My husband found himself back at the Darcars service department for a tire repair dealing with the fantastic Herbert. We needed a nail removed. So while the work was being done, he went up to the sales department to see our favorite sales manager Diako Akunzadeh. They were talking and Diako ended up offering us a fantastic deal on a new lease! So we traded in our old lease & ended up leasing a new vehicle! Diako was fantastic to work with and is just such a gentleman!! We highly recommend Darcars VW and Diako. Blue old, red new.

DONT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!I took my 2019 Tiguan with 72k miles in for service this morning and was quoted $145 for an oil change. I get my car serviced at Volkswagen dealerships only and this was the worst experience I have ever had. This service at other dealerships is $79.95 and my vehicle only takes 6 quarts of oil. This dealership charged me for 7 quarts of oil adding almost $10 in parts to my bill.I asked the service writer to give me a discount and he generously took $4.50 off my bill (down to $140) after overcharging me by $9.75 in parts and more in labor. TO THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THIS DEALERSHIP: Your Service Consultant Herbert Carrillo cost you the estimated $1200 I was going to spend at my 80k mile service interval....all for a $9.60 quart of oil and a $20 overcharge.

Do not shop here. I needed a letter verifying that my warranty expired and I went in to get help and they gave me the run around. Show up the next day in my police uniform and all of a sudden they’re helpful. They don’t help civilians they aren’t worth you’re time.

They raised the price by more than $1000 at the day of purchase, disregarding the fact that they had offered me a price before that orally. They knew I need a car and dont have the energy and time to shop around, so they took advantage of it.Two stars to the sales person who may or may not be part of the scam. They did good job otherwise.

Aurel, R, was great to work with! I recently bought my first car and DARCARS was the best experience at a car dealership Ive ever had. They were super helpful and R explained everything thoroughly and did not hide anything. He honored the price we had found online and helped me pick which car, model, and features were best for me. I ended up buying a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta SE and I love it! He made sure that it had a full tank of gas and it was perfectly clean before I drove off the lot. We test drove a few and he made sure all the mechanics were working and showed me all the features. He also continued to follow up after the sale and make sure everything was perfect. This was a great experience and ask for R when you visit DARCARS!

Horrible service.Everything was going well with the Salesman until we started speaking with the manager.We were ready to purchase a car that day and thought we could negotiate for a lower price.On the contrary, he was extremely disrespectful and was very cocky.We decided to get our car elsewhere.I advise you not to go to this dealership.

Was getting my car serviced, decided to go to the Showroom to see what cars were new since I bought my wife’s car a few years back but as I was looking no one asked me if I needed any help in fact I over heard this manager that seems new because all the times I have brought my car to get serviced I have never seen this guy before, say something very explicit and disturbing to two of the sales consultants and it was so disturbing I had to walk away it was sickening if your going to say something like sending two people in a box to Africa you should not be working in any type of customer service.. luckily I didn’t have my kids with me because if I did someone higher up would have to hear about that... getting my car serviced else where from now on!

First of all. I am not a fan of car sales persons. However once I met Eduardo, my years negative of opinions changed. Eduardo, Abdul, the Sales Manger and Jeff in Finance, have all contributed to my joy and happiness. They made the car buying experience well worth the visit. Mr Abdul (over 20 yrs with this dealership) understood my needs and wants. He hand picked my 2021Cross sport. They are a team of one. No one is trying to run any games. My family & I had 2 wonderful experiences at this dealership. First was a service experience for our Atlas, the second for a lease of a new Taos.The service rep Herbert, was excellent, friendly & really came through on the promised time.The salesperson Ridhima Massey and the sales manager Diako Akundzadeh, were totally awesome. They were kind, helpful, fun & gracious. This was the best dealer experience we have had. I totally recommend these guys!! Tell Ridhima & Daiko that I sent you! (No, I don’t get a kick back or a commission). If those two people are at work (they do have lives) you will be treated well! Bottom line they*LIE TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR*FALLS ADVERTISINGi found the perfect car on Carguru, a Gentlemen named Abdul was assigned to help me w the process he even got my personal info and sent me printed information on car price it was about $3,500 under sticker price, again i asked him to put everything in to writing, cause i wanted to make sure i had the right price and 0% finance for 5 years he said i was approve before driving 4hrs from NY, he assure me it wasnt a SCHEME so i plan my trip and get there i stared the papper work they gentlemen tells me its 5%.something percent cause of my credit, ok so i get a co signer thats tier 1 and had haves great credit and then he says well we can give u the car at 0% and the price we promised the bring up the car price by $3,500 plusbottom line they*LIE TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR*FALLS ADVERTISINGeven i had everything in writing they still change price and agreements take your money somewhere where they wont lie

