Sunday afternoon, super busy. Watched four employees by a checkout sit around on their phones, scrolling through apps, as their other coworker on a different checkout is working hard to get through a line. As a result, the self checkout line was backed tf up. Eventually after I stared for a bit one of the phone girlies opened their register and checked me out. Didn’t get a decent greeting from her either, just a blunt “hi” and that was it. Then this poor girl’s little “work friends” didn’t even help her bag my groceries. Just stood there scrolling through IG as their coworker was checking me out. They were finely staffed, the staff was just being lazy as hell. I love this grocery store, the floor staff is usually so friendly and helpful, but the cashiers are rarely the same.

Poorly run Metro Market. Rude workers. Cashiers will take your money but wont give you change. Place looks run down and dirty alot of times. Too bad I live nearby. Will have to drive further to Wholefoods or Outpost from now on.

Place has been going downhill. Filthy, produce is rarely fresh and goes bad fast, Ive gotten sour milk on numerous occasions that had not even reached sell-by date, staff (for the most part) is unhelpful, lately there have been almost no shopping baskets and I could keep going on.

Mostly kind and helpful staff. Ive never had anything I needed be out of stock. Theres a large selection of stuff. Its very clean and looks nice. Its 2 floors which is cool and theres 3 large elevators for carts and stairs if you just have a basket. Theres a 4 floor parking garage so you dont have to find street parking. Theres checkouts and self checkouts on both floors. Very good grocery store.

One entrance, self-checkouts practically don’t accept cash, 1/2 of the checkouts out of service. Understaffed, and seem to be more concerned over alcohol theft than Costumer accomodation.

Big time issue having no baskets to put groceries in. I’m not a cart guy, especially since there are two floors at this location. I can only get as much groceries as I can carry without a cart, I no caveman I just want to bring back more items than an armful lolz

Tuesday evening, the store is totally picked clean and there is one checker working. They need to hire and retain more staff.

This is my fav grocery store to visit! Its always clean and always well stocked,the fresh fruit and vegetables always look so fresh! Theres only 2 things that bother me..1 is the salads are now full service,but no one is ever there to help,the 2nd is i swear your Security Guard follows my husband and i when we go there! If we see him downstairs,then go up..we now see him up there..lurking around the corners..eyeing us..no lie!! I swear he thinks hes gonna catch us stealing or something,I promise we are to old to steal,plus neither one of us can run..so...yea..theres that. #1 fav store!

The store and elevators are filthy. There are piles of crumbs and bits of wrappers shoved under every shelf, especially corner end shelves. The elevators are totally disgusting, have never been swept or floors cleaned. Looks like a 3rd world market. Very poorly stocked week after week. Is there a store manager there? Sure doesnt look like it!

Best grocery store around shorewood and one of the best in Milwaukee. Very clean and helpful stuff. Fresh produce are best quality and bakery is also the best I have ever experienced. Selection is decent. Sometime not enough stuff during checkout. Price is not the lowest but you can save a lot actually if you get coupons sent at home and also clipping online coupons.

Love this place! Don’t try the ribs tho ... & don’t ask the service desk for help because they’re gonna make you feel like it’s a waste of their time!

While I generally like this store I found that I received a blank receipt when I got home . I had spent over $80 and put it on my credit card. Called and was told that it was impossible to get a copy. This is not the first time. Check your receipt before you leave the store .

Still doesnt take Apple pay or Google pay. Every other business got that fixed during the pandemic, why cant they? Just wasted 20 minutes of my time.

