Chill cool spot. They have this ginger chai thats super delicious. And right when I walked in, the staff was super welcoming. Love great service. Also they have great choices with milk. I didnt see a great pic with the menu on here before I went so I got one...hopefully it helps! Enjoy!

After a hot day at the beach, we stopped to refresh ourselves for a coffee. But..everything goes well with coffee so we also bought a quick bite. It was a biscuit sandwich that tasted awesome!

This is 5-star coffee and very friendly good people work here. Arguably the best Americano on the block.The only negative factor has been their **unpredictable hours** while trying to survive during Covid.Hopefully it will survive this pandemic trump era and continue to be on Main Street. It certainly deserves to be here (much more so than the generic Starbucks and Coffee Bean that both closed this year).Santa Monica needs to do something to support local businesses beyond simply putting up some concrete barriers for outdoor dining.

Coffee is really good here. Proper strong European style, not like that watered down American style.

These guys know how to make coffee. A rarity on our travels on the US. Flat white is not on the menu but they made me a perfect one - with oat milk. We went back several times while in Santa Monica.

Stopped by to rest my legs after walking up and down the waterfront, and it was just exactly what I needed: a cool location with excellent drinks and a chill vibe. A friend had a great coffee, and I enjoyed the cold brewed black tea: perfection! The gentleman manning the counter was lovely, too. Id absolutely go back if Im in Santa Monica again!

Only reason I gave 2 stars is the staff is nice.This place solidified that $5 chocolate croissants are always going to disappoint

Best coffee for serious aficionados ! Great service and ambiance. Been coming here for years when in town and nothing about the quality changed. Grateful to have privately owned coffee shop that is committed to authenticity of high end coffee. Highly recommend!! Thankful to the owners and employees who take pride in their work here.

I only drink black coffee. I know what bad, mediocre, and great black coffee tastes like. Their black coffee is legit and that makes me happy. Second, the customer service was really good. Third, for those looking for a simple and clean coffee shop, nothing complicated or overwhelming like a typical drive-through Starbucks, but one having a comfortable and inviting ambience then this is the place to be.

I visited Espresso Cielo twice, and both times ordered a double espresso and an almond croissant. The espresso is very good - on my second visit, I would rate the espresso shot in my top 2 all time best. The Hotcakes Bakes pastries were equally amazing. Warmed up in an oven, they were crisp, flaky, and delicious. Equal to the best Ive had anywhere in Europe. My wife ordered a chocolate croissant, which was also great. She liked the tea they serve too.

Lovely and extremely friendly service! Great for quick stops to go or you have the option to stay in for a relaxing conversation over coffee and pastries. Not too small, and definitely worth a stop. I greatly appreciate their down-to-earth business without all the fancy frills. Simple and delicious.

The service is really good here. They can answer any question you might have. It is a little smaller for tables if you plan to work. They have tables outside as well which is very nice. Overall good cold brew and excellent tea. Highly recommend coming here.

Went here a few days ago. Im very particular about my coffee. Most of the time I expect to be disappointed. But let me tell, you Cielo gets it right. I ordered a red eye. Perfectly roasted, with great, fruity complexity. I was so impressed that I then ordered the espresso by itself, which was served with a glass of sparkling water. Excellent. Great product, great service, great attention to detail. Ill definitely be back next time Im in Santa Monica

Best Almond latte Ive had. Eduardo took his time to take care of my wife and I drinks. My wife and I had to go back and had more with really good pastries. Its walking distance from our place. Very convenient, fast and friendly staff

One of the finest coffees I have ever tasted. The satisfaction one gets by having their coffee is tremendously heavenly. The coffee is well made and served hot. Affordable to pocket and soothing to soul!

Cozy coffeeshop right on Main Street. Quality (read: carefully prepared and delicious) coffee is the name of the game. A decent amount of seating is available outside and in with restrooms available to patrons. Pleasant robin egg blue aesthetic tops of the experience.

The drinks were good and have alternative milk options. A bit pricey, but not absurd. They also use paper straws, but plastic single-use plastic cups.However, the barista wasnt friendly. A homeless man asked if we can buy him the drink we had (iced coffee). We said yes, so my friend went with him to buy the iced coffee. When the homeless man asked for it, the barista was making a cold brew instead of what he ordered. So he said, I wanted the iced coffee that you made for them. But then the barista said, But thats $5 in a condescending way. The barista finally made the iced coffee when my friend asked for the iced coffee and said that shes paying.

3 friends and I stumbled upon this place on a trip up the coast. We have been in a lot of coffee shops and I will say that this place is up there. All of our orders were delicious and quick. The atmosphere and the associates are very nice. Clean bathroom too.. (you can tell a lot about a place by the bathroom.. just saying.) Great job!

Great mocha lattes and other coffee drinks. Handmade with care, tasted really good. Pastries were also good. Close to the beach for an easy walk there or back.

Fantastic coffee without all the Nonsense of the artisanal places with huge lines. Theres always a seat and the staff (Cooper especially!) are friendly and fast.

Good espresso, but I’m tired of walking there on a weekend morning to find some ambiguous sign in the window saying they’re closed for maintenance - if there’s even a sign at all. This happens way too regularly. Maybe try waking up your social media from its coma to update your customers on this. I’ll just go to Menotti’s in Venice.

The best coffee in Santa Monica. Head to Head with Intelligencia. The beans here have a unique and floral taste with a touch of the deep nutty flavour you get at Intelligencia. The interior is a good intimate size and gets nice natural light as well. The prices could be a bit lower. NO coffee shop should charge more than $2 for an espresso. All the other drinks are priced well though.

Servers not too friendly; Im not saying they were rude, they werent, but they could have been friendlier.The coffee, both the regular and the espresso were not really good, and particularly acidic. The pastry with nutella had a layer that was so thin which was barely noticeable it was there. I am not going back.
