Luis and Matt worked really hard to present us a deal we couldn’t refuse. They also gave us a great value for our trade-in. In this current car market, we were fortunate to find such a great car at our local dealership just a few minutes down the street. The entire process was one of the easiest and fastest car buying experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you so much!
This placut has to be inspected by barMy wife bought a 2008 vw bug that piece of junk has been in for multiple issues. First the sales man forgeg my signature, later on, just last week headlight bulbs burning a lot this is the third time, quote there was some wires touching the metal that was the problem, my wifes naive so this guys take advantage of her, iam calling th bar for fraud. I never had a vw newest type thought. So if youre a person who appreciates to get nailed, without even notice it . Theyll love you for being so stupid. Haaa mtf.
THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO PLAN TO TAKE HIS VEHICLE FOR SERVICE AT COMMUNITY VOLKSWAGON IN SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIAThe water pump in my 2013 VW CC had a leak. VW of America had identified the premature malfunction and the problem with the faulty pump and extended the warranty on the pump for 10 years or 100.000 miles. I took the car to Community Volkswagen in Santa Maria for service to perform the recall. The service manager did deny any knowledge regarding the recall and was setting me up to pay for the costly repair. After speaking with the owner, he tried to downplay and dismiss the attempt made by his service manager. He did schedule a service appointment for me, and the service was done approximately a week later. There, the dealer trained mechanic assigned to the vehicle along with the shop foreman, both certified that the repair was completed, and a pressure leak test was performed and determined that the repair was done according to the factory specifications. Right after my visit, I took the car home and put it in my garage. Two days after the service was completed, I decided to make a trip to Los Angeles about 200 miles away from home to visit my grandkids. On my way there, I stopped to fuel the car at a gas station, that is when I discovered that the loose change I had saved in the money compartment has disappeared (about $50). The next day as I was heading back home late at night when I felt a big jolt and the engine light came on and the car lost power, I immediately pulled over and reached for the owner’s manual to get details about the engine warning light. The information provided was alarming and warned not to drive the car and to take it to have it checked immediately. I was not sure if I could make it back home safely with 150 miles left. I, then decided to sleep in the car until sunrise and drive back to LA since it was a shorter trip to my mechanic to have the car checked. Early morning, I drove the car back to the mechanic shop in LA. The mechanic ran a diagnostic scan on the vehicle and found numerous engine error codes. He was very shocked when he discovered that the engine turbo oil hose was left completely separated and unconnected after the service was completed at the dealership. He also pointed out the massive oil leak collected by the guard pan beneath the car as a result of the inadequate service by Community Volkswagen. He informed me that I was lucky to avoid the dangerous exposure I could have had while driving and the car stalls risking me to potential deadly accident. I was very disappointed and furious of the dealership lousy and unprofessional handling of the repair. At this point, I am convinced the hose was intentionally left unconnected so I would take the car back for inspection and be charged for additional unnecessary repairs that the dealer failed to collect for the recall repair.I will never take my car to Community Volkswagen ever again as they seem to be dishonest, unethical and scammers.
The sales guy here was rude, I was buying a car that evening and he really made my experience unpleasant. He was very inpatient, he couldnt even take my details right in the paperwork, I had to go back in there 3 times to get it fixed. If youre trying to buy a VW just drive to a nearby city and go to a different dealer for a better experience.
We bought our 2008 Volkswagen rabbit here to be serviced. They said in order to diagnose it it was gonna cost $165, which seemed reasonable. Upon inspection they called and said they needed to remove the instrument cluster and it was going to cost an additional $225 and that that was going to fix the problem. After they fixed it, we went and paid for it, picked it up, and was driving away when it’s stalled in the left-hand turn lane on Broadway, we couldn’t put it in neutral. Had to call a tow truck and was blocking traffic for almost half an hour and the police came. Upon having it towed back into the shop they called and said they are going to start throwing parts at it. Starting with a $900 instrument cluster and an ignition switch all the witch would cost $1800 to install and they’re not even sure that that’s going to fix the problem. Don’t take your car here. They have no more expertise than any other auto shop at diagnosing problems. They will throw parts at your car, and cost you a fortune in doing so.
