I was driving back to North Carolina from Orlando Florida Saturday evening. I came off the interstate and Savannah and my back right well hit a pothole and blew the sidewall of my tire out. I called Pep Boys and they had a tire available but it was 15 minutes until closing time. I told them I was about 10 to 15 minutes away and that they were my only hope to get a tire changed and get back on my way home. When I arrived they went right to work and Calvin and Joe took great care of me. Calvin was so professional and Joe did the work so quickly. Because of these guys and their willingness to stay late and their hard work I am able to make it back home for Fathers Day tomorrow! If you are in Savannah and you need any Tire work or anything else done please see the guys at Pep Boys!
My husband went up there yesterday around 3pm for an oil change only to be told the mechanic has left and no one else was able to do an oil change, which is very bizarre to be because from my understanding this location doesnt close for another 4 hours at 7 pm . I tried calling today to see if we could schedule an appointment for an oil change, only for me to hear the phone ring continuously for over 5 minutes. Then when someone DID answer, I was put on hold for 10 minutes only for the call to drop (or maybe they hung up on me). I regularly use pep boys to service my vehicles and this is is by far the worst experience I have had at pep boys.
These guys were great. I was on a road trip and had a problem with one of my tires. They took my car in right away and fixed the problem. Thank you for your efficient and friendly service.
Very happy with my experience! I was a little hesitant in the beginning because I had a very bad experience with a Pep Boys in another state several years ago. But I believe in second chances. From the beginning, Calvin answered the phone and was very nice. He needed to check on his inventory before he could answer my question and said he would call me back within 2 to 4 minutes. He in fact did do that and was able to locate the tires that I needed and told me to come in right away and he could have them put on my car. I was at the shop within 20 minutes and they quoted me an hour and a half wait time. I was very pleased with the efficiency, the quality of the product, and the especially the price! I will certainly go back if I have another minor car care need. Im also pleased to recommend this shop to friends!
Share details what part store dont sell car carpets? I will never darken your sorry again. To, lazy to look I hope a part store is in the future of this current places. This is total bull and shows how lazy people are now. And dont care about the job just what they can get off of The deal guess what if you worked for me you would have been fired!!!
Terrible experience. Had an appointment at 8am and when I get there they tell me they’re not opening up until 10am due to construction and for me to come back. First, why couldn’t they call me before I arrived and told me not to come in until 10? I can’t just come back later I had to make arrangements for this. So we leave the car there, I had to put my key in an envelope that only had Spanish on it so I had to write my info on the back which was sketchy. They call and tell me it was going to be $500 for a tune up and oil change. So I asked for a break down of the services so I knew what I was paying for. It took him 5 mins to have that number but took him another 45 mins to tell me why, and when he did call me back the estimate had gone up to $800. I told him to pull my car out and I won’t be back. Unprofessional, inconsistent, and inconsiderate. Not only did they waste my time but my friends time who had to come and pick me up and take me back to my car.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Ive used this facility three times purely based on an auto warranty from Carvana. On multiple occasions they would pick up the phone and hang up just to keep it from continuing to ring. Kept my vehicle for 6 hours to balance tires, not answer the phone and when they finally answer the phone tell me, ya its been done for a while. Lastly, they failed to reinstall a brace after replacing my battery. Of course the bolts were lost on the way home.
Calvin was awesome, we came in on Vacation to get our rear brakes and roters fixed, and were on a tight time line, he gave us a great competitive price even though he knew our situation, and didn’t take advantage of us. Everything was done in less than 2 hours. He was honest and has a lot of integrity.
Made an appointment which was pointless because they treated me like a walk-in then tried to sell me a new tire for a simple patch job drove over to Mavis tire and they took care of me under a hour
I’m pretty disappointed with my experience here. I’ve always liked going to pep boys and trusted them with my vehicle but this location was terrible. I made an appointment and when I showed up, I was told they had no technician so half the things I needed done weren’t gonna to be able to get serviced (which I had listed what needed done on my appointment booking). This was terribly inconvenient because I live an hour away. In the end, we at least got two new tires and an oil change done. However, I was also unsatisfied with my paperwork. They said that everything passed including my windshield wipers. Funny enough, my car does not have any wipers or blades at all! Makes me wonder if they bothered to check anything on my chicle if they didn’t even check the most obvious one correctly. I eventually made another appointment for when the technician would be there. When I arrived again, I explained how I was pretty sure I needed new CV Joints due to the horrible creaking sound my car would make. They told me they would do an evaluation and change them depending on their findings. Two hours later, they tell me the steering and everything else is fine, make me pay a 30 dollar evaluation fee and guess what? As soon as I pull out the parking lot, there goes that horrible creaking sound. Terrible service, will go elsewhere.
This location has terrible customer service. I was in route to NC from FL when my car AC went out. I called to schedule someone to look at it. When I got there one of workers said they were booked. I wasted 45 minutes driving over to not be serviced. They told me to come back on another day.

