THANK YOU AMARI AND KIARA!! I went in to the store one night a few weeks ago with a list on my phone of make up to buy (because it’s all new to me so I got ideas from youtubers lol) well, my phone died so I nervously asked the two girls behind the counter for help and they were AMAZING!! Amari and Kiara were beyond helpful and dedicated to making sure I left the store happy and educated on everything I bought. I couldn’t express enough to them how thankful I was, so I needed to do a review to share it with everyone else and hopefully it reaches the company as well. I’ve never received such great customer service but most importantly I have never felt any so genuine. They truly seemed to me like they wanted to help me and I felt like they were just as excited as I was for me to try out my new products which made me really happy. I ask a lot of questions and always feel so annoying to employees but they made me feel so comfortable and I can’t thank them enough for that. I hope management recognizes what amazing employees these girls truly are because unfortunately that’s really hard to come by now a days
Went for a keratin & clarifying hair treatment, and Brittney was absolutely awesome! I love the way it came out.
I got my hair curled here and it came out perfect! My hair dressor was soo nice and clearly knew was she was doing. She didnt take long also, I would definitely come back again
I had to return a few things, since the foundation & concealer were definitely the WRONG colors. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! Ill definitely keep going back to this Ulta!
During a time when the economy is struggling drastically, good customer service and respect should always prevail. Today, I did not receive the above.TWO days ago, I visited the Ulta location in Warwick. Being a WOC (woman of color with brown olive undertoned skin) its a challenge to find the right foundation. Fortunately, I was assisted by a lovely woman whom I believe was the manager. I typically visit this location because they are friendly and helpful. She found two shades but warned me that the company was going out of business. The undertones werent ideal but the shade could still work. She wasnt sure of the shades since she couldnt match me due to the pandemic. But stated, if its the wrong color, you can bring it back within 60ds. She and another associate also recommend I try PUR if it didnt work out because they had numerous shades offered online.Since I was in Smithfield, I decided to return the foundations along with my receipt to the Ulta Smithfield location. The male associate/beauty consultant (initial K) performed the refund transaction. He opened the boxes containing the foundation bottles which I found odd but, I received my refund in full. I decided to try again and was helped by another beauty consultant who was a lovely young woman. Although she was unfamiliar with the particular foundation that I inquired about, she was diligent, helpful, respectful and courteous. She said it was difficult to see the shade since the bottles were frosted and, they cant test the product on my skin due to covid-19 restrictions. But again had said, if the shade doesnt work for you, you can return it with a receipt. She recommended that I try it in the parking lot before I leave. As I walked out with the new product in hand, I passed by the male sales associate K. I said, I was going to check the foudation outside. He said, thats a good idea. BUT, you can only look at it. You cant touch the product. His tone wasnt rude but, I found his comment inconsistent with the store policy and, inappropriate. I have never heard the above nonsensical comment ever in my life.Nonetheless, I tried the foundation in the parking lot. The young lady was spot on. Bravo! The color was perfect but overtime it darkened immensely and turned grayish (oxidized). Its not suitable for use.I love makeup. Im a Rouge member at Sephora and, recently learned of Ulta about 1-2yrs ago. Ive been a frequent shopper, every Saturday ($300++) until Covid-19. My profession allows me to enjoy this hobby at my leisure. And, I rarely return anything let alone makeup.Although, Im out $47.00 for a bottle of foundation that cant be used, I refuse to return to this location nor recommend out of principle. I will accept this loss. Upon reviewing Ultas store return/refund policy online, there is no such mention of the above request by this associate. All companies have the right to limit returns if there is a suspicion of abuse or theft. If he suspected abuse after one return, what gave this associate that impression of me? Thus, I plan to file a formal complaint to their corporate office in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

I came to the Smithfield location to purchase a mousterizer by clinique they were out of stock so the guy told me he could have it shipped to my house for free. So I gave him all my correct information address phone number zip code and email etc...So I looked over all the information he punched in and it all was correct and I paid and left. ..and the money was taken out of my account because I checked. So today I was wondering why I didnt have a tracking number to track my package so I called Ulta today and at first they told me to call guest services so I did..the woman was unable to help me because she couldnt find me in the system! I called Ulta back and they had several incorrect addresses wrong email and phone number when I gave all the correct information and he showed it to me. So the manager had to call guest services and finally the problem got fixed after him calling me like 3 times to get it right!He also sent me an email with a tracking number and you couldnt even click on the link! Long story short he said it would be arriving Sunday so fingers crossed! I never had a problem with this Ulta up until now. I will go back there if I need something but if they do not have it I will be going to another location! Very unprofessional and extremely disappointed.
I went in with my sister and cousin looking for a specific product. I never come to this one and I sure as hell will not be returning. Not one associate greeted us nor offered us assistance and we obviously needed it. Not even as we walked out did anyone even acknowledge our presence. I’ll go out of my way and go to another location.Update 8/13/2020: went to Seekonk location and will happily be returning. All three sales associates acknowledged and interacted with me and I picked up my online order and purchased other things while in store.
I went to have my hair done and this is the second time they didn’t do it right I wanted blonde with my natural brown root they just gave me highlights. if I’m paying you 160$ I want it at least the right style I don’t recommend anyone get your hair don’t here ever they are unprofessional. I tried to correct her and say what I wanted and she just told me that she already did highlights and that basically it’s my problem .
Great Customer Service
Placed an order for pickup, they said they had the item in stock. I called prior to order was told it was available. They took several hours (into the next day) to “process” the order once they processed it (by that time) they sold out of the product and then cancelled my order and was told I have to wait 5 business days for a refund. On a cancelled item, I’ve worked in retail for 15 years and haven’t experienced the lack of customer service and/or training or product knowledge and they are slooooooow. I’ll stick to sephora and target.(UPDATE)Go the Seekonk,MA location! I will only be going to this store from now on, amazing customer service and they are quick!

