Worst customer service Ever.TheyDid not have my truck, did not seem to care. I asked them to please call when truck was available, they never called. Tried to call the 5 for 6 times, no answer..service.I had a reservation. I needed the truck today. Really caused a lot of problems
Great! This is a very busy location; however everyone offers personable service. There was a mistake on fuel level on my outgoing contract and one of the reps stayed with me and walked me through the steps to make the correction.Upon returning, there was an error made on closing my contract.I contacted the temporary, fill-in manager, Christopher Spears, and he refunded my money without a problem.Both days that I was there, Christopher managed his team in the most professional, respectful way amidst all of the moving parts of the constant stream of equipment checking in for cleaning and going out for customers to pick up.I dont know how he kept it all going with a smile on his face and genuine concern for every customer.While cleaning vehicles and directing his team, I saw him ask every customer standing around, Are you being taken care of? Is there anything I can do for you?He didnt leave anyone, customer or employee, until he resolved their issue personally or connected them with someone else who could.Amazing!This type of customer service is rare!He even listened patiently on the phone when I called back with my issue even though the store was busy then.He explained that the store was busy at the moment, but that hed write himself a note and put it in his pocket (because he always empties his pockets when he gets home) to make sure he got the matter resolved before the next day. He even notified me by e-mail as he said he would if it was too late in the evening to call.Based on the negative comments Ive seen in these reviews, it seems to me that Christopher should get assigned here permanently!I definitely will get my future rentals from this location especially if Christopher is there.I do not reward bad service with my good money and this rental at this location under Christopher was definitely a good use of my good money!
This location has any kind of U-haul equipment you could need including trucks, trailers, auto transports, and more. They got us the equipment we needed even in the middle of a nationwide moving truck shortage. They accommodated our unique situation. The employees at this location went out of their way to help us when we had an issue with a tire on our auto transport trailer. We were unable to get any response over 2 days from the U-Haul roadside assistance and the employees here did everything they could to help us. They worked with us in the pouring rain and got us back on the road with a new trailer very quickly. Shout out to employees Jeremy, Charlie, and Q!

What a horrible experience. I dropped my girlfriend off to pick up a truck and trailer for moving day. The truck was sticky and had cut up seats. The drivers seat was not able to adjust up, and unfortunately she could not see well enough to safely drive. The trailer we were given had a heavily rusted handle and latch. She requested a different one as several others around had handles that were fine. The trailer was replaced after more rude and snide comments with another rusty handle.Joanne was unhelpful and outright rude. When asked to help resolve problems, she gave snide comments and an extremely unprofessional attitude. This is what I would expect a child to behave like, not a grown adult working in customer service.The GM, Amy was no better. When asked to switch out trailers, she stomped off like a toddler. She failed to correct her employees rude behavior and opted to partake in it instead. She behaved as if this problem was unbelievable and had ruined her whole day.The customer service was so bad that I had to drove back across town to meet my girlfriend. We canceled the rent and will be reaching out to U-Haul corporate. This is downright pathetic and unacceptable.
Poor communication and customer service at this particular Uhaul store. Not sure where they find some of these workers but to say they pay attention to detail and strive for excellence in customer service would be a hyperbole. Horrible experience.

This has been a terrible experience. Move in was a complete disorganized, all-day disaster because they did not check their available units before assigning them. They are not honoring the free month they promised and I cannot get in touch with the GM (the person the assistant GM said I needed to speak with about this issue) via phone or email, despite several attempts.

