Ace hardware is the all America store where they go the extra mile to hold onto the local business feel. I went online to find a good coffee maker. I was met by Eric who went way and above in locating a sister Ace Hardware. He wrote down the address and was what I called an AWESOME Ace Hardware Ambassador. I would like to single out Eric as a wonderful example of true customer service.

Sure an glad that Ace has survived the invasion of big box Home Depot. Nice to run in and get a few small things in hurry than a whole lot more than needed

Great store with very helpful employees! I have been going here for years, and am always pleased with how knowledgable and helpful people are. Theyre genuinely trying to help, not sell you things. There is a big box retail hardware store very close, and every time I go there I get frustrated with the lack of help and wish I went to Ace. They dont always have everything you need, but definitely worth checking first. Theyre also extremely helpful when you have a project and arent exactly sure how to finish it. I have had some great advice and recommendations from the staff.

Your typical ace hardware the employees are knowledgeable and will help you with what you need to find while giving some insight on the project your working on if you need it. Clean place and well staffed.

This place is terrible. Deep down I want to love Ace Hardware. I want to support this business over the other larger hardware stores but they are constantly disappointing. Ive called three times, explicitly asked for someone to check stock, confirmed they had it only to show up and find out that its not in stock but can be ordered and would arrive in 3-4 days. Also, the customer service attitude is good but they lack expertise. Im not sure they know what they are talking about. If you value your time, go to home depot.

The customer service at this Ace hard ware was exceptionally good, I had a sense of a lil to nosey of associates thinking I might steal something but none the less they answered all my questions and showed me everything I needed to see! Gotta love ace and there great deals!

I went to the Ace Hardware & Rental store at Scottsdale rd and Shea on December 15, 2020 to purchase a key fob holder for my old Toyota key fob. I spoke to Sean who worked in the key department. When he saw me, he immediately stopped what he was doing and helped me select a Toyota compatible key fob. He then attempted several times to install my Toyota parts inside, but could not get it to work. He then directed me to an auto parts store next to Ace.I was impressed by his great work ethic, his willingness to help me, and the personalized service I received by him. This was my first time in the store, and as the saying goes, first impressions count.

Great service! Found that this place was on my way home from a class, so I stopped to pick up a bracket I needed. I had my 12-wk-old baby with me, but since I thought I was just getting one item, I took her in my arms without a carrier or shopping cart. Peter helped us find the bracket, when I showed him a pic of what we needed. Afterward, I thought of more things I needed (12V battery and extra house key). Chris, who turned out to be a manager there) was awesome. He found the exact battery I needed for the flashlight that was in my trunk and he also made the housekey, all in a flash. He carried everything to the check out for me and checked me out as well. Such hospitality and kindness! He was so cheerful, so efficient, so fast, and at the same time helping others who were shopping and asking questions, answering with specific rows and sections as we walked by. I actually kind of felt like royalty the way he took care of us so well! Thanks for your great store and excellent staff!

2 star for the paint. The machine does mix correctly. Bought sample, liked, got a gallon and its a different shade. They did take the return but a couple hours of my time and I still dont have a gallon of paint to use. Service is generally good tho

I have been visiting this Ace Hardware for my business needs for the past 9 years... Its an amazing location that seems to have everything the other big box retailers have, and more...My main reason for writing is the AMAZING people who work at this location...Case in point would be Ethan... This young man is astounding. Ive visited this store 3 times this past week and have had Ethans assistance each time... He lives and breaths the whole Customer service is job one program every company aspires to... Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. ACE has those odd bits, you didnt know existed, until you needed them; and then learn the Big Box Blue and Orange dont have (or know what youre showing them).This location is a bit buried behind a Circle K and another store - but seems to be one of the larger ACE in the area.

Great Kids that work there. They really try to solve your problems with plumbing or whatever needs fixing!

I would give Ace a 2.5 starts on price, refund policy/treatment, customer service and knowledge/help. I give them 2 stars for product selection. Their business model is clearly to offer more Customer Service Representatives per customer and to proactively approach customers for help. Thats a great approach, but to be distinguished from Home Depot and Lowes their representatives would need to have better legitimate knowledge on topics. Simply having more people is of no benefit if their average knowledge level is really low. It takes a lot more than just knowing what isle the products are in and reading the labels of the products. They have a doomed business model without significant service level improvements.

Very well-stocked store! Ace Hardware is always the best place to go if youre looking for personal assistance and advice, versus going to Home Depot and wandering around and not being able to find anyone to help you out. Its also much nicer being able to shop for everything you need in a small store, versus a giant Warehouse like Home Depot or Lowes. Our company shops at this store several times a year for specialty landscaping tools, and theyve never let us down, good job Ace Hardware!

I had gone to home depot first and asked for help in the garden area and this worker that was watering plants was just rude I had to go else where and i should have gone to Ace first cuz the customer service is unparalleled

Nice and helpful, had new spray paint can that was clogged they replaced it no questions asked.

Of course it is better than going to a Home Depot. However whoever is the owner/manager of the store should take some time to invest in employee training. I come here all the time and most of the employees have zero customer service skills. A smile and asking how your day is would go very far. I just checked out and not so much as a smile or any acknowledgement. Another person I asked a question of and he did not even look at me but sort of mumbled “no he doesn’t think they have that”. Then he walked away. Just a suggestion that some basic customer service training would go along way to improve your store!

I have had multiple good experiences with this location. Many times employees have gone out of their way to be helpful.

The staff is always ready to help you find stuff. Their screw and bolt collection is fantastic.

Love my local Ace. Better than having to drive to a large chain store. In and out in less time. Always someone there to help you with a question or find something for you.

I shop here regularly. The quality of the staff varies greatly with some experienced older people who are really helpful and know a lot. A few of the younger staff are good too, but several times Ive run into people who do not know much of anything and to top it off are lazy and reluctant to help. Still about 10 million times better than Home Depot or Lowes.

Very disappointed in this Ace. This is not my usual store but I was in the neighborhood. There were several people working, but they were not very helpful except for the person working in the paint section. Other than him, they were pointedly not friendly and when I got directions to the location of the item I needed, it was on the opposite side of the store from where it actually was displayed. I wasted quite a bit of time wandering up and down the aisles trying to figure out how I was overlooking it. Much prefer my regular Ace on Shea & 32nd Street.

I am from out of town and I had a flat tire on my wheelbarrow and when I went in and asked if they could air up the tire the gentleman behind the counter said no I dont have one you can use but I can sell you a pump I thought this was the place with the helpful hardware man not the upsell a guy I would not recommend this place to my enemy

I found the store to be BIG, bright, clean beautifully stocked and with things Id been looking for but could not find at HD or Lowes. The employees were plentiful, gave good advice, friendly, very helpful and didnt rush me. Checkout was quick once the casher called for backup. The prices are higher than at the bigger stores, but the entire shopping experience (as far as Im concerned) makes it worthwhile to shop at this ACE store.P.S. I didnt have time to shop the entire store, so Ill be going back...soon.
