Do not go here for Jeep service. The manager tried to tell me there’s no way they could have unplugged my active entry because it’s behind the inner door panel. Little did he know I’m an engineer and know they had to remove the inner door panel to replace my window regular. After I called him out he told me they were too busy and refused to schedule an appointment to fix it. I called later that day someone else scheduled me for the following week. They also stripped a bolt on the window regular which caused a major rattle and then took a week to fix it and it still rattles. They scratched my door panel. They didn’t put my diagnostic fee towards my service and they have never returned a phone call or replied to my emails asking for this to be resolved. Reported to BBB

Don’t even waste your time stopping at this dealership, they are absolutely arrogant and will not put your needs in front of their own. I have a lease coming due in a few months and am trying to decide what my next vehicle should be. I stopped by this dealership to test-drive a Wrangler 4XE as its my top choice. Knowing that inventory is low and there are many delays with production I would think it’s a good thing to order something a few months ahead of time… After explaining my situation to the sales person he simply dismissed me, saying they don’t have vehicles to test-drive and that I should come back when I’m ready to purchase… Not to mention they also have $12k additional mark up listed on the vehicles! So basically they provide no service and will rip your head off if you’re dumb enough to actually do business with them! Needless to say, I won’t be coming back!

This dealer is not responsible for what they sell in poor condition, Diego, an employee of this place is disrespectful and inprofessional, incapable of giving good service, it is a shame as an employee. We have had the worst experience in this dealer, I do not recommend it, be very careful because no one from that place will be responsible when you arrive with a complaint. Diego said that the owner would not repair my new car with a manufacturing defect that only took two months to get it from the dealer just because I put a negative opinion of it. They are a shame in the lousy service and lack of respect they provide. I recommend that you go to another dealer and do not waste your money in this place or your time.

I took my Wrangler there because I broke down on vacation. I was treated like a VIP! Matthew was my service rep and boy did he give me great service. He was knowledgeable, understanding that I was on vacation and keep me in the loop of the progress. I would recommend this dealership to everyone I know.

I have been bringing my Jeep here since I moved to LA in 2018. I can only speak for the service since I purchased from a MA dealership. I have brought my car in for regular service and for issues I have had that are under warranty. Zach and Mish in service go above and beyond and handled calling Mopar many times for me. Service is not perfect - they are extremely busy since there is not another dealership in the area so sometimes they are not the best at communicating. Also the team that handles billing is a hit or miss. I will keep coming back and not sure why there are so many angry reviews maybe practice patience and not being rude to those in the service industry?

Service department - I worked with Brian K in the service center on a flat tired I had. Even though this wasnt the location I had purchased my vehicle from he worked with me to make sure I was taken care of. Car was fixed for a fantastic price (he made sure I got everything that was covered) and with excellent updates/service along the way.I will be taking my Jeep here for all my future needs!

Do not conduct business with the dealership! When I called to inquire to obtain assistance to purchase a leased vehicle from a dealership that went out of business in the LA area and to ensure the inspection fee of $300 was understood, the arrogant person on the phone was extremely rude, condescending and literally told me to take my business elsewhere twice and hung up the phone! Really, I worked for Chrysler for over 31 years and this is how a potential customer is treated. Well buddy, I’ll be sure to pass on your lack of customer service to wherever and whomever I can. This is unacceptable and despicable behavior to anyone who is a potential buyer let alone an employee of the company!

I recently purchased my new Rubicon 4xe from Santa Monica CDJR. When I tell you my experience was PHENOMENAL, that would not quite do it justice. I have been purchasing Jeep for a long time, but the team here is stand out. I walked in and custom-ordered my Jeep with the GM - Dave. He is a stand-up guy. He kept in constant contact with me while I waited for my car, even though I know he has a million things on his plate as the manager. When my car arrived, he made sure it went to no one but me, truly a man of his word. I worked with Liam in sales, and when I tell you he was a pleasure to work with I mean it. I was never pressured, and Liam was always available right away for whatever I needed, including coming in on his day off to take care of me. To close my deal, Kris - the Finance guru made sure I was in the best of hands and we laughed about everything under the sun during our pain-free doc. signing. Cant forget my guy Craig in service, my interaction with him is the reason I walked in to the showroom to begin with. These guys are great people, and you wouldnt necessarily expect that at a car dealership. I would buy here again and again. Please buy your next car here, you wont regret it.