I had a blast! Xavier was my salesmen and hes absolutely amazing
I had the best car buying experience ever. The entire staff worked so hard to get my car!!! I can’t thank them enough. I love my new car and would definitely buy from them again
Super easy going through the process setting up a test drive and getting paperwork done. A little limited on selection but who isnt right now? Edgar was super helpful and got me into my brand new car for a price I could justify.
The team at Community VW are awesome. They really work with you and like their name says the community. I went in expecting to just test drive a vehicle before I went to LA to actually purchase(it was cheaper in LA). After working with Saul and Rudy they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I even ended up getting a better car then I was getting in LA. And Henry and the detail crew are top notch. I would definitely buy from them again and recommend anyone to go see the boys for their next car purchase!
Super easy and efficient dealership making buying a car a joyful day experience from the time we walked in to the time we walked out! Thanks! The Holloway’s
Loved the staff and experience. They all treated us like family. The staff were respectful, kind I felt like the price was fair and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy.
Excellent place to purchase a vehicle. People are very professional and the place is neat and clean.Prices are reasonable.
We had a wonderful experience purchasing our vehicle at Community VW. The staff was courteous and we never felt pressure from any of the salespeople. Bijan was super helpful, and our financing was a breeze! We walked away with a brand new Atlas Cross Sport and are so happy. I would highly recommend Community VW to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.
Great focus on listening and understanding the needs of the customer to get us just what needed.
Best experience I ever had Joseph did a good job helping me find my next car, this is my second time getting a car from this dealership and is not gonna be my last. it was quick and easy process.
We had an amazing experience shopping at VW in Santa Maria. Our sales person, Jonathan, was extreme knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we got a good deal on the car we loved. When it is time for another car we will be back!
Brought in my car because I had a headlight out and was given an estimate for $630 because I had a “wiring issue”, brought it to my local dealership and was told it’d be a $35 fix because one of my fuses was burnt. Another time I had ordered a spare key because my car had only come with one, when I picked up my car after getting the key programmed I was told that the job wasn’t completed and I’d have to bring it back for them to finish it, that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that they tried to charge me again because according to them “they were doing the service again” even though it was never completed in the first place. Spare your wallet and find somewhere else to get your car serviced
The entire team was amazing from Fabrice, to Loui all the way up to the BMW GM Rudy who all helped out tremendously with a trade in issue. I was in and out in about two hours which was a record when buying a car.
Such a great experience. Great customer service.
Saul, Matt and company are a pleasure to work with. We had a seemless experience and A great deal. I’ve also had service there too and they are consistent on both sides. Ask for SaulThank you Community VW staff.
Really good service! .
100% positive experience! Amazing customer service! This is the BEST place to get the BEST car from the BEST people! Two thumbs way up!
Just bought a new car between Matt and Mike there help and understanding of where I wanted my Payment to be made me feel better about purchasing a new vehicle. Took me several day to make decision and they respected that time. 👍
Very helpful and patient. I have had nothing kind customer service, and knowledgeable people that have talked with. Shout out to the dude Eric awesome 👌 help
We recently obtained a new Tiguan from Community VW. The team at Community VW (including Joe Alvarez, Cameron, and Matt) provided excellent service. Joe was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient as we discussed options. Unlike some other places, we didnt feel pressured and were confident that they had our best interest in mind. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to buy or lease a VW or BMW.
These guys are great, I’ve been taking my Jetta to be serviced here since I first bought it.They have been extremely professional and respectful.During one time I had an issue with my window regulator which they took care of it under warranty, I was chauffeured home and picked back up when the car was ready.See you soon for the 40k miles service !
Called a literal 10 times over the course of 3 weeks to the service department, left 2 voicemails for no call back. I will not use this place, if you cant manage a phone call I dont need your waterbrained technicians back there trying to put my car together no thank you. I will drive to Bakersfield to have my 50k service done where they can at least manage to operate a simple telephone.
