I came to this Ulta to buy shampoo and conditioner. I was greeted with a curt hello at the door and the associate immediately went back to talking to her friend behind the counter... There was a handful of people in the store and maybe only one being helped while the other associates stood behind the counter chatting with each other. I was planning on asking for help to find the right shade of bb cream but I felt like I was bothering them by just check out with the two items I had... not a great experience will not be back to this particular Ulta.

It was the greatest experience ever! Lauren did my Balayage and I could not be happier. There was a slight mix up with my appt but she was a Trooper and took care of me with all of her attention when she was with me! I would highly recommend this Salon, the girls there are great and if you want perfect eyebrows see Alicia, man that girl is a magician! The stylists are great however who manages the appointments is terrible.If you want to show up and be double booked and told to go home because there is nothing they can do then come to this place.If you want to book an appointment and mark it on your calendar with time and date only to find out they canceled your appointment 30minutes before hand come here.Completely unacceptable and over priced.

Love this place. Im a makeup artist and always take my clients here for a foundation color match. The ladies are always so helpful. I recently went for my prom client and the color matching wasnt possible due to Covid. So I had to buy a few colors that I thought would match, went in the car and tested them out. And went back in the store to return the ones that didnt work. I thought is was pretty wasteful but that all I could do.

Your cashier, Annabel, was rude. And you didnt have the free gift advertised when you spend $40+ on Biolage. I had to specifically ask for it after my purchase. She offered me frizzy hair spray instead. I dont have frizzy hair. If she had made eye contact she would see my hair is very fine. Very disappointing.

I had a very odd experience here yesterday. I went in to get a new foundation. Immediately upon walking in, 2 employees stood there and looked me up and down with very judgemental and rude stares. I told them I needed assistance finding a moisturizing foundation. They sent me to the Clinique counter. I let the Clinique tech know that I am currently on Accutane for my skin and because of the dryness, I need a good moisturizing foundation. She then proceeded to tell me how she can tell I have acne under my makeup multiple times.... She did direct me to some Clinique foundation, but then she started handing me multiple products with little knowledge as to what benefits they would provide me. She even admitted she didnt use the products herself. She started directing me towards topical acne treatment which I obviously can not use while being treated with as serious a medicine as Accutane. I was frustrated but respectful. I ended up leaving without purchasing any items.

Purchase a new perfume and got a free pack back! Love it!

I am so annoyed. I went here and they gave me the wrong shade. The manager as well as many employees knew nothing about doing make up for Black skin. The managers didnt even address the issue. She just skirted right on by my point. I see difference race of customers come in this place so they should be able to cater to all races. They definitely need culture training and to hire more Black people. Very disappointed.

Was the next person in line and only one girl working at counter. Stood in line for 10 minutes, and there were about 8 people that came up behind us in line and no one called for help up front until the line got very backed up. There were many girls working on the floor that saw the line backed up and no one did anything for a while.

Made an appointment for hair color and brows over the phone on a Tuesday for Friday. Got the the conformation text. Took time off of work, drove almost an hour to get there and arrived to only find out my appointments had both been cancelled. Proved to the girls that I had made an appointment, called and received the text, and was told sorry your appointment was cancelled. They ask one person to see if she could work me in, but it seemed like such an inconvenience for everyone there. I just told them to forget it. Wont make another appointment there.

I’ve only been to this salon twice so far and both times, my stylist Emily impressed me greatly. She is amazing with hair color to be so young, and when she has questions about how to make a certain trim or cut, she seeks help from other stylists.. some people would just guess at something they weren’t sure of, but Emily knows when she needs a second set of eyes, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. She is very nice, makes you feel like a friend the first time you meet her, and she takes her time to make sure you are happy. I will return to her on a regular basis, and I am very impressed.

Was greeted outside the door and was not allowed to enter because I didn’t wear a mask. Why do you want people to fall for this control nonsense? We are not in the Middle East! I don’t have to cover my face! I nor will my family or any of my friends which are huge makeup fanatics ever shop with any ulta again! Masks are more detrimental to your health than wearing one!!! Stop being controlled!

The workers were so hopeful ! unfortunately the lady who was helping me out with a new concealer matched me completely wrong and when i tried the concealer out at home i looked like flash back mary ... not sure why the shade she gave me was as light as it was but i’m very disappointed on how i wasted my money on the product.

Great store with an amazing variety of makeup from drug store to luxury brand names. They have much more than just makeup, including bath, body/face, & other items like soap, body scrubs, hair styling tools, perfume, etc. Its a great store to shop in or even just look around for fun!

