I like this store but the Asian guy with the long hair will creepily follow you around the store watching your every move. This is such a terrible and creepy habit. That’s one of the reasons that even though I really like this store, I rather go to Livingston Beauty Supply.

So happy I found a closer location. Well stocked (in fact they were still stocking).

I just left the beauty supply and had a bad interaction with the Darker skin store employte. She was hostile, nasty Attitüde and ignorant . She act like a tyüical arpund the way Ghetto girl. And the Manager of the store did not say anything to her. IShe just watched her hurl Insulin. I would highly not recommend this store and there prices were even higher than livingston beauty supply.

I called them on the phone and the were very rude. I wanted to know if they had 2 items before I went and they told me that I could come look at it and that they couldn’t tell me prices over the phone 🤔. They lost my business!

Yall are bugging the store has changed! There are more products, there seems to be new management and they are way much nicer. There are also more people of color that work there and know a lot about what the customer is interested in. There prices arent terrible, could be better. I have gotten my first wig here, I always get my braiding here, as well my natural hair care products and skin care. This is a all around great beauty store. Dont sleep on this store.

New owners are much nicer, but I find the prices are higher at least on the lace wigs..but overall great selection on all hair & beauty supplies

I visited the store today and the service was not to my standards. I went to buy a wig. The lady was somewhat helpful but there was no appropriate place for me to view the wig on my head. I did more self-service than anything else. It’s s shame! They have a lot of wigs but little to no assistance will make me take my money elsewhere.

The store is under new management with owners who are very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. The interior was re-designed which allows a wider array of products to be supplied for sale. Enjoyed my experience here and hoping the best for them!

I purchased a Bravo Human Hair Wig yesterday, while it was not the most expensive offering. I had the expectation to have actually styled and worn it. This was my first Lace Front, which I thought would require glueing the front etc. The salesperson at the counter said Oh no, that wont be necessary. I tried the wig on, commented on the lace band (about 2) which the salesperson stated she could trim it for me - I agreed; paid for it and happily went home. I decided to try it on so I could see where I wanted to add a few curls. As soon as I attempted to put it on, I heard it to tear. I contacted the business this morning - 3 times ( 1st time hung up on after what seemed to be implied it was my fault because I asked to have the lace trimmed, which I did not. The 2nd time I was told to call back at 10:00am to speak to sales person. Needless to say, my expectation of any level of customer service was dashed. Regardless of how much your budget is for a wig, you should have the expectation of wearing it without the foundation ripping. If I felt responsible for ruining the wig, I would not expect a refund or exchange. Product is inferior. Buyer beware - spend your hard-earned money elsewhere and perhaps experience good customer service which inclines you to go back. If there was a rating less than one star, it would be minus five.

Awesome. Under new management. The staff was very helpful. The guys helped find the ponytail hair that I was looking for which meant he had to take a bunch of hair off the shelf to get to the right one. I overheard people coming in saying to the women behind the counter oh, your new wheres the other lady, the mean one. She says shes gone. She sold the store a couple of months ago to us. Prices are awesome.

RUDE! Without cause RUDE! One Saturday, I went in there. I took some receipts and candy wrapper from my car looking for a garbage. I did not see one on the outside, so when I got into the store, I asked if they had a garbage. I was looked at suspiciously...so I was left holding the garbage in my hand. I placed it on the counter while looking around and the other lady reminded me that I left it there. I thank her nicely for reminding me to take it. I GUESS it would have been too much for them to SIMPLY offer up their trash can for my candy wrapper. I went to the other side to see about another product and ask the price. The lady told me that she did not know it - it was sold out. I spied the product (50 of them) on the shelf and she said a lady in a beauty supply store bought it and she still did not know the price. I asked what what her issue, she said that threw down my trash. I opened up my hand and immediately showed her it was still in my hand. All over a candy wrapper, I was going to spend $100+..I left, I was not rude. I just promised to tell this story....help me spread my experience

I always go here in fact I’m coming there tomorrow their products are good and some of them is cheap which is good. And they have lots of produts

I so wish that I had read these reviews before I spent a dime in Beauty Depot. The owner is rude without being provoked. I simply asked her a question about a product and she lost it.. It is better to turn go around the corner to Hamilton Ave. and shop at one of the 2 supply shops on that strip. At least you will be respected as a paying customer! I will NEVER shop there again!

I honestly agree with all of these comments about the owner Ive been coming to this place for years even when she used to be over there where the old shop rite was but now is stop and shop on Veronica Ave. Shes never personally been rude to me but Ive see how she interacts with her customers and it is kinda nasty sometimes especially amongst African American clientle (also if you have children i think it drives her crazy lol) everyone else is fine its just Tina (owner) to be honest you have to just take her with a grain of salt she throws a lot of this is my store Ill do whatever I want, type of attitude but I just ignore it get what I need and keep it moving. If your looking for abundance of a selection she does have quite of few things but be prepared for her personality.

Literally the dumbest woman working the register. She told me first I had white people hair. No honey, Im white. My hair is called fine, wavy hair. Im a professional in the beauty industry. She showed me three packs of hair and I told her that $260 for one pack of hair was ridiculous. She wouldnt show me what I was looking for because she wanted me to buy that one. Not worth the trip.

