Understaffed pharmacy, long wait, but its not the stores fault CVS doesnt hire enough employees. Worse part is all the Karens that go here.
I will never return to this CVS or any other location. They closed the pharmacy for days and there was no one answering the phone. As a provider, I could not get through- I was on hold for over an hour each time. The general store manager stated that they do not enough staff. They promise to fill something and then after waiting in line for 40 minutes- script wasn’t filled! I cannot believe CVS functions like this! It can be very dangerous and life threatening if patients aren’t able to get the medications they need! Hate to say it, I am moving all my family’s prescriptions out of there.
Avoid at all costs! Totally understaffed. Line took over 45 minutes to pick up prescription. People working have no sense of urgency even though there is a line of 7 people. Terrible customer service. Could not reach them on the phone either and while waiting in line you see the pharmacist ignoring the calls.
The pharmacy can never keep their employees. Always just one person working so they never pick up the phones and the drive thru is also never open. Never have my prescription even though I requested for refill a week ago. Definitely look for a different pharmacy.
Last time we showed up to the drive through window and it was closed even though it was open. There was 1 overwhelmed employee working there having to do everything. This week it is closed during business hours and the pharmacist was a no show. I do not recommend this pharmacy.
I was told by someone who has worked at this pharmacy that there is a toxic work culture/environment at this location as well as other local CVS pharmacies. This has caught-up to CVS and a bunch of people have quit their jobs. The recent multi-day closing of the pharmacy during its normal hours of operation caused a huge problem for my wife and I and it was so bad that I couldnt even get someone on the phone to help me transfer medications to another pharmacy. I ended up feeling ill, in pain and unable to sleep because of missing two days of multiple medications that I must take daily to function. Prior to the exodus of employees in the pharmacy, I had problems with being shorted pills (twice), prescriptions being put on hold inexplicably after being called in by my prescriber, and several interactions with pharmacy staff being terse and downright unfriendly. Im switching to the McCormick Ranch Walgreens now, Ive had it with this CVS!
This is by far the worst pharmacy Ive ever dealt with. Staff goes out of their way to be as rude as possible without crossing the line. They dont fill prescriptions, they make you come back the next day and always seem to be busy even when your the only person at the pharmacy
Rudest cashier I have ever come in contact with! She should be fired!
Spent an hour and 10 minutes on hold with this pharmacy trying to get a live person to transfer some prescriptions of mine to another CVS where I live in the summertime. Absolute insanity
Avoid this cvs for prescriptions... They seem to aleats be short staffed.. They close when they are supposed to be open... And they never answer their phone. Horrible service.
I’ve been going to this CVS for years. It’s had a very difficult time keeping up with the volume of business. There is never enough staff, wait times are long, stick outs have happened to me. Then today my son went for his previously scheduled COVID vaccine appointment and they turned him away because of staffing. He has had an appointment for a week and it was in the afternoon so they had time to call, reschedule - but they didn’t.
Google hours state the store closes at 11 p.m. Arrived at 10:15 and doors were locked. Fix the hours on google
The reviews already posted are accurate in my opinion, so I will not repeat them. There is no universal use of gloves when handling drugs. Vaccinations are given out in the aisle rather than in a private room which is probably some type of privacy violation. If you are forced to use this pharmacy because of insurance then I would suggest using the drive through and getting your vaccinations elsewhere.
Lady pharmacist yells at people for basic requests & doesn’t do her basic job. Why else are people really at a pharmacy?Go anywhere else. There is a great Walgreens up the street.
The pharmacy staff is completely overwhelmed and unable to cope with standard customer service duties including answering phone calls, dealing with drive-through customers, updating prescription status for pending orders, and working with in-store customers. I was there today for the first time. It was around 11 AM. There appeared to be one pharmacist and two pharmacy techs.I started with a request to my regular CVS pharmacy location (in MN) for a single prescription to be filled here in Scottsdale. After that, there were no updates for over a week on the CVS app. Then, I tried calling. No answer after 20+ minutes on hold. Then, I tried the drive up. Not a single car advanced after 15 min. Then, I went inside. The customer service at the counter wasnt great, but at least I was able to get my prescription after about 15 min.Again, Im not complaining about the staff. This is a failure at a higher level in the CVS organization. If you are going to take on all of the additional business, you have to increase your staffing to maintain a reasonable degree of customer service.
