What an awesome little gem!In the middle of a busy, crazy life, entering this beautiful little shop is like stepping into another dimension. It slows you down, almost to make you consider the important things in life, to make you take a break from rushing and to just relax and enjoy being. I took my family here and I am so glad that we took the extra time to search, instead of settling for some overrated chain where pretentious people act all self important, forgetting that their most important job is to serve the customer. Props to the employees of this place for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Great coffee and great beagles!

Great coffees, especially the almond milk lattes. Haven’t tried the food yet but will do so in the future. So happy they’re nearby!

This place is amazing! Friendly staff. They Roast the coffee beans at the location. Coffee beans are ethically sourced. Great selection of pastries and made to order hot breakfast items. Great Autumn Salad. Amazing in house made dressing.

The BEST COFFEE youll taste. Fact: Starbucks didnt know they were burning their coffee until they purchased Seattles Best. At the Village Roastery, I can drink a Latte WITHOUT sugar and it is sweet. This is possible because of their roasting process down to a science ...literally. They are not open late due to the area. I wish they had another branch in Tempe or Phoenix ...worth the 32min. drive though.

My bagel lox was delicious! I bought a lb of one of the last coffee types that Johnny drank. C U soon.

Relaxed vibe, comfortable seats, and nice employees. I had the Red eye, drip coffee with a shot of espresso. It tasted great and was strong. Also had a bagel with cream cheese, lettuce and tomato. Overall a great experience to spend some time reading or studying. My only criticism is the cost of breakfast burritos, $9 is a little steep. I grew up in a latin house so anything over 5 bucks is expensive. Would come back again!

Cool place with great drinks, but food ran out fast. We had a mid morning work meeting and had heard about the art on the wall and cool stuff to look at. But when we got there on this raining morning, the display case was empty. I was hoping for some pastry or cookies or something... anything really. Gotta say I was disappointed and left hungry.

People knew your name when you walked in. Coffee was delicious, breakfast foods were delicious and fresh. Butter Coffee is a must try. Great prices and service.

This is my go to spot for single source coffee. They roast there own beans so there is no fresher. The tasting notes are identified for the choices although theyre on the label of the storage drawer behind the counter and too far for me to read. The staff is very helpful, of course, I just hate taking their time at the counter to tell me what I could read if the information were available. Also the country of origin is not listed either and again the staff will tell me when I ask. Perhaps Im spoiled by Common Grounds alas there is no outlet in Phoenix. Also available is a very nice menu of simple and tasty breakfast and lunch items.

First time going to this little shop was overall amazing. Its very cozy, the smell of fresh house roasted coffee and baked goods is everywhere. The staff was great and seemed very happy to be doing what they are doing there. The coffee tastes wonderful! Very rich and flavorful. And very strong with the caffeine content as well! Which is a plus. I may have found a new favorite coffee shop in Scottsdale.

Village has the best coffee in Scottsdale! All these reviews about their employees not wearing mask are ridiculous! The county mandate has both medical and religious exemptions and no one has to tell anyone why they have an exemption! Glad to see a place e that honors those for their employees and patrons!

I love the burritos here. The coffee is decent. I’ve met the owner she cool and the staff is cool too. I’m a mask wearing person but I also don’t really care if someone doesn’t want to wear a mask. To each their own decisions in life. So on that note, make you’re own decisions. The place has always been a good place to get coffee and food. I trust them mask or no mask it’s a good place.

This is a solid coffee shop. They have everything you would expect on their menu. The latte was as one would hope, thick and frothy with a fresh smoky espresso flavor. My only reason for giving it 4 stars was the atmosphere. Personally I don’t like a loud coffee shop with classic rock playing and cheesy car decorations. I want it to be quite and inviting. But, that’s just my opinion.

I stopped coming here a couple of years ago because I thought the coffee wasnt good. Decided to give it another try and it was just as I remembered. A watery, flavorless cold brew and a burnt drip. If youre looking for good specialty coffee, this is not the place.

Oat milk capp. The milk was not textured at all. Just giant bubbles and diluted to a latte. Kind of a boring flavor profile. Almond milk capp. Same poor texturing of the “milk” which is tougher to do but still doable. The 2% capp a bit better but still boring flavor. Scrambled eggs had a powdered texture to them. Probably not.. but if they werent.. there was too much oil.There is another coffee shop we all went to in the same plaza that had much better coffee and a roaster in the room.

This place must be the local anti-mask haven. Baristas were not wearing masks. Inside of this place was packed and most patrons weren’t wearing masks. Felt like I was in an alternate universe where COVID doesn’t exist.The coffee was pretty good, but I won’t be returning. I can get a good coffee elsewhere without a side of COVID.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles. The service was top notch and our coffee was fantastic. Our Americanos really were some of the best ever. Lots of love from Michigan! My friends said I dont know if Ive ever had an americano this good!