Stopped for lunch decided to try the brisket and looked good on The cutting board after I got it I noticed the barbecue sauce bottle was empty I asked the guy who waited on me who claimed he was the manager for some barbecue sauce he went on to the pizza side to win also more customers again after a few minutes I asked him if he sent a lady to look for some she came back said she couldnt find it I saw a lady come out the back she said shed have to go upstairs and get it after about 15 minutes she never returned I sit down to eat the brisket it was awful the best I can describe it and taste it like fat and ashes the tables were extremely filthy with leftover food in Spains nobody had wipe them down it was probably 10 empty tables all dirty wont be going back there

Very disappointed in the service and quality of food items I have purchased at this location. Not only have I been blatantly ignored by a woman employee at the meat counter for longer than 5-10 minutes across 2 occasions, but additionally have gotten home only to realize my milk’s best by date was 3 days earlier than the date I purchased it. They have recently redone their produce section and the produce is now extremely limited and often of poor quality. I use to love this location and went there for all of my grocery needs, but the changes I have seen over the last month or so have left me disappointed.

I normally really love to sit and eat in the area with the hot food.Every table was dirty with peoples left over crumbs. So visible that I could stand and scan the whole area only to realize not one table was clean. Also when the new breaded fish came out it was mixed with the old batch that was still there. I unfortunately got one fresh one and one that was like rubber (old)

They seem to always be low on stock (on everything). We dont go the same day/time but their shelfs always seem to be empty. Also the staffing needs some HELP. There is never enough open registers and the baggers will sit there and talk while watching you bag. Half the time on the phone or talking to friends that are hanging out.

DO NOT go here during the pandemic. I love this grocery store most of the time but the sanitation is not there at all. The cashier I went to didn’t sanitize her hands between customers AT ALL. There was no sanitation of the credit card machine. Scary stuff considering the state of everything that basic sanitary procedures are not being followed. Some were wearing gloves, but also not cleaning those in between customers. Very dangerous for shoppers and even people employed there.

Absolutely terrible service. They were out of egg nog on the shelf, but I could see about 100 bottles in crates behind the milk and other dairy products. The person who I asked for help to grab one from the back said she couldn’t grab one for me and when I asked if she could find someone who could she told me to come back tomorrow to get a bottle or to go to another store.

Good groceries, good price. Pickup is very good to have

One of my favorite food markets in the country. Has two levels, with parking and entrances on both. Downstairs is produce, fish, meat, diary, prepared foods and grab-n-go. Upstairs is everything else, including packaged, canned and frozen foods, household products, beer & wine and seasonal items. First level also has an eating lounge with a digital player piano, gas fireplace, and a spots bar with two mounted big screen TVs. Great staff. Fun place to just visit.

The store is really nice, but the parking is an atrocity. People taking up two spots or backing up all the traffic into the street waiting for people to pull out so they can take their spot.

Well, I just gave Aldis One Star..... So that means Ill have to give MetroMart a better rating..... What can I say..... I know several of the staff as they are customers and tenants of mine..... So Bonus for hiring and retaining local talent..... The store is BEAUTIFUL.... the staff are (mostly) beyond HELPFUL...EXCELLENT FLORAL department, with weekly deals on flowers, It has a REAL bakery and BUTCHER department..... The seafood is FRESH......It has amenities that other grocery stores wish they had....did I say PIANO bar, Sushi bar, Soup bar, Cheese counter, BBQ pit. In short it has everything (wine, beer, liquors), even has a good parking facility attached to the store.....it costs more but QUALITY always does..... AND CHANCES ARE THAT YOU WILL NOT GET ROBBED, JACKED OR KILLED, so what is that worth to you.??? EVERYTHING?!?!

Its not all bad however the bad outweighs the good. A lot of the employees have attitude and get into Customer personal business instead of sticking to good customer service. The majority of the time buffet food is cold, dry or empty. Cost is way too high for quality you get. The cafeteria tables are never clean and the two self checkouts always closed. Why not put the two never used self checkouts next to the door like the others? Some of the employees are outstanding. Wages need to be raised regardless. Things would improve when raised but wait hang onto that all important wage money stagnet while wasting money on other foolishness. Also the parking lot layout was not thought out. Very dangerous.