Staff was incredibly rude. You could tell they get a sadistic kick out of mocking patrons. Absolutely horrid experience everytime. And even if the staff doesnt belittle you there is the issue of insane lines and extremely slow service.
Call in using the physician line, otherwise they will never answer the phone.
Can’t get ahold of the pharmacy after an hour on hold. No one answers. Would not recommend this cvs!!!!
Yes, it’s true that they are very rude (not the black gentleman but everyone else), but they are also incompetent.
Had To go back three times. Snooty service people. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.
I have never seen such a absolute disaster at a pharmacy. The pharmacist is not experienced at all in effective running of a business. But worst than that lacks the skills to interact with the patients & manage time.I sat there for one hour waiting for a prescription & watched the other patients stand in line & be treated very unkind. I switched to Walgreens across the street which has been a great move. This pharmacist & pharmacy should beCompletely analyzed & whoever is in charge should find a team that can do the job. This place is disgraceful & rude. They never got it right & based on who is running it never will.
This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my entire life, I went there three times and had to wait over 40 minutes first Time and 60 minutes second time and 55 minutes the third time and they still didn’t fill my prescription that my, Mom’s doctor called and ordered for my mom that’s a heart patient three days prior.
This CVS has sustained, ‘zero’ service performance for several years! When is their corporate quality assurance team going to do something about this under performing team. Hygiene and Service, it’s unprofessional and needs investigating.’
Drive thru service is the slowest in the Valley.Sometimes over TEN minutes
Waiting two hours to get a prescription is outrageous Especially when it’s just a refill that was called in three days before
This place is always terrible. from the woman who claimed to be the manage on duty to the pharmacists. The store should be closed. The staff should be trained and taught what they are in the store for, and what moral is.
If you need a Mountain Dew or Sour Patch kids, by all means stop by, but if you need anything from the pharmacy than you’re better off raiding your grandmas medicine cabinet. Staff couldn’t care less about helping and I promise anyone you deal with there will be annoyed with you, every single one.
Edit: switched to their delivery system with CVS Caremark, it still is riddled with problems. I’m guessing the issue is that this location keeps fulfilling my Rx so my automatic delivery is inconsistent. Worst part is that now I have to call this physical location to sort things out.How long should I expect to be on hold before speaking to a real person, being offered a callback or being told what number I am in line? I don’t know what the expectation should be but I can tell you that it is over 20 minutes here. I genuinely don’t need to know the answer because I hung up after a point. I just hope someone that can change something knows what issues the store faces, clearly more people need to be staffed.——If you want a timely pick up, go elsewhere. Like everyone has already stated, the drive thru is an abhorrently long wait. What’s more is how long it takes for them to fulfill a prescription. They say it will be ready 24 hours after they receive the prescription, realistically you should wait 24 hours and then call in advance, my experience is that it can take much more time than 24 hours. Currently I am picking up my prescription 4 days late, I called at 9:00 to say I was on my way and they told me it would be ready at 12:30. So I guess quoted 24 hours = 4 days + 3 1/2 hours real time.Don’t even try to get your prescriptions picked up all in one day, that’s how I got into this predicament. I ‘forfeited’ half my dose (pay full amount for less than full fulfillment), when I arrived to pick up the day supply count was much smaller (though I am paying a flat rate), our conversation about insurance covering a prescription once a month was forgotten. They decided for me that I could pick up all my prescriptions sooner despite our agreement that the beginning of next month was better. The real kicker? If you are in my predicament this pharmacy doesn’t accept GoodRx on select few prescriptions (which happens to be mine, discrimination?). I’m told this isn’t even a blanket rule for all locations, just ones in this district... just go somewhere else. I’m going to Walgreens, don’t be fooled by the shorter business hours, a lot would have to go wrong for Walgreens wait time to be as slow as this location of CVS.
