Last week on my way to work my dashboard lit up unexpectedly (great way to kick off a Monday, right?)... I pulled into the service center and Ben was quick to check and fill my tires. Forever grateful for bringing me out of that panic AND still getting me to work on time-- thanks again, Ben and crew!

I went into this dealership because I had to find a car—my beloved Highlander was kaput. I *hate* buying cars. But in short order they had several for me to test drive and I found the right car fairly quickly. Which spared me the long, arduous task of going from place to place to find something I liked & could afford. The purchase process was relatively painless and they were patient and competent with my lack of familiarity with how things had to go. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience when I brought my car in this week to have a recall issue fixed. They were on time, organized and very friendly.I needed to get to work before my car was finished and was amazed to learn about their shuttle service. They gave me a ride to work and then delivered my car to me when it was finished. Dillon kept me updated on my cars progress the entire time and the shuttle driver was so kind. I can’t recommend this place more!

They were super nice and were genuine. Gave me the best financing that they could find and were honest. Very trustworthy and would go back there.

I was in for a scheduled appointment for oil change and tire rotation. It took 1 h and 45 min from the time they took possession of the vehicle. Two days later I almost lost a wheel on the highway. One of the wheels had all the lug nuts loose. Horrible vibration and metal to metal sound. At the time it was happening thought wheel bearing, shock spring, even blown transmission. Could’ve died because of negligence.Another instance: my Honda needed repair. They quote me on the price and I give the go ahead. Before I pick the car called the dealership and spoke with parts department for price of necessary parts. They give me and “X” price. Go pick the vehicle and settle the bill. The service department charges me 1.5X of what I was given from their parts department. Super shady. And no, labor was separate.Would absolutely not recommend for service.

Our Honda HRV was brought in on a tow truck to Berlin City Honda. The vehicle had just had recall work done at another dealership and was not running right ever since. Dillon, the service person we worked with, treated us so well you would have thought we bought the vehicle at Berlin City. He was always courteous and professional in all our communications and Berlin City corrected the issue with the recall and the car now runs fine. David Seavey was a very pleasant salesman to work with. He listened to what I needed and worked very hard to find something to suit those needs, coming up with 2 great options. I havent made a final decision yet, but if I dont buy a Honda, it wont be because the salesman didnt do his job! I have put a vehicle on reserve with them to test drive when it arrives, but I did not enjoy the process I went through to reserve it. Much paperwork to sign (that they shred if I dont want the car) and a pushy financial person who wanted me to decide on extended service contracts before Id even seen or driven the car. I finally got angry and declined to make any decisions at all.

Megan met me very promptly when I got there. I immediately got to see the car I was interested in, and she didnt try to steer me to a different one.The facility was very busy that day, but I didnt feel ignored or rushed. The finance guy was patient with me as we ran through financing options and all the forms.They did a great job.

How often do you take your car in for service and get a bill stating no charge? Thats exactly what happened when we took our CRV to Berlin City Honda to check on a tire that would not stay properly inflated. The service team removed a screw, plugged the tired and sent us on our way! Being from out of town, this was especially appreciated ..... and put Portland and Berlin City Honda at the top of our friendly places list. A million thanks to Heather and and the Berlin City Honda Service Team.

The service liaisons seem to be unhappy (they probably arent getting paid enough)and as a result dont communicate to customers. I expect more from Honda especially when, I just dropped 26k on a car and Im now paying $175 for an oil change and tire rotation. I actually dont mind cost, but bad service makes you wonder who else is unhappy and doing a half-a$$ job at this establishment. I gave then two chances and got poor service both times. Time to move on.

Our car broke down in Portland, several states away from home. They were able to get the car fixed within 24 hours and even picked us up from our hotel. Jerry was amazing and we cannot thank him enough for his kindness.

I bought from out of state. Temp plates have now expired and have not received title application. I have no way to register the car I just bought until I receive paperwork from Berlin City and now cant drive it. Their finance person, Ben, did not follow up when promised to address the situation, did not return my calls and made empty promises. Do not recommend.

Asked for Mobil One, did Not get Mobil One. Maybe it was a one off, I will give them another try next time my car needs servicing.