Please ask that all employees handling food wear a mask and gloves. Please ask that instead of standing around, staring at their phones, that they perhaps, clean and sanitize some carts. You do have some very good employees but the gist of them are rude as hell. Im appalled that this is allowed to happen. Is there any management on site? Do they care whats happening or is losing customers ok with them because they get paid either way?

First of all, they have at least some VERY honest workers. A couple months ago (about a month into COVID-19), I forgot my wallet there. I got it back the next day totally intact, not one dollar missing. Im a very loyal customer after that.That being said, Ive never been a big fan of a 2-level grocery store. It really helps to be an organized shopper here so that you dont end up using the elevator (or stairs; theres no escalator) multiple times. I still give them 5 stars because the design was necessary because of the small lot its on, its not the stores fault, just know what to expect. Produce, bakery and deli are on the first floor, most everything else is upstairs. Service isnt perfect, but its much better than Walmart and just a much more pleasant place to shop. Prices are generally good, definitely less than the regular prices at Sendiks. And they have exceptionally honest employees, at least the ones who found and took custody of my wallet!

Cant taste the barbecue meat. All you taste is the very strong odor of smoke. I didnt like it at all. Im from Tennessee and has grilled 40 years so I know good smoked food and how to do it to perfection.

I called today to see if I could get a corsage for tomorrow. Pretty simple! However I was basically told that She was too busy. Exact words were our floral manager is out sick I cant imagine I could get to a corsage by tomorrow! Thats great business!

It’s a nice store with good selection. I usually pop in for lunch but I’m not so sure anymore. The hot bar food is rarely even warm. Some of it was room temperature. I didn’t even eat most of it only a few things were close to hot. This has been a typical problem.

My favorite store by far. Fresh meats, bakery, produce. I love the way they will grill a steak for you while you shop... dinner check! I love the soup, hot food and salad buffets. Even the flower section is top notch. I always love samples like cheese, wine, honey, spice area samples etc.

Awesome grocery store. Not the cheapest, but not expensive either. Good value. Great sales. Good promotions. Very nice store. My favorite store since I left Illinois (Dominicks/Marianos).

This store fails miserably when it comes to point of purchase. They steer everyone to self checkout stations where you find buggy software that constantly requires employee over ride. No matter how busy the store is or how many customers are waiting in line, they never have more than two employees checking people out, even though they have two open lines. I asked the manager why they never open more lines and was told corporate cut their monthly store employee hours. I asked an employee if anyone ever asked the questions I was asking and was told “all the time”. Could be a great store but right now it lacks customer service.

There are things I like about this grocery store and others I dont. First of all, it is a Pick and Save and, if you have been in one, you should expect to find a similar selection of products.That being said, Ill start with the things I like. The prices are pretty good, at least better than other options in the area on most things. The organic produce section is limited but everything always seems very fresh and reasonably price. Sendiks seems to lack in the freshness department and the prices at Outpost can be a little ridiculous. A nice feature of this store over a standard Pick and Save is the ready to eat / grab and go options are pretty impressive and all conveniently located on the first floor.This brings me to what I dont like about the store, it is split between two floors, and a little awkwardly at that. The first floor is meat, produce and grab and go meals; basically the more perishable items. Upstairs is shelf stable items, frozen goods and most dairy. This all seems fine but I consider my shopping trip a success if I can limit it to one elevator ride up and one down without having to make additional trips for something I forgot. Ive gotten better about it but I have had some insanely long shopping trips trying to find things at Metro Market. The last thing I dont like is sometimes they just dont have what I am looking for. For example my wife insists that our dairy products be organic, they do have organic options for most things but do not carry organic cream.Over all it is pretty good place to shop, it just took me a little while to get used to.

Beautifully laid out store. Friendly cashiers who were knowledgeable, quick and courteous. Store was hyper clean and well stocked. Deli and butcher sections were full of food. I didnt see much of anything in the prepared food section that was vegan, gluten or dairy free. Convenient parking. Handicapped parking and accessibility.