Very slow service. Like waiting 20 mins when it my turn to pick up a prescription slow
I wish there were a way to give a negative 5 star for this location. Never have I experienced such rudeness, laziness, health violations and overall incompetence in one place before.I went to pick up several prescriptions today that I was notified of being ready by CVS and upon arrival was promptly handed one prescription and told bye bye! When I called the woman out on this (Karen) she tried to get the young girl, who was busy doing nothing the entire time I was there, to help her find my prescriptions. After a very brief and farce effort I was told that they were working on one and that my doctor had not responded to the others. I know for a fact they have responded and this place just wont fill the scripts. The attitudes and overall demeanor were the poorest ever witnessed. Please please please stay away from this location, there is nothing good that can come from a visit here.
Pharmacist went well above what I expected. Very helpful.
My experience with this CVS Pharmacy has been disappointing. The main problem seems to be inadequate staffing. I have been on hold for over 20 minutes as I write this review. Their drive through window service can also be frustrating. I gave up waiting at the window last month and resorted to going inside to the pharmacy counter at the back of the store where they acted like so what.
15 minutes on hold with no answer. Called to speak with the store manager, immediately put on hold and not answered. Incorrect texts about prescriptions. This particular store continues to disappoint.
This CVS is great! The employees were all friendly, professional, and competent. I highly recommend.
This is my second terrible experience with this pharmacy. Evening shift supervisor was helping out in the pharmacy. My physician sent in a prescription earlier in the day and I received a text that it was ready. When I explained this to the shift supervisor at the pharmacy window, she shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes then said were short staffed so it might be ready tomorrow mid day sometime. She didnt even bother to check with the pharmacist. I went home and within 30 minutes I received another text that the prescription was ready, I tried to call the pharmacy but couldnt get through?? I drove back to the pharmacy. The same person (shift sup) was at the pharmacy window, when I told her that I received another text she rudely said yeah, well its ready now she turned around and said good god. I would not recommend using this pharmacy. There are other nearby CVS pharmacies that offer exceptional service without belittling their patrons, I plan to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy immediately.
I generally don’t like leaving negative reviews and wasn’t going to, but felt it was important to share, just with the thought that this behavior could go on & I don’t want any other customers of the Cvs pharmacy treated in the same way.I went to return a script that was sent to me via mail which was the *wrong prescription*. When I did, I also brought along a script that was sent to me that was for *someone else*.When I first got there, I was 4th in line. After a few minutes with no interaction from the 3 people behind the pharmacy counter a gentleman in line asked if they can please help us. A lady just came out of a room and said she was on the phone but will help when she’s done and he was very thankful for that level of communication. Because it was taking awhile I went and did a return and then got back in line. When I did I was first and then quickly 4-5 people were in line behind me. A young woman with long green nails helped me and I explained my situation and gave her the scripts. She went back and I heard her saying (also saying loudly for everyone to hear) the name of my prescription (against HIPAA!) and she even tried mimicking my voice saying how I said that the prescription was wrong. Which I genuinely just let her know but I have a soft voice so she tried doing a high pitched voice and said “I didn’t get my prescription” just like my voice. But it’s true, I didn’t. I got a different prescription. She also mentioned to her coworker that “she waited 2 months to return the other prescription” (referring to me). but honestly because of covid I haven’t wanted to run errands or do things so this was discouraging to be called out for returning a script 2 months later. But she even said out loud that another script was sent to him so that was good to know and I didn’t feel bad for returning it late bc I assumed that they’d send him another one. He must have had the wrong address on file. For them to openly converse in front of me and customers was odd and uncomfortable. They also discussed my script loudly as well but I figured she was maybe in training but I feel like best practices would not be to discuss those things so loudly in front of customers. Also her trying to do my voice was just hurtful. I genuinely just wanted my correct prescription and to do the right thing in returning the other. It was also odd that they didn’t say “we will be right with you” or had any level of customer service qualities to help customers feel better about waiting in long lines. Just wanted to mention this so customer service can be corrected in the pharmacy :)I will not be returning to CVS ever again.Thank you!