I have had my hair done by 3 different stylists and each one was wonderful. I highly recommend them!

If you need help with makeup choices this is the place to go! Evy was extremely helpful! I needed new foundation and wow did she help me! She applied it to my whole face and then brought me to different sections of the store to check it in different lighting. She went above and beyond for me. I had come in with makeup and she put some blush back on me saying she couldn’t let me leave with just foundation on lol. It was a truly unexpected great experience.

Absolutely amazing experience! Yolanda and Megan were so patient and sweet with my mom who has rosacea and has a hard time finding products that work with her skin. I wont be back. There was an employee who was rude and dismissive. I went to Ulta beauty store because it carries Juvias Place products. The store was clean and well stocked. The reason she was rude to me is because I was touching products that I wanted to buy. The store now has a policy that you cannot touch products on display. I refuse to buy something and have doubts about it. If thats the case, I might as well shop online. Ive visited 4 different stores in the last 3 weeks for makeup. Kohls, Target, Walmart, and Ulta beauty. Ulta Beauty is the most expensive. Having someone disrespect me and I still support their business; is asinine.

I have spent literally thousands in this store over the course of my time living in Summerville and today I honestly felt like I was being followed as if I steal or something. An older employee working here was literally looking over my shoulder everywhere I went. I went in this store with the intentions of actually looking and spending more than I did, but got annoyed with the following. I felt uncomfortable and just bought the one thing I had so far and left. Won’t be shopping here anymore.

The staff is always very nice and professional. I have done multiple online order pickups from here and they are done within ten minutes.

So today me and my friend went to Ulta and this nice woman informed us that you could get a braid for free for that day. And it was to promote their salon and stuff. I believe the girls name was Alex i cant really remember but she made sure the braid wasn’t too tight or anything. And she did really well and it was super cute. And she was extremely nice and idk she was just good at her job. And they were really nice to me so I decided to give them a review.

Manager is rude, and said they were just a warehouse. Not shopping here again. I’ll go back to Sephora.

I waited around in the foundation aisle for what seemed like over 30 minutes to get a color match. No one said anything to me, and no asked if I needed anything until I started to walk out the door. When I was leaving, one of the ladies that was at the register when I arrived asked if I needed anything. There were 2 ladies doing a customer’s makeup, in which I was waiting patiently for them to finish. I don’t think it takes 2 people to do a single person’s makeup. I usually do all my ULTA shopping online but I’ve had a hard time trying to find my shade in 2 different foundations that I was hoping to purchase. This was a waste of my time.

Went to the salon for the very first time and was amazed by everything. Previously I had a terrible hair cut done by a different salon and Jessica C fixed me right up! I loved the deep conditioning process as well, my hair has never felt better and I will be back!

Got a gift set for christmas from my father and he got the wrong set. Went to exchange it and they wouldnt exchange it! Ive been a reliable Ulta customer over the years and spent $1000s of dollars with them and they wouldnt allow me to make an even exchange! IM NEVER SHOPPING WITH THE COMPANY AGAIN IF THESE ARE THEIR POLICIES!

I was very disappointed in my visit (and visits in the past).There were many associates talking to each other, no one said hi to me or asked if I needed any help. They didnt have one of the products I was looking for. I couldnt find a simple set of tweezers. When checking out, there was only one cashier who was also in charge of the phones. She was busy trying to help the customer on the phone and wasnt focusing on the customers in front of her. The manager came behind the counter several times talking to the cashier and giving her instruction of what to tell the person on the phone while I was trying to check out. The cashier went back to the phone while I was paying and then spent an extremely long time on the phone again. The manager saw this and saw the line of people and just said shell get you. Seriously?! I stopped going to the salon because I was tired of having to go back to get my color redone because it wasnt what I asked for and the stylist werent very friendly. I wont be going back. The prices are too high and the customer service is non-existent.

Had the pleasure of getting my hair colored today by Holly! It is freaking amazing y’all. She did such a great job and her knowledge and skill set is out of this world! I came in as a walk in with two different photos that were basically the opposite of each other and she made it happen for me!All the staff was friendly, everyone was laughing and having a good time. Awesome environment to be in.