Killed off several local family businesses, but is one of the best grocers in the area. Has everything. Park in the lots across the street for quicker exit.

I love this grocery store. It has issues logistically as a shopper because of its sheer size and layout, but they have everything and the novelty kept me feeling positive about the overall experience. Might be a different story if this was your weekly grocery, but if youre visiting and nearby, definitely stop in.

It’s been three separate times I went in for loaded baked potato and they told me they ran out of potatoes, how when it’s a grocery store find more or something I’m confused. Also every time I come it takes a good 20 or 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledge I’m standing there. I absolutely love the potatoes but service be horrible. Fix it

Lots and lots of choices for meals to eat on site, including olive bar, salad bar, and warm food choices, as well as individual portions available in coolers. Many beverage selections, too, along with a big bakery area. We enjoyed a caramel Gelato for dessert.

Multi-level store. As a first time visitor it would have been nice to have floor maps available at the entrance. I spent the majority of my time trying to figure out what was where. The variety of items available was pretty good.

I had a horrible experience with a guy named Alan at the grill area today. I politely asked him to season my daughters bratwurst prior to placing it on the grill. He went off on me, rolling his eyes and yelling as if I were a small child. Additionally, I prepaid for a rib-eye steak and asked him to prepare it at medium well, he decided to walk away to the back of the store for several minutes, while my steak burned in the fire. I sought assistance from the manager and she apologized and had another cook prepare my items, which added over 30 minutes to my wait time. I used to be a frequent shopper here, but will not be returning, I was late to an appointment today due to this experience. It is not Alan’s job to tell people how to season their food, his job is to service the public and to be professional and kind while doing so. Lastly, there should be more people staffed, so that he doesn’t feel overwhelmed with simple request.

Amazing place to shop, they are always trying new things when it comes to products and services, like a Walmart with steroids that uses better food and products, the 2 story layout can slow shopping down when you just want milk and eggs so has the potential to turn off elderly customers but the parking structure is attached the building so can easily be avoided. Staff is always prompt helpful and friendly and they do not harass. Great deals always. Love the sushi, love the bar, love the grill I love love love this supermarket

Wow! So much better than the downtown Metro Market. So many more options for fresh and healthy foods at great prices. Staff were everywhere to help and the store was very clean. Its a shame that folks living downtown dont have access to a store like this.

I really like this place. I actually take the bus (making it an extra trip) to come to this location vs. the Pick n Save on North Ave.Yes, I know they are the same, or the same company/group, or whatever. These two stores are not the same. Do the Pepsi challenge for yourself.When I get fruit from here, it doesnt mold within 3 days, as is typical of the Pick n Save products (at the North Ave. location anyway, not trying to knock Pick n Save, just this location in comparison of the two.)The store is SUPER CLEAN. It is a new store, but the upkeep and presentation is just amazing. Props to the store manager or whoever is in charge of that.

Went to shop and elevators where down. No one helped me with my groceries. Except two guys. The lady manger just looked at us and did nothing. I will never shop at this store again. Wal Mart has a better selection of items

Just moved here this week and I was worried about having a grocery store with elevators. But love the space. Elevators are less intimidating than I thought and parking it has been easy. The produce is the same as in our Kroger in Virginia. Fine but not the best. much much better cheese selection and take out selection. So very pleased so far

Great market for the neighborhood! Their meat department is pretty nice, and I love their fresh pizzas. The bar at the back of the store often has some interesting beers and seems to regularly host tap takeovers. I wish their international aisle could rival the one at Woodmans.

Really attentive staff and competitive pricing!

Large place with a lot of variety. Wide variety of fresh foods, they even have made to order sushi, bbq, sandwiches in the lower level restaurant-type area. They also have Starbucks coffee and beers. They have a salad, hot food, and soup bar along with prepackaged take home sandwiches and meals. Upstairs they have a wide variety of cultural and boxed/canned goods. The pharmacy and other body care items are also upstairs by the large liquor selection.

