Very uninformative company, did nothing give any updates on HHG and after we called a month after they supposedly moved our stuff they couldn’t tell us where their driver is and stated our goods were still at the original destination with no proposed date to be where we were. Unprofessional and not courteous.

Wonderful customer communication. Wonderful scheduling. Wonderful crew moving out and moving in. Wouldnt consider any other company!!!(I have moved 3x in the past few years and this was by far THE BESTMOVE ever). No need to shop around.

Incredibly unprofessional moving experience. It took a five-person crew twelve hours to move out a two bedroom apartment on the third floor, and my wife and I carried many of the boxes to the moving truck. Our items were poorly packed, resulting in damages sustained to many of our belongings. The crew argued periodically throughout the day, and several of them left before the job was done. What is more, a crew member cut her finger during packing, and proceeded to bleed on nearly all of our dishware - a significant biohazard. Finally, when conducting the final inventory, the same crew member got ink stains on our leather couch, which a different crew member then annotated as damages already present. The general manager arrived at the end of the day to assist, which was the silver lining on an otherwise awful experience.

Our recent moving experience with Mayflower was the best ever. Moving from one coast to the other is never an easy experience, however, Mayflower provided support, understanding and excellent communication to make our move as smooth as possible. From their timely fair estimate to top service with some packing, a great loading crew, a caring driver, another great unloading crew, car transport of one of our vehicles with another excellent driver. In addition we received timely updates on the phone and by email. Every item was delivered in good condition. They were the best.

Excellent move! Stress free (almost) Dale and crew worked tirelessly to ensure our move was on time and without damage to our furnishings. Theresa the move coordinator was invaluable to the move making sure the move was seamlessly executed.

Run far far way - do not choose this company for your move. Choosing a moving company can be confusing and overwhelming. Let me do you a favor and eliminate Nilson/Mayflower from the running. We decided to go with Mayflower, thinking that a bigger company would be more responsible for our move from SC to FL. Boy were we wrong. They violated our contract and did not fulfill our move as promised during every single step of the process. Moving is stressful enough and this company made it down right horrible and traumatizing.The SHORT version is:- They sent a small truck instead of tractor trailer on load day even though we had a 3,000 sqft house to load and we knew right away everything wouldnt fit. We were promised a tractor trailer.- The load crew that showed up was awful. The opposite of friendly, I could hear them yelling and swearing at each other constantly. When I asked for them to move a certain couch that wasnt coming with us (go figure, movers move something) the men became physically aggressive and yelled at me. (Im a 52 woman)- The load crew was awful, it took them FOREVER to load. THEN we had to wait for a 2nd truck, because it all wouldnt fit. DUH.- 1st shipment arrives to FL - golf cart is 100% broken (spent $1000 to fix it)- 2nd shipment arrives weeks later...but wait...half of it is missing. No one knows where it is...- 2 weeks later, oh we found your stuff- 2 weeks later, remaining stuff delivered. Items still missing, and loads of broken items.- On top of all this, they charged us for the full move amount BEFORE all of our things were delivered which is in violation of contract. When I asked for this to be fixed while we waited 4 weeks for the rest of our stuff to be found/delivered, I was told they would not do it.Nobody at Mayflower or Nilson Van and Storage cared about this horrific and stressful process we endured. We paid double what other movers quotes us because we thought wed get what we paid for. NOPE.I couldnt get a hold of anyone at customer service until we filed a BBB complaint. They hire day laborers to load and unload so you are getting unvetted, random people at your home who do not care about representing the parent company.Bottom line is: do not choose Mayflower or United. (They are the same companies) This decision cost us thousands of dollars in damages and incredible emotional strain. Never again.

Nilson Van & Storage did an amazing job during my move from GA to MO. When they first arrived at my home, I was a little confused. They only sent 2 people for a 3 bedroom house. Usually they send 3-4. The gentleman told me that they would get everything done in 1 day. I looked at him with one of those looks & doubted him. By 1830, they were done with the whole house and I was shocked.During our packout we conducted our inventory & noticed no damage to our items. They did a great job of ensuring that all our HHGs were packed properly and that they were wrapped accordingly. The 2 gentlemen were very respectful and professional, their sole purpose was to ensure that all our items were packed correctly.I highly recommend Nilson Van & Storage for your move. My wife & I were very happy with the service that was provided. Thank you.

I have moved about a dozen times so I know what to expect. This was very disappointing. And it was a local move that I made. The day of packing we did not have the right number of people until several hours into the day. That resulted in the packers working late into the evening.The next day the movers showed up with the wrong sized truck and down a few movers. That took several hours to resolve. Because they were short staffed they did not finish the move on Friday. And we had to wait until Sunday to get the rest of our goods.Good thing is that they only broke one item, although its a one of a kind item. Despite being short staffed they manage to charge me my full estimate of the price which is based on man hours.

I would highly recommend this company. Very friendly and professional staff. They took their time to make sure everything was properly wrapped and boxed in the best way possible. They communicated clearly and asked all the right questions. This is an overseas move so I am anticipating to see how everything turns out in 2 months!

I moved from SC to TN, and this was the first time I used a moving service. I had three companies provide me with estimates. The estimator sat down and explained everything to me, answered questions, and made me feel at ease. These guys were hands-down the best company I had come provide me with an estimate, so it was a no-brainer to go with Mayflower/Nilson Van & Storage. The estimator and the moving coordinator were quick to respond to emails and an absolute pleasure to work with. Everybody involved was very professional. The driver/mover stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process and took into consideration dates that would work best for me to pick-up and deliver. I packed and unpacked my own boxes.I felt like my belongings were handled with care. I received everything in excellent condition. Upon delivery, the guys took time to make sure I had everything and made sure I didnt need help moving things around. I would highly recommend Mayflower/Nilson Van & Storage to anybody!

I was very please with Nilson Van & Storage. They came in a timely fashion, were very through and care about packing my things. They did not rush and was impressed with the job that they did. I was updated on my belongings as to where it was as it was coming cross country (2100 mile trip). The truck delivered on the date promised and was pleased to see that my belongings arrived in one piece.Thank you Nilson Van & Storage / Mayflower.

This company is a joke an Id guess any good reviews came directly from them. They literally throw your furniture into their trailer with no pads and bust everything you own.

Fabulous. Bethany, Rob, Dale and Sons were all terrific! I would use them again and would highly recommend them to my friends and family.