They were supposed to repair the fixes on my husbands car because his car is currently unsafe to drive. The diagnosed the issues and asked if he wanted to continue with the repairs. He said yes. At 5:30 they said his car was ready for pickup without giving him a loaner car, and without fixing any of the issues that he had asked them to fix. He was also looking at other cars for 30 minutes because he wanted to purchase one but none of the 5 available salesmen even approached him.
Great buying experience with Oscar and Joseph. They were knowledgeable and weren’t pushy. Very personable too.
Awesome experience. Love my new car!
We bought a new VW Tiguan at Community Volkswagen and are quite satisfied with the experience. Joseph Murguia, our salesman, was knowledgeable and thorough in explaining our options and about operating the vehicle without pressure. The other staff was also thorough and helpful.
Great service, great deal, great car.
Awesome experience! No pressure purchase.
Courteous and attentive service. Joseph was a consummate professional.
Just purchased a car and Tyler was the best! He made the process so easy and was extremely informative, and then delivered the car to me himself!! If you’re looking for a new car, Tyler is your man!! Five Stars all the way!
Always the best service when I go to CVW Santa Maria. I am always treated with the most upright professional respect by their staff. Specifically Zack Moore! He is always proactive in ensuring I am well taken care of... basically treated like family when I go there. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!V/R,Paul
Such awesome customer service, never disappointed!! You guys are great!!
Tony and the team at Community VW genuinely care about you and work diligently to address all of your car necessities. Theyre accountable for their work, fantastic communicators and do their best to accomodate every situation. The previous owner of my 11 GTI only came here for service. I can see why and will be doing the same! Thanks dudes🤙
From my first phonecall on a Friday afternoon to the first encounter at Community Volkswagen I was was greatly impressed. Everyone was great. From the time we got out of our car to the time we drove away we were treated with courtesy and respect. They all work as a team . I would recommend Community Volkswagen.
Friendly service. Easy to negotiate with staff and work towards a good deal. Have to thank Elias for helping us out every step of the way.
$700 CHARGE WASNT NECESSARYBack in December my window wipers wasnt working. Go in for a check up, they ask whats wrong I say the wipers dont work and weird noise. The salesman want to charge me two separate diagnostic fee (~$125). I said, no just check the wipers since it was raining. I knew it was either the motor or some electrical issue but still did the diagnostic. They said it was the motor and the total charge would be $700 for labor and repair. I declined since I could replace the motor myself if that was the only issue. I leave and try out my car and the wipers work. They lied that the motor needs replacing and they wanted to charge me $700. This was a big disappointment for the VW dealer to try this stunt.
Great customer service! Thank you to the two gentlemen at the service desk! I was well taken care of promptly and treated with great courtesy. San Luis Obispo VW does not exist now so Santa Maria is the closest VW dealership to cater to our needs. I walked away very satisfied and content with everything, thank you VW!!!!
I wanted to stand by this company. I bought a fraudulent TDI, which needed an emissions modification. I loved the car, so I opted for the payment of about $3,400 last year. They said the engine would be guaranteed. I just broke down last week on 101 with a high pressure fuel pump failure. The car needs a new pump, valves, hoses, injectors, flush the gas tank...a whole new fuel system. They extended the warranty to 124,000 miles, and Im at 128,000. $5,800 repair. How can this company offer reparations last year only to demand nearly double that amount one year later for complete engine failure? Apparently, this is a common problem with these engines. I would avoid this company and this dealership, as they have not yet figured out major manufacturing issues or corporate ethics.
I took my TDI to Community VW for warranty work. The communication was great, the service advisor was wonderful. The car was returned dirty, there was no exterior wash as advertised on the website. The car was brought in with a clean driver door panel and when I picked it up there were skuffs. They were helpful in the process to return the rental car. I submitted my review via email from solicitation for review. I submitted 4 star review because of the items mentioned above. I changing my review to 3 stars because someone edited my review before allowing it to be posted and only included the communication was great sentence. They did not include my other comments on the review. The fact that they are posting an edited version of my review means warrants the rating from a 4 to a 3.9/4/20: I changed my review to 5 stars. VW reached out to me regarding the posted survey results....there are multiple sections/fields where customers provide feedback, the posted reviews are from one section/field only. They are looking into how to improve communication of survey results. Community VW also responded with reason why car was not washed and said they will review website where those services are stated as available.