Very poor experience at the abercorn location! Had made a appointment for 1:00 for simple alignment and was rudely turned away. Manager explained they were to busy to help me! I was told to go to Savannah tire for help! As I sat out front in my vehicle I watched there service techs just standing around one was cutting his fingernails ! Not sure if I would go there again. Savannah tire took me right in and was much cheaper as well
Not worth the cheap price. Staff moves slow as Christmas even with people waiting in line. On 3 different occasions my appointment was not honored, either due to no mechanics being there or simply just more cars in front of me on line. Why would i bother making an appointment if no one will be there to perform the task or my time slot cannot be honored?

I went to the pepboys in Savannah Georgia on 03/03/2021. I went to see what was going on with my ac so I had a diagnostic. I was told I needed a ac compressor and they was trying to charge me 3000. So I had someone else to do it and while they were replacing it they didn’t see the dye and nothing was wrong with my ac compressor. Now I’m out of $400, when I just needed an ac relay and it was $20. I wish I could put no stars, and these big companies need to stop trying to take advantage of us especially during this pandemic!!!

Dont go here. Made an appointment 24 hours in advance to replace badly worn tires due to a failed alignment and get the lifetime alignment they offered. Showed up 20 minutes early and was told my alignment guys gone for the day, he just left, so you aint getting no alignment today. So I asked if I could at least get the 4 tires and I could handle the alignment the next day. They only had 3 of one tire type in my size, and 2 in the other. I received confirmation emails and texts confirming my appointment. They obviously do not care about people even enough to verify they have tires for all their appointments. This place should be shut down.
Very pleased with the service. We had some concerns with a recent purchase that was under warranty through SilverRock. They verified our concerns, contacted the warranty company for us, and had everything replaced in just a few hours.
I Scheduled an appointment for my Range Rover to do oil change. Waited 40 minutes in line just to have a tiered service person tell me “sorry, we do not service Range Rover”.I tried to ask if they can’t change the oil, check the breaks and do standard service. I just got- “sorry we do not service Range Rover”.Should put it on your website when you ask which car is being serviced.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. I made an appointment earlier in the week for today (5/16/20) at 10:00AM. I needed an oil change and I knew it was probably time to get my brakes replaced so I asked them to look at those as well. I show up the day of my appointment at 9:50AM. There’s two guys in front of me and only one man working at the desk. It takes just shy of 30 minutes before it’s my turn to check in. Not a good sign, but there’s only one guy and he has to go out and check the other two guys cars so it’s not that bad of a wait. I tell him I have an appointment and we go out and check my car. He tells me that they’ll take a look at my brakes and then give me an estimate and I’ll be good to go. He also tells me that since I have an appointment he’ll put my keys in a red holder so that the technicians know I have priority. Great! An hour and half goes by and it’s now 11:30. Nobody has said anything to me and I’m the only one waiting in the seating area. I get up, walk around and the guy who was at front desk sees me, but I don’t saying because I hate complaining or asking how long something is going to take because I know that most of the time the person at the front desk doesn’t actually have a definite answer. I sit back down and a couple of minutes later he comes over and says the technician is finishing up something and then they’ll come over and explain what’s going on with my breaks. Cool, I think. Then ANOTHER hour and a half goes by and it’s now 1:00PM. Which is 3 HOURS after my appointment. A lady comes over to me and hands me an estimate for over $600. I wasn’t planning on paying that much so I asked “Have they finished the oil change?” She responds with “I don’t know I just got here.” Probably not untrue, because she’s not the man who checked me in 3 hours earlier, but not the answer I wanted. I tell her I’m just ready to leave and don’t want to wait on the breaks today. She says okay and I followed her up to the front. She tells me they’re pulling my car around and I say okay. The man who pulled my car around comes in and hands me my keys. I stand there, thinking I need to pay for the oil change. The lady then says from across the room “ you can leave. You don’t owe anything.”Wow. I sat here for 3 hours and nothing happened to my car. No oil change, no new brakes. And I had scheduled an appointment. I know that car shops let you schedule appointments and that doesn’t mean they’ll be able to get to you car at that exact time, but this was crazy. To wait 3 hours and leave with nothing I came in for is ridiculous. This place obviously doesn’t care about their customers time. I would recommend going literally anywhere else. Honestly you could probably go to school to be a mechanic and graduate before they got around to looking at your car.