This is an updated review. Previously I left a 5 star review in November 2020 after I bought a MY 2020 VW Tiguan. I had a very nice experience, so I returned in September 2021, looking to buy a new ID 4.Upon arrival, I expressed that I am a 2 times repeated customer. All people who helped me previously had left the dealership, so I was greeted by a group that I have never seen before. They did not have the AWD model that I was looking for, but told me the RWD model is as good because of the heavy battery weight at the rear which I know was not the fact. The car cannot be test driven, that is quite stand out because other dealerships encouraged me to test drive to see how unique this car is. Then I was told there is a $7500 mark up fee over MSRP and its not negotiable because its such a hot vehicle people will line up to purchase at that price.I already did my fair share of research and 2 of the 3 dealerships I called previously told me they will sell at MSRP, and the third said they have 2% surcharge because thats the commission (about $900). I thought as a repeated customer I may get slightly better treatment (the worst, at MSRP) and I wanted to build even better relationship. Sadly thats not the case. I went to another dealership slightly farther away, got the AWD model, and actually paid less than MSRP (by asking if they can drop the $132.41 off to make the OTD number a whole number which they agreed). That dealership also told me that I can build one at VWs website, and pay exactly at MSRP if I dont mind wait for it. I wonder why Darcars VW believed people are willing to pay $7500 over MSRP. Yes, the ID 4 is nice, but NOT THAT NICE.Unfortunately based on my latest experience, I had to modify my review. The people who made my previous experience so wonderful were not working there any more. I guess there is new instruction there which no longer look out for customers best interest.

I was skeptical at first since I had a bad experience prior to visiting VW Silver Spring at another dealership who only want your wallet. Poor customer service! This dealership and the rest of VW dealers do not care about their customers. They sold me an extended care coverage and have ambiguous information that is NOT provided in the contract and will not honor it despite my car having the mileage to qualify for the 40k mile service. I will NEVER purchase another VW again as customer service and the quality of service has been abysmal across the board.

If I could give them zero stars I would. This is my first experience buying a car and it has been absolutely horrible. Do not EVER go to this dealership. It started out with a great price, and then turned out to be horrible from there. There was a scratch on my car and they promised they would fix it yet after the two times I brought my car in they made excuses up as to why they couldnt fix it. Then they didnt send me a bill and called me and said I was going to be charged with a late payment if I didnt pay that night due them forgetting to submit my paperwork. They forgot to send me my license plate until I called and reminded them. Finally they charged me twice on my first bill and only one of they payments they took out of my account actually went towards my car. So they stole money from me. Absolutely horrible all around. Suggestion: spend the money and go to a dealership that is good quality

Had an appointment to test drive a specific vehicle. We confirmed the appointment two times the day of, as we were coming from PA and were running late, and even told the salesman that we were coming from far away. Two hour drive later and we were informed that the car had been sold days before and the salesman we had dealt with was nowhere to be seen. They blamed the mistake on the fact that their online rep had not taken the car off the website yet- but we had an appointment! The least they could have done was make sure it was still available for us and be transparent...I absolutely do not recommend this dealer!

I bought new tires in July 2020 and we immediately noticed they were improperly balanced. 2 of the 4 purchased were also losing air to the point of being near flat. My daughter took her car in and the service tech was so rude and condescending that she left crying, feeling berated and belittled. I have never yelled so much. I demanded an apology - the service tech flat out refused. And the manager was condescending to me. This is my 2nd VW purchased from this location. And dead last. This service location is 2 miles from my home. But I’ll drive 15 to Tyson’s to get better service. Do not send your business to this location.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Bad business practices! I found a car online, the car was priced slightly under $14,000 called the dealership and spoke to a very nice salesperson several times trying to work out a deal. We worked out a deal for $15,500 including taxes,tags, and processing and a free oil change. I came with my own financing but because we worked out an okay deal and they said that they could get me a lower interest rate I went with their financing. Got everything together, I asked if they could deliver the car like they stated on their website.  They said yes but asked if I could come to the dealership since there was so much paperwork to sign, I said yes we agreed and set up a time for me to pick up the car the next day. Well three hours before I was supposed to pick up the car the salesman called me and said they underpriced the car and wanted to charge me a few thousands dollars more. I pushed back we agreed on a price, that price was confirmed FOUR times but they decided that they would not honor the price we had agreed to, while acknowledging that the under pricing was their fault.  BAD BUSINESS! Dont shop here. They wasted my time and the 2nd car I had as an option was brought so now Im back to looking. I will tell everyone I know not to shop here.