Arrive at 9am for scheduled appointment to install hitch on my Kia Sorento. Asked how long it would take and they said about an hour. Left and got breakfast and came back around 10am. Came back and it wasnt yet bolted onto the vehicle. No problem, these things sometimes take more time.Fast forward to 2pm of waiting in the parking lot. Was told there was a blown fuse in my car that was stopping the wiring from getting power to my trailer light harness. Was handed an obviously good fuse. To appease the installer, I went to parts stores to find the special fuses but to no avail. Get back and ask why he thought this fuse was bad. Get a nonsense answer to which I called him on. Asked him to try another fuse in the engine bay to show me that it would work if I replaced the fuse. I was told that a bigger fuse would blow out too if tried in place of a smaller. Told him that was a silly assertion and he did as I asked. Still no power with his test light. Hooked it up to a set of spare trailer lights and it worked just fine...Nothing wrong with the fuse, must have been a bad test light.Ok...Not a big deal...Manager calls me over and shows me that the drivers side trim behind my hatch was broken during install. She was very nice about this and said that their insurance would fix it (in several weeks potentially). Ok, things happen. Then the wife pointed out that the passenger side trim panel behind the the hatch was busted too. Not sure if they were going to not tell us about the other side or not as it was covered in electrical tape that the installer said was to mark it to show the manager, but honestly it looks like it was to cover it up as I didnt notice it until the wife pointed it out and neither the installer nor the manager pointed that one out to me. That kind of made me a little upset, but not visibly. I wasnt rude to short with them, I just pointed it out. In their defense, the manager was very apologetic about the situation and again assured us that the insurance would get it fixed (potentially in several weeks).Ok, whatever. Then I was told the trailer wiring has to hang from the inside of my hatch to the outside to have access to it and to close the hatch on top of it. This is super hideous and not at all professional looking. How can this be? I have seen many install videos online for my particular vehicle and shows them doing the wiring underneath the vehicle and affixing it near the hitch for easy clean access without wiring hanging through my hatch.On top of everything, the installer was chain smoking cigarettes when my back hatch open and him working under it and dropping ashes everywhere. If this was my 03 Silverado, I wouldnt care, but this is a 2017 car that we have had a month and neither I nor my wife smoke cigarettes and would prefer our car not to smell like them.Bottom line is we are $400 poorer with a seemingly solid hitch, broken interior pieces, janky wiring install, and 6 hours out of our Friday pushing our trip out another day. If you go here, watch them do the install and make SURE to check behind them. If I had it to do over again, I would go to the Abercorn location. Maybe they could run the wiring correctly or at least better than your average shade tree mechanic.UPDATE: Just noticed that my car is dragging the wiring underneath the car that goes from the battery to the wiring box in the back of the car and my back bumper has scuffs and scratches all over it...Avoid this place like the plague!
You better hope you never have a flat tire or breakdown. We bought the insurance and still couldnt get any help. We tried the uhaul.com help line and also called direct. We tried the local store we rented from and still no help. After sitting on the side of the road for over an hour, customer service finally called. We waited another 30 minutes for roadside assistance to call us and say the might be able to get to us in a couple hours. We had to leave the trailer, buy a tire, go back and put it on. My recommendation would be to NEVER EVER rent a uhaul trailer. Contract number 23185323 in case u-haul wants to reimburse us for the tire and 4 hours of wasted time.
The staff are very nice and polite, but incompetent. I wasted several hours here while they tried to put a hitch on my car, only to be told it was impossible. A simple YouTube search when I got home solved the problem.
I came across several issues of my own while trying to move and the manager Amy was very accommodating and helpful with everything. The employee Lashae was very helpful as well. Great staff and great service. Thank you guys so much for your help and making this journey easier for me.

I wont bother to share the details of my 4 hour nightmare experience with u haul roadside assistance, lets just say my employee took matters into his own hands and showed up at this location tired, angry and frustrated. The staff here recoginizaed his frustration immediately and went above and beyond to ensure he got back on the road a happy man. Quick, easy and professional. An extra shout out to Amy. I hope Uhaul recoginazes the value in your employment with them. Well done guys and gals!
This place was horrible. We had rented another truck at the Abercorn location the day before. GO THERE INSTEAD. The employee Joanna was originally nice, but when I requested a different trailer from the horribly disgusting and rusty trailer they gave me, it was a complete attitude change. I would describe it as a juvenile huffing and puffing and visibly rolling her eyes. The manager, Amy, did the SAME thing when she had to switch the trailers. Completely unprofessional. You would have thought I said something to ruin their days. The truck they gave me was also sticky, showing it hadn’t be thoroughly clean, during a pandemic of all things. The experience was so bad we canceled our two day reservation and went to a different company. The talker gentleman and other older woman were no issue to us and helpful in canceling the reservation. If you want a U-Haul, go the the Abercorn location. We had zero issues with them.
I was waiting for 45 minutes to fill a propane tank and finally they came to help me, the person who was helping me had no idea how to do it, The New manager has attitude, are you ready to wait for 1 hour or more for 1 propane tank? This is the Place. Good luck.