Horrible. Do not waste your time or money. Made an appointment and selected the tires I wanted said they have them in stock. Get there at appointment time I have to wait to talk to someone 30 minutes. Someone finally comes tells me they need to look for the tires they take ten minutes while chatting on the phone with what was a wife or gf. Then tell me they don’t have the tire they sold them that morning m even though they were reserved for me. We’ve used this pep boys several times in the past and had no issue. The past week I’ve had a nearly impossible time trying to get an oil change. The first appointment I wait and hour with my car untouched. I left, and made an appointment for a different day. This oil change took well over an hour. I’ve never had to wait more than 40 minutes for an oil change anywhere. Go somewhere else.

The store is closing, which is a blessing after the horrible customer service that they are known for. I stood in front of a product for 10 minutes trying to find a price - meanwhile the manager kept pacing back and forth at the front of that very aisle. Not once did he ask if I needed any help. He just flat out ignored me. That is how it has been at this location as long as I have been going there - at least 8 years.Good-bye, and good-riddance!!!
We dropped my husbands car off around 1:15 p.m. to get two new front tires, and five hours later no call. The time was approaching 6:15 p.m. and they close at 7 p.m. on Saturdays, so we decided to go back and see what was taking so long. We arrived and saw that the car wasnt in the spot we left it and noticed the new tires, but we wondered why didnt they call us to come retrieve our car? We went inside and the phone was ringing like crazy, so I guess the lady who works the inside had left for the day. One of the guys that work on the cars checked us out, so I cant really blame him because it was busy. I just feel that there should always be someone at the desk to answer calls and check customers out, as well as call and let them know when their cars are ready. I will never use them again due to this experience.
Wouldn’t rate it even one star if I could. I’ve called and called trying to talk to someone about getting 4 new tires on my mustang and it appears they hang up everytime!!! I will be taking my business to Firestone