Its been a while since I felt like I was actually listened to at a repair shop. The communication is so easy and accessible and they are so helpful if you need to work on a budget. My car means the world to me as I inherited it from my father, and they did everything to make sure I got to keep it for many miles to come. Wow. Worst experience for my wife ever. The most rude and condescending sales people I have ever experienced! They act like you are an inconvenience when you have genuine concerns or questions. Even seeing the car before purchasing was a problem for them, with one saying, I dont know, go find someone else and walking away. Having to fill out new paperwork due to their own clerical errors along with it taking two months to receive the copy of the title number which is all absurd. During this time she was told to drive the car with expired temporary plates and that the dealership would cover costs if she got pulled over. After not having her concerns dealt with, no call back, and overhearing people laughing in the background at her after dealing with a rude person on the phone I can say Berlin City Honda of Portland will never take our money again. Our entire family has bought and used their services but never again. I urge people to find a different dealership if they can.

Im always scared to take my car to the dealership because I know its going to cost more than if I went to a backyard mechanic, however I needed an ignition installed in my car. I wasnt going to trust that to somebody that wasnt a certified Honda technician. I got a bit of a run around initially getting contacted with the dealership, click on their website and it connected me to Lee Auto somehow. But once I got through the gentleman was great, I explained to him that I only had one opportunity to drop the car off and he said that would be fine it could sit there until they can get to it. He told me it would go in to be worked on on Thursday, I got a text mid-morning saying that they had diagnosed the problem and explain what it needed and how much it would cost. I okayed the estimate and about three hours later I could have text saying that my car was done. The final price was about $20 more than I was estimating, All Things Considered I would say thats pretty good. I would definitely recommend them if you need repairs that you dont want to trust to a backyard mechanic

I spent over thousands $$$ bought a sedan and whenever i am bringing my vehicle for maintenance i received the worst services. I wouldnt recommend this place for any maintenance do not waste your time.

Usually 5, but two factors make it a 4 this time: 1) the wait time was a bit too long. Short staffed??!2) Heather is still learning, so she needed more time than, say, Eric would. But she’s learning well and will be tops!

I also stopped by Parts to change out the batteries in my keyfobs at cost, with free labor. Service you can count on, and you leave with a smile. Berlin City Honda was AMAZING. I was looking to purchase a particular vehicle test drove it and fell in love. But the love was short lived when told that if something were to happen to the battery Id have to pay out of pocket. I asked what my options were. Seeing as I didnt have an established line of credit, they advised me I could join New Drivers // Buyers program (not sure if thats what its called) this will allow me to build a line of credit with Honda and will make it easier for me in the near future. Payments monthly (not a problem), next problem I wasnt insured. They provided me a phone number to an insurance company and got me set up in less than 20 minutes. AT THE END OF THE DAY I drove off in a 2021 Honda Civic // 8 miles on odometer for a 36 month lease. 12,000 max / yr. Totally doable as I only need vehicle to go to and from work. Beyond grateful for Berlin City Honda and the staff who truly helped me out. Shout out to Christina S, David Seavey! They truly are the best!

I found the vehicle that I fell in LOVE with via the online portal & sent in a request for information. I dealt w/Ted from the very beginning, and from the beginning it didnt look as if making this happen with my budget ect, would be possible. I really wanted a lease however with the inequity in the vehicle I wanted to trade in, an option for a lease was basically out of the picture. Ted manipulated some numbers, let me know some ideas to get some extra cash taken off of my inequity amount, continuously researched discounts rebates, and communicated with me over a two week time period until he sent me an email and the subject line was GREAT NEWS!!!!!. Of course I was excited before even reading the email! Ted worked extremely hard and was able to get me the deal that was as close to what I wanted as possible (and it was pretty darn close!), and not only that but he got it so that I didnt have to purchase the vehicle & somehow worked his magic & was able to get me into the lease that I wanted from day 1!! He even had the vehicle delivered to me in Vermont all the way from Portland Maine! It arrived in perfect condition and was better than expected!! I would not only HIGHLY recommend this dealership to family & friends but I would also recommend that they ask for Ted Hanson! Our entire family including my Husband & I have used the same dealership for years upon years, the last dealership we went to, we were treated quite badly. Due to the great service from Berlin City of Portland ME, our in-laws will now be going to Berlin City once their lease is up for their new vehicle - we couldnt ever think about going to another dealership after this experience!! I bought my 2006 Honda Accord here In 2013. It was the most reliable car I have ever owned and ran strong for the 7 years I had it! So I came back! Dana was awesome and made sure I got not only a car I could afford but a car I am beyond in love with! A 2014 Honda Accord sport! I always have a good experience at Berlin Honda. This day was no exception. I had received a fuel pump recall notice and spoke to Ryan on the phone the day before my appointment just to make sure the part was going to be there. The service went fine and took just about the time that he said it would. His attention to detail and his professional, courteous and congenial attitude are to be commended. As a side note, I think that they need to have a local service appointment scheduling center rather than having to call a centralized number and speak to call takers who sound a bit out of the loop as to what’s going on. Other than that, I highly recommend Berlin City for purchasing a vehicle as well as for their top-notch service.

