Funny story, we arrived in Phoenix on a Monday and immediately stopped here because of the James Beard mention. We purchased 5 items including cookies and cakes, spent $50. I tried this aloe vera cake which was fine but not exceptional, plus the peanut butter cookie was grainy (apparently the pb is homemade which made it more confusing since homemade should taste better????), the bag of carmel corn was stale and over priced. So I gave the place three stars and decided wed go back another day and earlier, since the staff member said they run out of cookies early, plus our initial experience was subpar and they have the James Beard thing going on and we wanted to explore that. Went back today, Thursday, and the staff member questioned my rating (and not too kindly), of course being put on the spot we initially said everything was great because how uncomfortable is it to be questioned about your reasons but when he pressed harder, we explained about the peanut butter. Please see below where the owner questions my review because I didnt 5* his shop, plus he insinuated that my intent is to hurt small businesses. I digress, the point of sharing personal reviews is to voice your individual experience not being bullied into the sellers point of view or lifting the star rating. Super disappointed, guess Ill have to find a Cookie Crumbl when Im in town. Updated my rating and based it on my overall sense of the place.

Delicious!! My sister and I stopped in just for cookies before leaving Scottsdale. We went for the more gooey cookie options and were not disappointed!! We shared a blondie and a chocolate pecan stuffed with homemade marshmallow & chocolate sauce. Both very satisfying and perfectly gooey. Super friendly & nice service.

Very friendly service. I had the Cubano and it was incredible. The salmon breakfast bagel was the same.

Amazing cookies! We got 3 cookies -- Vegan Chocolate Chip (pictured), the Mesquite Cookie, and the Macadamia Nut Cookie! Truthfully, the Mesquite was our least favorite cookie just because it wasnt as soft/gooey as the other cookies. The cakes looked beautiful, and the customer service was fast and friendly.

Just had a chocolate cake from here. Totally worth it. That it was made with quality ingredients was evident in every bite.Will be coming back eventually to try the bagels.

I recommend trying ⭐️ they’re peanut butter cookie!!!Pros: lots of cute gourmet sweets, decent prices, very visually appealing.Cons: along with the cookie, we got the small sprinkle cake and it was nothing special as far as the taste went. It also had a lot of frosting that we had to throw away and overall it wasn’t worth traveling to go get this cake. The good thing is they have many more dessert options to choose from!

The mesquite chocolate chip cookie was really dry, but it was really interesting to try & its famous. The signature brownie was so gooey and delicious. The cowpuncher had a jalapeno in the middle which scared me at first, but it wasnt really spicy- instead I just felt a little bit of spice in the back of my throat. It seems like they sell out quickly, so I would suggest going earlier. They have other food & ice-cream as well but I think the highlight is definitdly the unique cookie flavors

We ordered a chocolate Arizona Sunset cake for a friend’s bachelorette. The cake was GORGEOUS! But beyond that, it was hands down the BEST CAKE, I or my friends had ever eaten! Not too sweet, not too rich, just the right blend of flavors!

Surprised my dad for his birthday! Super chunk was so accommodating and communicative. Cake is BEAUTIFUL!

Had the mesquite chocolate chip cookie and carrot cake. They were both fine. I appreciate the high quality ingredients. The cookie texture is extremely unorthodox and neither desserts were exceptionally sweet. At first I wasn’t sure if it was gluten, dairy, egg, and/or sugar free etc. Wasn’t quite what I was looking for.

Im really into visiting bakeries when I travel to new places, and was excited to try this one based on the reviews. My wife and I purchased 3 different cookies and a 3 blackout cake. Service was wonderful, and they held the cake for us until the afternoon.Unfortunately the cookies were a huge disappointment. My wife and I both agreed that the chocolate chip cookie was extremely sugary in texture, and the oatmeal rye was very oily, with little flavor. The macadamia nut cookie had great flavor, but was also very oily. I make a lot of my own cookies using Americas Test Kitchen recipes, and those typically are much more flavorful, with much better balanced textures.My wife enjoyed the blackout cake, which I though had a flavor that was a little too subtle.I would not return. Certainly not worth the higher than average prices.

The stores name is Avis Super Chunk Sweets. Owners who is a teenager who completely shares his profits with non profits. This boy is awesome things cannot get better that this.