They made us waiting today, for 3 hrs, under the circumstances that the car stayed untouched in the shop, for at least half an hour. One of the workers, James, was not able to take down the tires or to put back the lug nuts! My husband saw it all from customer area. The equilibrium was made superficially, and corrected afterwards after huge discussion. They tried to say that they guarantee for their work, but dear Pep Boys, who guarantees for our lives when you make such mistakes? Secondly!The collegue of mr.James, the specialist that gave us the warantee, put the front left tire on the clockwise direction, against the recommandation on the tire.Thirdly : they pulled out of the shop one car, a Wolkswagen Golf 5 and almost hit another car: a Hyundai. Good job!
Very helpful technicians. We were in a tough situation and they helped us out tremendously even though it was close to their closing time. Very polite and friendly. Would recommend 10/10. The manager Calvin made sure that everything was done correctly and efficiently.
Pep boys you REALLY NEED TO PURCHASE UP TO DATED COMPUTER SYSTEM. WE WERE WAITING ON THE COMPUTER TO BRING UP THE SERVICE REQUEST ALMOST AS LONG AS IT TAKES FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION!!! Doesn’t deserve one star ! Took my truck there for new tires because it was the only place they had them in stock couldn’t even balance one and I’ll take them somewhere else to be put back on and balanced. The store is a joke and so all the workers don’t waste your time or your money.

I came in from Columbus, GA. It was a long drive listening to my splash guard drag across the asphalt for almost 4 hours (my car is a curb magnet). Frank is the employee who helped me tremendously. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The computer system seemed to be slow. Employees were working around it as well as the heat. Corporate, please update your systems so your staff can help customers with ease! I am not complaining about the employees. I am complaining about the system your employees are given! Kudos to all the staff members making vacation a little less hassle free! Thank you again!
Buyers-bewhere. Took my truck in for new brakes and rotors. Spend 1,000 dollars and began having issues immediately. Store manager took days to return my call. Area manager fails to return my calls. This operation is terribly managed and I would stay away from doing business with this location. I called customer service multiple times however after 3 hours on hold multiple days and no resolution I gave up.
Dropped the car off for an AC check and service at 12pm. At 4:30 (they close at 7) I was called and asked if I could leave the car over night which is a no go as it is needed to work this weekend. Im told the tech needs time to find the leak. I asked if they could just add freon with the dye in the mean time. I am placed on hold and when she returns she tells me $221.00. No thanks we will go elsewhere. I normally go to Rutland but they couldnt do it until next week. 65.00 to just check the AC!!! Rutland is like 30 bucks and I even called Firestone today and they are 60.00 bucks for everything as well. No thanks Ill never bring a car here again. Typical mechanic shop charging high prices. This is what I get for not being patient. Always shop around.

When I do a walk-in, I expect to wait as long as it takes, but when I set an appointment, I shouldn’t have to wait over an hour only to see that they haven’t even started on my car. Meanwhile the garage had several open stalls. I finally gave up and left.
Was gonna go in and purchase a set of Weathertech floor liners, which is a custom item I knew would have to be ordered. First guy just said “floor mats are over there” Guy at the parts counter just told me to go online and order them. I could have saved a trip if that’s the case, I just like to shop local. Luckily there were other places that were willing to place my order to make sure I got the right thing. Won’t go back!!!
I visited pep boys in Savannah Georgia this morning. I came in for an oil changed however I did not have an appointment but it was almost impossible to do.I was told the wait would be more than forty five min even though it’s was merely 8am this morning. The customer service was poor the lady at the counter offered not much assistance and the other man at the counter proceeded to laugh .They made it clear that my business was not needed by Their actions.I have even purchased tires for my SUV previously.I will not return again for any services from this establishment.I will not recommend them to anyone I know.The prices are really not the best in town but since I have had my car serviced there before I thought I would patronize them again .They don’t deserve that one star.