I love Ulta for their selection as well as their return policy. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I had the best experience today with one of the stylists at the Smithfield, RI, location. I needed expert advice finding the right hairdryer (I bought one on my own that I had to return). She took her time, listened to what I wanted and then provided an excellent opinion. The service levels at Ulta are outstanding.

Denise at the Mac counter did an amazing job on my makeup! I got my makeup done for a ball at noon and it stayed on perfectly all night!I showed her a picture of what I wanted my eyeshadow to look like and she did exactly what I wanted.If you ever need your makeup done go see Denise!
This location has everything stocked and has not only Mac products but also has almost all the new releases that come out. It also has a hair salon and a skin care salon as well. I myself have never used the Hair Salon but it looks nice and I can say that the skin care specialist Nicole is excellent!
I love Ulta. Probably too much. Good thing I dont work here...my paycheck would be gone!! They have great selection of hair, skin and nail products. Sign up for their rewards program so you can build points and get great beauty perks!!!

I had an appointment at their salon 2 weeks ago to get my hair done. I was so excited for this appointment and finally ready to get my hair done and I left 100% disappointed. I showed the hair stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted done for the color and specifically said I didn’t want her to touch my roots. After being there for 3 hours, and she only put the hair dye on my roots and did not touch any of the bottom of my hair like she should of. I tried to give it a couple of weeks to see if I could get used to it but I still HATE it. I’m so disappointed on how it came out and spent way more money than I should have on it especially to then be so upset about my hair. I want it to be fixed, but I simply just can’t afford doing it again after just spending ALL that money.
I relish anyplace that allows me to wander through undisturbed which is why I ❤ Ulta. I know there is an employer nearby if I need them, but they dont hover and I appreciate that. Their vast selection of products can be overwhelming which is why there is an employee every 10 feet. But I defy anyone to walk out empty handed.

Theresa (or Teresa) was the best!!! Few people can actually do eyeliner on me and make it look good, so I was very impressed. My hair actually stayed curled all night as well, so that was just wonderful! Good conversationalist too!
The best!! Holly cut and dried my hair. She was amazing, (I was very nervous about having hair cut) she took the time to explain everything. Very professional,kind...etc. I highly recommend her. Already made appointment for color/lowlights. After 6 years of looking I finally found a new stylist!!
I would very much like to give a review about Lynn Ricci, who is a Clinic rep at Smithfield Crossing in Rhode Island. She is so great and has helped me many times regarding skin care and make-up. Lynn is very personable and takes the time to explain how a skin care line works. She has given me samples of a product before I make a purchase to see how it works, which saves me money if the product and I dont agree. Shes simply awesome. I go to her all the time for updates on Clinic product lines.
This specific location is always very messy and poorly stocked. I have been there numerous times only to find several shelves completely empty of stock, with broken or missing testers. Meanwhile, staff members will be walking around doing nothing, not helping customers, nor addressing the mess. The staff are very rude and condescending on a regular basis. They will often stand and gossip rather than helping customers, and only help certain guests.
I really like shopping here. They have everything I need and then some. The store and people are so nice and helpful. Id give it 5 stars but where they are located makes me wanna rip my hair out sometimes!!! The traffic is terrible and peoples attitudes stink sometimes (meaning other drivers). Got everything I need for about 6 months anyways and thank god! 💖💇💅💄👛

Generally I am very happy with this store. The woman I usually deal with for Clinique products is great as is Eric who represents Tarte. However, my checkout experience today was less than stellar. In whose world does an early 20 something girl think it is okay to say “thanks, Hon” to middle-aged and younger elderly women? I noted that the woman ahead of me in line whipped up her head at that, but did not say anything. I told her, “don’t “Hon” me; it’s condescending. Please retrain your staff. I have never had that experience at Sephora.
I had an appointment for an upcoming vacation that I was leaving for at 5AM, and I walked in for my appointment where I was then told I wasn’t in for a month and a have later?????? The girls were then rude about it and did nothing for me despite driving 30 minutes for NOTHING. I am so mad, I don’t understand how this can get that screwed up. Now I have nothing done to my hair and I will have horrible rooted hair for my vacation. Would never recommend, horrible customer service. 0/10

The girls who we at the registers were very rude & miserable to my mother & I. I had Juliana & my mother had Erica. Erica accidentally put a brow brush that my mother did not purchase into her bag by mistake. My cashier, Juliana treated my mother as if she had just stolen the brow brush when my mother had no idea Erica accidentally put it in her bag. They were absolutely miserable & made us very uncomfortable. We almost returned our purchases because of them. My mother & I will NEVER return to that store again.

I purchased a Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner this weekend. I opened it this morning and the eyeliner on the pencil side was broken. It literally fell out of the pencil. I had no other option so I put it back in and tried to use it and it was DRY as could be. Very disappointing especially for the price!