This place is ridiculously huge! The second floor is the place to go for your actually groceries (they do have an elevator and a store map at the front)! The first floor has so many hot and ready food options you could eat there for a week straight and still have a bunch of options! Parking is ample!

Pretty neat store. Great variety of selection. You can get fresh guacamole made fresh to order which is amazing!!!Theres a sushi bar where you can get sushi made to order, great selection of ale cart, and it even has its own Starbucks!The only issue I found is the bakery section. The day I went to get cookie cake and asked them to write, Happy Birthday, no one knew how to decorate a cookie cake. Instead I was given a bag of frosting and told to write it myself because the girl didnt want to mess it up.

The staff is friendly and the store is really clean. The first level is all your fruits and vegetables, salad bar, Hot food bar, bakery, fresh meat, Ice cream bar, fresh squeeze juices and smoothies bar and a grill bar. You can buy and pay for your meat and they will grill it for you. If you dont feel like grilling for the holidays I recommend getting the Todd ribs. I like them just the way they are but add some barbecue sauce for your guests. Now for the second level. This is where you will find everything else you need and the place is huge. I suggest wearing comfortable shoes because after the tour of the place and the money you will spend lol your feet will be tired. Oh one more thing on the first level, they sell and make pizzas and they have a seating area if you want to eat there.

Called to ask about their oyster bar I saw mentioned on their website, when I have gone into this store, which hasn’t been in over a year, the customer service was always very friendly, however when I called in today to ask my question was answered and before I could even get another question out I was hung up on, without a goodbye or have a nice day from the employee. I’m not sure if this is a sign of things going down hill for the quality of staff and or training here or what but I’m honestly shocked at how my call was handled, and am hesitant to make the commute to do my shopping here, if that is how I will be treated in person as well.

This was my go-to place fir the last 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the service has significantly declined. The store has 2 floors, each has several check out lanes. For the last couple of months (2-3 times a week) I’ve never seen more than one lane open on each floor, even during peak hours. There’s always a long line for the open lane. They have a self-checkout lanes available, but they don’t do much good if you have a cart full of groceries. Their prices are good, but due to the service issues I now only shop there when I have a short list.

Selection and quality is top notch. Lots of various food bars and new products. A pleasant shopping environment. The two-story store and multi-level parking situation is still strange to me though... not a big fan. They dont seem to have very many staffed check out lanes open at any given time either which forces you to use the self service lanes... of which I am also not a big fan.

Good market, can be quite busy and long checkout. Good to excellent quality offerings. Liked the deli better before it was self serve...kind of grosses me out!

So much teen angst, even with some of the matured staff. Not the best sourced meat. Salad bar is good. The cafeteria sometimes has live music. Even with those perks, the other location is better. Save your trips here for when youre already a grumpy Gus. Youll fit right in. Also, avoid the Starbucks there, unless you want a latte with extra grumpiness.

Its okay. The soda is scam levels of expensive unless youre buying their bootleg gross soda. Just shop for snacks at Walgreens instead.Everything else is finexoxoxo

Update:Below was the only bad one I have experienced since the day Metro was opened. Other people are so nice which keep me coming back.I come here every week. I have to say that I almost always meet really nice and friendly staffs. However, I had a real bad experience with my recent visit. It seemed like the ones who worked at checkout counter needed to leave their shift but they couldn’t and they had to work a little bit overtime. I had no idea since the sign of the counter still didn’t turn off and if I knew that they were about to leave and close the counter, I would move to another one. This led to the most unwelcome feeling ever. The staff did help me out with packing my stuffs but in the worst way ever. I needed to throw away a box of raspberry I bought that day because the staff put it under everything else on the top of it, and I had to rearrange everything after all since that was a mess plus an extremely bad attitude. Just want to say, if you don’t want to do it, don’t do it at all. I’m not trying to blame the staff since I know working OT without getting paid is suck but if customers don’t come back, there would be no business and no salary at all. The supermarket is having a problem with management for sure. So bad

The newly opened Metro Market is definitely a big improvement of old Pickn Save store. Larger space, more services and better experiences. My friends and I love the food here! We live and work close by. Sometimes we just come here and grab lunch. Over all environment and quality are definitely attractive and appealing!FYI, the deals are awesome! Been in Milwaukee for four years, I just got to know the Friday promotion.