I have used them Everytime for moving and now for storage. Every person there has been helpful and welcoming. I had one hiccup but they resolved it. As long as you dont go in there upset and talk they will help you with no attitude. Be patience with them sometimes the workers have a rough day like you would at your job.
Im updating a review I posted earlier this year. You can see my original review below where I gave 1 star. So here we are this week, and I had to rent another Uhaul. I went back and forth on whether to drive 10-15 miles out of the way to another location, just to avoid this one (which is literally 1 mile from where I need it), so I finally decided to just suck it up and go to this location hesitantly. To my pleasant surprise the location is under new management, and you can tell the difference when you walk in the door. I wasnt greeted with eye rolls, rather positive customer service. The place was very busy, but I was still helped quickly. The new GM was there, and not only was she working very hard and treated each customer that I saw her with, with a great deal of respect and kindness, the staff members followed suit. I had completed express check-in, and the process was quick and smooth as any customer would expect. The experience was the complete opposite of my others at this location. As I said below, it starts from the top, and it is obvious the new GM is making positive changes.PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW...Horrible customer service, and it starts from the top. The GM Ken supports his employees being disrespectful to customers, and in fact, leads by example.
My initial experience was AWFUL! I reserved a unit at a Pooler location doing the self service pick up and my word lock code wouldn’t work. After calling customer service they couldn’t get in touch with the manger of the facility and ended up moving me to the Ogeechee store for a rental pickup. I was highly annoyed at the inconvenience and the fact that I was already 1 hour past my pickup time dealing with these issues. Once I got to the Ogeechee location I began to feel even more annoyed at the waiting game that was happening trying to get me situated add to the fact that I was already charged for a rental I haven’t even picked up yet. But when I tell you Ebony was the most professional, courteous, polite and experienced individual I have ever met in a retail experience. She deserves a RAISE ASAP! She was empathetic, patient and had a sense of urgency to make things right with me. After a two hour delay from when I was initially suppose to pick up my rental I was on my way with a smile on my face. The rental was clean and smelled nice and she managed to give me a inconvenience discount to account for my troubles. Returning my uhaul to the same location proved even more better when I spoke with Amber and she finalized my return and made me not regret my decision to use this company after all. Their entire staff in that office location is knowledgeable and professional and if I ever need to use them again I most definitely will (Ogeechee location only) because I know I will be treated with respect and the kind of customer service that will make me tell all my friends about them. Thank you soooo much Ebony and Amber your diligence in rectifying a horrible situation is greatly appreciated.
Arrived at 10 am for a tow package to be installed with an estimated time of two hours. FOUR hours later, I’m still waiting. They haven’t updated me on anything. I had to go ask for updates. They were nice enough but taking TWICE as long as projected?!? Yes, I had an appointment, for what that was worth. UPDATE: It’s now OVER 4 hours later and they’re sending someone to help get the job done, not because they’re concerned, but because I went to ask (once again) how much longer it will take. Guess I need to write uhaul and let them know how awful their service is. Another update...the guy doing the job FINALLY came to talk to me and said it’d be at least another hour. I simply cannot believe this. I told him someone told me it’d be 20 minutes over an hour ago. Can I say this is ridiculous? And if I could give negative stars, I would.
I have never experienced worse customer service than I did at this godforsaken establishment. A black female named Ebony was the absolute worst possible person to be in control of the entire establishment. After spending 45 minutes at her desk, she finally realized that she didnt have the vehicle I wanted to rent. I will NEVER use uhaul again in my life! This was an absolute nightmare! She needs to go back to the hood, that she referenced so often in her little speech. All I kept hearing was...we gonna get you up outta here in just a minute. Pure garbage. Go elsewhere. ASAP!
Had great service today. Service desk helped me out with my rental she had a good memory. I was also checked out before leaving yard to make sure I was hooked up properly and all lights worked.
The employees at this location are nice. However, management is unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. In my situation, the employee made a mistake that I was trying clarifying to management. Management wanted me to pay for the mistake and wasnt trying to hear what happened. Once, she found out that it WAS the employees mistake, she said, I apologize for how you took this situation. I called the 1-800 to complain. They were very helpful and will investigate further into this manager. This was an unfortunate situation.
Should be 0 stars. We were supposed to get a 10 ft truck picked up at 8:30 am. They called at 8:15 am (same day) to tell us they didn’t have one available until 6 pm. Poor management and didn’t even try to call other locations. I called and found something elsewhere. Really messed up our schedule, inconvenient to be on our way out there and didn’t even appear sorry. Will never book with this U-Haul location again.
This review isn’t for the Uhaul location itself, but for one worker in particular; Amber. We moved across states and we thought Uboxes would make the trip easier; unfortunately it was a bit of a nightmare (our order was somehow canceled and now our boxes with everything we own are arriving almost 10 days late). However, Amber gave me her personal cell phone number and texted, called, and gave me updates as we worked towards a resolution and appropriate refunds. I can’t recommend this location based on our personal experience, but I can recommend a raise for Amber 👍⭐️