I love everything Ulta has to offer, always find exactly what I need. The reason for the 2 star rating is simply due to a phone conversation with an employee by the name of Kelsey which I assume works in the salon area. In the past I have received a free Brow Shaping the week of my birthday so I called to see if the service was still offered to Ulta Rewards Members. The reply from the employee was very short, No I dont think so and thats it! No explanation regarding why they stopped offering the free service, not even a suggestion as to how much the service would cost. She is in desperate need of a lesson in phone etiquette. This wont stop me from being a regular customer but I wanted to voice my opinion.

Awesome assortment of every beauty need. Helpful staff willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant shopping experience. Not sure what to get? They have assistants there that allow you to try it out before you buy!! Some items are a little on the pricey side but the quality is great!

Ive been in here multiple time and every time they seem to be out of whatever product Im looking for at the time. Id understand if it were on sale and in demand but some things Im just reupping and consistently they are out. Its not even worth trying anymore. Go to the Mount Pleasant one. They are better stocked.

Went to get my hair dyed LIGHT brown at the salon, didn’t inform me what color they were doing, just started putting it in. the lady didn’t even tell me her name, and didn’t talk much at all. when everything was done my hair was literally the darkest brown there is, it nearly looks black. worst experience i’ve ever had with a hair salon and definitely don’t recommend. now i’m going to have to go somewhere else and spend a lot of money to get enough highlights to lighten it to the color i originally wanted . i don’t even want to give them 1 star .

This is such a clean store! Everything is well laid out and the staff seems very willing to help - they will even approach you to ask if you need help.I visited on a Saturday morning and walked right in, not paying attention to the time or the sign on the door that indicated the Open time.There were people in the salon in the rear and it was already busy. I did not realize that the store itself was not open. Another woman walked in as well - she didnt realize it either.The manager was very gracious, never said anything to us about it (we did figure it out on our own though). She just shrugged it off and said it was no problem and she even went ahead and checked us out.Great service, friendly personnel. They made a very good impression.

I visited Ulta to purchase a birthday present for my sister. I was approached by an associate asking if I needed help.. showed her the make-up kits I was looking for & she immediately took me to they were located. Unfortunately, they didnt have the kit I went for, but she showed me what was available. Excellent customer service!!!

So pricey but they have everything. There was a young lady that offered and did a color match on me for foundation; it was like having a proper bra fitting! Gel polish I asked for was actually lacquer and the whole set was expensive. Ill be back.

If NEGATIVE TEN stars were an option, that is the rating I would give this salon. I went in with very long hair and told Jessica I wanted to donate to locks of love. I asked if I had enough hair to donate and also have my hair be shoulder length afterwards. She assured me I had more than enough hair to be SHOULDER LENGTH after meeting the required length for donating. She was carrying on a conversation with another stylist while she chopped off my ponytail. By the end of my hair cut I had no more than TWO INCHES AROUND MY ENTIRE HEAD, with an awkward one inch in the back! The best stylist in the world could not fix what Jessica had done. Nine months later, my hair still was not shoulder length! Of course the fact that my hair went to a great cause offers much consolation, but I imagine this salon botches plenty of peoples hair, not just the ones who are donating. I am so sorry to have to leave such negative feedback but I really wish I could have read something like this before going in to the Ulta salon.

At least this is only my junior prom and and senior prom I know to spend my money at a location with a more helpful staff.

The manager or whoever the lady was followed me constantly through some of the aisles I was getting stuff from as if I was stealing. Im black and I definitely don’t appreciate that. Stealing makeup products wasn’t my intention walking in there. I definitely won’t be going back to this store.

And Amazonian clay foundation ! I was weary but seriously I’m impressed And my skin feels fantastic?! She was very informative of products educated me on why my skin is dry and oily !! She set me up with products and brushes to combat my lady lines on my forehead and there’s a huge difference and I can’t thabk you enough!!Every time I’ve come here staff has been attentive and helped me addresses my needs! Im giving this place 2 stars because the guy with white hair was nice to me, otherwise itd be 1 star. Im a platinum member, beyond platinum to be honest. So I really know my way around an ulta store. I could not find a certain product, so I stopped to ask a girl. She told me to get out of her way (she was pushing a stock cart) came back looked at the shelf for 2 seconds and said they didnt carry it. Okay fine, other brands sell the same product, could she suggest one? Nope, her attitude was outrageous. The guy was great, super sweet and helpful, found me a product. Still, when buying a $60 eye serum I dont need to be insulted.

This shop has quite a selection of products. I thought it was just a makeup store but they sell everything from shampoo,makeup even hairdryers and styling products too. The staff is very helpful and friendly and you can even get a makeover with samples to go for FREE. The prices are great too.