I was a little apprehensive of going there because of reviews I read. I can only speak of the sales department at this time. The salesmen Park and Diego were more than helpful. They was there to answer our questions and gave us space when my wife and I needed to talk. All the salesmen bent over backwards to help us. We left there with a 2021 Cherokee and a great deal. Never been more disrespected in my life. Called to ask the sales team about what my options were for purchasing my car out of its lease. The man on the phone snapped at me and said he wouldnt answer my questions and the only way he would help me is if I purchased a car directly through them. I asked to speak to a manager considering literally every other Jeep dealer offers assistance in buying cars out of the lease. The rude man on the phone informed me that he was a manager so I asked to make a formal complaint and he literally just hung up. I had my boyfriend call again to see if theyd be more friendly if a man called (we all know how car dealerships treat women) and a different employee answered and was even more nasty towards him. Not sure why their employees are so abusive but this entire dealership needs an exorcism.

Been aggressively looking for a car for 2 weeks now- mostly all Luxury SUV’s (Q8, SQ8, Porsche Cayenne and Macan) and decided maybe I’ll go American and get a Jeep. Went to check them out and met a super great sales clerk, found an amazing Jeep, but when I asked to test drive was informed the manager is only letting people drive with a credit check 🤣😂🤣 like it’s a Rolls Royce or something. I drove every other car mentioned above all twice the value of any Jeep at least and did so with ease and only showing my DL (not even car INS required). The sales manager needs to get with the program and sell some cars or Jeep needs a new outfit.

Kris and Dave are the new managers at Jeep / Dodge of Santa Monica and they took care of our recent lease return and new purchase personally. It was an easy, no stress experience along with Jason, our sales guy and his assistant Sean. I was put off by the previous experience we had here in 2015 but the new team has earned my trust. First let me say I never leave bad reviews. This is incredible rare for me however based on the customer services I received today I felt it was necessary. Hopefully someone higher up reads this. I called the dealership and asked to speak to a manager and was put on the phone with a gentleman named Rhett Butler.... I told him I was interested in coming in to buy a four door Wrangler and do what is known in the industry as a Lay Down deal. Meaning minimal negotiating back and forth to keep it clean and simple to save all parties time. The managers tone was grumpy, condescending and aggressive the second he answered the phone... He told me he would need a VIN number of the car I wanted. When I told him I was not sure which one I wanted asked if I could see options he didnt seem interesting in having further dialogue. When I then asked if perhaps it would be better if I spoke to someone else, he said dont bother, I wont sell you a car a hung up the phone up... Funny considering I was ready to pay list price if I was shown options. Incredibly negative individual and a poor reflection of Jeep. Perhaps Rhett was having a bad day however as someone who does sales too, I was shocked by his behavior.... The last thing you want as a dealership is to loose sales based upon employee behavior.

Dont go to this location. They are shady and rude. My mother went for an oil change and because she is elderly and didnt know any better they hustled her and added unnecessary services for over $300. I spoke to the guy who claims to be a manager his name is Craig and rather than helping me he yelled at me and hung up the phone on me. I was really shocked at what happened and I called back again and the guy from the service department hung up on me again. They were disrespectful and unprofessional.Please save your time and go to another Chrysler service location. I reported to the Chrysler corporate but they have told me that each location is owned by individuals, so Chrysler can only file complain and could not escalate the problem. I am very disappointed in the whole experience.

I just called to schedule an appointment to test drive a vehicle at this dealership and spoke with the general sales manager Rhet. I told him that my vehicle had just been totaled and I planned on ubering in to test drive their new Wrangler, he said that he had 30 on the lot. That excited me, but what turned me off is when I asked him if once I got some information if it was ok for them to drop my son and I at the beach because we did not intend on buying that day. I was just doing shopping and planned on making a decision once the insurance cut the check. Who knows after some convincing maybe I would have bought but he was dismissive. You would think in days of Covid and so much contactless options they would be more acommodating. I will not be visiting this dealership and I dont recommend anyone who wants a more modern buying experience to do the same. Seems like a typical old car dealership.

Horrible experience. Unprofessional and rude is an understatement. The salesman was nice and somewhat helpful; however, he quoted an original price and then came back with a $200 raised price when the signing was about to happen. He did go speak to his manager, who is the real problem. He sits in his office, does not introduce himself to customers, and refuses to negotiate. Also, the air conditioning in the place was broken, so I spent two hours there in the heat for the dealership to let me walk away. Needless to say, this is not the place you want to buy a car.

Was a first time car buyer years ago, salesman scammed me into a 12% APR loan, saying I had poor credit and that was the best rate any dealer would have (not true at all, I just was young and didnt know).They all smiled and waved as I drove off the lot, meanwhile I was not realizing I would pay $14,800 in interest, even after paying the car off very early - 2.5 years.Please look elsewhere, rampant immoral business practices at Santa Monica Jeep.