Bought our daughter a car in August 2018. As we were sealing the deal, they realized they could only find one set of keys and there was supposed to be two. They said theyd find the second set and provide them. A month later the salesman calls and says theyve found the keys. It took our daughter until April to get up there as we live an hour away. By April they couldnt find the keys and of course the original salesman no longer worked there to explain where they were. We asked them to find them or provide us with a second set per the deal. The manager Eric refused. Said if it had been part of the deal it would have been on a we owe document they provide as another problem with the car had been. Definitely not a reputable dealership. Might as well have gone to one of the used car lots selling damaged cars. We will NEVER buy from a Darcar dealership again.

The staff here is great! Tony was the only dealer I was dealing with that thought outside of the box and whose first question, wasnt when can you come in. With two working parents and a 3 year old and 3 month old this made a worlds difference in our car purchasing experience. Robin, Eduardo, and all the others were exactly the same. Super flexible, beyond friendly, and we all worked to find a AMAZING deal that was unmatched by any other dealership. This is was my first time buying a new car and I dont think I can go anywhere else again given how great of experience it was!

Terrible service. 1 star is a generous review.Bought a car from them and they roped me into buying the 100k mile warranty. I regret the car but dont let me digress. I took it in for service and they wont give me a loaner anymore (a sign that they are about to go out or business). They charged me for something that is under warranty and they refused to cover it. They are trying to tell me front brakes are $1,100. I went to a mechanic and they can do the same work for half the price. My wife called to see if they could come and pick her up in the shuttle van and they refused. I can assure they wont see me again. King VW will have my business from now on.UPDATE: nope they still havent gone out of business but its only a matter of time now. I got the breaks replaces for $360 instead of Peters $1,100.

I worked with Leslie and shes amazing! She worked overtime to get me into a car (which ended up being better than the car I wanted) and never made me feel pressured. She even found a better deal for me on insurance and was very fun to work with and talk to. I wasnt stuck in the dealership forever and when I needed to come back the next day to drop off paperwork, she offered to meet me early, before the dealership opened, to make things convenient for me. Keith at the service department offers terrible customer service. We called in regarding service we needed done and he said it was no problem and set an appointment. But once we arrived, he was not helpful every time I asked a question he wouldn’t answer and just say this is the price you want it done or not. He was clearly being very discriminative towards me. Rude rude rude and have not been able to fix my car for months.I have used DARCARS Volkswagen for decades, and have boughteach of my Volkswagen cars there, for myself and my family.Due to recent increases in inventory, navigating the site is treacherous.Due to recent decreases in staff, the workload for each man is now more than he can handle.I empathize with the remaining service staff, which is now burdened with functions that they are ill equipped to handle, such as payments and car rentals. However, that means that the already declining service levels have declined precipitously this year.Why do I still patronize this business?Convenience and proximity.Any other VW Service Centers are far away from my home.But, after over a month of delays on their part and travel on mine,even a simple inquiry as to when I can pick up my vehicle has been met with delays, and slammed down phones, I am reaching the end of myrope.The very least I can do is share my experience.

TL:DR: Avoid this dealership, I have had great experiences at other Darcars dealerships and other VW dealers in the greater DMV area, I advise you try anywhere else first.The full version:I am not the type to typically leave a negative review but I had such an awful experience that I feel the need to share it.I will start with what was positive about my experience - it was a great showroom, recently renovated and very inviting, and they had a nice selection of cars on the lot.The rest of the experience was downright awful.In person: We showed up around 3pm to test drive a higher tier 2020 Tiguan with the intent of getting pricing and trade in on my current car, and potentially to change if everything worked out. As an aside, we came in with guaranteed pricing through my partners Job, and a trade in value from another Reputable Car dealer in the greater DMV area. In the 2+ hours we spent there, I never actually got to see monthly payment numbers. Our salesperson, Richard, was nice during the interactions. The other person we dealt with, Adan, felt very pushy but was nice. During pricing discussion and trade in discussion, he tried to entice me with a deal that was the same original numbers presented in different ways, and kept saying work with me here. At this point, near the end of the first hour, I felt that I was wasting their time and tried to leave, but they still had my keys from evaluating my trade in so I had to go back in to get them. At this point they actually came back with numbers more in line with a deal, around 4:05pm. I expressed interest in getting payment information, and instead of being given a rough estimate I was asked to fill out a credit application. I expressed concern that this was normally part of the actual purchase, but was told this was normal so I waited. Around 5:10pm we left without seeing any numbers outside of the trade-in and purchase price that was discussed shortly after 4pm, after not having seen anyone for 20+ minutes. 10 minutes down the road I got a call from Adan about how could I just leave, at which point I explained I had to be back in the city and was already going to be late, that they had taken too long and I hadnt seen anyone to tell we had to go, but I could come back the next day. He tried to push me to come back that same day to make a deal, and I repeated I could come in the next day, and thats where we left it.The awful followup: The next day I got a call from Adan around the time I had agreed to come in, but since I had developed a severe cold overnight I told him I was sick and could not come back in until I was better. I asked him to give me until Wednesday or Thursday, at which point he wished me a speedy recovery and we left it at that. Then Richard called that afternoon, and I told him the same thing and that he should not contact me again until Wednesday. I then received 2 calls on Sunday, one of which I answered and said again not to call until Wednesday, 1 call on Monday, which my partner answered and told them not to call until Wednesday, and another one today, Tuesday, at which point I answered and told them not to call again period, that no matter what the deal they came up with was that they had been so annoying when I did not feel well that I was taking my business elsewhere.This is probably the worst car buying experience I have ever had, and a wonderful example of what not to do to gain someones business.