Id give this place 11 stars if I could. I go here almost every day for something different (usually the almond meringue because Im addicted), but everything they make is incredible. They put so much thought into their ingredients and environment, which makes it a truly special place. Sergio and Country are always welcoming and friendly. Their BLT is crazy good and their bagels are the most reliable thing in my life right now. 11/5

Extremely good snacks and treats. Price is good considering the area. I could go on and on about the staff though. They are, in a word, phenomenal. Very helpful and incredibly nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a sweet tooth and needs a treat.

Wow, what a cool place! The attention to detail on everything is amazing, resulting in innovative great tasting food and ambience. Best bagels, period. And you wont find desserts like theirs anywhere else. My new favorite!

Nice little eatery

Delicious hand rolled bagel and cream cheese mixed with welcoming service. Coffee was fairly good, if you like a stronger taste, make sure you get an extra shot, but I would highly recommend this place! I’m excited to try the deserts that the helpful staff guided me to try out; thanks for making my Scottsdale trip a more delicious one:)

Fresh made blondie with a scoop of house-made multi-chip ice cream. Oh my ... I’m going to have dreams about this for years. Small place, bakery and eatery. Not sure what’s on the menu but learing at the plate of the diner next to us made us wish we had room for more. Nice place.

Great bakery! Bagels are made with care. Lots of interesting cakes and cookies. Amazing espresso and coffee. A great place to go for breakfast and not have the long wait time that plague all the Scottsdale road spots. Excellent good and relaxing atmosphere

I bought the Duck Fat toffee with white chocolate and almonds. It is expensive at $10 but if the taste is unique like the name then it is all worth it. The flavor is like any other toffee bar out there and all you get is a sweet toffee taste. The white chocolate is far too thin of a layer to taste along with the thin layer of almonds. This product did not live up to anything special. The flavor was fine but not worth the inflated price.

The chicken pot pie is fabulous! And the staff is over the top friendly! You won’t be disappointed!

Great place for excellent lunches at reasonable prices. Fun to pick up treats for gifts. Owners assure high quality in every aspect of this place that’s a favorite for coworkers and family members.

This place has a great atmosphere to match the great food. The bagels are to die for and the coffee is very mild and tasty but not watery if that makes sense. The desserts are all out of this world as well.

My husband sent me and the kids on a dessert run because he read that Super Chunk has an amazing Tres Leches Cake. We drove down from North Scottsdale and it was definitely worth the drive. The Tres Leches Cake was awesome. It has a really good caramel flavor and was topped with crunchy honeycomb. We also had the Carrot Cake and it was very light with just a hint of citrus in the icing. Super Chunk has a warm and inviting atmosphere. We stayed for lunch and the kids loved the grilled cheese sandwich. I had the veggie sandwich and the bread was fantastic with just the right amount of crunch. We met the owner, Sergio and he was so nice and friendly. We love to support local businesses and will definitely be back!

Delicious desserts and, thankfully, the original Stetson Chopped Salad is on the menu. Best BLT. Cute decor and friendly service. Without the music blaring as loudly both inside and on the patio, it would have been a five star experience.

We stopped by this cute shop on a Saturday afternoon and had these incredible peanut butter and chocolate reese cups. They were amazing and since we ate them in the shop, we met the owner and his wife who is a pastry chef at a nearby restaurant. The owner said he makes his own peanut butter and only uses high grade chocolate. The atmosphere and the owners are charming and it felt good to support a local, home grown business. We also bought Chocolate Bacon Caramel Corn to take home which is awesome too. Great prices, excellent service and quality plus locally owned. It doesnt get better then that.

Amazing treats and nice atmosphere. The girls working were nice and helpful and friendly. I got a Halloween to die for pastry and my husband got the carrot cake. Both were scrumptious.

Excellent little bakery located in Old Town Scottsdale. We had the Peanut Butter Pie and John & Yoko desserts. They both were great but the PB Pie was to die for! Cant wait to try more.

I love this place! Never been before, so I checked it out and tried the tuna salad sando. Its pretty amazing. They get their Tuna from Chula Seafood in Scottsdale.

The stuff they sell here is good but the people who own it are so unfriendly it ruins the experience. They never smile, they dont greet people, they argue with you about things, and just arent nice. Part of running a business is making your customers feel welcome and wanted. You people dont do that.

The owners are great and took our special order with no problem. And the honey semi freddo ice cream was amazing, cuz there is no way we could just order a cake and not find something to eat while we were there!

We came for the mesquite cookie, but the peanut butter cookie stole our hearts. We will return to this cookie shop every time we visit Scottsdale. Highly recommended.
