 2007 car, paid top price for it, no haggling. 6 months later the battery failed. I phoned and tried text window conversation with them, i was ignored both times. I can cope with them not wanting to make a warranty on something that in their eyes took place long ago. But being rude, not returning calls is callous, juvenile and cheap. I wont go there ever again.

Bought certified pre-owned BMW here, it has been a great car. I have only had it serviced hereand the service has been fantastic. I am bias to this place due to the fact I have a few friends here, but that doesnt mean I need to keep buying cars here or using the service dept. However I have recommended friends to buy here and the ones that have feel the same way I do.Like the old saying If it aint broke, dont try to fix it nothing to fix here.I will continue to buy here as long as i am driving!

I was actually just ranting about a completely different dealership and how horrible it was and then I compared it to the amazing people at Santa Maria, it has been a while but i remember it like it was yesterday.Driving up to SF from LA when this light turns on a light that has been mysteriously popping up and when you turn of the car it disappears never to be found again. I showed up to Santa Maria and well they treated me like a person and boy was that fantastic compared to the arrogant people that i sometimes deal with at an unmentioned audi dealership.The guys at Santa Maria took me in immediately helped me out, and sent me on my way. I really could not ask for more. They were amazing and super helpful!I do not know how to praise your awesome efforts anymore than randomly bringing up in a conversation a dealership that is over 100 miles away from me and saying, this is what you guys need to be like!!!!Thanks again!

I have a vehicle with a current airbag recall. I have been in touch with BMW of Santa Maria for over 3 months. I followed up every 2 weeks and was told the part was unavailable. I am a tenured member with the BMW Car Club of America and work with several BMW independent repair shops. I noticed that several people with similar vehicles where having their airbags replaced with no mention of a backorder. I decided to call BMW of North America. I was told the airbag is available and BMW of Santa Maria was looking at an old part number which had been updated. BMWNA went above and beyond to email the dealership with the new part number and ask them to order the airbag. BMWNA then set me an appointment 3 weeks out even though the representative said 1 week would of been sufficient to ensure the airbag was ordered and had arrived.After making babysitting arrangements, taking a day off of work and driving 30 minutes each way, I arrived for my appointment. After going through the entire check in process the Service Advisor decided to check if the airbag was there. Glad he did because it wasnt. Both SAs working apologized and I was told the person that handles airbags is on vacation.I called BMW of North America back. They left a message for the case manager that helped me originally. She called back shortly and let me know she researched the issue and has all of the screenshots and sent emails to the dealership. She let me know that BMW of Santa Maria dropped the ball and did not order the airbag.I am disgusted with BMW of Santa Maria. I am a General Manager for a large business in San Luis Obispo. I am actively involved in the BMW Car Club of America and in the Porsche Club of America. I am an Instructor with Tire Rack Street Survival and BMW Car Club. I am a Michelin Tire Ambassador. I am also a Concours Automotive Judge. I will ensure that anyone inquiring about a vehicle in regards to Service or Sales does not go to BMW of Santa Maria.I will also be reaching out to Roundel magazine as well as some contacts I have made through National. Today my time and money was wasted and due to that investment I will see this issue through.I will not return to your dealership and please dont leave a fake please contact me message after this review.