I love this place. Every time I come to visit my brother in Milwaukee I have to stop here. They always have samples out and everything Ive sampled has been delicious. Its like a grocery store mixed with multiple restaurants. My husband and I tried the sushi this time and it was comparable to if we were to go out for sushi. And the prices arent astronomical either! I will keep returning to this place.

Good selection of prepared items (sandwiches, sushi, salads, etc) with fast checkout. Sale items are well priced. During busy times (lunch) they have lots of checkouts open---so you can get in and out fast.

Great prices with plenty of sales, large selection on two floors, lots of fresh produce, hot deli food (I recommend the BBQ) and a bar with crowlers to go. The best part of the store may be that you can buy alcohol until 11 pm. The parking garage situation leaves something to be desired, but thats a minor inconvenience.

I love this place! I like the parking garage because there is guaranteed parking. I dont mind waiting for someone to back out. Its not that serious. I love the store layout and the 2 different floors. I dont mind getting on an elevator at all. I wouldnt mind drinking and shopping, live a little!!! Im glad they put a Starbucks inside, I need my coffee fuel.The only thing that sucks is the street the store is on. If youre trying to turn left into the parking structure you hold up traffic behind you.

This is a Grocery store, but also so much more. With its many specialties such as oyster and sushi bars, youll almost certainly find whatever youre looking for here. And if you dont there is always a bar to distract you! Overall great store, lots of stock, great organic selection, great service, and always clean.

Its like a Pick N Save on steroids! The upper level is all regular shopping, but the first level has all the fresh fruits, vegetables, poultry, bakery, etc. They also have little stations where you can get different types of food! Excellent place for either eating there or a quick grab-and-go!

It beats going to Walmart, also the parking situation is awesome! Enter from the second lot entrance not the first (like most of the idiots complaining on here, who think there entitled to swift parking) with plenty of elevator space to carry all your stuff from floor to floor. I believe the lay out is perfect for those who are shopping for specific items. Meat and veggies and on the go food located on the first floor. beer, wine and pharmacy goods and everything else second floor.

Cash registers often understaffed, sometimes more than 5 minute wait to get manager to check ID for alcohol purchases. Parking lot is VERY dangerous because people drive so fast, as is crossing Oakland on foot because people exiting parking ramp often don’t stop. I miss the accessibility of the old single-story Pick N Save.

I didn’t know it was possible to love a grocery store as much as I love this one! It has SO many fresh options, like fresh, to order, guacamole!

This place is great! The first floor has everything you need to make a delicious fresh meal. but if youre running short on time, they have several options. From the hot buffet bar to ribs to sushi to pizzas. If you want to sit back and have a glass of wine with the meal you just bought, there is a bar. Stop off at Starbucks for a pick me up or get a fresh made smoothie from the smoothie bar. My absolute favorite part has to be the fresh guacamole bar. They make it to order rite there! Mmmm...

This is a great new location for Roundys, especially for those in the Shorewood area who have not had many options but to head further out to the suburbs or downtown. This two-story location has everything your typical Pick n Save or other grocery chain would have. Large elevators to take carts up are nice, though escalators would have been more convenient (a la Whole Foods). Oyster bar, dining area, and more options than youll know what to do with, this place is more than just a grocery store. Never had a bad interaction with a staff member - rather, most are nice and very helpful.

Great selection of high quality products. Helpful and friendly staff. Price on the high side but you can do well with the savings card.