We always have a great experience at Community VW, recent 60K service on our 2016 VW Passat was great as usual. Thanks to Tony, Zack and Josh, the Service Team at Community VW.
I waited over a month to post this to make sure my car was as dreamy as they said it would be with no issues down the road, turns out to be true.I’ve never purchased a car “online” or without driving it first so I was probably one of the most skeptical customers ever. I gave them slightly a hard time because I wanted to make sure I throughly went through all of it with them before shipping my car to me so there were absolutely NO SURPRISES and let me tell you - the guy that I worked with had the patience of a saint. Matthew Correra was the best salesman I have ever worked with, and I’ve bought 6 VWs prior to my beetle I got from him. Matthew was not pushy or dishonest like a lot I’ve met. Just a regular human who likes to sell cars. A true breath of fresh air when it comes to this business. He went above and beyond my husband and I’s expectations and I’d buy from him again if I needed to. My car came clean, and actually better than I expected.Matthew really helped us out. He sent me a very detailed video of my car and kept me updated with photos as it all processed. They kept their word with everything, even shipping cost when there was a slight obstacle, and they were so transparent about all of it.I highly recommend him and his team and trust them now completely. Thanks again. I absolutely love this beetle and I appreciate the honesty and dedication you gave me during a pandemic. Stay healthy.
Amazing customer service and excellent work. Had regular maintenance done on my car and they include a wash and vacuum with it. Definitely recommend!!!
The worst experience. I would never recommend a friend, family member or complete stranger to come here. Its been the biggest headache! I bought my car 3 months ago and I am still dealing with things Ive later realized were dishonest and slimy. Ive had to go back and resign paperwork 3 times because they keep making mistakes/ leaving things out we discussed and agreed on. We signed paperwork for a interest rate knowing I told them I wouldnt go with their loan services if it were any more than the rate they offered. Then 10 days later they came back and raised the interest rate significantly. Regardless of the fact that we had already signed legally binding paperwork and they took my car trade in and sent me home with the new one....Additional issues with the agreement we made on the warranty. They told me it would be a $0 deductible as long as I get my car fixed with them. Somewhere in the many times I had to resign that got taken off. I asked for it to be fixed and they have ignored all my calls and emails.
I bought a car here and I have been here for services and recalls. This location is amazing and the staff are well trained and very friendly. I highly recommend this location to anyone.
Great place, didnt even know there was a volkswagon dealership in Santa maria. I went because of a inspection light I got on my car. A tech came out and quickly turned it off plus gave me a free car wash this place is amazing will definitely be doing My oil changes and services here from now on!
Rudy and Matt Correa are the Dynamic Duo of Sales at this Dealership. All cartoon references seriously end there as I was listened to and treated with respect and provided solid information (such as up front Carfax ) in order to purchase a vehicle at an excellent value. I was in discussion with 5 other dealers across a 200 mile radius looking at best value and they delivered a sale package without playing games. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle who wishes to skip buyer remorse and wants a straight deal.
This is an excellent dealership, very friendly and courteous and answers truthfully all your questions.
This is one of the few VW dealerships that seems to have an honest service department. They were very transparent with price and car history. And the discouraged me from pursuing service that wasnt needed per my vehicle service history.
Sarah (aka: Shazam) De Silva was excellent at communicating and delivering expectations. Great price, great buying experience, and a full tank of gas. I would highly recommend this place to buy a VW, BMW, or used car.
The team here is great. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Two thumbs up!