To prevent credit fraud, I keep my credit files locked until needed. The dealership pulled three zeros from the credit bureaus, due to pulling before being unlocked.That would be fine, mistakes happen, but the treatment recieved thereafter was indigent.Due to the miscommunication, they thought there may not be a sale to be had, and the manager was more than rude.I purchase roughly two vehicles per year, but they certainly wont be from there. I advise you shop elsewhere too.Horrible business. Look at my history; I never leave bad reviews. Their 2.9 star average (fairly bad), is generous.

Had a nail in my tire. They said they were unable to patch the tire and that it would cost over $300 because they needed to replace the tire. I called American Tire down the street. They quoted me $200 to replace the tire. When I went in to American Tire, they said they could easily patch the tire and that they would do it for free.Not to mention it took Santa Monica Jeep 5hrs to tell me they could not patch the tire.I was in and out of American Tire in 30minutes.Only facts, but cmon!

He’s the absolute best. He’s honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and an all around good guy. If you’re debating using this dealership, do it, ask for Albert and you won’t regret it.

I took my Jeep into this place for service 2 weeks ago. The entire process took 7 days for 2 hours of overpriced service for a simple service code that I looked up before hand (P0128). Any decent mechanic could have serviced this car in under an hour at least. The person who was answering the phone during this 7 day period came up with several excuses for the consistent delays. We were originally told it would take 3 days and this was extended day by day. One of the reasons was that an employee quit suddenly, causing cars to back up - probably a sign that this place is toxic and untrustworthy.Seriously, take your car in to another mechanic.

Needed a part for my Jeep, and this is my closest dealer. I had to look up the part number MYSELF, because the guy in the Parts department was too lazy to be troubled. When I called back with the part number, they wanted $240 for a part that goes for $135 to $150 at other dealers. Another $30 part was $60 here. Horrible service, extortion-like prices. Go to ANY dealer besides this one, unless you like being treated poorly and are hemorrhaging money!

I would not go here for service. Unless you want to wait 5 hours just to get your oil changed. I even made an appt at 10am and I complained to the service guy about how long it was taking he goes “well you 10am appt was just to speak with a service rep that doesn’t mean your oil change is at that time.” Okay well FIVE hours..... they originally said 2.5 and 4 hours later they hadn’t even started on my car. Once they did it only took 20 minutes. Sounds like they do not manage their time well at all. Never leasing a car from here again.

Im giving one star only because I cant give zero. Ive had two bad experiences here, both with the service department, and both with a staff member named Mark.First encounter, I came due to a recall. I went inside and stood there for a good 5 minutes while Mark and his coworker chatted. It wasnt work related chat. I finally said, Excuse me. Mark and his co-worker were visibly bothered to have a customer. I saw the rest of the staff react the same way to other customers walking in.My second encounter was when I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I went on their website, got a quote for $68 and made my online appointment. I received my email confirmation. I walk in and see Mark. He didnt have my appointment in his book. I tell him I can show him my appointment on my phone. He declines. He says he recommends standard oil. I say the site recommended hybrid for my car and he replies with, Oh yeah, well thats what we use anyway. Then he quotes me $386. I tell him my online quite and he says theres no way thats the attire and says I must be using some other site that he has no access to. I give him my phone and he sees his official site but has to go talk to his manager about it. How can that magically shave off $300 for the same service? Im never going there again.

I understand if the dealership does not want to compete on price but at least know a thing or two about Jeeps before trying to sell them. They did not understand anything about the very vehicles they were selling. 1/10 review for this location. If you are in the Market for a new jeep, go anywhere else.

Went, test drove a car, and in the process of discussing prices and financing they managed to run my credit not just once... but twice for 2 different scenarios when they said it would be a soft check. This is now on my credit score for 2 years. I did not buy from them nor will I ever return. I know salesmen are pushy but these guys don’t take no for an answer and harass and pressure like no other. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a dealership. Stay away.

I have to say that my experience with Santa Monica Jeep Service Department is second to none! I have been a customer for last 4 years and cant say enough good words about Dale, Albert, Arsen and mechanics! I use my Jeep offroad a lot and if I have any issues guys are always taking care of me in the best possible way! I strongly recommend Santa Monica Jeep Service Department!

I shopped around for a Jeep Wrangler for a few weeks now. I went to several dealerships and it wasnt that I didnt find what I liked, I just didnt like where I was getting it from. Then I came here and wow, I never been to a nicer dealership. The staff was super helpful and genuine. Clay James the General manager was really nice and worked with me, giving me an outstanding deal. The difference I found here was that they actually love what they are doing. I bought my Jeep Wrangler Sahara and I havent stopped smiling since. Im not a big review writer but I was truly impressed and wanted to give a shout out and these guys deserve it!