I took my Lexus to pep boys and received the work service that I have ever gotten in my life time they had a guy look at my car who was not ase certified he told me I needed a motor without checking the timing chain or nothing then I was told to come pick up my vehicle and some one had pulled all my things out and ram shack my car . Just so happen the district manager was there and me as a customer he did nothing to rectify the situation and make me feel good as a customer .I would not advise anyone to go-to this pep boys they dont have qualified people and like to over charge u for simple stuff and theyre service totally sucked
Went in to check my AC system. It turned out I needed a new compressor. They gave me a good deal with the pricing compared to other automotive service shops. It took them a couple hours but everything came out great. Thanks guys for an excellent job.
Like I said I went in to have a thermostat changed everything was going good until about 5 hours later Nathan the service assistant manager comes to me tells me the mechanic over torqued the bolt broke it and proceeded to tell me there was a hairline crack in it already he told me dont worry about it were going to fix it on their dime just got to wait till Wednesday get the part last Friday came I wake up I call them the store manager Kevon tells me I was going to cost you $1,000 now no help at all wont go down in the price after you know them admitting the mistake Ive had multiple mechanics look at it and tell me the same thing that this looks like a mechanical error which I understand I just want it fixed and they all told me theres no oxidation so if there was a hairline crack it would be noticeable and they just unprofessional I would not recommend going there for service work ever I called corporate on top of it and they were no help they stuck to their word and they couldnt even cut me a deal Im not going to take my car back there so they could potentially break something else and then blame me for it yeah right guys are a joke
Appointment time was 10:00 am, service wasnt started on my car until 11:15 am. It took another hour to complete. No sense of urgency whatsoever. No issues with the mechanics but issues with the point of contact person(s). Just remember, jokes get you no where when you have an irritated customer. I know its all about making money but customer service should always be top priority. Those customers with an appointment should be serviced first...period! BTW...I had two tires replaced. I got home and my tire pressure light came on. Why wasnt that checked before returning my car ? You can do better Pep Boys.
Highly misleading website. Looked up a product on the website and the website indicated that the product was available in the store. I drove over 1 hour to the store to pickup the product. When I got there I was told that the store is permanently close. Why is the website not updated to inform us that the store is closed? Highly misleading and irresponsible.
Dont expect five star service here! It took almost two hours for an oil change and I was their only customer for much of that time. I watched the tech take his phone out of his pocket to read and send texts no fewer than five times while he was supposed to be changing my oil. Go to Jiffy Lube - you will get better service at a lower price.
I did not feel they went beyond customer service. My account has been compromised and my email is in access of more than one person. I did not leave the last review that had 5 stars. A Latino or Mixed manager was hired recently who was the one who called me to offer the return and the only one who they designated to work with me. I thank them for the return money for the fuel pump. The car seems to be running well now after they last said that the issues were resolved. It would have been appreciated had I got an apology from each of them that dealt with me, but thats forgiven. It is a car that the service really benefits the next owner, but not me. I said if the car was serviced right I will give them a positive feedback, so I am giving a 4 because they said the issue with it was fixed. Thank you and take care. June 26, 2018
I came in yesterday to inquire about tires for my vehicle, gal at desk said I needed to schedule, they dont do same day. I went home, scheduled for 10am this morning (Sunday), got here early, gal unlocked the door and she cant help, No TECHNICIAN to install tires. Asked gal when theyd be in...dont know, asked gal to call whomever is scheduled...cant do, not a manager. She claims due to cut backs, shes on a minimal staff. Asked to speak to manager, cant do, NO manager on duty. Needless to say, THIS IS MY LAST exchange with PEP Boys, and WILL tell everyone I come into contact with of the unprofessional business pratice.
Quick oil change and they accept our fleet of vehicles. My only problem was the gentleman told me my tires were rotated and they clearly were not- I have a broken hubcap and a small paint mark on two tires... those tires were never moved- maybe it’s Murphy’s Law but now (after the supposed rotation) my vehicle shakes as shows the need of a tire rotation...
Service was amazing! Patricia was super friendly and efficient. We bought tires and a front end alignment with ease. Our service was quick! We did not have to wait a long time I highly recommend Pep Boys for service.