I went in to get a cut and color. I told them I wanted a trim and for my hair to be thinned out. Also that I was growing it out for my wedding. The whole time all I heard about was going out drinking and how much time my hair was going to take. I walked out with a short Bob. When I just wanted it trimmed. Before I walked in I could have my hair up in a pony tail. Its so short now I cant even do that. My wedding is in 6 months. NOT HAPPY.

I love The Salon especially since the fact that they have one of the most talented and creative hair stylists available on their team Karoline has cut my hair for almost a year now and by far is my favorite hair stylist she has just been nothing but superb and amazingly on point!!I wont get my hair cut by anybody else and I refuse to do so because she knows how I like my hair and thats something thats priceless in my book!!!!As far as the actual store itself woo buddy let me tell you about some prices and some price gouges way too high and prices for a lot of their items that you can probably get online for a lot cheaper but whos complaining!!!!!! Wow my first experience in Ulta Beauty Ashely was amazing she assisted me fine everything I needed very knowledgeable. She had Beautiful lashes she was wearing a product they sold in store she a walking model for Ulta

We were just in there getting my friends hair done for her wedding and Sam was awful. Every time we asked her to fix something she got an attitude and said she couldn’t do it because her hair won’t work like that. The hair stylists were getting their hair colored while doing other people’s hair. The brushes had hair in them and had obviously not been cleaned. Finally another hair stylist came over and did exactly what we wanted and Sam went to the break room and didn’t come back out till we were leaving. Go somewhere else.

The staff here are very involved when it comes to assisting their customers. I had some issues matching myself with a foundation but two of the sales reps definitely stepped in and helped me out and also recommended a few other products. I will be shopping here more often.

I have only been to this location once and purchased online once. So far so good.

Absolutely hate coming here. I was in the area decided to stop by because they were having a sale. They had signs all over for the Ulta Beauty lipstick line on sale from $9 to $4.50, so I grabbed 4 colors I loved in matte. When I got to the register they rang up normal price. I looked at the cashier and stated there were signs all over showing $4.50, for each lipstick. She called the manager I explained to the manager I worked at Sephora once and I know that they had to give it to me for $4.50 because its their mistake for misplacing the advertisement. Her words were Well, since you know how it works I am not going to take the fault here you should have read the sign better I said Excuse you and she walked away then went over and moved all the sale signs to the proper place instead of the matte it was only for gloss lipsticks. I will NEVER step foot in this Ulta ever again. The staff is no where to be found, the store is a mess, the manager is rude as hell. I called corporate since I had her name and reported her. Dont throw away your money here make the trip to Sephora you will get by far the best service and they stand by their faults! If someone accidentally misplaced a sale sign youll get the item. She threw a fit because I asked her to give it to me for the sales price. Thanks but this store really does suck up space and the staff is horrible!

My daughter and I love ulta. This store is well placed and easy to get to. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall a very clean store. The selection is great. We like that we can try some of the cosmetics before purchasing them. The one thing I wish they would have in this store that I have seen in other ulta stores is drug store foundation sample bottles. This is your base makeup thats sets the stage for your whole face. Its awful to buy a color you think is a match only to have to return it or their it away because its not the right color. Other than them needing to make that change we love this store.

Just went to this Ulta for the 6th or 7th time this month and went to salon and got the same French braids I usually do and was initially charged $20. I’m always charged $10 for French braids the stylist said it’s $10 a braid and I’ve been to mount pleasent and this location and that’s never been a thing until today. It wasn’t just that though when I arrived the stylist asked me what kind of braids I wanted an I explained two French braid down the back and she was talking about inverted braids/ Dutch braids. I’m not the expert so i don’t know what she wasn’t comprehending. I have barely shoulder length hair and no one should pay $20 for braiding my hair was already washed just needed to be braided. $20 for two small braids. That’s insane. If 5 of your stylists charge $10 for the same service and one stylist is saying $20 including a “manager” I think there’s some mis communication in your salon.

If you are a girlie girl and love makeup perfumes, and hair supplies etc. Than is this is the store for you. Its so pretty when you walk in, the atmosphere is very inviting and they have excellent customer service and I feel everything is well priced as well.

This place is a zoo. They seem to always be out of stock of whatever Im specifically there to get. Ive noticed on multiple occasions that the employees are just gabbing amongst themselves when there is a massive line and several ppl looking for assistance. Ive been needing to return an item for over a month now but because of how busy theyve been and how slow the lines were I didnt have the time to wait. Will try again soon. Hopefully their service will get better.