RAT INFESTED ILLEGAL CHOP SHOP STAY AWAY!!Where do I even start..... I went to this location due to owning a less common Volkswagen for a seemingly simple (way overpriced) issue. Received my car back after a short time to have an emergency oil pressure issue that in NO WAY existed before they got the car. Due to it OBVIOUSLY being a failure on the shops part I had them recheck their work, only to be told a brand new issue had occurred with no warning. After speaking with the rep Zach I was told I would be paying almost twice what the first job cost and that despite it not being detected 3 days earlier, there was now rodent droppings in my engine (So I guess they also have rats here). I declined all future work and will be filing a police report when I pick up my car, followed by Consumer Affairs, the Local Health Department, and the Department for Automotive RepairsAt best this is an entirely incompetent shop, at worst its an illegal chop shop. They tried to withhold my car until I sign waivers so I called the police, only afterwards did they hand back the car.Apon getting home I discovered a sickening rats nest they tried to blame ME for despite it being VERY obvious and both myself and members of my family checking the engine the same day they took the car.I will be not only reporting the location but filling a small claims case for damage to my vehicle.
Very pleased with the service I got, very professional and curtouis not pushy at all
I cant say enough about this place. Fast and friendly service all the time.I bought my Jetta from Joe and hes the man. Made me feel like family and Im glad I switched to the bmw/vw family. Thank you so much!
My car purchase was effortless. Service department not so much. Dealing with this department is a headache regarding my EPA recall. They act cluless and continue to give me misinformation. Arrived at my appointment told recall has been cancelled US wide. I called recall notice number and they said its an open recall. Sure enough I called ELK Grove VW and their service department booked me for an appointment to replace recall parts asked me if needed a loan vehicle and said standard time is two days but they should complete in one.I dont recommend service department. Everything here is so difficult. There is obviously better choices try San Luis Obispo Santa Barbara. I will drive to Elk Grove because Im confident in their service and they make car service simple.
Too much pressure to purchase. Jacob (the sales person there) was already asking me if I was going to be purchasing the vehicle with a check, before I could even test drive it. I was not able to test drive the vehicle I wanted, because although it was advertised on their website for sale, the vehicle could not be sold because of power train issues. They advertise vehicles on their website that are not for sale because of too many issues with the vehicle, but they dont tell you this until after you arrive at the dealership so that way they can try and sell you another car. Just totally unprofessional all the way around!
Great salesmen. And great customer service.
Employees are friendly and sales associate are very non pushy and helpful. Also, the employee are non judgemental
The team or Rudy Correa and Abraham Miller really did an outstanding job of saving me from a horrible experience with two other dealers. I called them hoping to just get advice and they actually asked me questions, and offered me options to solve my problem. They sincerely went beyond the extra mile and have been extremely efficient and helpful. My leased vehicle is out of state with my daughter, and no one else wanted to deal with anything the slightest bit out of the box. Not only did they help, they seemed excited to help me! in less than a few hours, my papers were ready for me to sign and the entire process took about 40 minutes TOPS. Rudy even called to get me quotes to ensure I was getting the value. As for the dealership overall, when you walk in, you are greeted by a friendly person, the atmosphere is full of light and everyone is genuinely smiling. They seem happy in their work, and that atmosphere is certainly contagious. I noticed that no one was sitting around being ignored even though the dealership was busy. The people who were waiting were chatting with each other and were checked on regularly by staff. As a sidenote, I am highly impressed with their use of technology to ensure as paperless of a process as possible. I was introduced to the General Manager, and its obvious why their dealership received such high marks. Culture truly does start at the top. I am a life-long customer now.THANK YOU Community Volkswagon! - The Pritchard Family, Santa Barbara
Very good customer service. Cameron was helpful
Service department was great 👍
Best car buying experience period! Sheldon and Ali always make it happen. My wife loves her new Passat SEL. I love all the safety features the car has to keep here safe. Thanks for always taken such great care of my family. We will be back soon!! This was our 5th car from here.
Personal attention, keep you informed as repairs are progressing.