We spent 5 hours at pep boys in savannah to get a front brake job. When we left we had to come right back because of a loud scrubbing on the drivers side. Then on the way home the right side scrubs now we have to drive 88 miles back to get fixed never again just went back with scrubbing brakes and instead of fixing the brakes they gave my wife a quote for the front bearings WHAT The HELL
I had a great time. Got there at the appointment time they put my tires on Jason even addressed a system issue without any trouble. While I was waiting I bought some snacks and Tori and Scott were very friendly and made my time go by much faster! Awesome people!
I had an issue with a tire that needed to be repaired. It was a nail in the tire so it needed attention rather quickly. So, I went online and made an appointment for the same day, later in the afternoon. I got a text message confirming my appointment. I showed up and had to wait forever for someone to come to the service desk. Once he finally got there, he proceeded to tell me that they didn’t do same day appointments. Puzzled, I said that the website allowed me to make an appointment. He very rudely replied “I know that” then explained himself and said “do you get that?” as if I’m stupid. He then said it would be a two-hour wait. Learn some customer service skills. I went down the road to a locally-owned competitor and received fast, efficient service.

The people were very nice but it took 5 Hours to change my tires, 5! I am still here, at 2pm and my apt was at 9! He told me it might be 2-2.5hrs because they only had one tech, which I said would be fine but then I noticed people coming in after me leaving first so they either forgot about me or did them first, either way I have NEVER waited that long for tires! If it was going to take longer than 3hr then I would have dropped it off!!
Stopped by for maintenance service on my automobile, estimated time of completion was two hours. To my surprise, the job was completed within 45 minutes. Excellent customer service, excellent timing, excellent pricing.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND! I was confused by the poor reviews of this Pep boys, until I found out that they are under new management now. Kevon and his team truly took customer service to a whole new level. The service was absolutely impeccable and for the first time (maybe ever) I felt confident when I left an automotive shop with my kids in the car. I will never go to anywhere else again, Kevon and his team have treated me like family and completely won my trust! Great people, great prices, great products, great service! Take it from a skeptic, this is the only shop in Savannah you want working on your car.

I walked into Pep Boys today and asked for help with a bulb in my brake light. Charles Griffin helped me in the service department and I could not have asked for a better experience and then I was introduced to Daniel Dixon who was just as helpful and just as nice! They installed the bulb and put on new wipers in no time flat! These gentlemen helped me to have an outstanding morning. My experience, because of these 2 men, would make me recommend anyone to go into the Pep Boys store on Abercorn in Savannah GA and seek help with your car. Thank you guys for being so good to me!

28May15, Store 0129, Service Tech Charles Griffin (5 stars for Charles!)My car had a flat tire and was brought in by AAA on a flatbed. I arrived close to 5pm and the service department was very busy and backlogged and had nine cars ahead of me. They checked me in and I waited for them to get a chance to look at the tire to see if it could be repaired. The store had some issues with staffing around 8pm, their normal shift, and had technicians leaving even though people were waiting for service. Two other customers like myself, couldnt leave because it was our only car and we had no other transportation. Charles Griffin, my tech, was super nice and attended to all three of us and promised to do his best to get us taken care of as quickly as he could. He stayed after his shift to make sure we got service. He was pleasant and very customer focused. One customer had two kids and she had to leave because the kids were tired and crying, but he offered to take care of her any day that she could and he would take care of her right away since she had already paid for the service. Charles tried to do the right thing and was very sorry he couldnt help her more than he already had. I think he should be recognized for being a great employee and despite my long wait, nearly 4 hours, I would come to PepBoys again because of people like Charles Griffin.
I just wanted to say thank you to Michael, Dennis and the young lady who keeps everyone in line at this awesome Pep Boys. I was dropping my daughter off to college when my vehicle had broken down. They were able to get me up and running within a couple of hours. Thanks for the help and keep up the good work👊🏿
Took my vic for an synthetic oil change and they never rotated the tires, call them later and told me they did, they didn’t know that I had low pressure on the rear tire. Very unprofessional