Really REALLY HORRIBLE SERVICE I got today around 16 days with my car at the mechanic services of Volkswagen DARCARS, lm just called everyday to ask about my car and the people told me wait one day, wait 2 hours we are gonna call you back, and I dont received any call back I went to the dealer TODAY just for know the AMAZING new Im going to pay $3,400 Im asked for details of the amount but I dont receive nothing, I was thinking to buy a new car in this dealer but with this horrible service IM COMPLETELY CHANGE MY MIND .....

Purchased a new sportwagen a couple of months ago and customer service was exceptional. Adan helped me initially with the test drives and walked me through the process. He was friendly and customer-service oriented. Then Spence helped out when Adan was not available and Spence went over the features of the car and was very professional and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the VW brand overall. Throughout the process, from first visit to driving my car off the lot, Robin was there to help with any questions. It was definitely a team effort and I never once felt pressure to buy, or purchase additional options. Robin runs a very welcoming, no-hassle(!) dealership, and I am definitely going back for my next car. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family!

This was my first time taking my car to the DARCARS VW service department. My experience from beginning to end was very positive. Mark (the service department agent) was very thorough. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. In addition he arranged transportation for me to be dropped off at work and picked up when my car was ready. I would highly recommend this shop if you are looking to get your VW serviced.

Purchased my first Volkswagen and my first car from Darcars. By far the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car (probably 7 or 8 between my wife and I)! Great selection of vehicles on the lot, our salesman George and the Sales Manager Ron were both very knowledgeable and great to work with. Saji went over all of the finance information with us without being pushy on warranties and add ons. Can’t say enough great things about everyone there. We will definitely be going back soon as my wife is almost ready to trade in her vehicle. Do yourself a favor and go to Darcars VW Silver Spring before wasting your time anywhere else!

I had a great experience with Darcars Volkswagen. Eduardo was super helpful and very knowledgable. What sets this dealership apart from the others out there is that they are upfront and honest with their customers. They give you all the information and allow you to make a decision. They are not pushy and dont put unnecessary pressure on you to buy the car right there. I think this gave me mental peace while buying my car and made me trust them. One of the worst decisions to buy a car from Darcars. If you value your time a little bit stay away from Darcars because the staff from the financing department to the tag and title department do not know what they are doing at all. I purchased my car in May of this year and was assured that I will get the best service from Darcars, but it was the complete opposite. I was given temporary tags for 60 days at the time of purchase and one week before the expiration of the temporary tags I contacted Darcars about my permanent tags and I was told I will get them before the tags expire. The last day I went to find out the status of my tags an d was told they could not do anything. Next day after my first temporary tags expired they gave me another temporary tag for another month. After the expiration of second temporary tags when I asked them about the permanent tags, all they were doing was giving me a run around for three months. I finally contacted Maryland Vehicle Administration (MVA) and filed a complained against them with investigations and right after the complaint was filed, Permanent tags for my car were issued the next day. DO NOT waste your time going to Darcars.

As far as car buying experiences go, I had a great experience with Darcars. The sales staff was not pushy which is a nice break from the typical dealer. The salesman insisted that we take our time, consider options, take multiple test drives if necessary, etc. He also took the time to walk through all the options and models. While I usually don’t like it when sales staff join us on the test drive, I actually liked the experience here because he discussed different features about the vehicle and was very knowledgeable. I’d also like to point out that the experience we had with all parties including the finance manager was amazing. The finance manager discussed the options for extended warranty, tire/rim protection, etc and did so in a non-pressure way which was amazing compared to a previous experience we had at another dealer. As long as the product holds up and the service department meets our needs, I can see doing business again with them in the future.