My personal experience is this: all dealership service and purchasing suck. However, I purchased and serviced my 2015 Dodge Challenger at Motor Village near the Staples center. THERE SERVICE SUCKS. Its busy just like Santa Monica, BUT I FIND THEIR SERVICE S A HELL OF A LOT BETTER THAN MOTOR VILLAGE.But, seriously people, most service from dealerships suck. I had a POS civicHonda from Culver city AND THEIR SERVICE SUCKED TOO.Just my two cents....

Worst costumer service ever! Rudy the advisor that was assigned to help me is horrible. I felt discriminated i will not recommend. I asked to speak with a manager and was transferred to Dale. He was helpful in answering my questions and even offered to pay for my uber since my Jeep was not ready by the promise time. Not to mention i had to take it back because they missed a repair. I am very unhappy with the repairs. I called Dale back to inform him and set up a time to take it back for another diagnosis and his attitude changed. He came up with so many excuses on why my jeep my be acting up. I honestly feel at this location they only care about the money and getting paid and not about their customers. Its very sad that they dont understand that if they lose customers they lose money.

Unhappy with my experience with the service department. I would not recommend this location for service once your vehicle goes outside its original warranty period. There customer service declines rapidly once you are outside the warranty period. Cost markup is extensive on parts. Making us regret our initial lease and subsequent purchase from this location.

Well, they still don’t seem to respond to email or electronic requests for information. I find that very odd. Also, they charge a $10k markup on all the trims of the Grand Cherokee L, the car I was in the market for. It only took a few emails to other Jeep dealers to learn that this markup is way, way higher than other dealers, and I was in fact able to lease a very nice Overland at MSRP price from a dealer just 30 minutes away. But the Santa Monica dealer was nice to me and my family when we dropped by to look at the car, so giving them two stars for that.

I dont usually write reviews but I dont want to this to happen to another person. DONT GO HERE! If youre a WOMEN beware. If I could give this place negative stars I would. First of all they are hostile and threatening, I came to pick my car up from the service department and was strong armed by two large men telling me to leave the property. This was after I paid for my cars service and was requesting my car. I was told that they werent going to give me my car and they were going to keep it and charge me storage for keeping my car after they told me they werent going to charge me for storage since they werent going to give my car today. Do not trust Kris Assad(finance manager)! Kris was rude and has a short temper and I can tell an underlying distain for women. When I asked to speak to the general manager he said he wasnt there, then he started yelling at the top of his lungs at me and my associate because she asked if we could get the GMs information. Then out of nowhere a 65 400 lbs man the GM according to him starting yelling he wanted us off of the his property and wouldnt speak to me about my situation. He threatened to call the police and said he was going to charge me for storage out of spite. So we asked him to call the police since I had already paid for my car and for all I know they could loose track of my car since I had already signed it out. This place is awful, I never felt scared while conducting business but this encounter made be fear for life. I still dont have my car, that I paid for. There customer service and overall guest relations needs to be revamped. The GM and Kris need to be Fired, they both dont care about the customers and threatened my safety.

If I could give zero stars I would. Sooooooooooo rude! They are only interested in selling a car to you - if you need anything aside from that they could not care less. I was trying to figure out how to return my lease to them and the sales manager, I wish I would have gotten his name actually hung up on me. I was surprised I thought it was by mistake, when I called back again he hung up on me again!

Dont even bother. Although the lower level rep was very pleasant to work with, upper managers are trying to bully you into buying cars. No respect whatsoever. They dont even bother greeting you or even introducing themselves...Left there furious. It is such a shame that these individuals are allowed to represent such a strong brand.

5.0 star rating 4/20/2018Just purchased my new Challenger SXT Plus and had the best car buying experience ever! This was my fourth new car purchase in the past 30 years and this was the only one I actually enjoyed. I highly recommend my salesman Charles Shreve (just ask for Charlie). He was really great to work with along with the entire staff. They went the extra mile to make my deal happen and put me in an awesome car!Really enjoying the new ride!

