Visited this location October 18, 2021This location parking lot was well attended. Store was clean! This location does not offer the same items as other location. If you are in need of certain veggies and fruit go to the Shreveport Barksdale location. This store needs more variety. There are not enough of cashiers working during daytime you’re lucky if 3 lines are open and generally there is only 1 line open at night, and lines are always heavy. Please add more help on the registers.

Came through the store for the first time today. Everything was clean and neat. The shelves were currently being refilled. One guy greeted me and wished me a good day, as well as the other lady behind me. A female worker had also greeted me. I went to get in the express line. A woman name Deshona came to me and said I could get in her line as she opened it up. She was very nice. Very appreciative of the friendly service.

Great prices but need more cashiers between the hours of 3 & 6. Thats when people are getting off work and stopping by the store for dinner choices. Thanks!

I’m rating this store 2 stars based solely on customer service. Yes I’m a secret shopper and yes I was very disappointed in the level of customer service I received and the professionalism from the clerk. I was waiting in line at the lottery window along with other customers. There wasn’t anyone to work the window at the moment because the clerk left to help check out customers. The store manager went and asked a clerk to work the customer service window which she agreed. The problem came from the clerk working the register hollering at me in a unprofessional way in front of customers, telling me I skipped in front of the other customers. She should have observed the situation before she voiced an opinion. I was told by the other customers to go ahead because they had lots of money orders to buy or their transaction would take longer than me buying lottery tickets. I told the young lady to please take care the customers where she is at. She hollered at me to tell me that’s her window and she knows who was next. Embarrassed I was because of her professionalism. I called and complained to the store manager, he stated he will take care of it and he apologized. May I suggest the young lady should take classes on being professional in public and Customer service. This store in located off Greenwood Road and Jewella Avenue. Its worth the drive for the savings and great customer service

Well, I got some sausages that was listed at one price, but rung up for another price. The package shows 20 in the pack, but only 18 was in there. The manager did Not abide by the price listed. I am not sure how to rate right now. I called the store to speak with the manager, but someone else spoke to me instead and told me to bring to picture I took and my receipt. So I guess I would just see whats gonna happen.

The cooks in the deli have anointed hands. The best restaurants in Houston don’t compare to this hidden gem inside of Super 1. Whenever I’m in town, I will always get my lunch here. Their food is nourishment to my soul 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I usually go to brookshires or Kroger Ive never been into super one. My little girl messed herself in the vehicle and I went in and found diapers and wipes and juice got in got out very quick the staff was nice

In response to suggestions for improvement - Ive been a frequent flyer here for twenty years. Products rarely change or vary wildly in price (save for seasonal or limited items) and the staff is friendly. In all honesty the things that I dont like are management because it seems, as a customer and also close in proximity to past workers for lengthy periods, that general and asst. Mgmt doesnt have the ability to help their employees the way I feel they want to. The this is a business first and family second kinda shines in the lack of acknowledgement and decency given to the people who keep the doors open and the coolers cleaned. Also personally I cant stand the yellow and green. Whether a decade past due to touch up or fresh. Someone should been fired for that suggestion haha. But three stars for the lack trust in Mgmt and gratitude in employees labor. Change it up. Its 2020

I liked this store. It had lots of bargains at more reasonably priced than the first grocery store I visited. Since I wasnt familiar with the layout of the store I kept asking random people who I saw working in the store. They were very courteous and promptly went out their way to get someone who knew or could assist me to resolve my concerns. If I ever went back to Shreveport, I would definitely shop at this store again.

Mr. Childs takes the time to acknowledge and greet the customers while working through the store.The Produce, Meat and Deli Departments do an awesome job of displaying all foods in each department. Everything is always clean, neat fresh and delicious!The cashiers greet the customers as they walk in the store. Signs are posted on the front doors to keep customers informed of the guidelines we need to follow before entering and shopping in the store.In addition, for our convenience soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels are displayed at the store entrance. I also like the new shield cover over the debit/credit card machines.Thanks for protecting your employees and customers. I fast convinced and quick

My husband has been deployed for the past few months and sending money via western union. I have been going to Super 1 Foods to pick up the money he sends. The past few months Ive never had an issue with picking up the amount of money he sends, once a month. Last week I went to this Super 1 Foods and they stated they were no longer going to give me the money my husband sends.The young woman at the counter was pretty rude and seemed bothered that I was still standing at the counter asking why they were no longer going to process my transactions. She walked away. An older woman came over and tried to figure out what was going on but gave me the same information. I called Western Union and spoke with a rep who stated my money was good and did not understand why they were not processing my transaction. He spoke with the women at the counter and than with me again and said it was the store who had an issue with my money and to try again at a different Western Union location.I do this transaction once a month and think if it was an issue before the amount that was being sent over there should have been something said to me or the store couldve found some way to help my situation. I give this store 1 star because customer service sucked and because as long as my money is good there should be no issue with receiving my money.

Many items on sale always out of stock, the first day of the sale. Its rain check heaven at this Super 1 location. Plus there is no liquor department, just beer and wine.Update 1-5-21 today I decided to give Super1 Foods one more chance to redeem itself, but as before advertised items are not in stock. 5 six-pack 16.5oz bottles of Coke products for $10.00 absolutely NONE IN STOCK. Now lets be honest if youre having a sale on a popular item it would only stand to reason you should at least triple the order or more. Super 1 Foods is well known for this problem and I will make it known via Google. My reviews are truthful, accurate and popular with over 300,000 plus views.

Clean discount store - great prices but limited options available. Some items are more expensive because of limited quantities ordered (such as candy). But their $19.99 meat packaged combos make it worth the trip.

I do not shop at any Super 1 stores. I got some bad produce from the one on Sport Barksdale store. Manager was very very rude .

OMG. At the meat counter and an employee was putting out me and as I was looking and picking the packages that I wanted it was so wet until my hands were sticky then I was looking for some paper towels to wipe my hands and the employee never acknowledged me or offered to help it just rewrap the meat so its not leaking and getting all over everything, I had to wrap some paper towels around it. Good sales but dont expect any help here.

I have shop at Super 1 foods for over 30yrs. It was Brookshire s on Lakeshore Dr. before it move on Jewella/Greenwood Rd. And some of the workers/cashiers I new that work at Brookshire at that store and some of the other Brookshire s I visited if I am in that area have become managers and working in this store.

Everything is good Except One Nut Slipped Through The Front Door . A Shop Lifter I Told The Manager, The Manager Looked It Up On The Store Film And Found Him, He Has Not Been Back . But The Store Overall is Great, We Found Everything That We Were Looking For, And The Prices.Were Reasonable Also.