Great sales experience...perfectly DREADFUL SERVICE experience. While they were able to clear out the sunroof drains to stop a leak, they returned the car with 5 inches of water in the wheel well and a sorry we missed that, we cant do anything about that now comment. Repair took longer and was told they would cover 2 days of car rental. No payment for the two days of car rental, as promised. No follow up when my post-service survey asked for a follow up call. No call from the service manager to discuss payment for the rental car, as promised. Glad to see Im not the only one that has been treated so poorly and lied to.

I have gone here for years. I wont be returning..I was there this Saturday morning. I overheard this awful exchange between the Jamaican service guy and an Ethiopian woman. He said, I really hope you dont take this the wrong way but youre eyes are really special. I really hope you dont take this the wrong way but your personality is really special. Youve been coming in here for two years and Ive always that that you were so mellow and cool.Ick. So gross.I arrived at 9:40 to get anOil change and a headlight replaced.The service guy told me it would be two hours. At 12:30, I went up to the counter and said I had to leave. That was nearly three hours later.The Jamaican guy was responsible for everything at that point. He said to me, I dont know where you need to go but it seems really important.I dont need to explain tohim where I am going. I dont need to return to a place that employs people who sexually harass customers, like the Jamaican guy did. Done. Ill be going to another dealership in another city. I will only support a business that respects women.

Horrible customer service! I had to go to a dealership for repairs. I knew it would be more expensive, but I didnt expect such poor quality service. The repairs took a week, on the last day they offered me a rental car; on several occasions I called to check the status of the repairs and was told my contact wasnt in -- and apparently there is no centralized system that would say if the repairs was complete; they never initiated a call to tell me the status of repairs; on the final day, I was told everything was done and the tech was driving the car for a final test -- 1.5 hours later he was apparently still testing the car! Avoid at all costs (and trust me, it WILL cost!)

As far as Maryland dealerships go, this one is better but still not good. Service advisors dont seem to know very much, the black cashier lady must really hate working there as she has been depressing and just rude each experience, but the people working on the cars is the strong point o going here. It took 4+ hours to do an oil change with an appointment. Prices are very high. Know what you want or need before doing anything here.

Found a car through my credit union purchase program. Took the print out to Darcar. Mike Brown was extremely polite and insured the price was honored. He was very helpful. I would definitely tell someone to ask for him. Nora Cruz handled the paperwork. When I pointed out an error she quickly spoke to someone and got it resolved. She was honest that the percentage rate they could get for me wasnt as good as my credit union. She explained that she had me fill out a contract just in case I couldnt meet their 48 hr deadline for me to get the check to them from the credit union. She also collected the down payment check. When I returned the same day with the credit union check Nora was busy with a other customer. Alan, General Manager found someone to help me so I didnt have to wait around. When Nora finished with the customer she came by to see if everything was ok. I was disappointed that I didnt receive a paid in full stamped note. The young girl processing my payment couldnt provide one. She said the receipt would suffice. Maybe Im old school but thats what Im used to. Nora did tear up the contract I signed in front of me at my request which put my mind more at ease. Mike was able to get the dealer to agree to provide me a bottle of touch up paint for a couple of dings on the used car I purchased which he will have for me when the tags come in. The dings were too small to buff out but I wanted to avoid rust. He also was concerned about a plate for my tag and made sure the car was washed before we took it. I really appreciated the attention and consideration given at Darcars Volkswagon. The low pressure was refreshing. I can see being a returned customer with treatment like that and would suggest people check them out.

I was in the market for a new car, wanted to get something totally different than what I had. I had seen commercials for the Jetta and how much fun they were to drive. I went to this dealership and was met by Dean who worked with me for quite a while, with much patience I must say, while I test drove a few different models of Jettas. He was very informative...asked me what I wanted in a car, how I drove my cars, etc. and then pointed me to the model that he felt met my needs and wants and he was absolutely right! Dean even spent time finding the exact model in the exact color I wanted at other dealerships, drove to pick it up and had it ready for me the next day.I would definitely buy from this dealership again and work with Dean.

Went in for service this morning. After being belittled for what the service agreement which I purchased when I bought my car would include or not include I left my car with them. Came back to pick up my car at the end of the day to find they hadnt washed or vacuumed the car, which is customery at most dealerships. I would not recommend this service center and will try to go somewhere else for my next service.
