Wow this was awesome!! Was a great treat and the way they heat up the cookie and the ice cream is still hard was fantastic. Good thing I do live close or I would be coming all the time!

Very cute place! Ive only been here the one time but I definitely want to come back and try more. I like the creative concept of an ice cream shop that does custom ice cream sandwiches. They have a lot to choose, from different types of cookies to ice creams and a lot of different fun topping. Im sure it would take forever to have them all. I got an ice cream sandwich with funfetti cookies caramel vanilla ice cream and sprinkles and it was super good! It is very sweet through but I like really sweet things. I cant wait to try it again.

First time in Tempe and had to check this place out.Unfortunately they were out of bowls (gasp!) but my funfetti cookie with cake batter ice cream sandwich was so damn good!! Im happy they put out free water for customers because ice cream and water go together like cookies and cream.Ill definitely be back when I return to town.

The Baked Bear is definitely superior to Churn IMO. My ice cream sandwich was not messy to eat, the cookie and brownie were soft and delicious and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be back!

What a place! I thought Id had good dessert before, but wow, the Baked Bear was phenomenal. Theres something for everyone. I had a fabulous ice cream cone with a scoop of Brownie Dough and a scoop of Dark Chocolate. Family tried both Cookie and Brownie Sandwiches. Highly recommend the Bear Batter Ice Cream - dont let the blue color deter you, its delicious. One of us also tried the Smores bowl which had a warm Graham Cracker, Chocolate and Marshmallow on the bottom. Many great options and a lot of bang for your buck - very good prices. Just wish one of these would open up on the East Coast!

Personally I love having a brownie as one of the cookies especially when they are heated. Great place for a post meal dessert.

Ever since my very first time in Scottsdale and had my very first Baked Bear dessert I knew I wanted them to be a part of my wedding day. For our rehearsal dinner we wanted to have Baked Bear catered as our desert for the evening. My mother in law contacted Ginger and she responded quickly and was able to make my dream true. We had 4 different styles of ice creams sandwiches available for our family and friends. Everyone enjoyed the ice cream sandwiches and couldnt wait to have a second one. Thank you for being apart of our wedding week and I cant wait to come back to have my favorite desert!

Ice cream was OK and understand the novelty of being able to make a custom ice cream sandwich but the prices are well beyond fair. A single scoop of ice cream in a cup was almost $5 dollars. No more ice cream than you can get as McDonalds for less than half that.There menue does have other items on but my advice is the be aware of the pricing.

We absolutely loved going to baked bear! We got a cookie sandwich and the cookie and brownie sandwich combo. It was about $12 for us both which I didnt think was that unreasonable. We both really loved what we ordered enough to where there was nothing left to take home. We will be back again!

Super disappointed. We ordered the dozen box, which listed 6 different cookies that would be included. When we got our box 4 of the 12 cookies were a flavor that was not even listed on the menu. Total disappointment.....

We love going to The Baked Bear! It has become part of our annual ritual when we visit Scottsdale, AZ. I like to keep it simple with gluten free chocolate chip cookies and dark chocolate ice cream. My daughter likes to have a great variety with a funfetti cookie plus a brownie and cookies and cream ice cream with Caramel sauce and more toppings. Needless to say, we were all in heaven!

This was a fun discovery! My wife saw this shop across from Shea 14 so we strolled in after our film. I love the build it custom concept. We tried different combos and it was all top notch! The cookie and brownie were so soft and fresh it surprised me. The ice cream is also very good. Together it is intoxicating.

Keep some in the freezer instead of cutting out a bunch of customers from your ice cream sandwiches 😢Response to owner: the employee told me theyre the only cookies you dont make yourselves, so you dont have them because of COVID. This place is AMAZING. A perfect treat for when it is boiling hot outside. I live in Mesa and the 30 minute drive is so worth it. The staff is very friendly and nice. The prices are awesome and you definitely get more than enough for the price! I love this place!

Cookies were really good, ice cream was just ok.

Drove 20 minutes today because it says you are open for take out and when I get here at 6:50pm all lights are off and you are closed. Risked going out to get a treat for my wife to be a completely exposed for nothing.

They have everything laid out so you can see what your getting. I was able to customize my cookie with what I wanted. The lady even asked if I wanted mine warmed up. Great customer service and my cookie was amazing. I cant wait to go back.

Never been to this place but have heard about it from people I know. This place specializes in ice cream sandwiches that are custom made. Customer first chooses the type of cookie, then type of ice cream, and as many toppings as they want, finally with the option of heating it up. Was not disappointed with the amount of customization on the ice cream sandwich and highly reccomend this place.

This place is outstanding. Not only are the staff pleasant, the food is amazing! I got the chocolate chip cookie sandwich with mint chocolate chip ice cream. I was expecting a sugar coma, but it wasnt un(bear)ably sweet. Next time I want to try the red velvet cookie with the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Will definitely be coming here again.

Cookie flavors sound amazing and what was available looked good. The cookies were better than okay but not amazing. The people in front of me were lucking out and couldnt get anything that they seemed to decide on. Kind of killed my mood by the time I got up to the front, so I just took the cookies and left. Had to wait until my mood came back to try them.

This place is great. This girl names Nehariika used to work here and she was literally the best.

Being able to get cookie dough ice cream sandwiched between two brownies and then have it hot pressed isnt something I thought I wanted in my life but I now know better. If you want it in a doughnut instead because thats your jam, then knock yourself out cause thats an option too. I also picked up the monthly cookie (because you can straight up just buy them too) and I hope they keep it as a permanent addition. It was a lemon bar cookie and had it later in the day but it was pretty amazing. I might go back just for that.

Solid ice cream sandwich place. They offer an option to toast your ice cream sandwich, which isnt something Ive seen before, so that was pretty cool.One of my friends got the bear batter, which in my opinion, was a little too sweet.It can get pretty crowded and they dont have much seating, so would be careful.

This was my first visit here. I expected the cookies to be a little thicker. The thin cookies dont hold the heat if you get it warmed. The flavor of the cookies and ice cream was good.

I wanted to love this place so bad after hearing multiple people rave about it. However, my kiddos and I stopped by this afternoon and we were bummed at the experience. The cookies tasted like they were not fresh at all and the staff seemed super unenthusiastic. When we left the two staff members were chatting and didn’t acknowledge us leaving. Expected a better experience for the price.

Very disappointed after leaving this location at 1:50 pm on a Saturday. Attempted to order a donut ice cream sandwich that I heard people rave about. The worker described it to me and I was set. Only to for him to come back out and say they were out of donuts... The place was hardly crowded. No one in line.... Sounds like bad business to me....

I ordered a two scoop waffle cone, but what I got was a four scoop waffle cone! The staff was friendly and the portions were generous; however, we ended up eating outside because the interior smelled strangely of wet dog.

Staff is super sweet, but donut and ice cream are TRASH. I paid $6.95 for ice cream on a donut with powdered sugar and icing. I ate about half, and threw the remainder away. All of the ingredients tastes like they were of sub par quality.

I was in heaven when I came across baked Bear. I love the ice cream selection as well as the cookies, brownies, and donuts for the sandwiches. The staff is polite and it stays very clean inside for an ice cream shop.

They are closed as of 2015. That is why i gave them 5 stars.