If negative stars existed, this place would receive -5 from me. I should preface this by saying I recently moved here and Im originally from ATL, GA. I went to the store specifically to get a flat iron and maybe some new products. When I walked into the store it was VERY crowded. Not with people just wig heads everywhere and blocked off areas that you need to call someone to assist you with. I could not find anything and dont even think about going there for product. Its not happening. I had to ask twice where the flat irons were and someone assisted me to unlock this tiny glass display there with only 2 brands of flat irons. I went looking for a heat protection spray/serum and non existed.I also did not appreciate when I first walked in the store another woman of color, dressed like a normal customer, followed me around the entire time EVEN when another store clerk came to help get the flat iron out of the locked case for me. Was that really necessary?I was overwhelmed and offended. I definitely do not like feeling like a criminal when shopping for leisure.The store has definitely changed from 2 years ago when I interned in the area. I will not be returning.

The owners are very unprofessional I patronize this store for years they never give you a break or a sample or anything! I purchased two of the very same item with the receipt they wouldnt give me an exchange and or credit !

I made a purchase here and what unnerved me was when the female cashier took my card, held it and inspected it (front and back) while she was on the phone processing my transaction. She swiped it once then laid it down near her. Noticing the camera directly above her, I explained to her that if shes going to hold the card during the trans, that she should at least lay it face down and proceeded to turn my card over. She looked at me like I was stupid and said nothing. She turned my card back over to front facing then swiped it again and laid it back down, front facing. I took my card and waited for the receipt and left. As someone who used to work in loss prevention, Im well aware how well cameras at the register can zoom and double swiping is very suspicious. Also as a victim of identity theft, I know too well how easy it is for ppl to steal your info. Ill be monitoring my statements and implore anyone who shops here that may use their card to request to swipe the card yourself or immediately ask for your card back after its swiped. Theft does not discriminate.

The wort horrible experience.There is a Chinese old lady she is horrible and she doesnt have manners to talk to the customers. Highly uneducated stupid behavior.Oh my god my day was spoiled because of that lady.I wanted to buy 4 wigs and she was rude even thou I as polite.When we stared asking politely some questions she started yelling and saying this is my store. F.. You and stared showing her toungue.I wanted to report to the cops. I just came out of the shop. I have never seen such bad behavior. Please DO NOT buy or go to that shop and if I wish I would talk to cop.Also you all are valuable customers and I personally wish none of you have toListen to the crap.So Beware !!!!

Well today the owner kicked me out of the store because I asked for 15% discount instead of 10% for one of the synthetic wigs on display. She yelled get out ..get out... I remained calmed and walked out because I did nothing for her to lash out at me like that .. She seems to be a grumpy old lady. Ill pray for her. Her business will not stand for long..VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very Negative Energy

Oh yes this is the right business I wrote this review for. Oh maybe I should have said a VERY RUDE ASIAN owner. She needs to learn how to treat her customers well.I would have given this store a -5 if I could. I went to this store today looking to buy some wigs. The black lady there was very nice and helpful. However the Chinese lady owner was VERY RUDE and ABNOXIOUS to the core. First of all I asked to use the bathroom of which I was told theres no bathroom that I should go to the pizza store next door. Pizza store owner was very nice and bathroom was clean. I came back to the store to continue my shopping, whiles talking to the lady helping me, I casually said you guys should have a bathroom for your customers yelling from across the store was the owner RUDELY yelling that she is not required by law to have a bathroom for anyone. She went on for a while about it to other customers. I didnt say anything but continue to look around. The lady helping me was so nice and apologize to me, she continue helping to pick hairs that would look good on me. I was looking and touching a wig that I already made up my mind to buy when this MANNERLESS RUDE owner came looking at me with an intimidating look and telling me not to touch the wig with my dirty hands. I wouldnt have been offended if she had simply said not to touch the hair but she actually said not to touch the wig with dirty hands, how does she know my hands were dirty? I got mad at the point and told her to stop treating me that way. She RUDELY said its her store and I should get out. Wow, I was SHOCKED and would have walked out right away if I wasnt pressed for time to go to another beauty supply store. I actually bought 2 wigs from the RUDE woman. When leaving the store I told her she needed to treat her customers better and she was like its her store she can take back the wigs if I want and I shouldnt come back to her store. I was so mad and agreed to never set a foot in that store. I did also responded to her rudeness but she blocked her ears and walked away. Reading others reviews tells me that shes been doing this to other customers for a long time. Why is she still in business? Im just mad at myself for driving 30 minutes to go to this store. Arrived at the store 15mins before closing. Was helped by the lovely lady at the wig counter. It was end of her shift so I was nicely handed over to John. After trying on one wig I decided to try a second as John was getting my order together. I was the greeted by Cruella (Tina). Who stated if I wasnt paying in cash I should leave now. I said well, I only have my card. She stated the machine is turned off. I stated well my bank is around the corner I can make it quick. She walked away & too my surprise I heard her say yes 911 I have someone here refusing to leave my store, I need you to send a car out now. As I looked around being noisy thinking I was about to get some first hand drama I was surprised to see her looking at me. I asked John.. Wait? Is this about me? He shook his head and apoloziged yes. I said but I wasnt asked to leave. I just asked can I go to the ATM & return. As a 1st time patron. I will NEVER ever in my life return to this store. And I ask the same of others. Let her see that w/o us these same people that she talks down to shell be NOTHING.