Was a big fan of Village Coffee. I would drive over there every day and order espresso and food. Tipped well. Went today for the first time since COVID and both people working there were not wearing masks although all the customers were. I will never go to Village Coffee again. Too bad that they dont care about all of their customers any more.

You know this place is great that even when you move out of the neighborhood… You still come every day! Lisa has been running this great coffee shop for years and continues to go above and beyond… Even when I work early in the morning I still have to stop by…Kurt has been doing a great job behind the counter for years and they really have a large group of loyal followers!

Ive made it a point to try all the coffee shops I can find in Scottsdale. Ironically, this was the first one I went to, and ended up being the best. Youll find better decor & ambience at Press, kombucha at Renegade and Press, beer at Sip, mini donuts at Crave Grounds, and a warm and earthly feel at Lakeview, but if you want the best coffee roasted on site twice a week, go to Village. Theyve got perfect lattes, keto and bulletproof coffee, a solid food menu, and beans available by the pound. And if you walk in on a roasting day...man. The smell is amazing.

When I make the decision to travel to a coffee shop, I do so because I do not own my own gooseneck kettle for making my own pour-over. Its a treat for me to have a professional barista make a delicious pour-over for me, and I have always enjoyed that experience. Last week I went to Village Coffee Roastery and, after asking for a pour-over, was told, No, Im not doing those right now. I looked around the shop and saw no other customers. I knew it was on their menu because this was my second time in the coffee shop and the first time a different barista was happy to do so (it was OK). This was a wholly negative experience for me and I left wondering how Village Coffee Roastery can employ baristas that are either 1) Untrained in how to use a v60 or Chemex or 2) too lazy or not in the mood to make one for a paying customer. I will not be returning - with so many other great local coffee shops nearby, I see no reason to give them another shot. Lakeview Coffee is in the same complex and has at least one barista who has attended the world barista championships and cares about the customer coffee experience. And Maverick Coffee is just a few blocks north, also highly recommended.

Decent little place, hours arent normal still but I would go back.

This is a wonderful local coffee shop! The coffee is delicious and absolutely hits the spot. Before you even get your pick me up, you can get energized from the friendly staff. Happy to help with an questions, these baristas are top notch.Bring a laptop and get some work done, feel inspired to write by your surroundings, or brink a book to immerse yourself in on the outside patio. I will be coming back time and time again.

Village is a delightful coffee house with a cozy interior, friendly, down-to-earth Baristas, and the best coffee Ive had in the Valley (and its roasted in-house). I can get beans from SE Asia, Africa, Latin America, and South America, and the flavors are always rich and delicious...not like the bland, stale Pikes Place you get from Starbucks.The food offerings are also tasty. I had a hot tuna melt on toasted wheat bread, and the tuna mingled with mango and pistachio slices-a unique combo.Bottom line: Village has excellent coffee, tasty treats, and cool people in a cool location.

Top 5 coffee shop in the valley! Service is always on point. The food menu is good with consistent quality. But above all, the coffee is absolutely excellent. They roast a variety of beans weekly. Every step in the process is scientifically monitored. Im a coffee snob and I buy whole bean roasted coffee here. The coffee I enjoy at home is great as a result. But even I cannot replicate the end result experienced here. They take it to a whole other level

This is my favorite coffee spot in Arizona. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. I used to live within walking distance (so I was spoiled) but since I have moved, its worth the 20 minute drive for coffee. The weekend mornings we have the time, we get to doggo ready, grab coffee, and take a walk around the lake.

We wanted to love this place. The location and service was great. The man outside serenading patrons with his folksy melodies additionally added to the ambiance. We ordered the village breakfast and lox bagel no onions. We were brought our order, the toast was burned black. Not just crispy but black. It is maddening how the cook and server thought the toast was passable. We did not ask for toast to be well done. We sent toast back. The bagel served with red onions on and in the bagel. Disappointing. The new order of toast came to our table and was just as black and burnt as the first order. The eggs look and tastes like powdered eggs. The coffee was excellent, and the friendliness of staff was top notch. The inside was nicely lit, rich brown tones and comfortable chairs to sit on, the baked goods nicely displayed in glass case. During our breakfast we assumed the owner(s) probably weren’t on site as the burned toast TWICE was over the top. We took a picture of the second order of toast. There’s so many other establishments to frequent that checks all the boxes. If we had to choose between mediocre to poor food over great customer service we would prefer good service, but why should we only get one? Why not both.

We first came to this place because a neighboring restaurant had a very long wait. Village Coffee Roastery was a pleasant surprise with delicious breakfast, good coffee, quick and friendly service, and competitive prices. My Family has been back several times now and its always been a good experience.
