Ive shopped here for 27 years and while life in general has taken twists and turns Food Max has remained constant the whole way through. The products they sell are good quality, their employees are pleasant and helpful and its the one thing in my life that passes the tests of time.

A compliment for Dexter, cashier. I forgot an item on the customer counter and Dexter rushed out the store and yelled out Sir, I then turned around and it was Dexter holding my item. Thank you, Sir for not allowing me to go home without my food item. Gracias....

I have never been so angry at a local store here in Santa Maria as I was today. My 39 year old daughter went to use the bathroom in a hurry and on her way out decided to stop and get a soda when one of the workers came up to her and accused her of shoplifting. My daughter was startled and hurt. My daughter said she took nothing and opened her purse to show nothing was taken but was told she was lying. My daughter was startled by this accusation and didnt know how to prove her innocence. The worker kept accusing her so my daughter who was afraid for her safety lifted up her shirt to prove she had taken nothing but this was a male worker so he got a free show. She proved her innocence and was let go. How do these stores keep getting away with this fear tatic. Dont attorneys take on cases like this and win. My daughter was so embarrassed she just chooses to forget then go to court much to my disapproval. Yes this was foodmax n. Broadway. How dare they.

Cheapest groceries around clean stores friendly staff and the line goes quick check them out at both their locations in Santa maria on broadway north and south unless you want to pay more money at Vons or albertsons I like to keep my money though so I go to foodmaxx

Yes, I shop here also. Since Corona virus hit, the store feels a tad different. Still with great selections, just not as many. Clean and very helpful employees, (some with a sense of humor), but it just feels like its a click off. Overall, still a great place to shop. Now about those hanger arounds out front.

In and out fast. Friendly service.

Store is kept clean and organized. Staff is smiling helpful no matter the time of day or night everyone knows the store if you have any questions and their are staff members on the floor willing to assist you in any way.

Security guards are gone I dont feel safe ! Homeless is all over this shopping center .

When in the area drop in for a few items. Plenty of parking. There is a sanitary hand washing center immediately near the entrance.Clean & well stocked.Employees were wearing masks but dont know if carts are being cleaned.

Big grocery store where you pack your own. Of course, they are running out of things due to everyone trying to stock up. There was only 2, then 3 lines open. I wish the checkout conveyor belt was cleaned and that they had wipes on the way in. The place for packing the bag seemed dirty also. Lines were long but the cashier was pleasant at the end of the long, busy day.

Honestly came to get a 12 pack before 2am and needed to use the restroom really quick before, but they had it blocked off with karts 🤷.Got my beer; however, still inconvenienced.

Foodmaxx is probably my favorite of the discount grocery stores. This particular store is well staffed with friendly people. It is rumored that one of their staff members is from the Beta Glucan system in the glucostular cluster. I have to be careful. I dont tolerate glucose well. They have an excellent variety of products which Tom, George, Susan and Xxccc9427 keep properly rotated and up to date. Of course I cant say who the alien is. The staff is all truly friendly and some of them are cute as well... (Have you ever seen anything with 60 toes? I bet they have a lot of podiatrists up there)

I love the store but I dont like the activity happening in the parking lot. Im starting not to feel safe.

Prices are good, products are fresh and the staff is friendly. Lines can get pretty long at times. It seems as if they dont schedule enough labor to open up all their lanes. Overall a good experience. Will return to this place.

Got some great prices most of the time. Sometimes the cashiers are way too slow though and lines get busy. They should get some self checkout or express lanes and some security for the thieves if they get self checkout lanes

This is the worst grocery store in Santa Maria. Unorganized, dirty, lousy service, poor management, pull code dates are not very good. I wouldnt recommend shopping here. Also they play the music so loud you cant hear yourself think. They need to improve the store or go out of business. We need a better grocery store on North end of Broadway.

Very nice people that work there . This is the one on Broadway and West Tayor. I am new here in Santa Maria and they have just been so kind to me. And I like them even more when they have bags. But lately they have had no bags and I have had to take each item from my cart and then unload it in my car and when I got home I had to do it again. Dont ever take their paper bags. Their paper bags handles broke on both sides and my groceries went all over the driveway on the way to my car because they did not have any plastic bags at all. .But this is a good store and the workers are respectful.

I went today around 11:00 am, the gentleman at the cash register was very friendly (I forgot to get his name . The store has really good prices and it is pretty clean.

The employees are generally very friendly but not alwaysgreat at offering to help without promoting. The store is always clean and its well organized. I like that things havent moved so I always know exactly where to go to find something without it being in a different aisle like in a lot of department type stores.

I shop there a lot and becides the great prices its the staff that makes my shopping experience superb. Whether I was a new or returning customer the staff are always very friendly and professional. This is a good place to grab most of the essentials for home at a reasonable price. The prices do change every now and then when they have sales. There is usually a 10-20 minute wait.

The nicest people work there, always the right amount of personable. Shopping is easy & pleasant, very clean. I do not mind bagging my iwn groceries there.

Since I have to rate them or else I wouldnt.The fruit in this store is disgusting mole I had to go let the workers there know that the fruit and vegetables wore going bad with mole growing but they didnt give a damn. So if youre looking for a grocery store I recommend not to go to this store on north Broadway go to the one on south Broadway..

FoodMaxx was quiet and I enjoyed my shopping experience. I shop at FoodMaxx so often that I know where everything is, so I did not have to ask for any assistance, but a few people who work for FoodMaxx did approach me and asked me if I was finding everything all right, which seemed very nice to me.

This is one of my favorite to go to stores...aswell as many others shoppers... I say that cuz at certain times the store may be packed with shoppers and that can create long lines. But we all still go there for the simple thing that this store is very well kept stocked aswell as clean and very well organized. The people who work here are Great help aswell as curtious. This place gets 5 stars from me. Keep up the great job. 👍