Sauls is an excellent sales person very helpful
I came here in January 2015 knowing what they had in inventory and knew they had the exact car I wanted. It was very difficult to find a 6spd TDI Sportwagen at the time we purchased our car and they had 1 left, and it had the exact specs we wanted. The crazy thing was they were the only dealership with one in 200+ miles! I figured since it was the last 6spd in 200 miles and they had well over 30 automatics that they would give me a hard time with negotiations. Boy was I wrong. I came in and said what I wanted to pay, they came back in less than 5 minutes within $500 of what I was hoping to pay. Shook hands and did the paperwork. In having bought over 20 vehicles, this was the most painless and quick transaction Ive ever had. It was well worth the drive to Santa Maria to buy a VW. I have been very happy with the service department here as well. My VW has been serviced here 3 times now and every time the service is quicker than expected and my car comes back sparkly and clean. If you are in SLO county, you cant go wrong with Community Volkswagen and I would highly recommend the trip. Will probably return to buy a GTI at some point.
Went to them to get an axle replaced as it was covered by my mechanical insurance, took way longer than I was told (I understand part orders can be delayed) and I understand that. When I picked up my car I had my TomTom GPS mounted on the windshield and when I picked my car up and went to drive away I found my GPS thrown on the passenger side floorboard and the the mount to hold it to the windshield was broken. How does a mechanic break a GPS mount when working under a car on the axle. The worst part is they didnt even mention it. So I have the fortune of buying a new GPS mount. After this I had a problem with the motor and my insurance insisted it be taken to a VW dealership to get it fixed. I had just gotten the car used and it was very well taken care of, the engine and engine bay was extremely clean,The car didnit leak a drop of oil, for some reason the decided to remove the oil pan and to this day my car leaks oil bad. Thanks VW!
I hope those reading will take time to read this prior to your decision to do business with this dealership...My wife, family and I I had originally purchased 4 cars from this dealership. I was then in a car accident, in which I was momentarily knocked unconscious, totaling my car. Then, THE WORST customer service experience with this dealership ensued. My wife and I returned to cancel the warranty on the car, as it was within the 30 day time period. We were given a receipt, stating we would receive a full refund. All they needed was a letter from the lender stating the loan was paid in full. To this day, those people associated from VW, mostly failed to return our phone calls, and the buck was passed from one person to another. We were told we would have the check within a month. Today, I finally called the lienholder myself. They faxed me proof of payoff within 1 HOUR. I contacted VW via telephone to seek out if they had received the fax as well. I was told, once again, it wouldnt be for another 24 HOURS. I called the bank back and was told they specifically spoke to this employee, they gave me the exact time, and read off the employees fax number. I explained how this ordeal had been very taxing on my family, and I was shocked that there was no empathy at all, and a complete lack of remorse. There was no I am so sorry for the delay or I can assure you we will take care of it as soon as possible. Instead there was its not up to me its up to this person and then that person would say it was not up to them it was up to this person, etc. There was no follow through. Finally, I will admit I was frustrated, and the tone in my voice was evident that I was frustrated; however, I would not have thought that someone whose family purchased 4 cars from VW would be met by such insincerity. In the customer service business, I was under the impression that empathy, sincerity, and follow through, among other things, were important to NOT ONLY gain customers, but to KEEP them as well. The latter in this situation was simply not the case. We no longer have any vehicles and will never purchase another car from them again. I would advise finding a different VW dealership, if you really wanted a VW.
Heres where they treat my VW TDI with care and always wash her after servicing.
I took my 2011 Jetta in to get the 60,000 mileage service, and was greeted with friendly employees that made my visit smooth and easy. I dont know alot about cars, but Romer made it simple, easy to understand and even told me I didnt need to pay for certain things that automatically came with the generic service as I had them done elsewhere in the recent past ( luckily I kept the receipts). He offered a shuttle bus to take me to the nearby shopping center and then texted me when my car was ready.
Worst experience ive ever had with repairs at a dealership. They took much longer the parts were more expensive the work was terrible. Less than two months later my roof leaks after I spent almost $1500 on a repair
Complete customer care with excellence beyond compare
Great service.
Nice place
Good experience they really worked with us.
Great staff and service!
Services said, they were done, come to find out it wasnt done. Dishonest. Never going there again. Ill be driving further out to get my car serviced. It was my first service there and my worst ever.
I love it 💕
Wonderful dealership!!!
They serve you well and in your language and I like it quickly I recommend it