Berlin City Honda provided a great experience in car buying. We purchased a 2020 Honda CRV EX AWD. Tommy was our sales person and Mark handled all the paperwork closing out the purchase. We were able to negotiate an extremely satisfying sale price...hassle free...and we did it all by texting. This was safe (pandemic) and saved a lot of time for us. Once we agreed to the sale price, we went in to the dealership to see and test drive the car. At the time we were in the middle of refinancing our home, and so not to cause any issues with that, we asked if theyd hold the car until the refi closed. Tommy agreed to hold it and we put down a small deposit. It took another 3 weeks to close on the house. Berlin City was very understanding and patient in dealing with us. How good is that!!! Honda makes a great product and the Folks at Berlin City are top shelf. Thank you Tommy, Mark, and Berlin City Honda, South Portland, ME.

Should be zero stars. Dropped off vehicle and followed the procedure that was given. I proceeded to wait for over 2 HOURS AFTER THE TIME THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT TO BE SERVICED! I called multiple times to inquire about why that was and was hung up on before even speaking to anyone than ignored. I called a different department to get them to get service to answer the phone, just got a transfer cause its too hard to walk around the corner apparently. Yet again no answer. I went inside to get the keys and the person I spoke with tried to pin the blame on me and said that the procedure they have been sending people is incorrect and someone was supposed to say that. Well guess what? No one told me THEIR OWN PROCEDURE was INCORRECT nor did anyone even bother to answer me when I called to ask. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service and I do not EVER recommend this highly UNPROFESSIONAL dealership. The work to be done was a LIFE THREATENING RECALL which Berlin Honda claims to take very seriously...... If this is what they mean by serious than I dont know how they are still in business. The issue described in this recall is the exact same issue that almost got a family member killed so it is personal.

My service representative, Jessica, was amazing. She was waiting for me when I arrived for my appointment, opened a third bay so I could drive right in and was very welcoming. She reviewed my service needs and checked me in quickly. Jessica updated me as the process proceeded and made sure I was comfortable.The dealership has a very spacious lounge area with an assortment of seating options to meet a wide variety of needs. The staff all wore masks and were conscious of the need for social distancing.When the work was completed Jessica, reviewed what was done, checked me out and accompanied me to my car so she could disinfect anything that may have been touched by service staff. Its like any other dealer. You just feel dirty and need to shower after leaving.They are in the business of trying to trip you up and take your money. I would love to meet an honest/fair car dealer. They would be my one and only place for maintenance and vehicle purchases.

Our salesman Chris Macisso was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles we were interested in and gave us great feedback on what we should look into with our criteria. We traded in a Jeep Compass which we had purchased from Chris 3 years ago and had grown out of. The first vehicle we looked at first was a little more than we wanted to spend so he looked at all his inventory and found us one almost identical for less money at a different location that was within our price range! He drove there to get it so we could test drive it that night. Chris got us into a 2015 Toyota Highlander which was a little newer with less miles and had the 3rd row seating adults would be comfortable in and we are extremely happy!! Thank you Chris for another great experience!

It turns out I needed new tires on top of engine flush. Not knowing what to buy, Eric, I believe explained the difference clearly, so i was able to make arational decision. The tires are a smooth, quiet ride as promised ! And the dealership put $50 coupon toward my final bill which is much appreciated !

I had my first scheduled maintenance appointment and the service adviser, a young man named Dillon, was super all the way. When he found that as a retiree that my time was flexible, he scheduled me at a perfect time when I could pull right in and get the service done! He explained the process and explained the results. Very polite and friendly; he represents the service department at the dealership very well!

Frauds! Dont waste your time there. Sent my car there back in the summer and was told there was corrosion in the battery and the filters needed replacing. Instead of being charger $150, i replaced and did those myself for $30. I went back 4-5 months later for an inspection and they clearly just used the old report as those items were still listed. I tried telling my service advisor and she showed me a picture of my battery which was actually the same picture from 4-5 months ago in todays report. We called to let the service advisor know and she apologized but claims that she looked at it and saw buildup herself (there wasnt any!). I doubt anything would come of it . One mistake they didnt realize was, when I cleaned the battery i added two colored rings in each terminal which wasnt in the picture. Sorry guys, I am going back to Prime Honda!