Well the only reason I went to Pep Boys was because Im single...I typically go to auto parts stores and Home Depot trying to help my future husband find me 😔... But anyway the store was well equipped the sales associates were super friendly and helpful even though I didnt buy anything nor did my future husband find me...
Unprofessional and rude counter service. Would never again take my vehicle to this location. Refused to take any responsibility for tire order mistake. After an hour wait for scheduled wheel alignment and tire purchase and installation, contacted me by phone and told me my online order was was wrong and it was my fault. When I tried to explain that it was their web site and I followed instruction, I was hung up on. Went to pick up my vehicle, service person Patricia first denied hanging up on me and the said I used profanities with her. Continued to blame me for mistake. Spoke with Assistant Manager Calvin. No apologies or solutions offered. I am a former auto shop teacher and have worked as a professional mechanic. In my 66 years, this is the shoddiest service attitude I have ever witnessed at a repair facility. Patricia would not be employed by me any longer.
Great service!!! Prices very reasonable. For customers waiting on their car repaired they have free coffee. They have a rewards program.
I had a 11am appointment at Pep Boys on 8/5/2018. Needless to say, they only had one mechanic on site and I didnt get my oil changed until 1:20pm. The mechanic didnt greet me nor, did he tell me what was going on with my car. He had the clerk tell me. I made a complaint with Charles (assistant manager) he laughs at me and said that appointments arent allowed on the weekends. I asked him why did it allow me to make one online? He blamed it on his corporate office. So, I called them. Even the customer service person at Pep Boys corporate seemed like he didnt care about my complaint. That rep stated that someone would call me in 24 hours. I have yet to get a call from management.I checked out and told Charles that I would never come back to his location ever again. He then tried to offer me a free oil change but, the damage was already done. I spent 2 hours to pay for an oil change. No one seemed apologetic or concerned about their miscommunication and lack of service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO PEP BOYS.

I went to Pep Boys for New Tires and an Oil Change. Wait times and quality of service were everything you expect from a pro, nothing more and nothing less, but the customer service of Sarah was truly stellar. She went above and beyond to help me get the tires and services I needed for the absolute best price and all the while she really made me feel like I was getting The VIP Treatment. Ill definitely be returning to this store and sending more business that way as well. Thanks for everything Sarah Super Service Long!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Pep Boys for about 5 years. Recently you guys started the rewards program and I started receiving coupons for services. Today I went to The Abercorn Location, Savannah GA. I asked the man behind the counter how much a high mileage oil change was (there are no prices posted in store). He said it was $54.99 I said ok great I have a $20 off Coupon. He says nothing and then presents me with the work order and it says $79.99. I asked him didn’t he just say it was $54.99 he said yes. I asked why it was higher. He said tax… I said $20.00 in tax? He said no its $ 79.99 and the coupon will come off after the service. So basically anyone walking in off the street can get an oil change for less than I can with a coupon for being a loyal customer. This does not seem like a good business practice in an industry that is famous for taking advantage of women. I promise I will never do business with your company again.
Dropped off my truck for an oil change. Ashley called me to let me know that they cant do it because my truck is too heavy. Doesnt know the difference between curb weight and GVWR. Decided that I really didnt want to get my truck worked on there.
I brought my car in for tires and balancing last week. I must admit I am old school and expect good service from retail establishments. What was nice is that they took it for a test drive to insure everything was Ok before turning it over to me. What I liked was the interpersonal skills and the eye contact when speaking to me, dont see much of that any more. The mechanic that worked on my car was really knowledgeable telling me if I find any problems come back....there were no problems. I liked the service, the employees, and the prices....my kind of store.thanks Pep Boys !
Hard to get in for any appointment without waiting around forever. Theyre always busy and understaffed. Decent job on the oil change and best price in town but I will probably just start doing it myself since I can do it quicker.
Do NOT come here!!! I made an appointment for an oil change and had to wait for 3 hours!!! It was very expensive, too, and THEN my oil started leaking after the oil change. So, I made another appointment, and after waiting for another 3 hours, I go and inquire how much longer I need to wait, and they hadn’t even looked at my vehicle yet!!! This place is a scam! Not to mention, they were going to charge me for a diagnostic of where the leak is coming from, even though it was clearly their fault since my vehicle didn’t start leaking until they changed my oil. Do not come here unless you want to waste your time and your money.
I was coming into Savannah to take some stray kittens to be fixed. The battery in my husbands truck almost didnt start when I stopped for gas. I went to advance auto and the woman there was very rude so on to Pep Boys. I explained what was going on and that I had to get to the vets office to drop off the kittens. They pulled it into the bay, only took a couple of minutes. Charles came out explained what was wrong with the battery and told me I could take the kittens and drop them off and come back if I wanted a battery. Of course I did. So off to the vet I go, drop off the kittens then head back to Pep Boys. It took only a few minutes. Charles was so helpful and considerate. He is an asset to your company. If I still lived in Savannah we would still be shopping there.