Went to the U-Haul location on Montgomery and that place was a nightmare hellscape, please do not go there, Jesus Christ. Theres no space to maneuver a trailer, the convenience store is incredibly creepy, and there were swarths of homeless people. We decided to drive a couple miles further and go to this location and Im glad we did! Our representative, Michael, was incredibly helpful, patient, and had sone very good advice. This location is awesome and highly recommended.
I waited over 30 min just to buy a couple mattress covers and both registers were helping 1 person because they were trying to figure out how to get their downed system to take an offline contract instead of one ringing up customers and the other getting help through their help desk.
‼️‼️ Please DO NOT ever use uhaul!!Unless you like for your account to be charged serveral times and for 4 times the amount you were supposed to be charged!After SEVERAL phones calls back and forth we were finally told we would be getting a $58.00 refund. Not great, but it was better than nothing and I definitely wasn’t complaining. I check my bank this morning and not only have the refund not gone through but they have charged us even more on top of everything. I have never been so furious with a company in my entire life.Thank you uhaul for wrongfully overdrafting my account right before Christmas
Brought my car here for a hitch install. Purchased the hitch online and I was given a 7:00 AM appointment time via email and text message. When I showed up, I was told that my appointment was 8:30. The owner didnt seem to care that there was a mix up on that.Dropped the car off at 8:30 and it took them over 3 hours to install the hitch, which should have been a 1 hour job. After taking the car back home and inspecting the work, I found that one of the heat shields above my muffler is missing and the other heat shield was badly cut and not completely put back on.
Ive moved a good bit in my life and Ive always used UHaul. Ive had some bad experiences and Ive had some good ones. This one was one of the best Ive had. The staff was very professional and concerned about my needs. Worked to make sure I was completely satisfied. Dont trust every UHaul you see online or in the phone book. Some are auto shops or roadside vendors who arent really UHaul centers. they will scam you. ALWAYS use a certified service center like this one.

This was the worst experience ever in moving. The manager very unprofessional. Has a very nochalant attitude, tells you he they wont help you move your stuff all while chewing on a grip tie and showing his crack. Theyre units leak water and mangement just says I can cork it and give u plastic to out over your things. Then once corporate is called I was then offered another unit with one free month rental. I paid a moving company to put my stuff in there only to have to pay to use one of their pickup truck to move my stuff to another storage unit on their property. After arguing with management he says its irrevalvent and it doesnt matter cause my name iant on the contract. However its my stuff and my money that is paying. To put the icing on the cake they wanted to charge me $150.00 to put stuff in the trash..I would not give this company 1star but you have to rate something...never will I rent here again. Defitinetly take your business elsewhere. I wish I could post the pictures so that people will know what they are dealing with when they come to this location.

Poor customer service even from managers. There is no organization you deal with to many people to get one rental. I suggest budget next time.
ATTROCIOUS customer service. Went to pick up the truck I reserved A MONTH in advance and it wasnt there, even though I had a valid reservation and got an automated email 24 hours prior, both telling me no further confirmation was needed. When I asked why it wasnt there even though it was guaranteed, she immediately became nasty and condescending, and told me it was because they ...called several times over the last couple days to make sure you still wanted it... and when they couldnt get a hold of me (no message was left, and I didnt recognize the number), they assumed I didnt still need the truck so they canceled my reservation and gave it to someone else- it was my fault for not picking up my phone. I ended up having to drive 2.5 hours into SC to get a different truck because it was the end of the month and nothing was available in the Savannah area- something I anticipated when I decided to make the reservation a full month ahead of time.
Keep an eye on your bank account. These guys tried to charge me twice, and to charge me for 3 days that I didnt even have the rental. Had to call and get them to reverse the charge, but it caused me to incur an overdraft fee.

Do not go to this location. I had an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed and recieved my confirmation text. The appointment that was scheduled for me by the staff was an hour before they opened. The only reason I didnt show up an hour before I was suppose to is because I called and confirmed the day prior.I showed up at my appointment time which was when they opened at 09:00 AM. I was told I dont know why you were scheduled for that time. Let me help these people first and then we will get to it (This was the manager) After waiting for 40minutes and seeing THE MANAGER help customer after customer I asked for a refund and left.Horrible service, management and poorly run
The staff did not have any of my boxes that i purchased on file for a receipt and tried to keep my money for the unused boxes that i returned. Poor poor service