The staff is v friendly but its always chaos in here, never enough staff. Can walk from my house but likely change to walgreens or other.
Always slow, rude lead pharmacist
I needed a prescription quickly. The hospital pharmacy didn’t have the medication and my Walgreens said they were too busy to get the prescriptions transferred. Megan called the hospital pharmacy right away and kept calling until she got them to transfer it, and then filled the prescription as soon as she got it. I am going to start filling all of my prescriptions here instead of across the street!
The pharmacy techs, especially the women which I hate to say as I am a woman, are sooo incredibly rude and unhelpful beyond. I will say some of the pharmacy employees are easy to work with and helpful, but 8 out of 10 times they are a nightmare dealing with them.If you do actually get someone on the phone they could not be bothered by you, which I wish I could do everything from the website/app. The problem is though it is almost as terrible of the techs...at least it doesn’t talk back to you rudely though!Be prepared to wait hours, even days to refill a monthly recurring prescription(s). Nothing is ever in stock when you need it, and when it is in stock I swear it takes them like 5 to 8 hours to get it ready!Makes me want to run back to Walgreens with open arms and never think of using CVS ever again. I could care less about the cost savings CVS can save me at this point because it’s not worth the headache and lost hours just trying to get a refill!!!
This is by far the worst CVS I have ever been to. Nobody cares! Rude, strange cashiers. They are annoyed that they have to wear masks. Unhappy rude, nasty workers. Long lines and sales prices do not work most the time. Shelves are not restocked. Something is really wrong with this place.
Friendly staff. Clean store.
Visiting from another state & forgot to bring one of my husbands prescriptions. The pharmacists were extremely helpful & accommodating in contacting the physician & filling the prescription. Thank you!!
Cant get through to pharmacy on the phone. Unbelievable.
This is the worst pharmacy I have had to deal with in the last year. They very rarely give you the right information on when your meds will be ready. They are suppose to text when meds are ready and rarely do. They tell you that your meds will be ready at a certain time and when you get there they are not ready!!So they ask you to come back in an hour. Who has time to run back and forth to the pharmacy. Walgreens down the road has a much better staff and are more efficient. Worst CVS pharmacy and customer service at this location that I have ever had to deal with!! I would give them zero stars if I could.
Horrible experience with the pharmacy! Nancy needs to be fired! Anyone that thinks it’s ok to scream at a customer needs to be terminated and shame on the pharmacist for not getting involved! Everyone go to a different pharmacy. They won’t take care of you here
Doesn’t honor GoodRx coupon. Long waiting times
Came in to pick up some gum today, but didnt expect to meet such a bubbly and genuine person ringing me up. Luanne and I shared a good laugh through a process normally filled with nothing but a dull exhange between strangers. Luanne might be my new best friend after today. Great meeting you!
Judy was a pleasure to work with. I called in a script 30 min before close, she was understaffed and had multiple orders due at the same time. She performed a miracle and it was ready when I ARRIVED just 15 min after calling.Judy was a blessing .
I had a negative experience with the pharmacist at this location. I came in seeking counsel regarding side effects for a steroid drug I had began taking (and have taken several times before). I asked if there was anything to be done to help ease several of the side effects I was dealing with, and the pharmacist was rude and dismissive. She raised her eyebrows at me and told me that I wasnt on a high enough dose or long enough course of medication to experience the side effects I was reporting. Not only was the pharmacist of no help, but she made me feel worse by gaslighting me and invalidating my experience as a patient taking a very serious drug. Wouldnt recommend this location to anyone who has questions about their medication.
My one stop shop on my way to work for a quick energy drink. Only downfall is them making you use the security chip thing. Wish they could do away with it
Well organized store and wery nice cashiers.
At Scottsdale & McDonald Rds yesterday and one clerk was helping a difficult order. Luanne, the second clerk who helped me (and everyone else) was working two registers at once! As a customer waited for the CC transaction, she would bag and thank the previous customer. Give that lady a raise.
Currently at over 30 min on hold trying to speak to someone at the pharmacy. Wish I had my old insurance so I didnt have to deal with this CVS
Nice and quick
Convenient
