The best tacos,burritos and Mexican food in the area.Burritos are big and delicious...

The worse tamales I’ve ever had . They should be called all “masa tamales” only one little piece of chicken the rest all doughy flour.

Everyone here is very welcoming! I come here to do some grocery shopping and also because my family love their Carne Asada Tortas and Agua de Horchata, they have an actual Authentic Mexican Taqueria. We have tried tortas and mexican food at other Taquerias and weve been disappointed. Their catering is also very good. I had their fajitas de pollo and my guest loved it. Im 100% satisfied with this place.

This place is a hidden gem that is tucked back in the shopping area plaza. Their El Pastor is amazing!!! Everything taste great and is fresh. You can order food or hit there meat counter to take meat home to cook. Definitely recommend this place if you have the taste for Mexican food!

Ordered menudo and portion size very small do not recommend! Go to Rio Grande!

Go here for the weekend Carnitas!!! It is the bomb! Also get a container of the homemade salsa! Best around... Seriously....I have tried alot (and made some) salsa and if you like a blend of awesomeness and heat you will love this!

Been going for awhile but feel as if I was taken advantage of fir not knowing Spanish.. very uncomfortable. Prob spend a grand a year here ...not anymore

Its a quaint little Bodega with its own traditional latino charm. Family business apparently, have purchased small groceries on occasion at this store. But, what I really go there for is the prepared per order mexican food, and the hot and ready to go Tamales. Their Tamales are one of the the best flavored and overall tasting of a tamale in the traditional sense, in the Shorewood/Plainfield area(delicious). Must try.

I would often come here for lunch, and the food they serve has always been good. Zero complaints! I could care less wether someone acknowledges me if I am shopping but every time I come here as soon as I enter I get a hello from the cashier. I walk towards the back of the store and am greeted as well and helped right away. Love that there is a smaller market near me that can offer me authentic Mexican food.

Great spot hidden at the end of a strip mall. Ethnic grocery in front, fresh meat and grill in back. Tried the tacos and they were great. El Pastor and cheorizo were the best. Saw everyone coming in bought tamales, so we did too. Tried pepper and cheese along with pork. Both excellent.

Store is too small to hold so many people and most without masks. They need to decide if they are going to be a store, restaurant, or inter country money transfer center during the pandemic. Young lady and young man at the register are rude and untrained. When they make an error on the order they have no idea how to correct.

Workers in back serving the Birriera and cow head, dont be annoyed with the customers when they are paying for what they ask for. 🙄

I’ve been to several taco joints and none compare to this one. Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, I may be white but I sure do know a good street taco from a bad one. Once you try these tacos you’ll never want to eat any one else’s tacos!

Walked in and was never acknowledged, even though there was only one customer in there. After waiting several minutes to be helped, decided they must didnt want my money and I left. Too many other places around offering the same items to have to settle for this type of service. The food may have been great, but Ill never know. My first and last visit.

We stumbled upon heaven here. We were searching for burritos when we discovered this place. Unexpectedly, it is a grocery store with a grill and butcher in the back. The burritos were absolutely amazing and priced similar to chains like chipotle etc. The guacamole and salsa were also on point. We will be coming back!

I absolutely love the restaurant inside the store that is why I gave it three stars. I went there and bought four items and was overcharged by three dollars.. which I didn’t notice until I got home.. their produce is not very good.. all the jalapeños and lemons were bad.. Just going to stick to going to the restaurant from now on...

Walk in, cashier never looked up to greet us. We were the only ones there. Cook didn’t greet us. We were standing by the meat waiting for someone. No one ever asked us if we needed anything and the red meat was brown. No where near fresh and it was $6/lb. No thank you. First and last time going to this place.

The Butcher Shop has excellent Skirt Steak they will also marinate it for 1 Dollar extra per pound. The Chicken and Pork Tamales are also very good. The Steak tacos are pretty bland from the restaurant though thats why I can only give it 3 stars. But if youre looking for quality Meat to bring home and cook yourself they get a 5!

The food is great! Not a fan of the shop part since the items are over priced. But the hot ready food is absolutely fantastic. Tamales here are quite up there in level of taste.

The kitchen at the back of the store serves up the tastiest and freshest Mexican food. You get you food covered right in front of you and its always served hot. The service is excellent there and fast.

Been going here for at least 8 years. Love everything about it. Foods awesome, the people are the best. This establishment is definitely a staple to our neighborhood.

There is a young teenage girl who works at the register. She is extremely rude. I would ask her were things we’re located in store and I would get a snoby attitude. I catered from here for my daughters 1st big birthday party and it will be my last. They messed up my order and then told me they couldn’t fix it. I was so embarrassed at the party. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place the service is horrible.

Plainfields hidden secret. Great tacos and super friendly staff. My new fav spot. I lived here 7 years and just found this spot. My kid wanted to try mexican candy and they have a decent selection. The butcher here too has great cuts and good prices. Come support this business!!!!