Let me start off with saying that I do have access to a mount and balancer, I do not like to do tires at all though. So i will happily pay a shop to. I like to choose a difference place to go get my tires mounted at each time; so i can recommend places. I test them with a drop off tire to see if the shop does reputable work. Before I went it I sharpied my valve to see if they changed it since it was dry rotted and leaking. So i went in for a simple mount and balance on a loose tire. Core was already removed, everything was prepped for them to install it other then the center cap. Told them that the valve was damaged and needed to be replaced as well. Once left it took 2 1/2 hours to be completed(Above average time for 1 dropped off tire). Once it was complete went in to pay for it, saw no center cap, the tech forgot to put it on and had left; luckily they had found it on the balance machine. Got home and installed the tire, there was scuff marks over the tire(to whom it may concern, no concern to me since i have used tire machines before). Checked the psi and it was at 41 psi(again, no concern to me since it was loose tire with no information as to the amount needed.)Then I noticed the valve was not replaced and no valve cap was installed either. So now after paying roughly $20, I have to go and remove the tire myself, put a new valve in, and re-balance the tire. basically payed $20 to have to go and redo the job correctly.
I recently purchased some hubcaps for my car at the Montgomery Crossroads location in Savannah, GA. The ones I purchased did not fit. One actually flew off on the way home, I called to speak to a manager 4 times about the hubcaps and just could not get a call back, then finally I spoke to a young lady named Crystal, and she was wonderful. So professional and courteous. She found the proper ones to fit and actually came outside and installed them herself. In 15 minutes I was headed back to work and had time to eat some lunch. She is a true asset to the company and makes a happy customer who will return the next time I need any work on my car.
Called on a Friday because my air conditioning was broken. They told me to drop it off first eon Saturday and theyd look at it. Dropped it off overnight and then spoke with Reggie first thing on Saturday morning. I told him I didnt need it the next day. Never heard from them until I called at 615 Saturday night. They hadnt even looked at my car and no idea when they would on Sunday. If I had known that, I would have found someone to look at it on Saturday. I had to rent a car on Sunday and was finally told it was ready Sunday afternoon. Since I wad out of town, I started driving home on Monday. My air conditioning still isnt working. What a waste

It was late and they were about 20 min from closing I came in to service my car and they were very helpful and stayed open a bit longer to help me install my car battery. Thank you guys so much!! 😄
Worst Pep Boys experience ever at Abercorn Savannah Georgia... We are loyal pep boys customers from Pittsburgh Pa... we were travelling and something happened with our vehicle we stopped at the closest store... we called them Saturday to make an appointment and said they werent able to fit us in so we were told to come in first thing Sunday morning because they dont make appointments... so we got a hotel and spent the night in Savannah... we told them what the problem was and they said no problem well be able to fix it... in reality that was not the case, after my husband called to see what was up they said we cant fix the shocks... really... they didnt even call us to tell us... I wonder how long it would have taken for them to call us... All I have to say is worst experience ever... stayed in Savannah for nothing... wasted not only our hard earned money our time as well... very dissapointed in the whole experience