I wish I would have read the reviews before walking into this place!I showed interest in a 2018 Wrangler that had an attractive price. After the test drive I sat to talk numbers. When they approached me with the final numbers, they quoted me a purchase price 20k more than what the vehicle tag had displayed. The sales guy said they had the wrong price tag on the vehicle. I got up and proceeded to leave as the price was now way out of my budget. I was then approached by the sales manager where we were able to make a deal. By the time all paperwork was complete the place was ready to close they informed me I needed to bring the vehicle back the next day so they could take care of a small tire issue...a small leak around the tire seal.I returned the next day and sat for 1 hour while they fixed the tire. After about an hour and 20 minutes I asked for an update. They said they needed at least another hour. I explained (again) that I couldnt wait any longer as I had things to do...mind you the dealership is 20 miles from my house with 45 to 1hour of traffic each way.I approached the store manager and explained I couldnt wait. He went to the service department and came back and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Sure enough 10 minutes later the vehicle was ready and supposedly fixed.Two days later I noticed the vehicle tire pressure was low again. I called and explained the situation. They said to bring the vehicle back...again.I brought the vehicle back BUT before I left I put a marking on the spare tire (inside the rim I drew a little X in the dirt) just to be sure they wouldnt just put the spare on and claim its fixed.Well, after them having the vehicle for most the day they called and said it was ready and that the problem was the valve stem. I come back to pick it up and sure enough the spare (with the x I drew in the dirt) is now on the car and the tire that needed to be fixed was on the back as the spare! I called them out on it. I had to then wait another hour for them to really figure out the problem...it was the rim itself. So now they have to order a new rim and tire where Ill have to go back for the 3rd time!This place is dishonest and the service department reps are rude. Avoid this place at all costs!

WORTHLESS. Dont bother going here. They are idiots. If I could give NO stars I would. I had an appointment for a fix for my 05 Wrangler on the O2 sensors which is a known problem, and Chrysler has issued a Technical Service Bulletin on how to fix it AND extended the warranty on the OBD. My mechanic called them and explained the issue and they said they knew about it and I could bring in the Jeep for the fix. When I got there, they wanted $155 for a diagnostic fee just to look at the car and didnt know what I was talking about with the O2 sensors or the warranty.They just want money from you, and spoke down to me like I was a girl who didnt know cars. I drive a Wrangler Rubicon for crying out loud, I know a bit about cars. You have to if you drive a Wrangler. They are idiots. After getting my mechanic on the phone with them, they still wouldnt help and just wanted $$ so I walked out.

Im in search for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for my daughter. The customer service at this Jeep dealership is awful. Please save your time, and money and go to any other Jeep dealer. You will thank me for it. Below is my experience with this terrible dealership.Today, I called Santa Monica Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. It was 7:30PM and asked until what time theyd be open. The person on the phone said they be open a bit longer. I told them Id be at the dealership by 8PM.I arrived at 8PM and a young salesman, Mr. Garrett, met me at the entrance to the showroom. He asked if I was the 8 oclock person that came to see the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I said yes, and we shaked hands.The salesman then asked me are you ready to make a deal today? I answered no. He replied with if youre not ready to make a deal today, then we are closed. You can come back tomorrow.To which I replied that I had called and the person that answered the phone said the dealership would be open for when I came in at 8PM.Before leaving, I asked him if he was the person that had answered the phone. He said no, that someone had left him a voice message saying that I would be coming in. I asked what was that persons name. He said he did not know. What came to my mind was that he was a new person that did not recognize the persons voice, or they are told by the sales manager to lie and say they do not know. Either way, if you want to be treated like dirt, crap, or something lower, then be my guess and go here. But, Im sure you want to be treated like a person, then go to any other Jeep dealership. Its your money, your time, they are not doing YOU a favor. You are doing them a favor by buying or leasing from them. You can probably get the same or better deals elsewhere by just driving a few more minutes.

Talked to a worker who Ordered in parts for a recall that I needed done on my truck last week. Called in this morning a week later, and they didn’t have any idea who I was and had none of my information saved. The guy I spoke to said he would call me back in 10 min this morning and I never heard from them again. It’s no wonder this place has a rating of 2.8. Horrible service, terrible employees, and should be out of business by now. Do yourself a favor and literally call any other place in the LA area

Never try with them, costumer care is the worst. Fredy the sales man over there that was assigned to help me is horrible. we felt discriminated . I sent an email to managing director to tell him, what is going on there, but he replied so disappointing.I wanted to lease a Trailhalk, but they didnt care, he was so rude and suddenly went back to his office without any explanation and guide.I will never recommend this dealer ever, I tried to have a guide and help from the manager, but he was so much worst. I tried with Cadillac Martin at the same day and I got a Cadillac instead of that and I am so happy, because the deal was so much better and valuable also customer care is perfect.

RUDE and no clue what they are doing. Scheduled my service appointment on their website and it was canceled 4 days later with no explanation. Called and spoke with 4 service techs and 2 of the 4 hung up on me accidentally. Finally spoke with Dale the service manager and he was lost as if it were his first day on the job. Their rating speaks for itself... Will not ever take a vehicle there for a service.
